[My iPhone told me the wrong house. Just as well I discovered that before the occupant discovered me! But I couldn't see the cache even tho I knew what it had to be. So I went for a stroll and saw something lying in a garden bed. Aha. Rescued the object and confirmed my suspicions. I think it had been knocked from its original support place] so I left it standing behind the letterbox. [There is an icon now for front-yard caches and it would alert cachers who may not want to do that sort of cache, personally I'm all for them, provided I pick the right front yard!]

A great idea for a cache! Unfortunately it looks a little the worse for wear, so might need a little TLC. Wow, the streets here are steep! TFTC Big Grin

08-Jul-12
It is three years and one day since I last came to Brisbane and three years and one day ago I was in Jones Street finding a liammk cache. Here I am again and once again I'll score a find after raising the courage to pick up someone's garden ornament. Thanks liaammk, apologies for the late log.

02-Jul-12
Seemed easier than expected but it doesthat the neighbours are aware of the cache. Otherwise I normally don't like poking about in people's front yards.

03-Jun-12
Found today while in the area.

A little strange though locating a cahe in a front yard. Aftera qucik search the log was soon out and signed. After placing the cache back in place, the front door opens and the Co came out to jump in the car

Thanks for the Cache

Wahh, not a fan of front yard caches but I was already here, so onto the hunt. read the description and having parked a short distance away, headed in towards GZ. I spotted something likely but no cache, bummer. Walk away to avoid suspicion if any muggles were home (none spotted yet). A pedestrian muggle walked past so I detoured my pacing up the street. Another appeared so I turned another way to avoid arousing their attention. I finally got back and decided what I had looked at before had to be the cache so did a grab and walk. Yep, it came apart and there was the logbook. Signed it on my car and headed back in, still no muggles and replaced as found. That's a nice one to have gone from my map. TFTC.

Initially thought I had to go up the dead end one street back but soon sorted that out. Spotted something out of place pretty quickly and signed while the dog barked. Nice concept but I suspect it may require some re-engineering of it is to have a long and happy life. TFTC.

18-May-12
out caching with amelia and co. and gem83

I have seen one like this before, however it was on the footpath - and I felt like a stalker finding them both

Quick and easy find but felt awkward being so close to houses.

Nice quick grab, although I felt naughty being so close to these houses.

What an interesting container! Haha.

Also, the trackable listed inside at the time of finding is not there.

I liked this cache a good find, waved hello to the cache owner,

15-Apr-12
A nice quick find in the deserted street. Still kept our voices down so nobody would look out their windows and notice us. I had a think about the cache name as we pulled up and found the cache exactly as I had guessed. TFTC.

15-Apr-12
I have to admit, this one scared me. I hoped and hoped that the object we were tugging on wasn't some innocent neighbour's, especially when it came away in our hands. Eek! Happily, it had a TB squished into it and a logbook appeared shortly afterward, so we felt a bit better. TFTC, liammk. =^.^=

15-Apr-12
This made me nervous as I was hoping I wasn't removing something that shouldn't be removed but it fit my idea of what I should be looking for and so it was. Whew. All was well. TFTC liammk

Returned at lunch time with cache opening device. Signed log. TFTC and greetings from Canada.

Found while out for a run this morning. However, I couldn't sign the log. Will return to do so before leaving Brisbane tomorrow.

24-Mar-12
Not comfortable, but nothing stuck out for me so I moved along

15-Mar-12
Called past this one while working nearby. I was grateful that the residents didn't show themselves while I was there, and thankful that the cache was what I thought it was.
Great idea for a cache!

10-Mar-12
Enabled. Sorry for the delay. Life has been hectic with exams and such.

05-Mar-12
We have tried out best to make this cache closable but not in the obvious "this was how it used to be" kind of way. Maybe you could check if this is acceptable.

05-Mar-12
Hi Jimmy. Thanks for the heads up. I will fix it all up this afternoon. For now i have removed the geocache. Will back back within 12 hours.

disabled for maintenance. Will be back in 12 hours.

Surprisingly this seemed easier in broad daylight. Perhaps people were still watching and we couldn't see them - not sure.

Anyhow pulled up and looked at the house. What is out of place here, within seconds I was out of the car and had the cache in the car with us. Noticed that the bits holding the cache together seem to have been pulled and pushed one too many times and not much is holding it all together.

Due to the recent rain the log book was getting damp so we treated it to the smallest baggie we had (not very). Put the bag/log back but the cache top no longer meets the cache bottom. Found a bobby pin and created some "pins" to hold it all together. TFTC

Hmmmm your neighbours know hey? We arrived and the "student" house just down the road was in full swing and they sure knew we had arrived. Sat for a while but I think we became the entertainment as they all came out to watch.

We left without looking but will be back.

16-Feb-12
Found this one just after Christmas but totally forgot to log it. Thank Goodness the cache notes said the neighbours knew about it because that's by far the most conspicuous I've felt yet! Great cache idea. TFTC

12-Feb-12
Very clever hide. It was a little open when found. Signed dry log and made sure it was shut. TNLN TFTC Thanks liammk

31-Jan-12
Hardware Store?? Neighbours Know??? What are we looking for? There's something about being straight outside a house, even if you are aware people around may know what your up to, it's UNCOMFORTABLE. Anyway that aside very unique cache, no need for tools container may be broken or screws missing. TFTC SL

31-Jan-12
Name of cache - check. From Bunnings - check. A new type of container - check. (I could see it my mind...) Kids coming home from school to GZ - check - hold on - back up a moment. Prowling around grabbing what is property on private land - On No. Anyway wait, snatch, hide, sign and return. TFTC

06-Jan-12
Out and about early today for a few caches. Big Grin

Once at GZ I soon worked out what I was after. Razz I did not need any 'tools' to open this one...maybe some 'screws' have been lost [?]

Anyway, a cool cache. none the less Big Grin

Nice one. Quick find. TFTC.

16-Dec-11
We're looking forward to looking for this cache when we are visiting friends in March. Until then, greetings from Canada.

07-Dec-11
Found today @ 20:30.

It was dark and raining as I wandered past, grabbed the cache and retreated a suitable distance before dismantling, signing and reassembling. The cache name thankfully gave me a fair idea of what to expect but having read the previous logs I was quite prepared to make off with anything not nailed down in the front yard.

You should count yourself lucky the steps and mailbox are still in place Twisted

03-Dec-11
Out and about around the city with Lat&Long Junkie today.
This was a little out of our target area today but it was the only unfound one for me in the area.
We made our way there and saw it almost straight away.
Maybe it should be a night time only cache Smile
TFTC.

Sneaked 'round to your place today with 'bedmaker' and found this cache. I'd read the hint and knew exactly what was what as soon as we arrived at GZ. Nice of you to supply the tool too [^]. I would ask though, that you move to a flatter area before placing your next cache, or I'm gonna have to buy an electric bicycle [xx(].

We did some recon on this one a few weeks ago, so after work today we headed in for a very quick grab. Not only is this a front yard cache, but actually required some work to get into it. I would love to see this kind of cache in the bush

Yep, cringeworthy! But a very clever hide. TFTC

Ok this one had the cringe meter working overtime. This was a very clever placement though. Tftc

Great container, however I was a bit wary of grabbing it. No one looking...it shouldn't do that. Race back to car and extract the log book. (I'm glad it was in there, so I knew I had the right thing). Think I will have to make this a favourite. TFTH

22-Oct-11
i dont care how convinced we are that is the cache
i am NOT touching it

wish i could give you more than one favourite point
love love love this cache

14-Oct-11
Very sneaky. I lived in this street many moons ago so NICE to drop by. Now, how to make this work at night... TFTC.

07-Sep-11
Verrry interesting, but yes one does feel very conspicuous -I had two goes at this today-I was out cycling around and noticed that this cache was close at hand so decided to ride up and over, well just before I arrive I have the message 'battery low' -I did not make it and could not remember enough details so off I ride to find some new batteries-ended up at 'Officeworks'-a fair distance away. GPS refreshed and back to the cache , easy find using the name.

Ingenious or bizarre? I can't remember ever needing a tool for this kind of extraction before, but was glad it was provided. No-one around at 4pm today so I strolled up, made the grab immediately and took everything back to my car for analysis. Fortunately, I'd picked the right object to "borrow" temporarily.
I must say I don't mind the concept, assuming you don't mind visitors invading your garden. TFTC!

Brilliant clue and hiding spot, loved it !

22-Jul-11
As with a few others before me, I was a little uncomfortable grabbing this one and had no cover as I walked to this one. I found the cache but initially thought the log was missing, until I spotted something... Wink

I sat in the shade and opened my bag. Took a couple of things out and put them back etc while extracting the log and signing it. Then I had to drop the cache back in place which I think was more uncomfortable then grabbing... Surprised

All done though. You really like this spot don't you... Two caches within a couple of metres of each other... [^]

Cheers liammk.

17-Jul-11
Geez we felt conspicuous here. TFTC liammk

17-Jul-11
I can safely say I would not have done this cache if Lokipagan was not with me. As soon as I rounded the corner, I could see the potential GZ. Personally, I have issues with such hides. We searched for a while.. Loki spotted and retrieved the cache. Back to the car with it and signed the log. Loki returned the cache and we made a quick escape. Phew. TFTC liammk Smile

09-Jul-11
We arrived at 5:45am and figured there wouldn't be too many people up at this hour. A quick search along the garden and we spotted what we had been expecting, grabbed it and scurried away to the nearest street light. How are we supoosed to open that? Fortunately we had the right tool in the car.

And then we got muggled by a couple of gents returning home after a night out - we thnk.

We the log signed we returned it to its spot and noted that a tool had been kindly supplied but we hadn't seen it.

We thinks we have been to this very spot for another cache - but maybe not.

great hide

03-Jul-11
Just down the road from where I live! Smile Did a spot of recon in the evening but there were too many muggles. Had to come back at night. Excellent idea for a container though! TFTC! Smile

28-Jun-11
I spied what I thought would be the cache as soon as I arrived but my senses held me back from retrieving it. After I had plucked up the courage I nabbed it and then worked out how to get to the log book.

An interesting concept but I'm not sure how long it will before it is muggled. TFTC

27-Jun-11
Nice hide liammk. Got sprung by the owner when I did this on the way home from work. Probably better done later at night or maybe around lunch time. Terrain on the bike was about 4 stars. Would of gone for a ftf yesterday morning while I was out caching if I had got the publication notice that Goldie got, I'll have to find another source. TFTC SL

***FTF*** with Stairman1. Big Grin We saw this one pop up last night but we were midnight hunting for another FTF and did not get around to this one. We checked this morning and it was still available but had a day planned at seaworld. When we got home tonight, we had dinner and it still hadn't been found. "Right" I said to Stairman1 lets go and find this one. Wink. It needs a smiley Smile. We grabbed our torches and geodog and headed off to the said co-ordinates. There were some muggles across the road on the verandah so we we were wary about using torches. (Maybe it was the owners watching) Razz. Anyway the cache was quickly in hand. After a little bit of manouevering, a clean page greated us Big Grin. We signed the log and placed the little container back into its hole. A nearby dog heard us as we were sneaking away. A great container. This one is probably best attempted under the cover of darkness. TFTC

26-Jun-11
Found with Goldielover. Goldielover had been saying all day that we should try to get this one. After arriving home from seaworld and finishing dinner, we decided to attempt this cache. Half way there we discovered we had left our torches at home. Around we turned and grabbed our torches and headed off again. After pulling up another car also arrived and Goldielover rushed off ahead of me. We arrived at the GZ and the cache was quickly in hand. We opened the container to find a nice clean page. TFTC
