I went to visit this one today and removed the two containers.

It is a great spot and maybe after all the roadworks are completed a new cache can be placed here.

Cheers!!!

This cache is not available due to construction which will majorly change the area. The area currently has large machines, fences and a lot less trees than a few weeks ago.... I will keep an eye on it and see if archiving is required.

According to the inter-nerd....

The next stage (Phase C) will upgrade the Smith Street Motorway, Olsen Avenue (south) and the
interchange connecting the Smith Street Motorway and Olsen Avenue. This phase includes:
- constructing an auxiliary lane eastbound on the Smith Street Motorway, between the on-ramp
adjacent to Jamieson Drive and the off-ramp to Olsen Avenue, using the existing road formation
- widening the Smith Street Motorway from four to six lanes from Olsen Avenue to Kumbari Avenue
- resurfacing the eastbound and westbound lanes on the Smith Street Motorway between Jamieson
Drive and Kumbari Avenue
- constructing a free-flowing loop in the southeast quadrant of the interchange
- constructing a new signalised intersection on Smith Street between Parklands Drive and Kumbari
Avenue
- widening Olsen Avenue from four to six lanes, between the interchange and Crestwood Drive, using
the existing road formation
- widening a 200 metre section of southbound road shoulder on Olsen Avenue, south of Crestwood
Drive
- changing the speed limit on the Smith Street Motorway from 100km/h to 80km/h west of the
interchange, and from 80km/h to 70km/h from Parklands Drive to Kumbari Avenue
- installing a CCTV camera on the Smith Street Motorway opposite Parklands Drive to improve
monitoring and management of traffic conditions

Had another go looking for this one, but alas no luck again. Can anyone confirm if its still there?

12-Jan-14
Had a lovely walk in the forest, trying to trek down paths that were not too overgrown. Looked for this one for quite a while but unfortunately we searched and searched and could not find it! (Some clues would be much appreciated?)
While we were poking round the burnt out rusty car an elderly muggle on a push bike had silently snuck up on us. He watched us for a while before we noticed him. He barely spoke nor responded to our greeting, or friendly questions, and as he stared at us, it was as though he did not want to leave. We wondered if he lived in the tent across from the pond. Finally he left, peddling away on his bike.
We had become a bit spooked then, and we felt like he may still be in the trees watching.
So, fearing we might ruin anything be being watched by the muggle, and considering we'd indeed been looking for some time now, we decided to leave this one for the day. As we walked up one of the paths, the same muggle silently arrived behind us on his bike. Once again he hung about, an offer to ride past was refused, and he silently rode behind us for a while until a fork in the path took us separate ways.
I was glad I wasn't by myself for this one. If you're a woman, you might want to go with someone else!
I do want to go back though, for another try Smile

I needed five multis today to round off some figures when I reached my 1000th find by the end of the day. There was someone camping on the other side of the lagoon. Bristracker's comment about not a good idea for women to do this one alone kept reverberating around my head as I kept one eye on the tent and the other in amongst the rusty bits. I had to abandon this as I felt uncomfortable and wasn't having any luck. I will be back sometime. Thanks radnoski. I was sad to walk away as I had been putting this one off for so long.

On day 5 on my Queensland caching trip I was able to grab 65 caches for the day. Had a great sleep and started early to beat the heat. Plenty of great caches today and thanks once again to all the CO's.

04-Aug-13
Found with Poynts95 and Sportacuss on a half day caching run in the Gold Coast area. We did a bit of fishing after the caching. Only 11 for the morning, but some good caches found, and some good walks as well, courtesy of some Radonski caches. Thanks to all CO's for hiding and maintaing their caches.

Great location with the little pond here. Nice surprise. No trouble finding both WP1 and the final. TFTC and the enjoyable morning walk around.

I was making the rounds of a few cache in the area with Aussie Liahona, and this one was suggested. It seemed straight forward enough. I cannot believe how many of these seem to make it to these places in here, more to the point how they got to these places in here.

In the late 80's this bush and over where Crestwood and Bunnings is now was nearly my 2nd home. Many afternoons spent with neighborhood mates riding through these bush tracks. We knew them like the back of our hands.
Fast forward 20 odd years and I havn't got a clue anymore. I had just left It's magnetic and found a track that headed in the general direction. So with a spider web stick in hand I followed it down and around to WP1. After a bit of searching I had the clue. I punched in the new co-ords and headed in the wrong direction again, so more bush bashing was in order.
At GZ I started to think Radnoski has a thing for these types of bush monuments. While searching I noticed this was a Xf Ford Falcon which may have been pretty new when I was in this bush last. If built at all. What a cool hiding spot. Nice camo. SL then headed on back and surprisingly managed to follow a track all the way back to my car. Thanks Radnoski for a cool multi and for spiking my memory of the past.

Pedalled the geocycle along some great trails to the WPs. Found the moveable cache at WP1 first. Decided to take the moveable cache as I was heading towards a suitable location for it Smile A more thorough search revealed what I actually needed to find here. More pedalling to WP2. Found after a quick hunt Smile

26-Dec-12
I decided to check this one out as it hasn't been found for a while.

The container at waypoint 1 had gone missing so I have replaced it.

I also had a large GCA movable cache with me so placed it nearby.

The cache is still in place. I shouted it a new zip-lock bag.

Good to go!! Cheers.

Got stuck on WP1. Searched for ages. Have really enjoyed not finding your caches this weekend Radnoski. (Have found a lot too though. Thanks)

25-Aug-12
Had a few hours to kill and I could think of nothing better than getting a few more smilies on the board in my favourite game.

I had parked close to "Dude Where's my Car" where I would be able to pick up the 3 caches on this side.

WP1 had me stumped and I was not prepared to give up on it because I either wanted to find it or advise the CO of its disappearance.

In that vane I PAF and they gave me a hint as to where it was, and I found it, it has been dislodged from its hide.

I rehid it as best I could and moved on to GZ.

Boy this area is looking like a parking lot no wonder Bob lost his car here.

I gave the area a quick scan and came up with the prize.

All was safe and dry.

Thanks Radnoski TFTC SL TNLN

couldn't find the first container Sad

Seems like Bob never did remember the parking spot of his previous cars! It took a bit of a hunt at both locations to find the hides - we're just warming up Red Face. An interesting stroll through this patch of bush. Thanks radnoski

# 570 This weekend is my last in Brisbane. Over the past 6 weeks on the drive down and while living in the Gold Coast Hinterland, I have almost doubled my total cache finds, captured my first Letterboxes and 5/5 cache, tripled the number of Earth Caches and events I have attended, and managed 68 caches in a day.

Up early this morning to trade the much loved Cache Racer in on a brand spanking new Cache Ranger. Took a lot less time than expected, and wanted to go for a drive, so made a small detour on the way home.

An interesting little multi. we think ourselves so clever, but nature claims back what we discard. Given enough time, there will be little to no trace of this.

Couldn't get past first base on my last visit so I made sure that I had Ms M in tow this time. It's a surprisingly nice piece of bush if one overlooks the rusty bits. Ms M didn't let me down finding both WP1 and the final while I just stood there as an admiring spectator. Pretty easy to get lost with all the trails without a GPS. Who uses them? Students?
Nice wee multi. Most enjoyable.

Nice to be out cruising through the bush on a crisp cool morning, got to wp1 no muggles in sight quick hunt to find cache & details for nxt wp. Took a little bit of finding for nxt cache but revealed itself eventually, still cant get over how many wrecks there r in this area. TFTC Very Happy

One more before lunch we decided while we are in the area! Well it ended up in a late lunch Smile. Not really hard to find though, just a bit of a walk but worth the effort. Very nice walk, still a bit soggy here and there. Thanks for the nice cache and showing us your oldtimers radnoski. We took the TB Multi Cache Micro which we picked up earlier today along for a journey along multicaches.

Found with 2 of my geokids, (the two that are frightened of spiders). They enthusiastically searched Waypoint 1 and had the co-ordinates for GZ in hand in a couple of minutes. Search no.2 took a little longer but the cache was found successfully as dark approached and we decided to call it a day. Thanks for the cache!

A perfect example of the radnoski cache hiding style. a good walk through the forest supplied my daily dose of cardio but please note, I would not recommend this walk to a female on her own. then some tricky fingerwork to find WP1's secret. But the best was for last. I wanted to souvenir a part of the machine but everything crumbled in my hands. this cache should provide fun for a long time to come. See why I call him Wrecknoski? OK it has to have a favourite.

While out in the area today with Captain Terror we head towards WP1, we soon arrived after a nice pathed bush walk. We then commenced the hunt for the clue, at first we were a little care after a earlier incident involving a snake.. but then the clue appeared and the co-ords we plugged in to the GPSr Smile

We headed further around and soon found our selves at GZ and the within a few moments had the cache in hand and were adding our names to the log.

I'm just slowly making my way south for a week-end out on the bike. The second day on the bike for me down the coast. Smile

Now to start a crash course in caching. Razz The teacher will be Mr Radnoski Smile

Class 103 turned out to be a little more complicated being a multi...and getting my bike down here. Razz and back up the hill.

But the finding of WP1 and the final was not too much trouble and I was soon on my way.

Thanks and another student passes the crash course in caching. Wink

I lucked out here today. Got to WP1 and came up with a donut. Tried an AL and found a likely final GZ but couldn't find anything there either.
Another time.

20-Jan-12
This was a great multi, that took me on a nice walk along the bushland tracks here. Maybe I got lucky at WP1, but I found the key fairly quickly. I then continued on my way along on the track until I reached GZ. Even though it was larger, it took me longer to find the container. Thanks for a fun themed cache.

01-Jan-12
Well, I walked out of the bush from the other non-drive-by and looked across the road. There was a track, hmmm. Checked the GPSr and WP1 was less than 200 metres. “Oh, what the hell”, I thought. Ran through the traffic and set off to do the multi. Came upon the WP and with the numbers in hand, continued the trek to GZ. Went the wrong way and had to bush nudge (that would be a gentle bush bash) to GZ Big Grin. Arrived there with a few cobwebs and started searching. Took a bit of looking but finally noticed an unnatural pile of rust Wink and soon had my name in the book. Not a lot of people doing either of these caches and that’s a shame, because they’re both a pleasant, easy walk. I’m glad I took the time to complete them both [^]. I do however, wonder about your dark and shady past ‘radnoski’. You seem to have a thorough knowledge of abandoned cars and road signs in this area. Anything you want to tell us?

Yes, well, of course we would have liked to have been FTF but it wasn't to be as we were in the U.S. However, we needed a cache today for the calendar so we picked this one as there was supposed to be a storm coming and this was nearest. We both took umbrellas and set out in the late afternoon. Found the paths easily enough, and the right decision at a crossroads had us at waypoint 1 in good time. Now where would that be!!! I was looking in a particular spot for a particular item that the hint would fit. Couldn't find it. Widened the search and found the other thing we then realized we would be looking for, quite quickly. Good one! Now, on to GZ. Another nice walk, but this walk in the company of a few mozzies who'd found us by now because we'd stalled at Waypoint 1 long enough for them to find us. The clouds seemed to be dispersing now. Found GZ and found the cache quickly. It was very nice to add our signature to the short list of geocachers who have found this cache. Come on geocachers. Get on out here. It's a lovely easy walk along pathways and round a lovely pond with water lilies. Made our way back to the geomobile with all signs of the storm disappearing. Thanks for another first class cache Radnoski!!

I was hoping to drive to GZ today, but seeing what became of others before me, I'm glad I didn't. Came armed with my Fangsoki today so after a short search for WP1 he pointed me in the right direction. Soon ready to blast off and find the final. Great little walk through this patch of bush, and soon had cache in hand. a great little multi, a great spot and worthy of a favourite. TFTC.

27-Aug-11
WP1 was definitely a tricky one. Lots of likely places and plenty of poking and prodding required here. But we got it in the end and now off to GZ. That was a very quick find as the container must have fallen from it's original location and was in plain sight. Fortunately it is very well camouflaged so probably avoided passing muggle eyes. We hid it where we thought it should be and covered it up a bit better.

Enjoyed the walk through from the Uni, even though it was raining and we both got very wet. The frog song at WP1 was very loud today. They are obviously very happy it's raining. Didn't realise this woodland area was so extensive.

TFTC Radnoski, nice multi.

07-Aug-11
Was out doing a bit of caching with Mr Gap and decided today would be good to tackle a few of those devilish Radnoski caches Twisted I enjoyed the walk out to this one and after some time searching for WP1 and trying to decide what sort of item it was it was time for a PAF deal and soon the neccessary information was at hand - quite enjoyed this one TFTC Radnoski

07-Aug-11
Arrived at WP1 and spent wayyy too much time looking for the "key"... after a call to fangsoki, we realised it was the spare key we were after... Found this sneaky hide, then on to GZ and this one turned out to be an easy hide.

Thanks Radnoski, really enjoyed this little multi!!

I had the pleasure of Radnoski and Son's company on this one. This is Blake's first geocache hunt. I can't say his heart was really in the hunt. If I didn't know better I would say he slept through through the whole thing Razz

We got to the first WP's GZ. I picked over GZ out of interest and to make an identification - and to look for the WP. This was a subtle hide indeed and took a bit of finding. Luckily the cache owner was on hand Razz

Onto the next WP. This one had me perplexed... Oh.. and yeah - I found the cache relatively quickly Razz TFTC radnoski Smile

Were just about to give up when the man himself showed up. With a few extra hints we recovered the first one and headed off to the second. After a bit if searching we found the second one. Took the TB.

18-Jun-11
So many tracks to choose from, and after a very winding track we arrived at WP1. Searched and searched, finally read the hint which helped a little. Then one of the geokids said "found it" - well that was sneaky! Loaded the coords and off to gz. This was spotted quicker (by the same geokid). Dropped off Bristracker's Dream Geovehicle TB, hopefully it makes an escape from the area unlike so many others here. Chose a different track for the exit out. Great multi Radnoski, and quite a nice patch of bush. Smile

We want it, we want it, we have it. It just took us out of towners to be keen enough. The walk was wonderful, we found heaps of sticky green seeds to keep as friends, I do not think I left any for anyone else - sorry. On arrival to find a virgin page was just fantastic. TNLN TFTC
