Down in Christchurch for a week and friends have come down for the weekend to collect the Smurfs series. We had just completed it and were about to head back to Christchurch when we detoured to pick up just a few more! This was one of the extras - a great spot here - scores a favourite from me, TFTC
Down in Christchurch for the weekend from the waikato with friends to do some geocaching. Great day with fantastic views of the alps. Found the cache quickly although had to watch for muggles.
It's amazing how a 2 hour drive can take 6 hours when caching and stopping for lunch. Missed the parking area on the first go so did a safe u turn and then managed to drive quite close. Cache soon located, thanks
On our South Island adventure from Perth WA. A nice easy find with Spuddycakes in tow. TFTC
It's so nice not to worry about snakes and spiders in NZ but low bridges are another thing hubby didn't duck low enough and bangs his head - i shouldn't laugh really, but i did and loudly

Our third day led us from C. to T. and brought again many new impressions and some caches. Today it was dry here. TFTC!
Quick stop heading home after a weekend in Christchurch. Such a hot day I could have gone for a swim! TFTC
thanks for the placement, we have been loved travelling and visiting the roads of Christchurch and the many caches each CO has taken the time to place, thank you for taking the time to place and maintain them.
I was out with a friend earlier today and we pulled over here for a walk. Nice little spot, not many people around. Cache is in excellent order! Thank you!
A screech of brakes a jump out of the car a run over uneven ground a bump on the head a cache in hand ... cheers
The river was very dry paddle chick and I spent quite a while looking for the cache finally found it signed and on to the next cache .Tftc ridders76
#3548. I had a work trip to Canterbury on the Thursday and Friday but decided to stay over on the weekend to fit in a couple of big caching days. I am working on the DGSC challenge and need some 50+ days for the bulk find elective. So Saturday and Sunday were earmarked for getting some big totals. Fortunately the weather was fine and sunny on both days. Managed to locate about 130 caches over the weekend and about 150 over 4 days. Decided to divert from hunting out mystery finals to locate this one. Hadn't realised I had reached the main highway. Stopped over the bridge and ran back to find this one. Took just a couple of minutes. Signed and off to the car again. Thanks for placing it here.
StreetWalker and I had a Trademe purchase to pick up in Rolleston, so turned that task into a caching opportunity .
We had planned to stop for this cache when returning to Chch after completing the Thompson Track series earlier in the year, but a lack of research meant that we didn't realise it was best tackled while travelling south.
This time, we were more prepared, but don't take the side road at speed as there are some nasty potholes at the start. Despite the cache being a lot smaller than expected, it was a quick find. Thanks for the background info on this river and TFTC.

#13921. Despite drizzle yesterday, we managed to complete this cache and to remain dry. Cache is now an Eclipse tin, and despite being small its hiding place was easily spotted. TFTC.
Easy find. Didnt want to look around in case I saw spideys. What I cant see cant hurt me. TFTC
Hitting the north rakaia area this afternoon to tidy up a few caches. Need this for the 172° challenge quick find last off the day time to head home tftc
[green] Find #802 [/green]
Eighteenth find of the day!
We were out today going around the South Island, doing some sightseeing and caching along the way. This was the eighteenth cache we found.
After finding a good park, and stopping, we headed to GZ.
We looked high, low, not here, not in there, before.... Found it!
We stealthily retrieved the cache, signed the log book and replaced as we found, wandering back to the car with a smile.
Took: Nothing
Left: Nothing
Signed the log.
Cache and contents are in good nick and coordinates were spot on.
TFTC!

Another quick park and grab on our way to Christchurch on a mission to collect 50 caches along the way for a challenge we are working on. Was s bit surprised when I arrived at GZ and spotted some feet. Another cacher was trying to sign the log but his pen had run out, gernita to the rescue! TFTC
Holidays in New Zealand! We have been looking forward to them for years. We had lots of time to prepare ourselves for a great trip. As geocachers, we also picked out a number of great caches. Armed with a "to-do list" and accidental encounters we were lucky to log many caches. Thank you for placing them and keeping the game go on!
Day 27/28: Lake Tekapo - Christchurch
Lots of driving today, we stopped a few times to sign some caches, thanks!

Mega trip to NZ with vipema, Veke68 and Katsukka, logged as TVVKFIN. Today our target was Dunedin, lots of kilometers and lots of fun! Thanks for the cache.
Long time dream came true and we could visit New Zealand. NZ Mega was our maingoal and we had time to find others too. We travelled together with Veke68, Katsukka and tanjuli (+husband) and had great time. We used TVVK Fin (that is tanjuli, vipema, Veke68 and Katsukka) in mostly logbooks to save space.
Thanks for the cache.
Greetings from Finland.

Day #6 geocaching in NZ in good company (=tanjuli + husband, vipema, Veke68 & Katsukka = TVVK-FIN in the logbooks, most of the time), today we headed to Dunedin and back to Christchurch again. Had a great time, enjoyed the mostly sunny day and found a lot of caches + saw so many interesting/beautiful places.
Thank you!!!!
Thank you!!!!
Caching holiday in New Zealand with Tanjuli, Vipema and Katsukka continues and today nice trip from Christchurch to Dunedin and back. Lot of kilometers but many nice caches and of course couple of very old caches too.
We logged mostly only TVVK-FIN to save space in the logbook.
Thanks!!

Here at the mega with rowenad and flipnz. Having a great weekend with lots and lots of walking.
We stopped on our way south and found the cache before crossing the river. We then drove over the bridge and can confirm that the river was in dry mode today. Thanks for the cache and the interesting cache page information.
On way to The mega in Christchurch this weekend and I have 2 goals for the weekend and this cache is part of one of those goals and that is to get 200 in a 24 hour period. So wish me luck and thank you for your little part in my big plans. TFTC ☺
Great spot for a cache. Good location and good to have a break and give the legs a stretch. Tftc
Great cache. I too always look for water in this river. I remember a couple of years ago dangling my feet in the water on the south side with my daughter and it being quite lovely. Must have been a spring flood in the hills.
Found it though I did wonder if people overhead thought I had stopped for a toilet break
... another quick easy find, a few small muggles on motorbikes under parental supervision... tftc.
A nice hide, gets a favourate point from us. Easily found. Thanks for making us stop
Was down in this part of the country for the day so decided to grab a few caches before I headed home. Cache was a quick find. Thanks for the hide.
Only one other vehicle here when we pulled in on our way back to ChCh and the owners nowhere to be seen so it was a nice quick hunt and sign. TFTC
TFTC - Me and my 8yr boy were up and under the bridge when a truck went over - scared us both lol it was so loud.

Found the container of yucky looking food where I thought the cache should be - what?! Looked a bit further and were rewarded with a smiley. Found with Aoraki Sheep.
Thought we had made a quick find but not so, who would put that there? Eventually refocused and log was duly signed. Found with debsnz
Took Mr 7 yr old to his rugby game in Dunsandal then a cache stop on the way back home. 7 yr old and I pondered over why there was a large container of sloppy food hidden in this area.
Heading back to Christchurch airport to fly home and adding a few caches to our list in the way. There was. LARGE truck crossing the bridge by itself it was THAT big. Gave me thought for concern as was replacing cache at sametine. But am.happy to report that i am still here filling in log. Nice easy find. TFTC.
On our final journey up to Christchurch. Picking up a few caches on the way. TFTC.
The only thing is its not a very nice place under here.
