Latest of several attempts. Spotted the QR, and a disabled parking permit, but no cache.
It was almost dark. A few muggles walking about and taking photos of birds and a neighbor chatting outside their house to the occupant of the car parked just behind mine. With GPS in hand, the cache should be only 30 metres away.
Then the aforementioned car occupant called out, "The cache isn't there!" So I walked to the house porch to ask more. The car occupant was dressed in the local security company gear and explained that the cache had been removed because the people living in the locality had become annoyed at people foraging around their park, shining torches in the dark and disturbing them.
Occupants of house said, "Not in this neighborhood, put it somewhere else!
Seems the area has also had problems with cannabis growers and other related nefarious activities which helps to make them jumpy when geocachers visit. Commented that the police had been kept up to date with the locals monitoring of suspect visitors.
I thanked them for keeping me informed and left without searching further!

I have decided to archive this cache against my judgment as the last post stated the locals don't want caches in there park... I get really annoyed with people in general when they talk about there park or there road when in fact these places are for everyone to enjoy as they are public places.
Thanks for Mapper Ted's long post as it has made me the cache owner decide to just archive this rather than being what I would usually be and just keep putting it there.....
It is apparent to me the local so called security guard is one of the persons that has sealed this caches archive.
Foot note to the other cacher that emailed me.... Rather than ask for this to be moved completely and not even log a DNF it would be better to work with us rather than not.... It is apparent that you are either the guard or a new cacher.. If the later then a log such as Mapper Teds would help.
Cheers

One effective way to keep out casual visitors , in this case the cache "guardian" , is to simply make it a members only cache thereby forcing the unwanted to sign up, not a lot of people want to spend $50.00 or so to just monitor who is watching the site.
A number of caches I have actually have neighbors or council workers look after the site or direct people to it.

Dark by the time we reached Karaka Lakes, but soon spotted the cache in the torchlight. Thanks.

Not too hard to find, surprised at the recent DNF's. A nicely developed area but a bit beyond my budget to live here, $370K for a 600m2 bit of dirt? Crikey!

Our 1st try at Geocaching and not sure if we are doing this wrong but couldn't find it :/
A lovely area to live but I reckon the blocks are two small. Took a little time to find, but eventually laid my hands on it.
Another visit to this location having found the previous cache in this locality, so knowing the area I was expecting a quick find. I soon spotted the obvious cache location, however looking both left and right, up and down, I was unable to spot the cache container.
Nice spot, and quickly found what appeared to be GZ, but couldn't find the cache. Had a good look to the left and right, but nothing was jumping out at me
Taking mum out for a drive. She's relatively local and didn't know this area was being developed. A bit of a search required for the find. T4TC - M@
A nice easy find in a lovely location thanks. Forgot to bring pen/pencil though, so couldn't sign log book. TFTC
Hadnt noticed the latest logs before looking for this one. Poked around GZ and went a little ways along each side but nothing found. Nice area, nice lake. Will be back to get this cache another day.
It's annoying when people move your hide.....
Thanks to Marmis for emailing me and today we found the cache around 3 ft from original coords
Will update these soon but the cache is there further to the right of the published coordinates.
If you find the cache leave it where you find it!

Had a look for the cache after been asked about this hide.
Seems it has gone (
Wondering if it was the security guard that others had come across when this was first hidden.
Will have another look tomorrow as was only quick today although it isn't that hard in finding this one.
If I replace I will with a nano sorry!
Give me by this weekend to sort it.
Sorry for any inconvenience

7117 A nice spot deserving of a cache… use to own one on the other side of the lake. It’s nice to be back, many thanks Kiwifamily for resurrecting a cache in the area.
I need to say that it was well hidden by the former cacher...it needed more than a simple look. Thanks for the cache

I remember coming here in the middle of the night for a FTF attempt (but failed) and had security patrolling the area, no such patrols in the late morning, although a nice area, we did not wish to purchase the nearby empty pocked handkerchief for a mere $370,000....... Chump change eh....

Super quick find on a freezing cold afternoon. Love the area and enjoyed a nice walk around the 'lakes' before returning to the car. The log was a wee bit damp after the recent rains. TFTC.
Almost a quick drive-by in the rain!! Except I had to walk a few metres. Dog loved the area and had a good time with a couple of locals who showed her around all the best doggie spots. Thanks.
Not the quickest of finds with 10centcoin, but mostly because a security guard took an interest in us almost immediately after we arrived. We explained what we were doing, just so he didn't think it was all too suspicious, but apparently he has come across geocaching before at Sylvia Park, and it didn't end well. Anyway, I spotted the cache, but acted like we couldn't find it so we "gave up" and went back to our cars. Took a few minutes until he was out of sight, and then went back for a super quick sign and rehide. Nearly 4 hours behind the FTF, but first to log. TFTC!!!
Easy find late this evening once the security guard had moved round the corner ...a little disappointing the other cachers had not logged their finds from earlier in the day TFTC
Might not be first to log but did get a FTF on this one. Just happened to be on the way home from a cache dash to Whitford when I got a text from home. Swung off the Motorway and entered the co ords. Gotcha.
Sorry 10cc that I took a while to log but I dont have a smart phone to instantly log, just the old cell phone system for this old fella.
FTF number 15 for us learners.

Second to find not long after thejaybees by the looks. Got the notification while at work and raced home hoping for a first to find but not this time. Got there just as it got dark and no security in sight. Was an easy find once i understood the hint and knew i was in the right place. TNLNSL - TFTC! Sorry for the late log - ive only just got home from work with a spare moment to log!
