Nice to find a dry cache every so often. Plenty of layers meant this was a good cache to sign log and returned as found before muggler came out of the vineyard. Gave him a wave. Thanks for the cache.
On the case of the biggest Museum jewel heist in history! Locating a detective, briefed him on the case and investigated the scene collecting evidence. Finding fingerprints, footprints and shadows recorded on video surveillance - one by one fifteen stolen gems were recovered only having to find another 9/26 caches to solve the vault code changed by the thieves, return the jewels and close the case. One of only a few gravel roads driven this holiday nailing some park'n'grabs breaking into a new area held instore for a push over the border. Found the GZ and reached over. True to the CO's form the hide was soon in hand, although smaller 200ml jar with an unbagged logbook - all was tucked away in the cuddly thingy keeping the cache warm and dry. Thanks for bringing us here. Pinot Noir not so much, I like a fruity Cab/Sav or Merlot.

Quick park and grab while checking a few caches around Pisa Moorings, yep didn't know this road existed have passed lots of times! tftc
Quick find. Prompted us to find out a bit more about surveyor Thompson.
Took a couple of minutes to find, when we finally found it I kicked myself as we I had walked right past it without spotting the obvious. TFTC
#1253 - Must of gone down this road at the busiest time of the year! Cars going both directions non stop for about 5 minutes! After waiting for a lul, I quickly jumped out and grabbed the cache.

In Cromwell for a couple of days holiday so today was spent on both sides of the Lake. Nice quick find here TFTC
Very cute. Nice day for it. Great area. Hopefully one day it won't be all housing. TFTC.
First one is for many for this trip to Cromwell. My plan is to clean out all of Cromwell today but with no wind today so it's going to be a very very hot day. TFTC
pre tourist season check up. New lgf book and sharpened pencil. Container off the ground again.
Woke up in beautiful Wanaka on day two of my long, long weekend. Looks like it will be another beautiful day, which is such a change from the Manawatu - so nice to have the chance to dry out and not come home from a day's caching with soaking wet shoes and socks. And its nice to come across nice dry logs all day too - and not a brace or power pole hide all day - another miracle! The plan for today is to head towards Winton, gathering caches on the way of course! There's a challenge cache near home that I want to achieve on this trip, so I'm hoping to collect a lot of caches on different minutes.
Another quick find here this morning. Now to head to the next one. TFTC

Very clever cache! It will probably not be found at the exact waypoint due to occasional flooding. Just look around!
I was taking a break in Queenstown for a few days in between hiking the Hump Ridge Track and cycling the Otago Rail Trail and this afternoon took a road trip up to Cromwell and looked for a few caches while I was out and about. Looked in the wrong spot initially, but soon found this nicely hidden cache! TFTC!
Travelling around the South Island.
Looking at our wonderful home land.
Weather has been improving every day. Wonderful to travel.

Tftc took a few minutes but got it! Housesitting over at Pisa moorings and this was a nice morning walk
The last time we visited New Zealand in 1998, we missed the Milford Sound because of lack of time.
Now, as W is working in Sydney and C is visiting him, it was very close by.
So we decided to turn her visit into a small New Zealand vacation.
And off course this can't be done without a few geocaches.
A few turned into about 150 of them.
We started in Queenstown, but this time no bungy jumping anymore.
At the airport we switched the gsm-card to a NZ one, with internet access.
That way we would be able to check for recent logs and spoiler photos.
After we got our rental car we started the gps.
We're not used to driving on the left side of the road, but that was no problem with all the road signs.
During our last visit it was summer, now it was autumn.
The weather looked more like home, but we had our umbrella and raincoat with us, which we used a lot.
At the Milford Sound the rain was an advantage, as the rainfalls were huge.
Today was our best caching day, 25 founds.
this was one of them
We've seen this way of hiding this vacation before

After a nosey drive around for a look, a short drive led me to yet another clever hide.

Heading around the lower south island on a family holiday and we are going to pick up a few caches along the way. As many as the wife / mother will let us get away with. To save time and data, these logs will be shared and written by Roaming-Haywards and The Real Batman. This is the last day of the trip and we have been given the green light to grab as many as we can on the way home. This cache was a little side trip off the road but well worth it. What a beautiful part of the country this is. The cache was easy enough to locate but I had to wait for a farmer to move his sheep so took a few photos and tried not to look conspicuous. Must of failed, as he drove past he told me where the cache was. Thanks for the cache, RH and TRB

This was another of those laugh out loud moments when the cache wasn't quite where I expected. TFTC #7624
November in Europe, the dark month, neighter autumn nor winter: short days, rain, fog. Everywhere unlucky people.
But now we are in NZ. Early sunrise, mighty green and flowers everywhere. Happy cows and sheeps also. We delight look forward to such lovely challenge. Thank you NZ. Greetings from Germany, from the mountains of Harz. TFTC

We have met Mr Surveyor Thompson, or at least the results of his work, all round Otago, so were intrigued to find what the link was with this particular spot. Disappointingly, we found there was no map to be seen and there is no actual link here with Mr J T Thompson's work. It's a commercial exploitation of his name and history to advertise a winery. The interweb reveals that one of the winery owners (who actually has written some very good NZ history books) is one (of many) descendents of John Turnbull Thomson. That's the only connection... apart from there being no reason to have a cache here, it's a nicely done hide, thank you.
Down this way for a spot of work and Rep training through the region of Otago and central Otago. This is the second day for work and as we got in an early start It seemed only right that we knocked off at just before 5pm. Having dropped my rep off I stole his car and told him I would see him later. This was the 24th cache around town that I located in my tour of Cromwell via GC Codes.
as I have not spent a lot of time in this region it was great to get out and about to view the countryside.
THanks for the placement

Found with funkymunkyzone on a long weekend caching trip down south from Auckland. Something suspicious was spotted and the cache was quickly found from there.
Thanks!
Thanks!
What a funky little cache. Giving it a fave point for just being a laugh. TFTC!!!
Thanks for that. Log book seen better days, falling to bits, but still useable just
The short road is very corrugated but a smiley at the end of it made it worthwhile. Found with debsnz
Holidaying in the South Island, grabbing a few caches on the way. Quick find on a Sunday afternoon drive. Thanks for the cache.
