So glad we are still able to do walks like this. So lucky. It's windy but not wet. Lots of spring flowers. We made it up in 50 minutes. Tftc. A fav
We always love a good hike when there is a cache at the end to celebrate. Thanks for setting this one and helping us keep fit and get to see some great views. Tftc
What an incredible view! Live the places this game takes me. I will remember this one forever. Heres a fav point.
Many thanks mackerals for placing this hide for me to find and adding to my adventures. This will be my 6716 find.

Really enjoy event weekends and was great to be up in Jurien bay seeing some like minded people.

Another year rolls round and another International Geocaching Day Event. This time heading north to Jurien Bay.
Took a fair few detours to get to town departing Perth at sparrows.
Had a great day out - finding over 40 caches and meeting a couple of teams on the road.
Finished with the sundowner event in town and a couple of coldies.
Thanks to the community and the local COs for a great day out.
FP here - great views

Hitting the road for IGD2023 in Jurien Bay. Looking forward to a great weekend! I’ve only been to Jurien Bay once in my life, and that was for a lunch stop on the way to Geraldton, so it will be good to spend some time in town. Naturally the drive up and back were caching missions in their own right, with the objective to clean up the new placements. Plenty of new and old caches in town too, that I am yet to have touched up in my last trip. This cache was one of this weekend’s many stops. Cheers mackerals!
Today we walked in Lesueur NP and climbed up Mt Lesueur. What a beautiful day it was, perfect views from all directions. Different vegetations to observe and admire. Not a soul in sight the whole trip or walk. Lovely spot for lunch too. TFTC
Find 2 of 14 with 1 DNF. Mr O wanted to walk the Yonga Trail before it got too hot and this was the only weekend we could come and overnight in Jurien Bay for an early start. Mrs O's knees didn't fancy the full loop and opted to make Mr Lesueur her far point.
I think Mr O left this one on the way up for Mrs O on the way down as a way to slow any progress she would have while he got cracking on the Yonga. Took a fair while to locate. I suspect the vegetation is very different to when it was placed but I won't grass up the location.

After visiting the Pinnacles we went for a walk to see all the wild flowers in this park and grab this cache. Nice day for it but quite windy here on the top.
Today I did this nice trail with igor.amadeus. The cache was easy to find! A bit windy today, so there were no eagles…..
A quick find after the winding walk to the top. No eagles today, but the views were worth the effort, with the cache as a bonus. Former muggles mildandcob and Lexiloooo motivated me to keep on going. Thanks for the cache Mackerals
Easy to find but hard to get to. I love this amazing view even though it was very windy up at mount lesueur. TFTC! Lovely spot for a cache.

After completing the cycle track caches geo-hubby and Mr ILT set off the grab the caches in Mt Lesueur NP. Hard trek to get there but easier descending. Happy to have recorded our visit. Thanks Mackerals
Quite a slog to the top, were we were greeted with some wonderful views.
Thanks for the cache The Mackerals.

On our walk to the top of the Mt. Lesueur I found this second cache. Very windy at the end, but great view. On the half way the saw 2 kangaroos, so I left the TB there.
We have 2 months for holiday in Australia. My aim is to find every day a Cache. This is our 26th day and my 28th logged Cache.

Today we would take our time to do the Mount Lesueur Walk. We liked the flora, but were not really impressed by the views. It was a good practice for our legs and it was nice to be able to find both Geocaches.
This one was easy to find.
TFTC!

Thank you so much for taking me there. I really enjoyed the walk, the views. The flowers start blooming. Lovely. Cache was easily found. TFTC
On our way home from the Murchison so we cached out another area, we absolutely loved this cache and the view that we were rewarded with, absolutely breathtaking, a favourite here TFTC
Visiting this lovely flat mountain and enjoying the gorgeous view at sunset time...
Thanks a lot for this cache and best regards from Switzerland!

Staying in Leeman with the Crumps on a 3 day fishing trip. Unfortunately the weather keeped us on land today so we filled in the time getting a few caches. Great walk, great views, just a bit windy. Saw four Wedgetail eagles sawing above, fantastic walk up the hill and we really enjoyed the area. TFTC

Second day in Jurien Bay, early in the morning we took a swim in Jurien bay. After the swim we drove to Green Head and the surroundings. We walked the glacier like dunes, and the great views on the coastline. In the late afternoon we also drove trough the NP of Lesueur! We ended at the cemetary of Jurien Bay, of course not for getting buried, but for logging my first multicache in Australia! It was another great day again! Tomorow we'll drive to Kallbari! Fasten your seatbelts!
First we didn't want to walk the whole trail up but the scenery was so beautiful we couldn't resist... The "doctor" protected us from being overheated! There were a lot of annoying flies but we enjoyed the walk a lot! FP added!

Got up early on a Sunday to get these 2 Mt Lesueur caches finished Wasn’t disappointed with the view, as it is amazing , came with themongrel and junior yeatesy89 TFTC
Hi Mackerals, we found the cache on top of Mt Lesueur on the 5/7/17 after the hike up. Funny thing is we where just on a family holiday and after getting to the top and appreciating the stunning views one of the kids saw a little container and asked what it was. So we looked inside and found a note explaining what it was. Well thanks for starting us off on the Geocaching adventure. We signed the log and it's in great condition. Placed it back for the next lucky person. TFTC
Thank you! I headed up to Cervantes for the weekend, for some sightseeing and a cache or two.
Today was for national parks and caches, and I was looking forward to Lesueur National Park. I picked a lovely time of year to visit, with wildflowers in bloom everywhere. After trudging through the sand, I reached the rocky switchback section and gained height quite quickly. On reaching the plateau, I felt like I had entered a hedge maze, and followed the rocky path through the tall plants. On arriving at the end of the trail, I took in the view, before looking for the cache. This was definitely a highlight of the road trip.

Hi there mackerals.
We found your cache **"Mt Lesueur Trail"** at 11:59:00 AM today, so this makes our find count 14535.
We are camping in Jurian Bay for a few days, on our way south from Geraldton to Perth.
Today the plan was to visit Lesueur National Park to photograph the huge variety of wildflowers, and of course to find the geocaches here.. - It was a very interesting day, the scenery was wonderful and our final tally was 3 finds and 0 DNF's.
The view from here is quite fantastic - well worth the effort. - Only one eagle spotted today though.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache around 2m from where our GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

I headed back to the coast this morning from Coorow.
There was a definite lack of caches left to chase in that area
And a trio of caches in the Lesueur NP had me attention.
I found the start of the one way road and headed in
($12 entry fee, unless like me, you have an annual All Parks Pass)
The parking area at the start of the walking trails was found and with no one around,
I set off to enjoy a stroll to a summit !!
Lovely weather today as well, after yesterday's winter blast had cleared
Mine were the first footprints in the sandy tracks after the rains.
I took the long way round to find the track junction and head for the summit of Mt Lesueur.
Easy strolling with great views all the way to the top
No wedge tails seen today [:o]
Maybe they had all been blown inland yesterday [:o)]
Up top a trig point !!
And fabulous 360 degree views [^]
This is one superb short stroll.
TFTC and bringing me out to one of the less visited, but nicest parks in this area [^]

We walked up there during noon, covered and sweating all over. Nice view alone from the top.
Came out to the National Park this morning. Great place for some caching. I took the eldest geokid up here and it was hard work. The view was definitely worth the effort. Tftc.
Pleasant walk through wildflower country with a zigzag stony path to the top. Wonderful 180 degree view

A beautiful Nationalpark, if it wasn't for all the flys. T4TC and greetings from Switzerland.
Great day for climbing to the top. Not to hot nor cold. Took a little while to find as the cache was quite well tucked away. Was almost beaten by our 10 minute rule. Persistence paid off in the end. Thanks mackerals for another hide.
We took a punt this morning and left for the Lesueur National Park despite the rain showers and possibility of getting wet. Glad we did , it has been a great day for walking. Not too hot, overcast and a nice breeze blowing.
The walk to the top of the mountain was a slow one as there were copious wildflowers to be admired and photographed. Mrs SKI took lots of pictures.
The wildflowers changed as the countryside changed and we went upwards. There was a great display on top.
We admired the flowers, admired the views, found the cache and then returned via the lookout then loop for a satisfying cuppa to end it all.

Woo hooo what a view!!! Nearly killed me hiking up there but was well worth it. Nice easy find. Make sure you bring some water, it gets hot walking through the bush.
Only one hovering above to the north. Lots of birds in the park though, and wild flowers in abundance. Lots of contrasts. Thanks for taking us there.
Nice walk up for a good view. Easy find. Before we got out the GPS the cache was already at hand.
Found with Sweetestbabyface.
OMG!!! This view is amazing.
Thank you so much for this cache. We would never have come here otherwise.

Great hike even though we were bombarded by flies. I am sure I ate a couple. Awesome view. Saw one eagle.
Found on a hike across the ridges from the trail carpark. VERY, very windy today though. Saw a couple of wedgetail eagles and two HUGE roos. Cache is in good condition. TFTC!!
We were very proud of ourselves having made it up to the GZ, lingering along the way to enjoy the wonderful display of wildflowers (enamel orchids - yay!). We tried to find the cache as quickly as we could as there were an astonishing number of hungry mosquitoes and friendly flies at the top! Great views, TFTC
Very beautiful and interesting hike with all the wild flowers in full bloom. We chose just the right time to come to Australia (seeing the wildflowers again was the reason for that time of the year but sometimes it doesn't work because of the weather).
At the end of the trail we were rewarded with great views and a plastic box

Found by Mama M without the geo-device. TFTC. Beautiful walk amongst the flowers. Very special place.
After finding the one near the carpark I hesitated about doing this one as I had a wonkey knee and was by myself, also the park appeared to be deserted. Anyhow you can't stand still so off I went. Great walk and views, no eagles and no problems. SL TNLN Thanks for bringing me here mackerals.
It was every bit a terrain three. We were pretty stuffed by the time we got to the top and we still had nearly 400mtrs to go...but WOW what a spectacular view, it was well worth the trek. On the way we spotted a couple of wedge tail eagles soaring high on the updrafts. Looking at Mt Lesueur from afar we never thought we would do it...but we did, Yay for us! To make the trek even better we got the FTF!! SL Took FTF Card LN Thanks Mackerals for an excellent day! Well worth a favourite.
