Logs
Due to the number of vandalisms that this cache had endured I feel that it is time for it to be archived
Didn't find it, unless it was the plastic case, which if it was has been destroyed and vandalised.
Been vandalised needs new log. Maybe camoflage it a bit better, high muggle area. Second find of the day with nyochi.
Found it! We were in Balnarring for a 3 year old's beach party and a few caches on the way home. This was one of them. A quick find. TFTC SL
Have ridden a section of this path (Tyabb to Hastings) in the past but must return to complete the entire length
Many thanks to Lisette for the cache and reigniting the passion

Staying in Sommers for a few days I had time to go for a few of the local caches.
Afternoon drive for some of the Jack Speak caches and a few more today.
Easy drive in cache here!
Thanks for the hide

Driving around the area. Geotoddler made me play at the playground first. Tftc
Been meaning to get out to replace container for ages but haven't had time. Should be down that way for a function on 23rd so will do it then.
The GPS was indicating 7mts but no matter where I went it always said the same. In the end we resorted to good old caching logic: where would we put it? Sure enough that was all that was needed and the cache wS located. Didn't gave our cache first aid case in the car so we couldn't repair the damaged case. Best we could do was wrap it in a bit of plastic and hope the CO gets to it before it rains. TFTC
First find and a nice easy one--and no huntsman today. But the container is broken and needs urgent replacement. Didnt have a pen so didn't sign. TFTC
Nice easy find while on a long (and rather wet) bike ride from Mordialloc to Flinders. TFTC
I was heading to the Red Hill Express series and picking up some caches along the way. Immediate find in the obvious place. Thanks to -Lisette- for the cache.
Taking a break from the Jack Speak series. We parked near the skate park and took a short walk over to the GZ. Soon found the cache complete with added security (huntsman spider)! After some careful negotiations the spider agreed to let us access the cache! TFTC

Breaking up the Jack Speak Series we parked by the skate park and made a short walk aross to GZ. On Arrival we found a Huntsman guarding the hide but after moving him away the cache was soon retrieved signed and returned. TFTC
We stayed in the area overnight to visit our son today at Somers Camp. What a lovely area. We all feel very relaxed caching today. (it has been a while). TFTC!
Out on a trail today and this is one found on the way. TFTC

It might be dark but we found it.who needs eyes wen u can feel for it spiders or not.
Down on the Western Port side of the peninsula again today hunting down caches. I started in Hastings and looped down to crib point and back through Balnarring. 36 caches for the afternoon and a couple of DNFs. It was a pretty nice afternoon to be out and about. Thanks to all the COs for the placement of the caches.
Arrived at GZ and once I got past my dislike of spider webs the cache was in hand.
Thanks

Parked quite close but thn walked in a circle hile our GPS tried to decide where it was under the trees. Eventually sorted itself out and once in the GZ the find was quick. FTC
Down on the peninsula for Noelle04's son's wedding so slipped out for a walk and some caching while here. TFTC.
A nice day for a bike ride and lunch at Balnarring . Decided to find a cache . A very quick find. Couldn't fill in the log as I forgot my pen. Thank you.

After GPS finally started to behave (what's up with iPhone4 at the moment…) we made the find. Good thing we read the previous logs giving a heads-up about a spider - luckily we didn't see any, but it helped us know where to look to find the cache. TFTC
Busy little spot. New where to look but do you think I could catch a break? Finally got my chance and almost missed it. Signed it quickly and then had similar problem returning it. TNLNSL. TFTC. Kems
The League of Rather Extraordinary Gentlemen mustered once more: two of the three foundation members and a couple of prospects.
Thus set out Starruby, Shogun (formerly known as Kellyhaunts), Rigger64 and Biggles1024 on the Red Hill Express Trail. The weather was fine, the company jovial, and many fine hides were found. We had a leisurely hike from Red Hill to Merricks, and I vowed to return with the kids on pushbikes.
Unfortunately, I am logging this great series months after my visit, and as a Basic Member (expired Premium ) I don't have the benefit of being able to read the cache description to jog my memory for the individual caches. Needless to say, the entire series was great fun and achieved in great company. My thanks to all the cache owners for laying out this great series. I will return with the entire family for an adventurous bike ride in the future, now that the youngest is off training wheels!

Find #714
Starruby, Rigger64 and Shogun and I assembled to this morning to launch our assault on the Red Hill Express Trail. Great weather, some terrific hides and great company made for a very enjoyable experience.
Having completed the series, we then proceeded to find a few more caches as they presented themselves to us.
This was one that I hadn't found. A quick find and then we were on our way.

We were at the park waiting for a cuppa and quickly ducked off and found this cache while we were here. A nice quick find today but had to contend with the gaurdian spider of the cache, but otherwise we had no problems. TFTC.
We stopped to have a cuppa here, but since I'd forgotten to brink milk, the Moose headed off to the nearby shops while Happy pants and I grabbed the cache. We thought we'd be muggled out, but thankfully they got up and left as we walked past them. Thanks for the hide.
Fun morning out caching with Tony66. Rain holding off log very wet, just signed as R60 TFTC SL
This would be a nice cool shady spot on a hot day. Wasn't to hard to find. Thanks walenators FTC.
We had planned to come down the eastern side of the Mornington Peninsula today to look for caches in the Jack Speak series. However, we could not ignore other caches along the way. Accurate coordinates and few options on the vicinity for a hide led to a quick find. The cache and it’s contents were in good condition. TFTC walenators

A quick stop off after a few school holiday days in Somers an easy find and a quick continue before the rest of the family catches up.
Our thanks again

Got out of the car to look for this one and there were two very curious little muggles hanging about. they turned out not to be muggles but members of the Henderson clan (see next entry). Picked this one up rather easily as I had come across this type of hide before. TFTC
*LATE ENTRY*
A nice simple hide BUT ...... muggles hindered a quick retrieval - after a 10 min wait I finally managed to make a safe retrieval and return.
Many thx for the hide

On the way back from an unsuccessful look for a mystery cache, we pulled up under the pines and a quick search was successful at 11:50. TFTC
We had cycled from Somers to climb Arthur's Seat and on our return had a coffee and muffin at a Balnarring Cafe nearby before we split to go our own ways. This was too good to pass up.
Thanks and cheers!
Thanks and cheers!
Quick find in the first place we looked for it. The log was wet but we dried it out in the car before returning it to it's hiding place. Nice location. SL.
