Parked up at Tasman Memorial reserve and did the loop up Dicker Road, down into Aporo View and along Pomona Road then back on the Great Taste trail back to Tasman Memorial Reserve.
Yes they are flash gates. A quick find and sign. Thanks for the cache.

A bit of an adventure getting to this cache, but I made it in one piece without landing on my arse or flying over the handlebars I am much more confident on 2 legs than 2 wheels. RNZ located this one quick
I am completing the 50km a Day Challenge with a team from work & I need to exercise every day of March. Today we decided on a mountain bike ride from Tasman to Mapua along a track adjacent to the new main road. We have looked at this many times driving to Motueka & talked about doing it, today was the day. My reward for the exercise, a pastie from the Ruby Bay Kitchen & a drink at Golden Bear

We decided to continue to this rather that drive to. It was a good little workout getting back up the hill, but all good fun.
Found in the wettest part of the area, and a bit exposed, so put a rock back on it. RITR paper so all good, TFTC B&W.
It was a nice early autumn day, and I am over the hill again. Today RG72 and I decided to go for a bike ride starting at Dicker Rd in Tasman township.
We have often driven down the highway here to Motueka or wherever and commented on the cycle way up on the ridge to our right (when going that way) and thinking we should get out here for a ride. Exercise for RG72; that and caches for me.
That discussion picked up again when a few more caches were published along here recently.
So I packed the two wheeled steed, chucked on RG’s too, and here we are.
All up it was very successful. All caches found in good shape, further notes for each at the above. Thanks all COs

I was able to get to this GZ and make the find. A few others around here will need a bit more consideration for me to figure out how to get to their GZ's. TFTC.
Had a pleasant walk around the Dicker-Williams circuit with my tuesday walking group.
Quick find here thanks
Quick find here thanks
Very flash gate, not sure where to but someone slipped their truck into 4wd and headed on up, wet log so replaced, tftc
Certainly more gate than what I thought would fit in with the neighbourhood. There is one similar not far from where we live (only that one has an electric gate with cameras) and that one does not fit in with our neighbourhood either.
I arrived at this one via the top track, I had planned to get a park and grab not too far from here, but the rain had eased to pretty much nothing, so I decided to walk down the hill to find this one instead. The clay was a bit slippery in places, but I got down and back up without incident.
We might need to come and do the full loop on our bikes one day, just so we can say we have done it.
Thanks for placing the cache and thank you for the smiley

A quick find with Tregearp whilst out and about on ANZAC Day.
All in good order, thanks for another B&W cache.

After a morning in the garden it was time to stretch the legs and get some steps in with SJT_NZ, some caches he'd found already so quick finds for me and others were a new walking track with great views of the autumn colours and Tasman Bay. Thanks b&w for this cache.
What flash gates! quick find and top hard to get off but the log saturated. replaced log. TFTC and the series.
Enjoyed this walk. TFTC. Sorry, but the container was full of water and the log is toast. Attempted to mark a "T.T." on the pulp.
If ever proof were needed that money cannot necessarily buy good taste, then this might just be it.(apologies to any cachers who *do* have a driveway entrance like this).
An ego-stroking monument to someone who, while shopping in the garden clearance aisle at Mitre10 one day, said to his wife: "Darling! They'll look lovely at the end of the driveway".
And so they were purchased and installed atop the sweeping plinths, a bit like [Trafalgar Square's Fourth Plinth in London](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fourth_plinth,_Trafalgar_Square "Trafalgar Square's Fourth Plinth in London"), to be admired by the owner, their neighbours, some nearby sheep, and the occasional geocacher.

Speechless - Who would expect to see these in the middle of nowhere! Perhaps on Hollywood Blvd or the entrance to a stately home, but they are just there and nothing else. Maybe all will be clear when I reach the top of the track.
Cache full of water but newer log still dry and signed. Thanks for all the caches along here - i plan to add to the trail soon
No doubt it looked flash in its day but the new owners (big sign says 'sold') might be able to blow some new life in it. As long as they don't interfere with the cache of course. Thank you bumandworker
Back today to finish what we didn't have time for last week. We took the easy option here and drove since we had another couple of short walks planned and limited time to do it. Impressive gate indeed.
Thank you bumandworker.
Thank you bumandworker.
The views are great here this morning. A great track. these are indeed very flash gates ! TFTC.
I liked the stone wall, though it is looking a little worse for wear these days. The two statues were another story, pretty OTT, I think.
Well hidden cache and took two gropes before it was found. Now for the looong walk, via the road, back to the car, though we did stop for a delicious lunch at the Jester House Cafe on the way back . Thanks for the series of caches and the lovely Sunday walk, b&w. TFTC.

#9557. The flash gates have seen better days. Troodles got stuck in and found the cache. Then it was off back to the on the road. We had planned to have lunch in Motueka to mark the end of Troodles's streak, but when we got to the main road, and spotted Jesters, we decided that looked like a good lunch option (and it was; the food was great). After a leisurely lunch, the rest of the walk was quickly polished off. TFTC.
Very impressive gateway indeed - not finished, victim of the property crash??
Soon found. SL TFTC

On a geocaching holiday with tmann421 seeking out caches at the top of the South Island. Thanks to all the CO's for making this such a memorable trip.
Another good hide here. There must have been some grand plans for this place once.

Enjoyed this part of the bike ride. A bit more "exciting" terrain. Easy find at GZ although the log book was quite wet, so left a replacement. This cache also proved to be the last of the day.....an urgent matter cropped up which needed my attendance back in the office. Heck.....such a nice day too. I've enjoyed these Dicker Ridge caches. Thanks BW
Not sure if I was on a private or paper road but it lead to the 'gate'
Nice day for a ride
Nice day for a ride
now thats a real gate shame they are not marble though still would have looked great once
Out for a good walk/jog around the Dicker Ridge track to pick up all the caches with rediguana, although he was only after the one. TFTC
Flash indeed. Looks like someone's dream that maybe turned into a nightmare. First to sign the new Logsheet on the last day of the year. TFTC
Called by today for a quick find. Not such a flash gate although they had flash ideas. The area is looking unloved. Even the sign has fallen out of the stone work.
TFTC
Cache log very wet. Unable to sign.

A rush of blood to the head and I was off downhill!
A quick find, but hang on a minute this is number 5, what happened to number 4??

Some dollars were sunk into this for sure. Managed to find a hole hidden in the grass on the way down to here a few seconds after we had been discussing the possibility - all faculties still in tact - just! An enjoyable evening ride with Kiwi Grandad, thanks.
Came here after heading back to base for lunch and refreshing myself before heading out for some more. This one was first on the cards and an easy find. Cheers Gav [10307]

A nice flash gate indeed, Mr Geckoh jogged to the cache, as he is prone to do and it being such a nice day. Lovely quiet area, thanks for the cache placement. TFTC

Thanks for telling us about this ride, this time I actually had the geocaches loaded and so found them no problem
We could see it from the ridge, seemed like it would be a quick run down the hill, but the thought of the climb back up....we decided to drive around. Really flash aren't they? TFTC

Hmmm. Flash indeed. 3 of us looked first in the exact spot we thought the hint was referring to. Then we looked all over the show. Then we restarted our search. Would have been so much quicker had we looked properly the first time!!! TFTC.
As it says in the cache attributes, it's a PARK and grab I wonder if this is made well enough to still be here in 400 years, like the ones overseas. Somehow I doubt it. Couldn't quite figure why they left the top the way they did. Looks unfinished to me. Needs something to cap it, surely? Anyway, that's the NZ Fence Idol judging over with - thanks for showing it to us and filling up July. 30 to go.
We wondered how long it took for the CO to come up with the name. And how long it to build the fence and gate. We preferred not to think for too long about how much it might have cost. But it has provided a lot of smileys for local cachers so it is all good. Thanks.
You aren't kidding! I was very tempted to see what other wonders it lead to and started in that direction until I thought the better of it. TFTC #2319
Niuce One!!!!!!!!Cache name is somewhat of an understatement. The house must be something else. GPS was of a "huge" value on this one. No spoilers, but #5 was #5 or #5 could have been #1, but # 1 was #4. Great series. Thanks
had no problem finding this cache
thank you for bringing us to this track, it was a very enjoyable day and we enjoyed doing the mini series. thank you

Our loop ride came undone trying to get to this cache. After the Prefect cache the way to go is a bit vague and I'm afraid we probably strayed onto private property and found ourselves on the wrong road. Rejoined the main scenic route and headed back to the car - stopping for some refreshments at the Tasman Store along the way. Then we headed back by car to GZ for this cache. No problems that way. TFTC, Biggles.
Found which road we needed to follow and did this as the recommended drive by if we didnt have time to do the whole walk Thanks for bringing us up a road we havent been up before and to a very artistic gate in the middle of no where lol - can only hope the owner gets enjoyment driving through them each day signed log - off home for coffee now - have thoroughly enjoyed the mini series thank you
Damm!! The last in this series on an enjoyable walkway that we didn't know about. Got to just love caching and finding all these areas and things we never knew about. A really great Gate just would hate to have to pave this driveway. Thanks for the series of caches
Last one of these caches up here. Found with a friend. Thanks heaps for showing me this track. Would never have known it was up here. Had a lot of fun doing them =)
It was great to do a few caches with dazzaboi this morning. It is a great little track for a morning stroll with the moon going down in the west and the sun rising in the east and wind keeping us cool. This hunt was great and dazza grab this one.I placed a tb off and replaced this back safe in its home.On the way back up the hill one on the land owners was coming down on his way to work.We stopped for a short chat because i knew him and off we went.TFTC
I came home from work and did the loop what a great ride but be warned its a bit step comming down to the gate in the failing light, things you do for a FTF TFTC
