That is a well camouflaged cache! If we told you that one of us tripped over it would you believe us?! A really nice spot to view the station from. We enjoyed this cache albeit it took us quite some time!
#21021 - 10:00:00 AM; After a couple of nights in the Blue Mountains with the geohoney for a couple of days of R&R, we are now headed for Sydney for the last night of our trip. After breakfast in Leura, I managed to find this cache before we set off towards Faulconbridge for a Postcard Day Event as we passed through. It took a bit of finding, but after following the wrong line several times, I managed to bring this one in for the find. All in good order and replaced as found once I signed/stamped the log. A fave for the creative hide. TFTC pjmpjm
Tried this one so many times and finally logged it, I better say it was tricky but great hide!
Greetings from Wales. We are staying in the Blue Mountains for a couple of days on our Australia big trip so went with a mate's recommendation to hike the Grand Canyon trail and what an absolute cracker it is. Stunning scenery and fabulous views to finish after climbing the 1000+ steps from the bottom of the Canyon.Once back at out lodgings I took a short stroll to grab a couple of nearby caches. Sadly no luck in the gathering dusk so a DNF here.
Stopping at the pub for lunch, had a look for this one, found some fishing line at GZ but nothing attached
Found it with the kids while visiting for the school holidays! It was such a great hide, thank you very much!
Hello Y'all from Atlanta, Georgia. I love how you hid the cache. Gave us some ideas. SL DKGS. TFTC
TFTCSecond cache of the day and this was a very nice one, being able to see the train station, mall and the wonderful bush nearby felt like a treat, if you need some food theres a restaurant right there so have fun there if you go The cache itself is nice and easy if you want a P&G because all you need to do is poke around in the foliage and youll eventually get it but looking at that it more seriously its a really nice hide and is very muggle proof, plus it really just makes sense.Would recommend to park at the cafe before doing the one in the mall (if you are) because you can then take a path on the left to get to the mall and avoid that.. interesting parking
A quick P&G while out caching with great geo-mates. I had previously found this cache back in 2013. Thanks again for the geofun.
Out in the blue mountains with some mates this weekend. After grabbing a coffee in Leura, I slipped away for this cache. Took a little longer than expected but I got there in the end. No pen, so photo log. TFTC!
Wouldnt have walked this way if not for the cache and theres a few hidden eateries, and a Korean bbq place across the road Id like to try
Didn't bring a bloomin' pen for the log! Took a quick snap to prove I was here though. Very cool little hide too. ....../ ).....' /---' (_____.TFTC . ((__)..... _ ((___)....... -'((__)--.___((_)
First trip Down Under. Here visiting a few days before taking an obscenely large cruise ship to New Zealand. Took a Blue Mountains tour out of Sydney yesterday and stopped here for lunch. We didnt have enough time yesterday, so we took the train back today so we could spend more time here. We completed the AL, had a lovely lunch and tea at the teapot museum, perused several of the shops, and found two of the three caches we looked for before catching a train back to Sydney. The cache was lying out in the open. Tucked it away a bit better.Nice view! Thanks for bringing us here.May the Fog Be With You!
wow this one took some time. back and forth i went. i trusted in the coords and just kept persevering.got there in the end. it was probably the clouds or something. covering the suns reflective angle... or something. ....probably. i would've stopped by for a brew, but it was still before lunch and i'd just wolfed down an ordinary feast. thanks for bringing this cool old pub to our attention with a cheeky geocache!
A stop for lunch around the corner on our tour, and we ran over here to find the first of 3 caches. What a great hide style! Have only seen this more urban. Coords were as described in the description but overall they led me to it being closest to the host!On a 10 day trip to Australia, siting Sydney, Cairns, and Melbourne and getting some caches during the trip. Visiting from Chicago. TFTC!
My son and I looked for about an hour for this one but to no avail. Hope it's still here because we would love to give it another go asap. If anyone that knows where it is comes by here any time soon would love an update on whether it's here or not. Thank you.
A tricky sneaky nassssty little cache. Had me going back and forward as the light faded and I resorted to a PAF as I was dressed for Sydney weather not blue mountains weather.
Thanks for maintaining this one! TFTC

I’m back working in Katoomba and thought I’d grab a few caches while I’m in the area.
I’m working not far away and want to earn the Wheel of Challenges souvenir so needing to have at least a 2 day streak to earn this souvenir.
I parked close to GZ looking at where I am to look bring back memories of hunting for a Blundo Busters caches so I have an idea of what to look for.
I found a number of places where it may have been but there was nothing there. I looked for a while and as I was walking away the sun highlighted something I didn’t spot before.
Ah ha there you are. 20cm way from where I had looked.

Last one at the end of a caching day. Maybe a result of tiredness or cache blindness. I found a few items that matched the description in the logs and the listing but no luck for me today.
During our stay in the blue mountains we stayed in leura.
As a small evening walk we have made a cacher tour. Unfortunately we could not find this cache.

Even though it was still attached, the cache was sitting out on the pathway so the attachment is still in the same place, just not the cache. Second time lucky. TFTC
Very busy little spot, but very visible so we returned it to a less obvious location.
After reading the hint, spotted it straight away.
But wow, so many muggles!
Thanks for the cache!

Found It!
I walked over from the ruins cache. It took me a while to spot this one but it's quite obvious once you see it.

I had scouted this location once before without GPS device.
After carer's responsibilities reduced my finds in 2021 to a single cache and only one other in 2032 I am now back in the saddle. Sixth of eleven finds this afternoon.
I had been considering the exact method of hide when I noticed the container and confirned my theory.

After an amazing hike around Mt Hay this morning, we returned to civilisation for a well earned snack. We didn't find this cache at first, even though we had the right idea. Once we reduced our expectations, we were rewarded by getting our names in the log. Very sneaky.

After coming back from our successful raid on the new EC it was time for more refreshments and Crash and I headed for another urban cache. We had some ideas but couldn’t reel in a find and the past log photos of a mega bison plus the previous dnf log had us worried. PPE wondered where we were so we headed for refreshments and more of a read of old logs and a think. We came up with some ideas and the brain food helped as we came back and found the mega bison had shrunk but good to make the find and see a new dry log. TFTC.
With the most difficult rating this was the easiest to find. Out with Lurliners on a geocaching trip. Celebrated with coffee. Favorite Point.
I'll try to replace this cache on Monday or Tuesday when the car park is more quiet.
Despite the very recent log, this cache seems to have disappeared! Will have to arrange for a new container. Might take me a few days.
Found. Between 1 cache and the next, the heavens opened. Luckily we could see the cache, we just had to retrieve it. Log was saturated, but we signed & replaced it (not good drying weather today). No cache in Lithgow near the railway station unfortunately (hint)..... TFTC
Found didn't take long after waiting for a muggle to leave the carpark forgot pen
Cache is back in place. Sorry for the delay. I would have liked to use a 'small' container but didn't have anything suitable at hand. Will probably change over later. Not that it will make any difference in ease of finding!
Came back with WShoeii who has found it before but couldn’t find even though he remembers what it looks like
After three DNFs, I guess I'd better drive over and check on this one. However, it could well still be in place. It's my most difficult geocache.
Hmmm, thought I had the right idea for this one, but didn't get me anywhere. Too good for me today
We spent a considerable time on this one, but the cache was the winner on the day. Thanks for the cache anyway. We will be back to try again.
This one was pretty tricky, our GPS was pointing us to the wrong spot as well. One of us spotted something and there it was. TFTC!
Back in the area caching with friends. So decided to have another look for this cache. Success this time. TFTC pjmpjm
Quite a few years ago, we looked unsuccessfully for this cache, so it was good to finally change it to a smiley. Very tricky, only found by reading previous logs and thinking hard. Worth a favourite point TFTC pjmpjm
Finally replaced it, but with a smaller container than I'd like . . . please don't even THINK about climbing over the wire fence. It's not necessary.
I've just found a new replacement cache. It's wasn't easy! I hope to stop by today or tomorrow to put it in place. Sorry for the delay.
Sorry. This one was damaged beyond repair. Will be back soon with a replacement container and etc.
Tricky. Lot of cover at the moment. Searched for 20min or switch geofam. but no luck.
Couldn’t find it. Too many mugglers around to have a good look for the cache. Will come back next time to find it.
Damn. It took me awhile to spot the obvious but once I did I just couldn't retrieve it seemed to be stuck and then a carpark muggle arrived and it was game over. Shame, looks like a great hotel! Thanks anyway!
Found it! Came back for a second attempt and finally found it. Great hiding spot!
After scavenging at the back and forth it was at the original spot we looked. It was a great hide and had so much fun tysm
Today was beautiful weather so we went for a walk to the blue mountains. First we enjoyed the beautiful view at Echo Point and then we walked to the three sisters along the beautiful trail.
We then continued to Wentworth in the afternoon and have also visited Wentworth falls and walked the steps down in the gorge and we followed the creek
It was a beautiful place with steep sided rock wall carved out by the flowing water.
The nature is breathtaking and very beautiful
We have enjoyed the day very much
Thank you
