I cannot see any information that suggests to me that steps have been taken to resolve the issue/s associated with this placement - one or more of the following applies:

- Cache Owner unable to maintain cache
- No response from the cache owner.
- No cache to find or log to sign.
- It has been more than 28 days since the last owner note.
- Cache has been abandoned by cache owner/cache in disrepair

As a result I am archiving this cache to keep from continually showing up in search lists and to also prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the next 28 days, just contact a reviewer (by email and include GC number in cache name) and, assuming it still meets the current guidelines, the reviewer will be happy to unarchive it.

If there are components or remnants of the cache and you haven't already done so, please return to the GZ and collect the cache (or remnants). We don't want to litter our environment with Geotrash.

Should you wish to replace the cache after 28 days has passed please create a new cache listing so it can be reviewed as a new cache.

[navy]This cache would appear to be in need of owner intervention, therefore I am temporarily disabling it so as to stop it showing up on search lists and to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary.

Geocache maintenance is a cache owner responsibility. Your prompt attention to any log that indicates things could be amiss will be greatly appreciated by all geocachers, see here http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#cachemaintenance

Staying a few days in Ballarat on our tour of Australia using Geocaching as a guide.

Isn't this game SO FABULOUS! It takes us to places of interest in so many towns. We have met many people over our few years who we are proud to call friends just through this crazy game! Cool

A common interest to show off your home town and the many places you would like people to visit. So today we did just that.

Certainly Ballarat should be so proud of Ballarat Geocachers you have a common goal to show off your fabulous region, and have FUN with Geocaching. Just what Geocaching is worldwide 2.6+million people can't be wrong! So keep at it full steam ahead guys!

We managed to visit your cache today.

Doing just a few random caches (well, one or two not so random ones too) during our short visit to Ballarat. Hey, there's far too many for one visit. This was one of the random ones, but let that not detract from the enjoyment we got with the "woah" moment in keeping with the theme. As for an insect joke to offer, sorry, we're pretty much e-scint of them!

[red]Find #2249 Traditional #1865 [/red] Big Grin

This one didn't take me long to find. The surrounds were quite damp but all in order. I was able to park quite close and after a short walk I had what I was after. Stamped and returned as found.

What a great day out. I left home at 5:09am only to finish at 6:37pm with a total of 51 finds for the day. Enjoyed some great company with two events in the Ballarat area and picked up some great D/T ratings along with enough mystery puzzles for a challenge cache. Thanks to others for the company

As I cruised around the back blocks of Ballarat today I let a few insects live another day. A couple of flies in the car were taken off death row as I opened up the Triton's windows.

Lucky little blighters.

Unfortunately, my sense of humour has had no such luck. Consider it well and truly executed with this joke.

A man in a movie theater notices what looks like a grasshopper sitting next to him.
"Are you a grasshopper?" asked the man, surprised.
"Yes."
"What are you doing at the movies?"
The grasshopper replied, "Well, I liked the book."

Oh dear.

At least Kevin was in good nick when I signed his log. Glad to see something is still going strong.

Find 1930
07/03/2015 1:59:00 PM

Early this morning I headed to Ballarat with Stemicmitsar for the purpose of finding some challenge caches we had both qualified for as well as a desirable D/T rating and some sundry caches.
Seeing as we were in the neighbourhood, we thought we would be remiss if we didn't call in and say hello to 'Kevin'. 'Kevin' was most accommodating and let his address be known to us quickly. With the visitors book signed, we bade farewell to 'Kevin' and continued on our way. Big Grin

Thank-you to PoleCat S for placing this geocache

7/03/2015 Found @ 1:59 pm, Find # 4166.

Today biggles1024 and I headed out to Ballarat for a day of caching with a number of caches with significant value on the hit list.
By now we had nearly finished the challenge caches but Kevin appeared just before we had finished, so we had to go and say hello to Kevin, he wasn't a tricky fellow so he was found with ease, the log was signed and we left Kevin to do what he does.

Thanks to PoleCat S for placing this cache.

This guy was lonely and he decided life would be more fun if he had a pet. So he went to the pet store and told the owner that he wanted to buy an unusual pet.

After some discussion, he finally bought a centipede (100-legged crawler), which came in a little white box to use for his house. He took the box back home, found a good location for the box, and decided he would start off by taking his new pet to the bar to have a drink.

So he asked the centipede in the box, "Would you like to go to Frank's with me and have a beer?" But there was no answer from his new pet. This bothered him a bit, but he waited a few minutes and then asked him again, “How about going to the bar and having a drink with me?” But again, there was no answer from his new friend and pet.

So he waited a few minutes more, thinking about the situation. He decided to ask him one more time; this time putting his face up against the centipede's house and shouting, “Hey, in there! Would you like to go to Frank's place and have a drink with me?”

A little voice came out of the box:...........

"I heard you the first time! I'm just putting my ******* shoes on." Wink

A quick find here today out on the outskirts of Ballarat. I liked the container, it brought a smile to my face when I uncovered it.

Here is a grasshopper joke that you will hopefully enjoy.

A man and his pet grasshopper walk into a bar. It's about 5pm, but they're ready for a good night of drinking.
They start off slowly, watching TV, drinking beer, eating peanuts. As the night goes on they move to mixed drinks, and then shooters, one after the other.
Finally, the bartender says: "Last call."
So, the man says, "One more for me... and one more for my grasshopper."
The bartender sets them up and they shoot them back. Suddenly, the grasshopper falls over dead.
The man throws some money on the bar, puts on his coat and starts to leave.
The bartender, yells: "Hey buddy, you can't just leave that lyin' there."
To which the man replies: "That's not a lion, that's a grasshopper."

Thanks to PoleCat S for the cache.
