Damn! What a great cache! Shame it's been muggled....

10-Jun-12
Obviously muggled. Sorry this has taken so long to archive. We won't get a chance to make another one in the near future, so will open up the location for others.

23-May-12
Had a job close by id thought I would have a look as I have found it before ,its gone where the cache is located has been trimmed by council, cheers.

18-May-12
Was gunhoe here and was probably never going to find this one by previous logs

18-May-12
Please check this cache. The DNFs are adding up.

02-May-12
did not look at the previous logs, but this one has issues and needs checking... will return.

02-May-12
Visited it today on an 8 hour caching spree with club_bindi and JYGE.
Had a look since we were so close knowing the odds were against us. The odds were against us. TFTC.

What a shame not to find this one, my experience with Harroandchook caches in the past has been nothing but pleasant and this one seems to be quite popular on the favourites... I wonder what it was I missed out on?
Hopefully alls well and I have simply been led by other peoples DNF logs, but it certainly does not look good! I hope to return and give it another go.

10-Apr-12
Could the cache owner please check this one out and make sure it's still in place?
Kind Regards ruffasgutts4x4

25-Mar-12
I think it's gone. Judging on the amount of recent DNFs, I think it's worth the CO having a quick check. Liked the hint though. Very Happy A longish search proved nothing.

24-Mar-12
Don't know if we were looking with too narrow thinking as I kept saying it has to be around this particular spot but no luck. A shame as harroandchook always create lovely caches.

23-Mar-12
Couldn't find it. Looked for ages and could't find anything. Figured out the clue but couldn't find it. Might be worth CO having a look. Must of been a few neighbours looking at us weirdly and didn't know what we were doing, but in the end we didn't find it.

12-Mar-12
Took Rocky (the dog) for a walk this morning. Went looking for this one, but wasn't too hopeful given the last few logs. Sure enough - its gone. I was certain I was looking in the right area. The coordinates fitted, the clue made sense, but no cache. Sigh!

10-Mar-12
Searched all around the most likely location with out any success. Will keep an eye out to see if anyone else finds it.

02-Mar-12
Umm not sure if I just didn't find it but I'm pretty sure I was in the right spot cause all I found was a nano sized magnet and that's all. Looked like it could have had something glued to it at one time too. If its still there though then this is a very elaborate excuse

23-Jan-12
I found a likely structure at GZ for a magnetic nano. I also found a small magnet connected to that certain structure. No cache was located.
I'm always wary of mentioning this but i think this cache has wandered off.
I'll keep watch so someone can more than likely prove me wrong.
Thanks harroandchook

12.35pm, GAFF3, a few muggles playing in the park so Geoson had some time on the play equipment whilst I had a hunt around.

From the dark appeared an apparition - cachers enmasse - Gunnie69, Ghostgums, lochb, La Kedi, Tassiegirl13, bedmaker, Rebel Acts & I descended onto GZ in full dark to begin our hunt...

Cache was to hand without undue difficulty, too comments of appreciation from the assembled throng regarding this quality container... - very neat...

This is a fine cache and another creative piece of work. There were lots of sniggers and groans of admiration when the container was revealed... [^]

Lucky the hide was well placed or it could have been transformed into an IKEA flat pack cache while we were hunting in the dark... Surprised

Cheers harroandchook.

Another brilliant container, there have been a few tonight! And the hint made me grin. Thanks for bringing me here tonight, really enjoyed the hide. TFTC! =^.^=

Had to work around the muggle in the park, so used the geo mutt as a diversion.
Everything worked out well with the muggle none the wiser.
Thanks again for a great cache.

Tough little sucker this turned out to be. I realised the significance of the cache. A neat little hide.

28-Sep-11
Arrived at GZ with torches in hand. Started looking around the obvious places, then one of the neighbours porch lights gets flicked on and they come out with their dogs. Not wanting to be barked at we decided to leave this one for another day. TFTH

24-Sep-11
This was a great cache that was easy to find. I absolutely loved the camo. This was the last one for the day because it had just started to rain, and I was out with Geogfriend and Geofamily. Geokids were tired, so it was time to go home. Thanks for getting us to this little park, and thanks for a really great cache.

Had the park to myself initially, but after a short while a couple of bike riding kids came along and parked near the swings. So I sat on the nearby seat to do some googling and also think about the hint. After that it was a quick grab and back to the seat for the signing duties. The muggles disappeared during this time and I was able to replace the clever little container. Thanks harroandchook.

02-Sep-11
Nice easy find, had a bit of a giggle at the hint.

28-Aug-11
My closest cache to home. Found on an unplanned outing with Sensible Shoes and Shoes Junior. I didn't have any cache info with me but Sensible Shoes gave a hint as to the general area the cache was in. Another awesome harroandchook cache, very creative!

How appropriate! Geowife really liked the camo, and we all admired what we normally don't like.

Signed log, with difficulty, and no doubt illegibly. Thanks Harroandchook for another great disguise.

There are only a few things I don’t like running into while caching or gardening and Helix Aspersa is one of them. Maybe it reminds me of my childhood having an ivy vine over the back fence where they use to congregate in great numbers. So being a keen golfer I use to practice driving them with my 2 wood. It wasn’t a pretty sight! Well done excellent use of natural camouflage. Big GrinBig Grin.

What else would we expect from H&C.....excellent camo cover very, very original....really loved this one....look forward to your future ones....TFTC

After a DNF down the road due to many muggles, so I gave this one a go and found that there were also muggles in the park. I waited 10 minutes and the muggles disappeared. Having read the hint before arriving, I knew exactly what to do and had the cache in hand. Had trouble trying to get the log out, so it was back to the car for some tools. Thanks H and C for a great cache.
Cheers

Reperio at 1620. This one was made a bit easier knowing the relevance of the cache name. Once at GZ, I hoped it was on the most prominent object in the area, and not somewhere more it's habitat, and after a short search, the cache was revealed. A nice big open park area.

Gratias.

20-Jun-11
A nice little park that we'll come back to. We wondered how a "black magnetic nano" could rate three favourite points, but now we know. Loved the container! TFTC.

20-Jun-11
My 100th find! Seeing that the park and I share the same first name, it was a natural choice for this milestone. After challenging Mummy's nerves by being a bit adventurous on the play equipment, I'll definitely be back to play in the playground again.

20-Jun-11
Today I was snug as a bug in a ... cache container. This looks like a great playground - something to definitely look forward to when I'm older.

19-Jun-11
Another awesome one! Quick find, but I have to admit I looked over the area, went back for a second look after checking some logs Wink

Cache Hunt 504; GAFF3; Weather, Rainy; Helpers, None; Cache condition, Good; Find of the day, 1st; STATUS; Found; GPS at GZ - 2m

It was raining and I didn't want to go to work. So I left early from home for a couple of caches. Steveishere was on the phone to me when he did this one, so I thought I'd give it a try.

Got to gz and started looking. Checked some logs and kept searching around where the gps was telling me to go. I read the hint, and for the first time in ages, is was a hint that made sense Smile Yes of course. I checked some places for the second time and then found the cache. Ahhhh....It is a another clever one from H&C. Great. SL and replaced. So now I now what it all means. Thanx for the clever hide, TFTC.

14-Jun-11
another one that took some time. but found at last. Still not completely sure about the hints. Another creative cache from H and C. Love your work guys!

This could off been a really tricky cache but like other harroandchook caches i know better then to just jump now. Awesome cache cheers.

sneaky cache but found super quike tftc Smile

Found it just on dusk, a tricky find and lots of fun.

# for today: 1, TOD: Night, Conditions: Fine & Cold - brrrrrr, Cache Condition: Excellent, Others: Nil, Notes - Nil.
After rustling around in the bushes for 15 minutes I stood back and considered the environment and what I would do. Went back to a spot I had searched a couple of time previously but this time exerted a little more effort. Bingo - CIH. What a cute little critter;)

Now I must admit to spending 20 minutes researching the history of the 3 countries mentioned in the clue and can only say I have been spending too much time working on tricky puzzle caches lately. Whilst signing the log I was still pondering the clue and it wasn't until I was half way home that I gave myself a smack in the head, then started to chuckle!!

SL TFTC

Well done harroandchook, a favourite from me for both the imaginative cache and that clue Smile

07-Jun-11
I'd just arrived at GZ and was looking at the cache entry on my phone when a car pulled up at the park, the driver got out and started to walk this way, hmm could be a cacher, the GPS in his hand kinda gave it away a bit too!

Intro were made and it was none other than Yurt, I seemed to remember just missing him on an FTF hunt out at Bella Vista, well, looks like we'd have to share this one.

I looked in one place and Yurt looked in another and had CIH in short order.

Shared FTF with Yurt, TFTC SL.

..... and then another car turned up, intro's were made again and we now had Ifeelu here as well. Swapped some caching stories and bid Yurt farewell while watching ifeelu do a quick find on the cache.

In Thomas Extrem Park who else should I bump into other than extremepc? Being a harroandchook cache we expected something a bit different and so it proved. Always innovative this one should harvest a few more favourite points. Nice to joint *FTF* on this.
As we were leaving one of the other expected FTF hounds rolled up and it was iFeelU who I'd met on a previous FTF hunt some time ago. A few yarns were exchanged and advice traded then I had to head back to work.
Nice one.
Thanks!

07-Jun-11
Parked my car next to the park, an immediately realised the FTF is GONE! Yurt & extremepc chating, so definetely the job was done Big Grin, very geocaching conversation between us,and everyone back to work
quick find of this nice worked cache.
Thank you harroandchook for another creative cache

Looks like I missed the party But I found the slippery little fella!
This cache did not disappoint however my GPS was saying 2mtrs from its location and that had me looking a bit longer, then I tried PAF to Google some words that I knew I should know but as I was disusing this hide with Alfyboy I HCIH.
Great job once again harroandchook.
Regards,
Steveishere SmileSmile

I missed publication of this new one earlier today, because I was nearby 'smelling the roses,' as it were . . .

But at 9pm I headed back to Baulkham Hills, my ancient knowledge of Latin refreshed, and found a quiet little park.

The caching deed didn't take long . . .

Container was quite dry, notwithstanding its namesake's usual condition, and the log scroll was in good shape too, though requiring a very, very small 'P' instead of my usual geocaching name.

TNLNSL.

Many thanks to harroandchook!
