11:16, 12 March 2017, Ali and I were out with stainless-steel-rat and gooseandegg from Tassie caching for the day while they are over here for the weekend and we decided to do a few in the Williamstown area (my home town) so local knowledge really helped today.
Well this is the second time i've visited this site and twice its alluded me, today there was more than just my eyes looking and we all concluded that its not here seeing that everyone else on their logs say a quick easy find... hope we dont have our blinkers on..
Maybe the CO could come and check this to see if it is here..
A great sculpture tho.

This is definitely a cool sculpture even though I don't like ants. My father is allergic to jack-jumpers (bull ants) and we had lots of attacks when we were kids. One even tried to attack my kids in January when we were on the hunt for a Rustys cache out east. It was terrorizing them in the back seat of the car.
These ants can't bite anyone but they did hurt our perfect record so far today.
We sat and felt, we squatted and looked, we even checked other ants and surroundings but eventually gave up disappointed. Thanks The Empire. Hopefully I can get back another time.

Found it! Our last stop before heading back to the car. Great sculpture! A quick find. It would be more difficult to find during the week! TFTC SL
Amazing geo cache love the ants brought me to a place that I would absolutely e never known thank!
Heading to the Big Bash Cricket with hubby and the kids so we detoured for a few quick caches. An easy find here - our last for the day. Cool street art. Many thanks
2nd find with Paddy for the day. spent a long time looking for this one in all the classic places but after thinking about the clue soon got it.

ps. Sorry for a very late log.

Had to come back a few days later, but found this nano with the help of some good mates. Woo, tftc
This is find 2 from a total of 9 finds today.
This cache is also my Find 3222.
Thanks The Empire for the cache.

Interesting Art work, it took a little longer than I expected, but the log was sighed anyway
Omg! I loved this find, took me ten minutes but well worth it, happy hunting ppl
Wow so long ago, and a slow progress to catch up with my logging. It is a shame to see this one archived. These were a great sight to see on our family trip some two years ago. Parking was harder than the cache, and if I remember rightly my boys even got a hair cut from the barber just down the road.
JABs.
JABs.
Found it straight away this time. It was not in this spot the last time I looked. TFTC
After a previous DNF, I saw that the cache had been replaced and made a mental note to return here. The hint really narrows it down - a quick find and a sign and I was on my way.
TFTC!
TFTC!
Great hide. I'm hopeless at nanos but spotted this quickly. Hint certainly helped. Tftc
Great hide ! I was fortunate to see it right away. Beautiful little bench area. Enjoyed the visit to Williamstown. Tftc!

Out with n0w0rries and BendSinister today picking up various caches around the area.
Can't believe how small and neat BS's writing is.
Awesome sculpture! Thanks for bringing us here today, The Empire.
Now off to the finals.

n0w0rries, OzHockeyChick and myself applied 6 eyes to the task of locating this nano. I choose to rule out a less obvious hiding place first up, but I needn't have done so. n0w0rries was onto it remarkably quickly, a few feet away. I actually like these little things; they're unfairly maligned in some circles. Thanks The Empire!
Made the decision to come to Williamstown to grab some of the caches here. Upon arrival I noticed my pocket queries hadn't loaded onto my GPS properly so had to rely on my phone which was already down to 50% battery.
I decided to skip the multis and concentrate on the Earthcache and trads.
This was my last find of the day.
I used the artwork around here as diversion by taking photos of it and then went in for the find.
A nice find here, glad I brought my tweezers along as log extraction was difficult.
Signed and replaced.
Thanks The Empire - I had an awesome day in Williamstown today, my 3rd visit to this port but only my first since I started caching.

Only a small amount of time to squeeze in a few cache finds in Melbourne. This was one of them.
I've visited here previously but at that time I was unable to proceed due to muggle presence. Not that problem today.
After a bit of a gander around we made a quite straightforward find.
Cache was in order; a freshly replaced log signed, then cache was safely rehidden, just as found.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!

Replaced this one too. It's a Poke-stop now, so watch out for those people catching poke-balls or whatever...

I was unable to find this one, despite looking at the clue and previous logs. Multiple people have suggested recently that the magnet has gone missing and that the cache has been found out in the open, so it isn't hard to imagine that it might have dissappeared...
Could not find it at first, then spotted something on the floor, replaced where i thought it may of been.
Loved this! Had me so confused then followed the clue e voila! Thank you Look around you fellow cachers...
After having checked in at the nearby hotel, I took an evening walk down the street. Found the ants and realised that even though they were large, they were much smaller than the picture would have made me think. The cache was soon found, but as already mentioned before, it has two problems: the log is full and the magnet is either missing or at least very weak.
Found on our night journey through the area, our 200th find, tftc!
Log book is full and needs replacing, we couldn't sign.

Just when I thought containers couldn't get any smaller, haha. Have always loved these ants! TFTC.
On a around-the-bay sail on Stampede and picking up a few caches at every stop. A quick find on a morning walk.

After a massive day travelling here, there and everywhere, I ended up in Williamstown for a birthday. Taking a back street on the way home, I saw this pop up, and thought night would be the perfect time to find this.
Cool cool sculptures - I really appreciate urban art. Was admiring the handiwork when my companion said "here it is" hahaha I'm still claiming it as a find. TFTC

On a day trip to Williamstown this was very close to the specialist I was attending, and a very welcome diversion. Thanks for placing the cache here, it was where the previous logger head placed it, and I returned it to the same spot. The log was full so I added another temporary piece of paper.
Not sure if this cache is supposed to be magnetised to the sculpture, but I found it on the ground with no magnets. I have left it under a ground ant. "log book" is full too. Cheers

Today is my last day in Melbourne and Australian. I took the train to Spotswood and went to the coast to Seaholme.
Unfortunately it was very windy.
After no more Muggles could see, I could grab the little ones.

Introducing niece and nephew to caching! Found just in the nick of time before a group of school children walked past. Thanks!
After a walk around the waterfront, with LHE Duo, the rain had got a little bit heavier so it was good to try and keep to the awnings of the shopping area now.
This cache soon appeared not far from where we were. So decided to make the stop and take a little look. There were a few options of spots to try. But soon there were only a couple of ones that really gave any good option to hide the cache. It did not take to much longer and soon the cache was in hand and the log was signed. Which actually could use replacing, it is a kind of a small log with not much space left.

It only seemed appropriate that geocacher 'NavigatorAnt' should find this cache today whilst visiting from New Zealand! Thanks - that was my Dad 's first ever cache !
Out in the area and swung by for this quick little grab on cool street art. Lots of dodgy characters out tonight. Look full. Thanks for showing me the street art!
Muggle free today due to the Melbourne Cup so we had plenty of time to look. Searched by feel only and it soon turned up. Log is tiny and getting a bit ratty and almost full. Tftc
Staying in Williamstown for a few days so naturally I'm going after a few local caches as opportunities to do so arise. This a quick and straightforward find, but as the log Ned's replacing, I took a photo instead of signing it. Thanks for bringing me to an interesting sight Empire and for the smiley.
So many neat metal structures around these parts! Thank you for placing a nano that didn't drive us to madness! Tftc
We are behind logging caches after misplacing our caching book.
Out today knocking over a few hides in the local area.
Thanks for the hide,
Regards The Coffee's.

Now that is some fancy artwork. What a great place to hide cache. Had to wait for a couple of passing muggles before I could grab the hide. Unfortunately the lid had been cross threaded, so it wasn't so easy to open. TFTC The Empire
How cute. Loved these little guys. A quick easy cache before a nice lunch. TFTC
