Found this one with TTO1 and TTO2 today. TTO1 and I are touring New Zealand with TTO2 for a couple of weeks and our travels brought us by this cache. So, we just had to stop and find it. Were really enjoying our visit and have been exploring lots of cool spots. Im sure that we will still have a lot that we didnt get to see on this trip, so I look forward to coming back again some time to see some more of this beautiful country. We definitely circled before finding this one. Thanks for the fun!
Travelling around South Island for 2 weeks while in NZ. Finding caches here and there. Found cache and signed log. TFTC

Was down in Dunedin with Net61 and Mr and Mrs Jag50 to attend the MEGA Event!Had a great time mostly.....My phone was playing up that day....couldn't even get c:geo never mind Wherigo .And I definitely don't run like a 10 year old any more ...just ask Mrs Jag.We were very fortunate to be helped by some other cachers....and soon found the container! All good here. Thanks for the Wherigo!
So cool to pick this up working our way to the event.Woke up to a fabulous sunny day. Day 7 and running around tidying up wants and needs. Down for the MEGA with Supernannny and Net61 collecting some caches on the way. We had a little help with this Wherigo and were soon heading to the final gz, where the cache was located in the first place we looked. TFTC
Back home in Taranaki after a massive 5 days at the Dunedin Mega with MrMuggleNZ and its time to start logging my findsall 226 of themso wish me luck. Only 2 DNFs the whole time we were here so thats a testament to the dedication of the local cache owners and their maintenance prior to this event. Day 4Its officially Mega day and today my goal is to re-visit Mega HQ, finish off the Albatross Series and also break my record of cough, cough 5 types in a day..I know terrible right!? I hope to double that today. This cache will go towards the wherigo type I need. Im not sure in this weather that Id be faster than a 10yr old so instead I was smarter than a 10yr old and made someone else run it for meA quick find in the drizzle. TFTC
Today is an exciting day attending our first mega overseas and touring Dunedin chasing labcaches as well as physical caches trying to keep as dry as possible on this wet day.Our first cache of the day had us completing this Wherigo with chooknchunk and signing the logbook before starting the nearest Labcache. Thanks stegan for the Wherigo placement.
My first Wherigo found with help from Natalie247 alongside Flaker2rule where we found we were in fact faster than a 10 year old! TFTC
#830 3:02PM Lots of run running along side Lord_asker patted a dogo on the mission. Hardest Wherigo I had to do. Fav point from me. Thanks for placing this cache stegan

We are four ladies from Sweden who are visiting Australia and New Zeeland We are logged as TULP This was one of the caches we found Thanks from Sweden
Four Swedish ladies driving around in Dunedin looking for caches and events. We log as TULP. Thank you
Hlsningar frn Sverige, sdra Lappland ???? Then it was time for a little adventure. The trip goes to Sydney in Australia ???? and then on to Christchurch and Dunedin in New Zealand ????.On the trip are, Tigertassen, myself, ursus67, Lnganfans and Pidjas go, which means that we log under the common name "Tulp". The idea is that before we go home we should have visited a Megaevent, Geo Toroa. Greetings from Sweden, southern Lapland ????
It's always good to get some different cache types when you can, and as this one was so close to GZ we decided to go for it.There were already some cachers searching when we arrived, but in the wrong spot.A quick find. Thanks for setting this up
In Dunedin for the Geo Toroa Mega Weekend with AbbyKitt,MrsHazzer, MrandMrsFraggle & Downsouthinv. Great day to get out, meet a gazillion of like minded people and see more of our country.
????MEGA WEEKEND CACHING??????Joint find with DownsouthInv, Annielin, Wombats_4, MrandMrsFraggle, MrsHazzar, Abbykitt and KNCN (together the group is known as SRT, Southern Raiders and all logs were signed with that name to save space and save time) busy busy day for the group from the south, but enough time to clean up some more solves/caches ??T4TC?? PS sorry for the gereric logs so many caches to do so little time ??
I was unable to get the cartridge to load which was disappointing as I was looking forward to going for a run. But managed to found it anyway. tftc
Day Thirteen of our epic New Zealand Adventure with The Morris. The Mega day today and we spent it around Dunedin. We spent the morning doing some AdLabs around the city, had lunch in the Octagon, then went north to Port Chalmers in the afternoon. Finished off at the Prize Giving event at the Mega.Glad it was only an average 10 year old! I know some very quick 10 year olds.A find after the event this afternoon. Thanks, Robmc.
Day 13 of our Enzed adventures with Robmc and our fourth full day in Dunedin and the weather is still challenging our caching aspirations. We spent the morning doing Ad Labs around town picking up the occasional physical cache as the weather allowed and then headed out to Port Chalmers to finish off what we started. Then onto the final event to say goodbye. It was supposed to be a quick find after the event but we were looking a long way away from where it was eventually located, must have creeped away a bit over rhe weekend. Thanks for contributing to the fun stegan
Out and about enjoying the gems of our country ??Here enjoying our first ever Mega, in Dunedin. Meeting lots of people, some are familiar. Getting out and discovering new places and putting more smilies ???? on my map with AnnieLin, AbbyKitt, MrsHazzer, DownSouthInv, wombats4, KNCN, and Tdronsfield aka Southern Raiders Team (SRT)
Up for the mega this weekend. Collecting a few extra caches not on our list. Phew pleased to get this one out of the way. Signed log as SRT southern raiders team.
It has been a while since I last did a wherigo so it took me a while to figure out where the final lay. Elephant tracks helped in the end. TFTC stegan
We are four ladies from Sweden on visit in New Zealand. We log as TULP (tigertassen, ursus67, lnganfans and pidjas). Today we visited some oldies and logged solved mysterys. The weather was much better than yesterday. We even saw a glimpse of sun. Like yesterday we found a caf and had coffee with some cake. Not as cosy as the one yesterday. Then back to the event, a bit late due to some (minor?) problem with the car.A big Thank You to CO for the cache.
Back to the event for prize giving. Well, as a 10 year old, I don't beat a 10 year old. Especially with the weather, and strong face winds we had on Saturday. On Sunday, we decided to give it another try, some people were kind and seeing me struggle and doing it all over again for a few seconds missed at WP10 kindly nudge the final for us. What a relief, I love sports, and running is cool, but yesterday I got so wet, my shoes were soaking. TFTC ??
Made our way back to the event. This one was a tough adventure. I downloaded the cartridge but of course couldn't get it to load properly. Went home and moved the folder on the computer. Now being able to access it, we started our run. At WP3 the cartridge froze and we had to do it all over again. I started saving it and we had to go back to the previous WP a couple times, as the cartridge froze on my phone. LoupLaVu was getting cold and tired too, after 300 m run under the rain, he decided he would stay in the car as he couldn't do it anymore. I continued, coming back to get WP10 I checked on him, and by the time I answered all his questions about why the heater in the car was not providing warmed air, the timer had run out, and I had to start all over again, as the last WP saved was 6. We came back on Sunday for the prize giving event. Sharing our story with someone, they were very kind to offer the final location as we had run enough. Quick find at GZ as we had the right approach. I need to understand why Wherigo keep crashing on my phone, it is very annoying.
Here in the land of the king white cloud to attend the mega in Dunedin. Many thanks to all those involved in the organisation! Today we targeted some of the DT puzzles plus a few unusual caches as extras. Much better weather and some scary roads . Travelling and caching as a group Qld+1. Cheers
I was pleased i had some one in our party who knew how to attack this wherigo and so on Sunday we were able to get to the final and locate the final.. All a bit a mystery now and after visiting so many cache there is a certain amount of fog surrounding them all. Many thanks for this new cache I am down in dunedin for the MEGA staying at friends for 6 days so quite a lot of caching has been achieved over this time . I certainly the caches out of town ie MOsgeil and karitane area more than the city caches as i dont know the city and its streets etc .
Day 6 of our NZ mega mega holiday with The_Tritonz: Finally made it to Dunedin and the Mega Event. We got saturated out in the rain, but it didn't dampen our spirits for caching. However we are not faster than a 10 year old so we ended up getting help from others to complete this mission. Thank you for this wherigo cache stegan.
Well, I used to be faster than a 10 year old. Not so much now. Luckily I know others who are, so this was not too much of a problem. Spending the day with Haydn.seek and Lions V Lambs seeing the sights that Dunedin has to offer, while down here for the mega. Normally I spend two weeks at a mega, but alas this time I have a big trip coming up and have to same my annual leave.Nice find at GZ, all good here.---### LET'S HAVE A BLOCK PARTY!!! ###On May 3rd, 2025, we will be celebrating 25 years of geocaching in **Rotorua, New Zealand** with a special **Block Party** event. Attending the Mega this morning.I teamed up with Agazo, Kiwimykl, NZDi and PaoloB72 for a walk in the rain.Three of us went for a run and reached stage 9 when the Wherigo decided to shut down. So, we did what we should have done in the first place and canvassed a local. A short walk ensued to sign the log.TFTC
A very busy start for the Mega weekend with geofriends from Qld and one from NSW. Teamed with Bluewattle, chamad, Wollaston, Willis007, kolour, Ardom, and all logs were signed as QLD+1.Most caches found today were in great condition, easy to find, and a credit to all the CO's that placed them for the benefit of the geocaching community.
Day 3 of my 6 day trip to Dunedin to attend the Mega and clean up all the puzzle caches solved over the last few years.Todays journey took us to the Mega and surrounds and then out towards the Albatross Colony and then back to Dunedin. Thanks for all the puzzles, caches, find, frustration and enjoyment. The rain had started to set in the final was 8m out from my co-ords. Found quickly before moving on.
With a MEGA in the pipeline, a group of us Marlborough cachers set about solving the Airplane, Albatross and other challenge caches in the area. This is one extra that we grabbed on the morning of the main event, after the pre-event.After travelling down the day before the day before yesterday, a 12 hour drive from Renwick, this was my third full day here after completing the Airplane and Albatross the days previously.Thankfully a couple of sunny dry days to be out and about. But, the rain had set in today. We got to stage 9 before being declared slower than an average 10 year old. So, we sought out some help nearby before an easy find here with the many others around.
With Gap (of Fap and Gap) Were here for Geo Toroa (Dunedin Mega). Between flight cancellations and re-routing, things could only get better, right? But wait, theres more! Somewhere on our caching escapades, I dropped my wallet (Tuesday) Its still at large, so if anyone finds itOne of us usually drives, the other is the retriever. That works for us. Weve either logged caches with our separate handles, or weve used FANGS to sign the logbook. Using the latter handle is more for mental health and well being. Its tiring having to write 15 + characters on each logbook Due to the weather, were also joining MDF - Our BoP Teammates. Are you faster than a 10 year old? (Mr) DC ran out of time, and my device crashed I happen to teach 10-11 year olds and the majority wouldnt handle this cracking pace. Dejected, we hit up the Sharkbait Boys for some intel, because we saw them sprinting. Got a solid hint from them and found the cache. Thanks stegan. TFTC.
I knew that I had no chance to complete the challenge so left it to others to get the final coordinates. The cache was easily found.TFTC stegan
After attending the mega Opening Event we ducked off to find this cache - our first Wherigo cache in NZ. Thank you. ??
A team effort with a few cachers waiting out the mega registration line.
CaptainVimes and I have crossed the pond to attend the Geo Toroa mega in Dunedin and tour around the South Island for two weeks. After registration, we wandered along the road and saw a suspicious bunch....Thanks stegan and happy caching
What a cache!, down in Dunedin for the mega event and may as well find all the caches in the area so I did the Wherigo, got it my first attempt. And headed straight to GZ with my wet clothes cause of the rain and found the cachd straight away, had a chat to some geocachers and headed right back to the car to get dry. Log all good and signed, TFTC
We found A Wherigo Cache (Otago) on a nice quiet weekend visiting Dunedin for Geo Toroa, meandering through the suburbs, seeking the occasional cache.A fun wherigo and quick find Thanks stegan for hiding this cache so that we could come and enjoy ourselves
Down here for the Dunedin Geo Toroa Event from the sunny Bay of Plenty,Tauranga and are with some of Team BoP. Great to get together with our fellow cachers. Signed Logs MDF. (McJandals,Davidson clan & NZ Flossy)I am logging using the Cachly App and using their template option which helps with my memory for logging. I genuinely thank every CO for their time and effort put into these caches. Much appreciated. ??????
Continuing with the battle with the weather we found and signed this one. Thanks stegan
A team effort here as I could not get the game to work. Managed to retrieve and sign the cache during a quiet moment. TFTC!
Caching with Aussies on Walkabout. Our group of McLookers, LuckyL10n, Sol de lune and myself today. We were chasing g a variety of caches challenges labs etc today.Weather cold and wet but cache was found following the wherigo experience
Found with Kiwimykl, Paolob72, Marchwood and Agazo. I'm sure their logs will be more interesting than mine, so refer to theirs.TFTC stegan
?????? Down in Dunedin for the Mega event. Travelling with Davidsonclan and McJandals. Really fun to be out and about with the team and catching up with other cachers friends m everywhere. Thanks to all the organisers and all the COs for some great caches. It is certainly a lovely area of New Zealand ??????TFTC ??????
Down in Dunedin for the Mega this weekend with McJandals and NZFLOSSY. Signed the log sheet MDF Thanks for the cache.
Came for the Mega and despite our flaky phone app, and with some help from a not-exactly 10-year-old found this little box. Thanks stegan.
After the event, three of us walked back along the coastline to St Clair Beach finding a few caches along the way including this one. Tftc
I couldn't get the cartridge to load on my Android phone. A few others had to do the hard part. TFTC.
Parked at the top, found it nearer the bottom. The wet weather today did not deter us.we got into a pretty good rhythm. The logs were signed Aussies on Walkabout or AoW. Caching today with Feathertop, Sol de lune and LuckyL10n.Thanks for placing the cache stegan.
Not much point standing in rain. Might as well go for a walk in the rain. Found in company.Thank you, stegan
Down in Dunedin for the Mega. Great to be back for another Mega 12 years after NZ's first Mega here in 2012. Finding a few caches with Boxhill and having a few laughs on the way.I have to confess to solving this wherigo by the 'cunning method' rather than the cartridge. After leaving the Mega we spied someone putting a container back in a spot where we didn't have a cache showing. So a quick investigation revealed the final to this one. Thank for the fun Wherigo! Thanks to the team for putting on a great Mega weekend, and also to all the COs for placing and maintaining the caches.TFTC stegan
Nothing like a bit of exercise in the rain on a wet field to get the blood flowing, especially when people were watching you from a dry clubhouse. Headed to GZ where we met a small gaggle of cachers. Signed the log and then a few of us moved onto nearby caches. Thanks for the entertainment!
We collected this one after the mega cito in the pouring rain. We first went to the wrong location but on going slightly further a field we located the rather easy find. By the time we were done we looked like drowned rats, but happy rats as this cache made fir 11 different types in one day.
Outnabout with Chamad, Snickersallan, Ardom & Bluewattle on my first ever trip across the ditch. Log signed as QLD+1 to save some space. After a week of caching around Brisbane and at events last month with other Geo friends, I couldnt pass up the opportunity to hop on board for a NZ Mega adventure. Another great day for caching. ?? TFTC stegan
Another of the targeted caches after the rain meant we wouldn't get everything we thought we would. The logs were signed Aussies on Walkabout or AoW. Caching today with Feathertop, Sol de lune and LuckyL10n.Many thanks stegan....good to get a Where I Go on the trail...
Juty Bug is attempting 10 geocache types in a day for a Challenge. After getting nine types so far JB & I grabbed this one in the pouring rain after attending the CITO. And this one is the last he needs. We then skedaddled home to change into dry, warmer clothes and eat before returning for the Mega quiz. TFTC
#21205; Day four of the GeoToroa Mega Road Trip with Sol de lune and our better halves. After a couple of nights in Queenstown, arrived in Dunedin yesterday for the Mega weekend. Today started with the Mega Opening Event and a nearby LBH before we hit the road with McLookers and feathertop for the Aeroplane series, followed by some challenge caches as well as a few in the Albatross series along the way as well. The weather was not kind with steady rain as well as the occasional heavy shower as we made our way around some interesting terrain, including some quite wet, steep and slippery dirt roads. Back in civilisation, after aborting our mission due to the wet weather, we gave this one a runn and came up with the prize. TFTC stegan
A Wherigo Cache (Otago)Dunedin MEGA Saturday! After a few days of exploring Dunedin as a tourist, it's time to focus on caching. Joining forces with some Queensland comrades, we hit the road, collecting great caches along the way. Signing our logs QLD + 1 to save room, we were pleased to see most of the caches had been recently maintained and enjoyed a great variety of hides and types.A massive thank you to all of the COs for the preparation, placement and maintenance of these caches. TFTC stegan# 10616CheersWillis007
Found with Gazania Rigens & wombatwandering, as per their logs.Running around in the rainMay, by some, be considered a painBut if the reason for your dashIs to find a special cacheIts better wetter to cool off the brain!??TFTC
#22883 @1805In NZ to attend Geo Toroa. Today was focused on old caches, types, and sizes needed for various challenges, as much as the weather would allow. Cache soon found while collecting rubbish for the CITO, having done the 'hard yards' earlier in the day. TFTC.
This cache has eluded me two times previously. Not today.I first tried this cache when it was named "Are you faster than a 10 year old?" about 12 years ago. It turned out I wasn't. Nor was I fast enough to run to my car and drive up the road and drive to next waypoint. Yes I did try and cheat 1MinnieMoo and I had better luck with the "doings" last year - but no cache could be found. Today, out with Crew 153 and Pprime, the cache was right where I expected it to be. We signed the log and returned the cache to its home.A great little cache. TFTC stegan
Out with woolwood9 attending the MEGA in Dunedin.SL *tm/ww NZ* or tm/ww or with one of the groups we met at many of the caches. We enjoyed the drive / walk around! ????*Thanks for the fun Wherigo cache.* ??
This is day three of my Dunedin Mega trip (and the actual date of the mega), the first time I've ever been here before (never mind geocaching). Obviously with such a plethora of caches to find there's going to be plenty I'll skip but I hope to find my targets.Unfortunately logging is going to be generic, but thank you to all the cache owners and event organisers for the things you do.Today I am certainly not faster than a 10 year old.All good here, and thank you to stegan for the placement of your Wherigo Cache.Find #7263 at 26 October 2024 10:45am
That was a nice wherigo, was running nicely on iOS A lovely Mega to attend to and thanks for all the new released caches (plus all the ones which are waiting a bit longer to be found) was fun to find them, though mostly I just cued up to sign the logbook Tftc
An opportunity to solve this wherigo and find the cache while in the vicinity having been at the mega. Thanks for the cache

Together with 36 other geocachers, the KiSt team undertook a very long trip to Australia ???? and New Zealand ???? for three weeks. On both the outward and return journeys, there was a stopover in Doha, the capital of Qatar ????.We experienced a great deal on this trip and gained many very different impressions of the two countries, their nature and their culture. Of course, the main focus was on visiting as many caches of as many different types as possible and also all accessible old cans. However, we also made sure to visit many special places of interest and to gain as comprehensive an impression as possible of nature and its flora and fauna. To save the logbooks, we usually signed in with our team name **Downunder24**. For "special" cans, however, we have not missed the opportunity to leave our nickname as well. This beautiful cache is now also one of our finds.Due to the large number of caches visited, it is unfortunately not possible for us to write an individual log for each can, which is why we would like to apologize to the owners for this collective log.We also met other cachers at some of the events and were able to share our experiences. Many thanks to the event owners!Of course we would like to thank all the owners for showing us the great locations, the sometimes tricky puzzles, exciting multis and wherigos, as well as the interesting virtuals and earth caches - TFTC!!!---In der Besetzung KiSt unternahmen wir zusammen mit 36 weiteren Geocachern fr drei Wochen eine sehr weite Reise nach Australien ???? und Neuseeland ????.

Danke fr diesen Geocache. Danke fr die Ausarbeitung. Danke frs Zeigen.Lieber Gru aus Duisburg / DeutschlandAndyDieser Logeintrag wird mit Hilfe von Google bersetzt.__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________We set off on a long journey with 37 geocachers from Germany, Denmark, Luxembourg and Switzerland. An exciting time. When geocaching, the focus was on many different cache types, but also special ratings, challenges and especially a few very old caches from the years 2000 and 2001.
