GONE MISSING

11-Oct-11
Yet another DNF on my trip to Penrith. There were muggles aplenty while I was there, which limited my searching options. I thought I spotted it but was unable to get to it, but when I came to log my DNF, I discovered it had been disabled as it was missing.. I guess I spotted something else. Sigh. I really must update my GPSr more frequently. I was operating on a list about 4 weeks old. THis was not the only disabled cache I failed to find.

Another Great day and very good find on my holiday around Sydney area. A short search had the cache located. SL Thanks for the fun!

15-Sep-11
The cache was easy to spot when I looked the right way - I put it back a little further into the hidey hole to make it more difficult for muggles to see

12-Sep-11
We had to lift geoson to get this one.

The weather today is a wonderful 22° so the ageing Bushfire thought it was time to again find a few smileys in this wonderful area.
When I am in this area because I have family in Glenmore Park I always try to find a few while here I am here.
Today I have added another 9 to my tally so you have to be happy with that.
This is the fourth find today and the third which was placed by Boo'sDad.
Now the ageing Bushfire was here on his own and is vertically challenged but earlier today purchased a device that increases his reach so this turned out to be a piece of cake.
I was able to grab and replace this cache with no problems at all, I don't know why I have waited so long to buy this device.
Again thanks to Boo'sDad for placing this cache and for making it an easy grab with very few muggles around.

This is another of the caches in the Penrith area that I've been meaning to get to, but everytime I go past I see the location looking crowded. Even tonight, at 8.15pm on a Tuesday there were people out training on the field. But we stopped anyway. I figured out the area I should be looking, but admit bikerbuddy retrieved the container for me as I was just not able to reach that high.

Thanks Boo'sDad Smile.

Found this cache while daughter was playing a all day netball tournament at local park. Being a tall person(6ft1 ), it wasn't a problem finding this cache. Had to watch out for a couple of council workers nearby.

Found with Minyakano, made things interesting as neither of us suited to retrieve this cache. Eventually figured out a way to get at it. Thanks.

Barely a muggle in sight on a cold windy afternoon. Searched GZ closely, yet still came up empty handed. Phoned Webby, and as I was talking to him I spied the telltale flouro blue of a Sistema clip. I searched there, I really did! not well enough of cause. Thanks BD

Found on the way home from the movies with Glenwarra69 - found the cache and a spot of rain.

16-Jul-11
No one around at all at 5.30 in the evening. Atleast the building has lighting, as it was already dark. There was really only a few places for it to be, although my iPhone was jumping around all over the place. No problem for me as I'm 6'3". TFTC

No luck for me here today, but then I am short, so maybe even if I did find it I would have struggled to reach it! Oh well...

The find date on this is a little approximate as i had originally forgot to log it online, but once i figure out the correct date (once nepeancacher logs it) I'll be able to fix it...
ANYWAYS...
Came out here today to meet up with the family and watch a friendly game of soccer. By the time the game was over the afternoon was getting late, but figured with such a great area with plenty of trees there was time enough for some fun slacklining. But in good time it was getting a little to dark even for that, so finally, to finish off the day in the park joined up with Nepeancacher to find this little evasive cache. Took a little bit to find but sure enough a happy log was signed
Thanks for another good cache Boosdad!

The geohubby grabbed this a few weeks ago. The boys and I came on our own, but couldn't reach it. So today on our way home and no-one in the immediate nearby park, we brought him with us to retrieve it. It had moved somewhat from the original spot, so we put it back where it should be. The last of ten for the day.

Found this cache with Daniel 2:22 back on 2nd July at 5:22pm, but completly forgot to log it. Was looking for more caches to find this weekend and thought "I have already found this one". Luckly I had taken a couple of photos of it so I knew the date. (actually I used the flash on the camera to find it in the dark). Well better to log late than never. TFTC Boo'sDad.

A quick find in the absolute desertion of near midnight. Nobody around at all! We knew right away where we *thought* it would be, but it evaded us a couple minutes until we found it :p Took a pirates coin, left a Pokemon (Plasmon!) toy. TFTC! Smile

Second time lucky!

Have you ever had that frustrating geocaching experience: but I looked here the first time!

Anyhow, arrived at GZ at night again -- so no muggles about -- and brought a little light-weight 'assistance' with me. CIH in 30 seconds . . .

Container was in good shape and the log book was dry.

TNLNSL.

Many thanks to Boo'sDad!

Arrived here after midnight and of course not a muggle in sight!

Coordinates took me to a couple of extremely likely places to hide a 'small' -- which also fit the clue.

However, nothing was there! I did find a ballpoint pen in one of the spots, which led me to worry that another muggling has taken place during the busy Sunday sports period.

Will contact the CO . . .

First visit I was spooked by an old drunk collecting bottles!

Second visit took way too long as the co-ordinates were spot on!

Coordinates changed from:
S 33° 45.844 E 150° 41.411

Coordinates changed to:

Distance from original: 49.1 feet or 15 meters.

Updating coordinates as they are to far out

Got here soon after my nearby First to find. co-ords sent me to grass but to closest structure had to be it. no one near by, I did laps around looking for spots. 10 mins through then finally found the cache hide. Nice hide. TFTC

Hahaha, i had a better chance at finding a 4 star difficulty than 2.5, the new coordinates lead me to the rubbish bin out the front. Not sure if my GPS was out.
I'm glad i was just the right height though.

FTF at 3:57 pm

This one and the nearby mystery cache popped up on my email this afternoon, so I decided I'd try for another month of FTF. When I got down to 0 metres on the GPS I was still in the middle of a grassy area, but the likely place was nearby. I took a few minutes looking about and then spotted a likely hiding spot. I put my hands on it immediately. There were a lot of people at the playing fields this afternoon, but not so many over this side. There were only a few spectators with their backs to me, watching a soccer game.

Anyway, I can't give a definite opinion about the coordinates. My GPS had them about 17 metres off, but there was a lot of cloud cover. Thanks for another one Boo'sDad. Big Grin
