Wanted to find a few caches whilst we were in Australia. Third visit to this one in three days, still no luck having checked out all the likely locations, so it may have gone missing.
Looks like it has been muggled. There's just a TB where the cache should be. Will replace shortly.
I passed by with the geodogs to drop off a TB, to find the cache missing from its spot; the Cache Us If you Can TB was in the spot as well as a baby's dummy, so I pushed them further out of sight. I had a quick look around the area, but couldn't see the container nearby (admittedly, it was dark).

Nice park. Main problem here was working out where the right paths start. It was behind where I parked the Hademobile, but I only discovered that on the way out.
Not a real problem though, as none of the distances were long. I did decide against crossing stream/gully on the fallen tree.
Fairly quick find at GZ. completed signing duties and dropped off the Cache us if you can 7 TB. Then had to wait for a dog walker to go past before being able to make the replace - had a quick look at the oval as I was waiting for the dog to finish its business...

Clever hide, takes a bit of time to find. Took loom band left plastic sculpture thing.
Lots of hidden parks around here which only the locals must be aware they exist. Beautiful birds and wildlife. TFTC
Took awhile but I got it. I'm quite new to geocaching this find being my third, any tips for new geocaches?
Found on the way to the Hospital. Nice spot. Looked in a few places before cache was in hand. Thanks.
Was pleasantly surprised at how nice the walk through here was. Thanks for showing us this spot. Dropped a TB.

Any way came to find this to while away a few minutes before heading home.

Lovely walk along the track, great place for kids to enjoy, and an easy cache to find. Thanks for the Cache, had a lovely time finding it.
Took Japanese pin and left a lion, giraffe and hippo bracelet

Found with the help of two new geocachers (MadDog2076).
Nice one for the youngsters. Thank you.
Nice one for the youngsters. Thank you.
Went hunting with my nieces & nephews. They were so excited to have found their first cache. Thank you!!
We took the wrong way to GZ from the carpark so MrsFish waited while I took the short cut across the creek and found the cache. The right path could be seen as we returned to the car. Thanks for a good hide in a nice area, luckily deserted today.
I've walked all around this area with geodog so I knew the area and was able to make a quick detour on the way to the Central Coast to grab this one.
Left TB Monster Truck dog tag. The truck part was gone when I found it so sadly its only a dogtag now.
Cache in good condition. Lots of cute toys inside.

Good coords and the hint led to a quick find, the second place I looked.

Came back to split up the little people family at my girls request. I have to say, it made the cache a little easier to reassemble.
Found with the geocrew after visiting my dad in the San. The walk was pleasant and the cache was found to be in an excellent condition. Many thanks abbfab
Found on a Saturday afternoon when no one was about except a few playing tennis. A nice new cache and a clean new log. Left a plastic family. thanks for the restorstion abbfab. I also have a remnant stand of Blue Gums in my back yard in Pennant Hills. It was sad to see the rest of the valley turned into cheek-by jowl housing and all my trees family being cut down... at least there are some young ones coming through now to replace those lost. Give them another 100 years and they should be a decent little grove again!
Geo-Haiku:
Once I was a tree.
Now I am just so much mulch.
Let my sisters live?

We're sure we are in the right place and have checked pretty thoroughly but a DNF for this one today
Did a check and the cache is nowhere to be found, looks like its been muggled. Taking it offline until we can replace it.
Thanks again to a Geocach Owner which took us to lovely place we didn't know about.
Left Night Racer's Geocoin - this is a cache you could look for at night (with a torch or headlamp).
Also released a BookCrossing free book in the cache for someone to find and take away.

The recent fire on the other side of the fence was a controlled burn - see the attached photo from near GZ.
It is important for us all to understand the role that bushfire plays in the natural cycle of things in Australia.
First geocache, it was raining, ?again! No muggles about 5pm after school.

Out with evangt & footyfanatics today for geotrek 2013 event, thought we would grab this one on our way back home. Was quite wet due to the previous nights rain. Had to figure out a way to cross the rapids! Made our way the long way round, but got there in the end. TFTC
Found it on a humid Sunday after completing the Geotrek. We didn't have to cross the creek but there was still plenty of water around today. Nice cricket field and nice hide. TFTC
The Blue Gum Forest fire, what is the story? Was it a controlled burn to encourage the next generation or kids looking for a bit of fun. GPS took us straight to a spot where we quickly spotted the likely GZ.
I wish we had something to drop as caches large enough to leave things are getting rarer. Thanks Abbfab.

Never been to this area before despite living relatively close! Several choices of spots and a nice one found, thanks!
Wet day, slippery fallen tree to cross......hmmm. Tread carefully made it over, plenty of hiding spots to select from but I found the right one. On leaving I realise there is a path/bridge along by the road Tftc
I think it's been Muggled or moved by the rain.... Extremely hard... We'll come back
Relatively easy find - although had to do a pretend phone conversation for a muggle and her dog that walked past. Picked up my first trackable! Yippee!! TFTC!
Nice quick easy find...our eldest geodaughter spotted the hide before we even arrived at GZ...T4TC

At first we were worried that the recent burn may have got the cache, but all was well, and the hint was spot on. Thanks abbfab.
9/12/12 8:01 AM. Cache #289. Current streak: 91 days. Having another busy Sunday with and not much time to cache today (and a chance of rain in the afternoon), Yelyac & I got up early to get this (in my case it made for a park n grab streak-saver). We got the right log first up, then had to wait out a couple of muggle dog-walkers before we could put it back. TFTC
Good fun crossing the creek on the stepping blocks to get to the cache and on the big log going back. I found it in the right log. TFTC SL TNLN.
Another cache on big day out with Grandma
Nice little walk down to GZ, be careful of steps.
Hard to know which one its in but eventually cache in had. SL took Australian key ring and left bowling pin.
Nice little cache in a nice cricket oval.

You don't need to leave the path. GPSR was pointing at a good hiding spot in a large opening but not GZ. Left an Australian keyring. TFTC
We followed the track around the fenced area. The GPSr then almost had us down a steep bank down to the creek. We searched around for some time in all possible holes, before reading some of the previous logs. We then move the search area and finally found the cache, 13 metres away from GZ.
Found, after initially venturing off track a little bit. Found with krankyk. TFTC.

Today I was on a quest to reach 999 finds and this hide was first on my radar. Arrived at GZ and looked in a number of locations. I found a split in a rather large log and thought that must be where this cache was located. Alas, no so I inspected a few other possibilities and came across the cache's hiding spot. No muggles around much as it was sprinkling although there were some die hards on the tennis court. I've driven past this park a lot but never had the time to stop. Thanks abbfab for giving me a reason to come to this lovely spot. Now to find #992!!
