a beautiful sunny winters day for a beach walk we arrived here the same time as high tide, so off to have some lunch and came back later in the arvo. Master 7 made the find with a little help, with a nice new log book inside! a great place to wander, very interesting rocks and history, thanks for the cache!
The Land Before Time has been replaced and should be safe again until we get a real major storm on high tide. I've added some treasures for you to celebrate the new cache. Enjoy my favourite place to explore.
Easy find when we used our eyes and didn't assume it was where evidence of cachers' unsuccessful searches were!
Nice coast down here. I didn’t see any dinosaurs and only a few muggles. An easy catch. TFTC
We were here just a little too late so we could only get into the first cave. Will be back at low tide to attempt to access the other one. Instead we wandered down the beach and found this cache. Nice morning on a cloudy, windy Cup Weekend.
After a bit of a search, and failed attempts at getting up the cliff, I read the hint. Easy find after that, beautiful beach area.
Bit of a late post, from November last year.

What a beautiful walk. Great hide, lucky we had someone who could reach with us. Thanks.

As I continued to make my way across the state on a road trip from Newcastle to Alice Springs, I took a little detour out to visit a few select caches along the way. As I was in the nearby area, this looked like a fun one to do, and after finding a park, I headed down the stairs and rock hopped my way to GZ. I was fortunate that I arrived right on low tide, so once at GZ the cache was located in a nice high safe dry spot.
Gratias gentoopeng.

Bit of a walk to get to the cache but totally worth it. Even though the fam wasn't keen on much of a walk they enjoyed rockpooling and finding interesting shells on the way. The rocks and cliffs are fascinating, with so much to look at. Maybe we even spotted some fossils! All in all a great spot for a cache. TFTC
Found this cache while on a weekend away with nyochi, gillybean and muggle penny. Found this a week ago but only just noticed the log hadn't uploaded... so here it is... wish we had more time to explore the beach.
This is an amazing beach - all the textures and colours are just beautiful. We were here at just the right time of evening. No crowds, no wind, sunshine and wonderment. Miss A found the cache after a brief search. TFTC
Thanks for bringing us to the flats for this cache, it's a beautiful spot! Make sure you walk right from the stairs also if you want to check out the cool caves. (Low tide is a must)
Low tide was a good choice for discovering this Geocache and the caves further down the beach. Thanks for the cache!
After waiting for low tide, Geokid and I enjoyed a long walk along the rocks, checking out shells, mollusks, rock pools full of weird sea weed and starfish - we even spotted a fosilised tree. Dodged a fair few march flies too. On the way back to the geo vehicle we managed to spot this one after a short search. TNLN TFTC
KAKAGA Mark 2: Kate And Kelly's Amazing Geocaching Adventure is happening again because we're free of children, chores and work! Hurrah! A trip down to the coast was organised with the New Years events and rail trail in mind and ended with a count of: one emergency department visit, one headbutted tree, one muggle asking if we were looking for drugs, endless swarms of flies, many scratches, one sunburned shoulder, one milestone 1000th cache, great meals, good company and 66 caches.
We loved our little walk along the shore here and Kato had a little paddle before we made the find in between fishing muggles. A quick signature and we were on our way. TFTC gentoopeng. I must admit, I did grump that there were no caves and the cache name was false advertising.....until we got up a little higher and saw too massive ones. My apologies for grumping.

This weekend marked the second of the much anticipated KAKAGA trips (Kate and Kelly's Amazing Geocaching Adventures). Mummy Short Legs and I were both very excited to be given the opportunity to spend almost two full days together with nothing but a vehicle, our bikes and our GPSs for company. We were not going to let soaring temperatures or bucketloads of flies stop us, we were going to cache our way around the Inverloch/Wonthaggi area till we dropped (or until the geohusbands begged for our return at least!).
I thoroughly enjoyed the walk along this beach, paddling on the way. It was such a hot day and this was cache number 16 for me, so I was already well covered in a layer of caching dirt and grime. At gz a few muggles were about so we shuffled around and for bit before they looked away and then we made the quick grab. Thanks for the cache gentoopeng, we wondered where the caves were until we were back on the cliffs then we saw them! Amazing! Beautiful spot.

We didn't actually check tide times before heading off but chanced this one and it turned out okay. A nice dry container and log and a great and interesting adventure. Thanks!!
[:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort.

It seems that the storms we have had recently around Inverloch may have our cache free. As Gay and I are currently approaching Cape York we won't have it back on line to August 8th.
We got this one in perfect timing empty beach tide out Beautiful weather todays going to be the perfect day with this being our first cache for the day but not our last tftc with geodude#74
Nice walk along the beach and not a muggle in sight. Nice spot for a cache. Found with Lilmissgeo. TFTC!
Some muggles doing the tour, the cave wasn't what we were expecting but good cache TFTC
Suscoe decided to spend a second day visiting the caches of the Inverloch area.
It was significantly different temperature wise today, about 20 degrees cooler in fact.
Clouds accompanied the day, but it kept dry until quite late in the afternoon.
We continued to enjoy finding these caches, a delightful range of hides, containers and locations.
A delightful walk along the beach today, great to examine the cliff and the platforms.
Thanks to gentroopeng for placing this cache here.

I was on this beach looking for dinosaur claw marks, fossils and the Earthcache so it was nice to find another cache here. I found everything but the claw marks, my niece and family were here last month when the dig was going on and they were shown the marks, but we couldn't find them.
A favourite for the location.

I've been here lots of times after different treasure. Reading others reports gave me a good clue and it was in hand and signed.
On a road trip while over for the Melbourne Mega.
Thanks for adding to the enjoyment of this trip.
Found after a short search. Lots of flies here.

TFTC! Found while staying at RACV for work. What an amazing spot! This coastline is incredible. Log signed
Found a few weeks ago during a lovely walk along the beach. Tide was right out, great rock pools around this area too! Thanks for hiding this, great fun to find a cache while wandering along.
Lovely walk along the beach and a nice easy cache before sitting down on the rocks and enjoying the view. Thanks.
Headed over to Inverloch and Cape Paterson to find a cache or two with MizzJane. (Especially an Earth Cache)
The tide was in so we did not attempt to get this one.
MizzJane and I will return and look for this cache

We have been meaning to come and scout out the fossils down this way for a long time and this cache has been a much desired objective, so set out on a fine day and managed to get it before the tide turned, no fossils to be found today. TFTC
Found on a beautifully calm winter day 8/8/15 by Harveyspectre and the running girls

Found it after a little hunt around!
Got wet with the fast moving tide...a fun cache!

There seems to be some sort of covert surveillance going on in the Car park to catch those littering amongst other things according to signage .Im guessing a motion activated camera or similar.Any way , Down the stairs and a short walk up the beach as tide was starting to come it. Made the quick find.TFTC
Nice walk along the beach to find this cache. One of those caches that provokes the "I'm glad that geocaching brought me here" type strolls.
Day 2 of our South Gippsland holiday and caching adventures saw us (me and the 4 & 6 year old geokids) spending the morning between Inverloch and Cape Patterson. We arrived just in time today before the tide rose. It was an easy find but we scurried back and had to wait for one set of waves to get back through! Phew! Such a great spot and such interesting history. Thanks for highlight the area. A fav from us
Found quite some time ago but didn't realize until we were on another caching day in the area!

We were on a trip down to Inverloch for a weekend away and to complete the D/T Matrix which we did yesterday with some great company. Today was a different story with some easier finds. This one was a great place to visit and glad the tide was in our favour. The geo family had fun on the beach and this one was found quickly. Stamped and replaced as found.
[blue]Thanks for this traditional cache hide, getoopeng. [^]
Log and container in good condition.

TFTC. Housesitting in Inverloch for the next six weeks. It is a beautiful autumn day and a caching run along the coastline is beckoning.
A short scramble over the rocks and the cache was in hand

An early start saw us head over to the Dinosaur Dig area to do the earth cache and then we realised this was close and was the tide was not big although it looked like big seas again we headed along the rock platform and as we approached GZ spotted the corner of the cache. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC.

The Sun finally came out while we searched for the cache. Once located, we signed the log and took the tb. Good view of bald hills wind farm across the water. Thanks for the cache
