Like others before the site is trashed and many DNFs. Had a quick look but with no hint and no idea of what type of container ran out of time as I had an appointment - maybe worth a check by the cache owner?
Sorry had not been getting messages on the situation with this cache. Will check next week.
I too think this one has gone or its buried under the multitude of branch and leaf debris from the tree felling.. interestingly, I could not see any more trees cut around the GZ area.
Rhodie67 and mrs Team KSBTJ headed out for an early walk while the rest of the family was still in bed. Never been to this reserve before and really enjoyed the scenery here. Found the nice big cache and signed log. Tftc.
After work today, I needed to run a few errands. The last one was not too far from here, so, after I finished, I headed here. After parking the car, I headed through the gate and looked at the map. Hmmm....no trails marked there that go close to where I want to go. Not letting that stop me, I wandered down the track. Before long, I came across a small trail leading in the direction I wanted to go. I followed it and then found another feint branch, which I followed. This led me through a small opening and I was soon at GZ. Lots of places to search here, but the cache was soon located. I added my name to the logbook and rehid the cache before retracing my steps. TFTC
Out today to get some numbers and new caches on the north side. Tftc. Recovered and returned.
Added a golf ball after my misguided hunt took me to many wrong places before finding the right one.

Well after taking the most difficult way, following the fenceline through the bush, finally found myself at GZ. There has been some previous bush felling but not much clean-up, clear-up.
Lucky for me there is a breeze blowing today and the clouds are providing some cover.
Found several golf balls along the way and, surprise, the cache contains several more. Should have afded one to the collection.
Took nothing, left nothing but my name. All good with cache. Glad to have this one marked off.
Signed and returned. Tftc

Well I was a little intrigued by the name of the cache onsite, but did not read to much into it, but just taking a look at the description now and sounds quite interesting. Although half way there almost from when the cache was placed and there doesn't really look to be much happening in the way of changes. Even though it could definitely be a benefit from what I have seen of Gympie Rd.
Anyway back to the cache it did not take to much looking to find the container and soon had my name in the log, before making my way back up the hill for a second time. Great to be out and making use of these two legs I got.

Having just done the nearby Microtree I'd decided to grab this one as well. I'd done a bit of research and ruled out 2 of the 4 possible approaches. I started out from one of the other 2 but couldn't get to where I needed to be so back in the car to come in from the other direction. It turned out to be much more hilly than I expected and I'm pretty sure I could have approached from another direction and gotten here much more quickly.
Once there it didn't take long to find the cache and sign the log.

Bush bashed my way in after jumping stream. As is always the way, an easier path was found on the way out.

Found while clearing out the area. Took a short search but then spied the prize. TFTC
After doing spider on the hill we though this cache didn't seem too far away through the reserve. Oops we were kinda wrong. However we persisted and managed to make headway until finally voilĂ we found it. Now for the trek back to the beaten path.... We hope! TFTC
We enjoyed the cache but decided to take the hard path to it, so it took us way longer than if we had just gone another way. TFTC
I set out from work at lunch time today with every intention of finding this cache. I planned to park in trouts road and head north to the cache. I was not quite prepared for the terrain that confronted me and will have to consider another way in. Back to work I go.
While I was in the Chermside Hills area, had to finish off the day with this one. Didn't realise this area seems to have hills, then more hills!! Found quickly. TFTC ruzzlez
My gps took me to a spot about 8 metres away. After searching and scratching around for 15 minutes or so, I decided to give up and concluded that cache was not there. Then on the way out of the area, the cache presented itself in a different spot. Must be the trees. Oh well, a find is a find. TFTC.
Came via the north route. Nice walk, but not in business attire. Shoes were not well suited to the steep track. Still some pretty fauna (dragon flies mostly) and Flora (grass trees were amazing). Also located the cache. In good condition, and still has 3 golf balls inside. I found one whilst I was looking, and will keep that one rather than swap something today. Thanks for bringing me to this part of the world - very peaceful today.
I had parked by a nearby multi and was ready to set off on the geocycle when I noticed the no bicycle signs at the park entrance.
This one looked like it might not quite be inside the fence, so I headed of up the street to find a track that would take me to it.
Ah - that will do nicely. A nice short ride and I was at GZ and glad I had the goecycle now.
A nice quick find at GZ thanks

Jelly and myself were heading back to Spangle to have a drink and a 5 min rest. We made sure to take this track back so we wouldn't miss this cache. Once at GZ it was an easy find. I signed the log and then replaced the cache as it had been found.
Thanks for the cache Ruzzelz

Nice easy find. Nice easy walk to the find. TFTC. 12 yr old puppy not so keen on the hills.
Right behind some lucky bugger's own private golf course! Haha. Had to put a wayward golf ball in the cache, there were quite a few around. I really like this bushland and will have to come back for a walk more often. tftc!
On a quick dash back to the car from Henry (GZ) and could not skip a small detour to this one.
Returned 5 golf balls while hunting for the cache, but did get it.
Took heart link; left another link. TFTC.

Tried to find this one with a friend but we couldn't work out how to access it - some fine balancing work was undertaken on the way and we got within 70m of GZ before freaking out we were on private property and tactically disengaged. Did see a big kangaroo though! A nice little area regardless. One day I'll be back!
After wandering around inside the perimeter for quite a while, I decided to find this one on the way back to the car. I took a quasi-OK shortcut along a road and was soon slipping through the fence/gate and down the road. There were several wallabies bouncing away from me at different times: Great to know they're still around. One just sat out in the open on the golf course and watched me for a long time. The cache is well hidden but when I just looked around carefully, I spotted some telltale signs. All fine inside.
Walking through these areas and contemplating just how long the bushland will remain is often a sombre experience and today was no exception. Thanks for the visit.

Decided I best get moving and get this one given the precise time limit. Thought I was going to have to go back out and come up but somehow I fluked my way onto the right path. Kudos to the Kiwis for their magnificent plastic containers - dry as a bone inside. TFTH ruzzelz
Cache is in good condition. Thanks for the hide. Needs some swaps of some kind. Found it while killing time before going back to work
After a nice leisurely trek through the bush we reached Gz. Now where could that cache be soo many possibilities soon had the little treasure in our hands now to get back to the car lol
Me and my dad went out this morning looking for caches found Spider on the hill and went looking for this one. We were about to give up when we saw it!
I have looked at doing this one before but was trying to approach it from the wrong direction.
Today I was cruising around the Chermside Hills and found my way to this one.
Ms Garmin sent me too far, but I soon found where I needed to be and found a cache hidden away.
Thanks ruzzelz for the cache - all good within.

I shared the track this morning with a three metre long snake. A carpet python I think. The company made it a favourite cache.
Out today on a beautiful caching day. No muggles, a wee bit of walking, terrific bush setting to enjoy. And to top if off - a plastic container within my sights
This is such a nice area and the local council have done a great job at preserving it for days such as today. A good hide with coords spot on of course. Thanks for bringing us here today. Container and contents all in good order today.

I had my little niece for the day so decided to take her for a walk. I just happened to choose this path of course, having a lovely plastic box alongside it. As it happened her mum arrived to collect her just as we were about to head off so she joined us.
We were serenaded by various birds as we arrived at GZ and soon had the good sized cached in hand. Geoniece is still a little small for swaps so we just signed the log. Cache is dry and in good condition. TFTC, The Geocyclist.

Find #992 at 11:20 with MissGeosie and MissSuzie.
Glad I didn't look at the recent logs before we made the trek to GZ, or I would have skipped this one today. After an 83% DNF rate last night, I was in no mood for more sadfaces. Once we arrived, I saw all the frowny logs and figured I'd made a terrible mistake.
However, it was not so. A few well-chosen prods with a handy pokey stick made something move, and under it was a cache. And not just that, but (considering the location, the debris, the type of container and the time since last find) a cache in amazingly perfect condition. Looks as good as the day it was hidden [^]
TFTC, Geocyclist. I really do have to get me an MTB one of these days....

After some bush bashing and reaching GZ not a cache to be sighted , lots of debris to sort through , not our day
I struggled with this one. I don't know if the recent bad weather and storm activity is a factor (a bit of deadfall lying around).
I'll wait and see. Then try again after some other logs.

We approached this one from the south yesterday, thinking that we'd have to go into the reserve, but the warning signs there advised us to stay out due to recent burn offs. So today we came in from the north, up, down, up, down. The mooselings slipped and slid, but were keen to make the find. There, tucked away, we found the sizeable cache and swapped, signed and notched another one up. A good walk! tftc ruzzelz
Located with NZ1 & GBNZ. Very nice to meet up with them after seeing them in Hawaii a few months ago. We walked around and tried a couple of possible entrances before finding the correct track. Soon found the cache. SL TFTC
On a sunny Brisbane morning I was enjoying a bike ride around the dark side
From a nearby side street I found the beautifully constructed, if not a bit muddy, bike track that runs south along Trouts Road
At least it is marked as Trouts Road on the GPS' map.
Traffic Flow 2012 is superb...No traffic at all [^]
Somewhere by the side of the "road" I found me a cache tucked away
How council plans to fit a railway, road and velodrome within this narrow corridor without obliterating a large part of the Chermside Hills Reserve is a puzzle

Like model bear, I travelled cross country from the nearby puzzle cache. A nice hide. Covered well when rehiding. Took the TB as it seemed a little lonely.

Our 3rd cache of the day while caching in this beautiful area. Came directly from the puzzle cache nearby through the bush until we came across a likely path, followed it to a fence and then followed the fence. Once a suitable opening in the fence was located a short stroll led us to GZ and a quick find of the cache. Cache dry and in good condition. TFTC and the stroll today.
Out and about on the Northside grabbing a few caches that have been missed on other days out.
I got close but was on the wrong track. A little bit further along the bike path I saw a possible way up and it got me to GZ. Parked the bike real close and started searching. IolantheK covered it up real good...it took me a few minutes to find.
A big container...yippee...I've been to soo many micros lately and I have TB's to drop off. So I'll drop one in here.
All dry and well here. Thanks for the cache.

Think I started from the wrong spot because I had to swap sides of the fence at one point... Eventually found a nice wide path, so was a great walk in. The hide was well concealed, but obvious to a cacher's eye And always nice to see a large box. Everything in excelllent condition. TFTC, ruzzelz.
Pity about the potential road. The council wants us to protect Chermside Hills (quite rightly) but it approves housing subdivisions on the edges, Hamilton Road extension and ultimately the transport corridor. Bad luck about the Hills reserve!!!
Nice walk down from the Spider Hill. Log dry. Looks like now we climb back up Spider Hill. Good exercise. TNLN TFTC Thanks ruzzelz
This was the last one in the immediate area today and i decided to attack it solo after we ended up back at the car. I made the quick dash up the hill, thinking how different this area will be in the years to come . I was quickly at GZ, where i began my hunt. I could see many hiding places before me, but i think i was lucky and caught the smallest glimpse of a very familiar colour as i was about to search another place nearby . The cache is in great condition and dry.
Took 2x T.B's to move on. Thanks again ruzzelz

Together with a nearby spider and a grass tree, this made for a pleasant stroll around the locality today. Found this one quickly and signed the log. Also left the "Don Dorrigo Gazette" TB.
Found with VWNuts. Nice little walk up a bush track. It will be a pity to lose some of this bushland when the development happens. I reckon the bloke with the home made golf course next door is not going to be to happy either. TFTC
Decided to sneak out of the house this morning and grab a couple of caches with Nearra. I enjoyed the walk to this cache. I love the bush caches.

this was the last for the day... and i was glad after the trek we took to get it... after doing the grass tree trail thought. where is this one???
so headed back around the track - hey there's the car...
maybe we missed a track somewhere.
so off up the hill again.
then down a hill, then around a few bends to end up 175mts from the car (in viewing distance)
oh well... got it in the end so i was happy about that!

Took much longer than it should have. Then I noticed something that was a bit too orderly for mother nature and there it was.

Quick find today with Treking Trev. We managed to grab a few caches between downpours. Left cache inside a cache TB to continue it's journey. SL, TFTH
I really should have been leaving but there is always "Just one more" cache to get.
A simple walk up the hill and I found the cache easily. I wonder if it will ever be in danger from development?
Thanks ruzzelz. I took MLB TB.

Hmm, Kaisho53 and I can;t compete with Loki and her trek to GZ but, we did make use of some tracks that perhaps we shouldn't have... It's ok though, we just missed the large red letters that suggested no access. They don;t count for Geocachers do they... [?]
I had originally thought that we could have walked directly from the car park but, having noticed the creek, thought better of it. We never did go and check... Instead, we did a slightly larger looped approach past Spider Hill and around the clear paths to a bright yellow gate which I suggest also means no entry...
Anyway, we found a nice clear path at that point, all the way to GZ. Looking down on the Gunniemobile parked off in the distance... Got to GZ and made a nice quick find. I was tucking the cache away and just about to head off when some locals who were hitting golf balls around, had obviously lobbed one into the area... So, a small chat was had and some little white lies extended about our reason for being. Pfft, they're muggles, they'll never guess the real story..
We left the trackable in place and moved on. Thanks for the walk around this great area again Ruzzelz and of course, thanks for the cache... [^]

While chasing a nearby multi we detoured from stage 4 to pick up this cache....
After a nice wander along the paths (although the validity of our access was maybe questionable on some [?] )we arrived at GZ & Gunnie69 soon had cache in hand...
Our only issue was a family of muggles searching for a lost golf ball in nearby park area and getting closer & closer..
They noticed us just as we retreated from the cache hiding spot so an impromptu story about looking for an animal we heard in the bushes seemed to provide an adequate reason to them for our presence.. seems (0r so we were told the area abounds in bandicoots, scrub turkeys & wallabies that prefer the ladies garden to the natural vegetation )

TFTC. Last time in the area was raining hard so did not bother looking, a lot nicer day to attempt today.
I went about this one all the wrong way! Followed Chermside Hills reserve track in and then tried to cross over to the 'corridor'. Down the gully, up the gully, all in work uniform and then came the 2m chain link fence. *sigh* Very ungracefully managed to get over (still in work clothes and shoes!) and then it was a quick walk to GZ. Spent a minute or two looking for the well hidden cache before trying a different way out. That required a creek crossing. (still in work shoes). I spotted a safe way across that involved only mild scrambling and then a second smaller fence hop before making my way back to the car. So I didn't do this the terrain 2 way!! But I very much enjoyed the cache and of course, the area, so thanks Mr Ruzzelz G. O'Cyclist
After initially attempting to come in to this one from the obvious parking position, I decided that coming from the opposite direction made a lot more sense! So off up the hill I went.
I followed my nose and collected clues for Grass Tree Hill along the way, and eventually made it to the GZ. That is one impressive backyard!
Cache was well hidden, so I did the same after signing.
Thanks again, Ruzzelz

at 11:37. Wow! A log book without EngPhil's name in it. We took the same wrong way in as he did initially but carried on and found first the cache and then the easy way in.
We found and grabbed the "In the Chips II" TB which the system says was elsewhere.
TFTC Ruzzelz. The cache is fine.

962 - Found ourselves back in this nice piece of bushland this afternoon in pursuit of a newly placed cache. We entered into the reserve, crossed the creek via the bridge and made our way up the steep hill like we had done on at least 3 other occasions in search of a prize. Found the track that I knew lead back to GZ and passed a muggle walking his dog. Found the cache easily and in good condition at 12:42pm. Left the Pirate Rafaela Water Rat TB, discovered In the Chips II TB and took the Australian Flag Micro GC. We then continued down the hill through the piece of bushland and crossed the creek and back to the geomobile. Thanks ruzzelz, it was a nice opportunity to walk through this lovely piece of bushland again.
It was great to come back into this area to grab this one. I think I made my approach very long winded and quite un-necessary. But it was a nice walk anyways. I came up to the hide and found it safe and sound. It was in good condition. I dropped in a GC and picked up a trackable.
It's good you bring up what the land is planned to be used for. I wonder indeed what the traffic system is going to be like in Brisbane in 2020...

Well I must say I do like our new reviewers "work hours" He/she publishes caches at the right time, nothing worse than caches being published during the day while I am at work .
So at home while enjoying some Quality British Sci-Fi, a notification came through, not too far from home, relatively easy. I checked the maps and hoped there was a path over the creek.
I told my partner I was going out and I hope she understood, but in her sleep I can only assume her gibberish was "that's fine, have fun" [^].
It was a quick drive at this time of night and I parked in my usual spot for this are and was happy to see no other cars about.
I approached the creek and saw no crossing , while considering jumping over it I spotted a crossing a bit downstream . This was much easier (and probably smarter/safer/etc than jumping) Following a path I was soon at GZ. The cache was found easily in a cacher favourite. The log book was opened and on opening, it was blank . *FTF* at 9:21pm.
As I approached the car I spotted a familiar car coming along the road, it was Engphil and Palopinto, looks like I had just beaten them to this one . We caught up and then went our separate ways.
Thanks Mr Geocyclist

Argh! So we did park at the right spot to start with. In the darkness we didn't see the creek crossing and went for a walk a lot further downstream. We found a crossing, of sorts.. which appeared to put us in someone's backyard, so we retreated. One final entry point to try... but it was occupied by a very smug looking Totalube who had just sniped the FTF from right under our noses! Oh well.... we'll come back to try this one in the daylight, I think. Congrats Mr Totalube for your quick find!
