So this was really special. Stumbled across a decoy, thought it was his head until oh, theres the real deal. TFTC Tk2, FP for this!
Today Im day tripping with LB, doing some caching, a bit of maintenance and planning on attending an event later tonight on the coast. It seems like we are driving around in circles, which we most probably are as we chase the caches. This is a very cool cache that seems to just appear out of nowhere. A well deserved earned here.TFTC Tk2Keep smiling
Last night fitzy_1965 and I stayed at the Wilmington Hotel. Old facilities but new air con was a winner! And honest locals as we realised in the morning that we had left the car keys on the dashboard last night! Our plan today was to collect oldies & counties and whatever inbetween whilst making our way back to my cousin's house for a family dinner. All caches found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned. This was one of them. With so many fav points, when had to see for ourselves. Ok, that is cool! Fav point frome me too.
34,315. Found with minniek during our trip to The Great Leap Forward Mega Event in Adelaide on 29th February 2024.Day 4 : After staying overnight at the Wilmington Pub, we headed out hunting for more Counties, oldies and other interesting caches. We do enjoy meandering around the countryside doing this. Hopefully we will cross off a bunch more South Australian Counties today. Lots of great caches to choose from as well. This was the next cache - and it was a quick find once at GZ. Stamped the log, replaced the cache as found, then we continued on to the next one. Thanks Tk2 !! Fav Point !
Even though I kind of knew what to expect I still jumped. Had to get a selfie with this infamous ranger. TftC Left a TB here because it is such a photo opportunity!
We have travelled over to Kadina to an extended Australia Day long weekend. Today is our last day, but before pulling up stumps and heading home, we headed out to clear a few more off the map. Oh Crikey! Hunting through the bushes and then jumped 3 feet when I spotted this out the corner of my eye!! LOL...a Fav from us!TFTC
Today I headed to the YP for caching. Today I on the main part hated my hobby. It’s weird as I have been doing this hobby for almost 10 years and generally it makes me feel good to be alive. Sadly not today.
My phone was a pain in the ass not sure why but almost every find had me around 10m away from where the actual cache was. I was stuffed with the caches with no hints of which there were many.
I over heated, the flies were insane, so many caches were in or behind prickle bushes or trees with low branches, covered in scratches. I have an inordinate amount of dnfs. My list of whinging goes on and on.
I am grateful really to all the people who made the effort to hide and maintain a cache for me to find. I do appreciate it even if I don’t sound too grateful.
Anyway I got 52 for the day so have to be ‘happy’ with that!
Brilliant this one has really stood the test of time I’ve i actually found GZ that is. TFTC it’s masterful

One of the last on my list for today. It is getting quite cold now and This cache was a perfect one for waking me up. Such is life.
Absolutely incredible. Thanks for going to an amazing effort in creating your caches. Love it. TFTC
What a terrific hide... you went to a lot of trouble constructing this TK2 .... Cheers and tftc
A short stop here today, managed to find the cache nicely hidden and all is well
With 2.5 days free and nothing to do, what better than to head to the yorke peninsula for a few days. I made a plan of trying to clean up majority of the caches on the peninsula going from cache to cache. Managed to come away with only a few left and 247 finds for the few day trip.
Thanks for the cache

Found during a caching foray that included Cunliffe, Kadina, Wallaroo and a circuit out towards Bute while staying at Moonta Bay for a few days. Managed to stumble upon the cache in complete surprise. Wasn't expecting that! Thanks for the cache Tk2!
Today I felt like going out for some New Years Day caching. Specifically the roads between Kadina and Bute.
I really love creative caches such as this one.
Gave me a fright when I first spotted Ned as I wasn't expecting it.
I love the eyes, a favourite point for this one.

After a short walk through the scrub, accurate coordinates led to an excellent cache. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Tk2 for an excellent cache - it earns a favourite from us.
On a warm days riding with Desertfox41 and 2 younger riders/ helpers , had a long day, did 240 odd ks . TNLNSL Thanks
A day trip was planned with Trigger_Fish, AnyMules & Davidwazza to visit the Sad Fisher and some other caches scattered around the top of Yorke Peninsula and the Copper Coast...
It was a full day...getting picked up at 10:00am and arriving back at 11:50pm...
It is not surprising this cache has so many favourite points which I am adding to tonight...
I miscalculated my numbers thinking this was a milestone cache but it turned out it wasn't...I was glad to visit Ned anyway...

Today, the objective was *The Sad Fisher* series on the top of Yorke Peninsula. I first had a few hours to do some solo geocaching, visiting Port Arthur, Clinton and a few other points of interest on the top of Yorke Peninsula's hills. I then caught up with AnyMules, Trigger_Fish, and hevwalker, and we then spent the next 3.5 hr trying to keep motivation whilst power trailling the Sad Fisher. We then headed to Kadina for a late lunch and a few geocache visits, and then on to Wallaroo and nearby North Beach. As it got dark, we headed south-west for some 4WD along some beach tracks, and then back towards Kadina for a fast dinner. Willamulka was our final destination of the day (at least while I was with the group), before I returned back to my car at Kulpara, and made the late night drive home.
This cache had been on my target list due to its high Favourite Point count, and so it did not disappoint. We had planned this cache for hevwalker's 12,000th find, but we soon discovered the following morning that hevwalker was lying to us (or that she had miscalculated her finds - one or the other). This was a great cache, and for that reason, a Favourite Point added from me too. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Tk2 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Great cache. And a good one to help celebrate hevwalker’s 12000th find.

A girl just should not have to look in those parts where a man keeps his most treasured possessions. But she did ... And she shouldn't get all excited about not seeing any creepy crawlies today.. Bit she did! An "oh wow upon seeing the hide and a happy cacher after CIH

Just passing by and wondered if there would be a cache here, so pulled up the map on the phone. Great hide!
Absolutely loved this one that much that I left my path tag here. Thank you for this wonderful cache
Never can tell what's hidden in the bush .
TNLNSL.
An interesting example of recycling - not sure if it would survive a bushfire though [:o)].
Thanks Tk2.

TFTC Oh wowser. What a handsome Ned Kelly. These are so worth the effort & fun to find. Thanks TK2 for making this find so special.
I was travelling from Port Augusta to Ardrossan. With so many caches in between, I decided to leave the choice to the people. Almost all the caches had a reasonable number of favourites, with just a couple of extras in between. Strange things you find along the way. Found the cache once I found Ned.
My thanks to Tk2 for the cache.

Another Caching Wednesday for the Puzzled Puzzlers. Today's group of brisal5, S.A. Sewer Rats and Blackadders were once again heading north in search of that elusive smilie. Three weeks earlier I had missed the trip due to injuring my back and had only done a half day since. [B)] This would be a big test. [8)] After several DNF's three weeks ago the others were keen to return with a new set of eyes. We had a full day of laughs and a couple of sprinkles of rain but managed to right a few DNFs but still added a few more before seeing the sun set in Wallaroo and turning for home. We will be back again next week.
From the title I had guessed what I was looking for but it was still a surprise to actually see it. What a great cache camo. Now to find the jog book which was just about the second place I looked. What a wonderful cache and well deserving of all the Favourite Points. [^] Here's another one.
**Thanks Tk2 for this cache. **

A small menagerie of the puzzled puzzler animals had planned to visit the top end of the Yorke Peninsular to seek more smileys on their individual maps. Unfortunately the Starfish had injured his back the day before which left just the Adder and the Rat to fulfill the quest.
A brilliant fun cache that as others have noted, well deserved of a fav point. It is caches like these that make the hobby fun.
Cleverly done

We broke up laughing when we saw Ned.
A quick find and stamp.
A fav point from the Rats. TFTC

Just had to laugh as soon as Ned was sighted. He gets a favourite point from us for his construction and it seems his clothes have lasted very well. His knowledge is very useful and we enjoyed picking his brain. Thank you to Tk2 for placing this fun hide
TFTC. Found on a beautiful Kernewick weekend. Love this one. Left a sticker.
Another cool cache. A favourite point for sure for the great work on this geocache

This is one of the best caches we've found so far. As soon as you think you are going on a Wild Goose Chase, all the searching is worth while. Lovely to meet Ned and well done to the cachers that made a special home for Ned. Enjoy!!
This is definitely the first hide of this type we have seen. LOL A great bit of original fun, it gets a favourite point from us.Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
LOL You really scared me. I loved your cache. Fav from me.

The long weekend presented the perfect opportunity for my wige (Tounga) and I to plan a quick get away.
So, we booked some accommodation in Moonta and decided to cache the upper Yorke Peninsula.
We had a great time, finding 129 geocaches in all.
Thanks for hinding your cache Tk2, we enjoyed it.
I apologise for the generic log.

Thought it was about time we grabbed a few more caches around Kadina before we move on later this week.
Time was short (maybe because we spent too much time enjoying a delicious pub lunch at one of the local establishments) so today we opted to only look for caches which had a few favourite points.
We found fifteen in all and some of them were absolute beauties, and this one tops the list....we absolutely loved meeting Ned....and he definitely deserves another favourite point.....hmmm....I think we need to find a few more power trails so we can accumulate some more points
Many thanks for the hide Tk2[^][^][^]

Hi there Tk2.
We found your cache **"Ned"** at 8:32:00 AM today.
This was our 7th find for the day and this makes our find count 12985.
Our cache run today was initially to finish off the Pyramid. After that our next goal was to log our 13,000th find - - - so we navigated from cache to cache to the one the GPS said was next closest etc. On the way home our mental arithmetic said that we were one short so we did what Bruce (of Liz & Bruce) would say - - "Just one more lovey!" & ended up with 22 finds & 0 DNFs at the end of the run.
We awarded this cache a favourite point for the ingenious construction.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** Container and log book are in good shape, but **the listed trackable "mtribe's Scubasonic Geocoin" is not in the cache,** could Tk2 (or the Trackable owner) please "Mark the Item as Missing" so it can be removed from the cache inventory. This option is under Actions on the trackable's web page).
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.
