Cool I was already over visiting with the relatives on Yorke Peninsular so Ttrogg picked up S.A. Sewer Rats and came and met me at Port Vincent. [^] We set out from there with quite a few walks as we toured around clearing up the game board. quick find.
Recieved a message from Allister W. He was going to go down and meet the co to do " El Castillo del Rey del Mar ", he asked if myself and Mogni wanted to meet him down there on Sunday. Since the 4x4 was still mostly packed from the last trip over to Victoria the answer was yes. We left after work Saturday and drove slowly down targetting large caches, solved puzzles and solving multi's on route and the odd traditional was found. We only got to Pine Point ( damn that place is windy ) before putting up the tent. Sunday the wind mostly had blew itself out and it was caching our way to El Castillo del Rey del Mar and there we meet a group and we all watched Allister W get wet and grab the cache on the 4th dive underwater. Then it was time to return slowly home and via as many caches as possible.

22-Jan-23
On a short overnight trip with sir_spectre grabbing a few caches but we were mainly targetting puzzles, mulites and large caches.
Our special cache was El Castillo del Rey del Mar, which was bravely retrieved by Allister W.
Thanks to Ciril from mogni Smile

Many thanks for the hide Ciril

A short stop here today, managed to find the cache nicely hidden and all is well

With 2.5 days free and nothing to do, what better than to head to the yorke peninsula for a few days. I made a plan of trying to clean up majority of the caches on the peninsula going from cache to cache. Managed to come away with only a few left and 247 finds for the few day trip.

Thanks for the cache

This weekend, I headed to the Yorke Peninsula. The goal was to visit Innes National Park for the Saturday to find a few of the oldie geocaches, but also to enjoy a different vicinity for geocaching. I used Edithburgh to base myself for the weekend's activities. On the drive to/from Edithburgh, I visited Ardrossan, Port Vincent, Wool Bay, and Coobowie, and also visited as far south as Sultana Point and Troubridge Point.

Today, I took the long route home back to Adelaide from Edithburgh, but did multiple detours along the way. I initially headed south to Sultana Point, followed by Troubridge Point; Two areas that I hadn't visited in all of my historical Coobowie Yorke Peninsula trips. I then drove north following the coastal route, stopping off in Coobowie, Wool Bay, and Port Vincent. A highlight was visiting the white clay mine just north of Stansbury, and it was a nice walk along the beach to get to.

I managed to find this cache quickly, and the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Mrs Ciril for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

After a lovely couple of days staying in Wool Bay with Madham02 we were on our way home and wanted to get a few caches on our way. It was decided that we would go as far as Sheaoak Flat then head back to Port Vincent for some fish 'n chips for lunch. You just have to have fish 'n chips when you are at the beach. Cool

This was our first one and was a nice quick drive by. [^]

Thanks for the cache Mrs Ciril. Smile

We are coming to the end of our three weeks staying on the Yorke Peninsula, and we will be sad to say goodbye to such a lovely area. We have moved around a bit spending three nights at each of the spots we’ve chosen, and it’s a great way to really get to see so much of what is on offer here. We’ve picked up heaps of caches but, more importantly, we have come to love this region and intend to return here and continue our explorations. Some great bakeries, coffee shops and pubs are also worth coming back for!
No time for golf today, although what could be nicer than a golf course along the cliff top along the coast. We’ve seen some beauties in our time.
A nice straightforward find.

Found on our trip down the Old Coast Road, Ol spotted it from afar. The bag has seen better days, but still doing its job. TFTC

07-Mar-18
We continued from the trail turn around out towards the golf course as we had noticed there was a cache further along the road.

Accurate co-ordinates led to a quick find. We were surprised at the number of mosquitoes that descended on us as we signed the log. As we replaced the container we noticed that our shoes were covered in middle sized ants. We were glad we were wearing our walking shoes and not thongs.

Thanks for the cache Mrs Ciril. We noted that the nearby golf course was the only green spot in the area.

**this is a late log** I have recently made a major upgrade to my GSAK license and found this lovely feature that automatically tells me what caches I have marked found in GSAK but never logged on geocaching.com!! Yay, Clyde, you can have my money anytime! The caches I am logging in this batch were ones I did in 2016. I cache with an assortment of cachers and never alone. In 2016 I cached with Moneydork, Ride the GeoWalrus, Locus Cacher, Liz & Bruce and Team Zouk. My log should match up with one of theirs. I enjoy every cache find I have made and do not for one second take for granted the effort going into each one, its just I'm very bad at logging my finds and I'm trying to improve. To improve I have to reduce the quality of my log and just get it over with -- for now. If I can form a good habit again I will return to my once more meaningful logging. Thanks heaps for hiding caches around South Australia that I could find!
