Unfortunately the coucil have closed the track, and taped it off and signed it as closed.
Following on from Ferg's B I found the spot but it is totally inaccessible because of fallen trees and being fenced off. Shouldn't this one be temporally disabled?
Almost gave up with the geokids getting frustrated. GPS going all over with the trees. Ta
Nice little walk along a supposedly closed path. Cache found by geo-mother who came along for the stroll. TFTC.
Found with Captain Terror after a mountain hike nearby with some fellow cachers.... the Captain and I thought it was a good idea to do some more crazy hill climbing with our very weary legs... not one of our brightest hours
We found the co-ords were quite out but found the cache with the use of the other co-ords posted
dropped off a TB to continue its journey

Headed home after a strenuous hike and I noted this nice bunch of caches too close to ignore so decided to grab them all. Maybe traipsing all over this hill after that hike wasn't the greatest idea I've ever had. Whint and I had followed the tracks to this spot and with the GPS indicating I was on it, started my hunt about all sorts of likely spots. Whint whipped out her iPhone and checked to find alternate co-ords, plugged these in and that made a huge difference. We headed a little further up the hill and sure enough, those co-ords were spot on. A lovely area and a good view from the proper GZ. TFTC Fergclan
We came upon a sign "Walkway closed. Please use other footpath". There's only one other footpath here and that leads to "Where are we?", so, we drove off to the other end near Tugan Hill Ferg,s End B and came upon the same sign . Oh well perhaps we wont come across the problem from this end now that we are here. After a mighty trek up an down, up and down, and some more, we came upon the cache, SL, rested some (old bones), and reversed the trek. Thanks for the exercise Fergclan (we think)
Couldnt find this micro cache in the highly complex bush environment with an under-performing GPS and no hint! Guess im still a novice! Thanks for bringing me here though!
After three days of persistent rain we thought that this area would be took muddy underfoot to wander through looking for caches. We were very pleasantly surprised that, even though it was damp, the walking conditions were very good and we decided to tackle all the caches in the area. This cache was a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. TFTC Fergclan.
Not to be deterred by track closure, moved onto, these 2 in the area, enjoying this bit of bushland. Thanks Fergcian
Out and about down the coast way today grabbing a few caches.
What a great little path along the side of the highway. And the effort gone into the stairs and path. Awesome. I spied the cache position because there was a pen left on the ground nearby. I done this often enough so I scored a pen back.
The cache is dry. Thanks for the cache.

Quick and ez find used new cords and it was right there! left tracking bug took nothing tftc
Didn't rely on my GPS for this one. Ground zero was some metres away. Stood and looked around and headed for where I would hide a cache. That worked! TFTC
Because I like to do everything the hard way (NOT), now I'm going to do this cache A after B.
While walking we came across a goanna and he was a big guy too (please see photo attached). This made this walk a little more special.
Found cache, signed log and back we headed. Mr Goanna had disappeared in that small amount of time we had gone, but we won't forget him in hurry.

Well the Girls are all having a day out down here and I am chauffeur and there are caches all around me so I'm happy to go and get some smileys.
4 Tugun's down 2 to go!! I won't revisit the agony in text but see End B, 1, 2 & 4 if you're interested but I finally puffed my way to here.
With the mistakes of End B in my head I immediately (but only after first searching for a few minutes LOL) read the logs.
Lucky I did as this one is also out of position so putting the new coords in my GPS and I head in the right direction only to be met by 2 Magpies would were not too pleased that I was there as much as I was that they were. Anyway they decide that my size is greatly superior to their bravado and they move.
Cache was visible at adjusted GZ so I concealed it better on return to spot.
Thanks Fergclan TFTC SL TNLS

Thanks to L&L Junkie for the co odds. GPS was all over the place and the mozzies were eating me alive. Great hide.
If we had followed the GPS we'd have been searching all over the place but once it settled we had the cache in no time. The mozzies were out in numbers also wanting to settle. A quick sign and moved on. TFTC
I happened to be in Coolangatta on business, so when finished I turned the GPS on and came up with a little cluster of caches just asking to be found. Stormy weather but there was a brollie in the car so I decided to brave it.
For some reason this path is fenced off at both ends. I couldn't find a reason for it. The path is in good condition. Maybe there had been some flooding previously.
This was a quick find. The Kookaburra told me where to look Enjoying the bush walk even in the rain.

Nice hide, enjoyed the walk. Had a few sweeps at this one before putting the gps down and just having a look around. Thanks.
Only located this cache after reading previous logs. My GPS had me off the mark by 10-15 metres. I was looking on the wrong side of the path. Once I had my bearings I had the cache.
Thanks
Thanks
Happy New Year Fergclan and thanks for the cache.
I was in the area with Fangsoki so I convinced him to revisit these caches. I took the lead and found this one pretty quickly that Fangsoki was still on his way as I opened it up.
Cheers Guys.

Quite enjoyed the walk to this one with M-Dolphin, we met with previous finders and were warned of a small brown snake at the cache site. TNLN TFTC
Oh, Mr Fangsoki, how I love thee!!!
While doing our initial search, some of the neighbours brought their visitors to see the land slip. Fortunately they didn’t stay long. Cache found easily after the new co-ords were entered. We certainly wouldn't have widened our search THAT far without those updated co-ords. . TFTC

It took us a long time to find this one. Only after reading previous logs that mentioned more accurate co-ordinates did we find ourselves signing the log. So glad I had all the previous logs on hand. It must have been quite exciting for the nearby residents when the hill decided to slide away. No such excitement today, just a lovely view, so we spent a while gazing out over the very noisy highway.
After arguing with the gps and the mapping that had us driving needlessly kilometers out of our way it was a relief to
Follow our own noses and find our way into Tugun for the ones in this area!!! Must agree I do think either cache creep has afflicted this cache badly or the coords are out. We did find it and re hid it nicely where it was. Thanks for showing us this pocket of
Bushland steep steps and all!!! We put about ten swaps in to
fill up the container!

This one proved a bit of a challenge. After searching for a while goldielover read the logs.Co-ords out a bit, now where? Goldielover soon spotted it further up hill from where I had been searching. While signing the log we were getting eaten by some very big mozzies. Lets get out of here, still more to find

This one had us stumped for a while. After searching for a while we widened our search and I soon the had the container in hand. We signed it and then moved on as the mozzies were eating us alive [:(!]
Found fairly easily, thank goodness on the UP side of the big landslide!! TNLN but swapped the pencil for one with a sharp end! Thanks Fergclan.
Should have read the logs first about alternative co-ords. It ended up being one of those things where you stand there and try to think 'where would I hide a cache here'. Soon had it in hand. TFTC
Took much longer to find this cache than we would have liked. Knowing that coords are a bit off is one thing but which way? We were looking on the wrong side of the path at fist but Mrs Herbz finally found it; but her smile didn't last long when she dropped her iPhone on a rock and broke the screen. Oh dear, Mr Herbz's next challenge - fix a broken iPhone. TFTC though.
Dropped the wife off to do some shopping, and i would do some caching for a few hours

all these caches were a good work out

I had the pleasure of meeting Fergclan recently so I was happy to do these two new caches. These finds were a little more involved than I thought. Back into the nice forest at Tugun.. up the stairs.. too early in the morning for this caper!
I eventually got to GZ. Found a likely area. No.. Hmm. Check the logs. Someone mentioned the co-ords seemed to be out - my GPSr tended to agree. I soon had the prize spotted. It is in good condition. I have posted the co-ords that worked for me on this one. TFTC Fergclan

Co ords about 10m out by us and (spoiler alert) cache only about 3m off track. Steep hills not what I'd be warning about. Mrs j glanced at GPS just going up a step and saw a green snake on 2nd step away. Reactions of both mrs j and snake were exact mirror images. Hands up, aaargh shouted and backward jump. Snake was immediately invisible under leaf litter. Mrs j had thumping heart and wobbly knees for next 20 mins and didn't leave the track again. There were lots of steps but what beautifully constructed ones - loved the red stone. NINO TFTC
This was a nice walk up the steps [ OH how i love stairs]
sat down rubbed my KNEES to get them mobile again the other half found the cache
S/L/T/N/L/N thanks for the cache Fergclan

Finally found - this time back with geo kid - looked again for ages - no luck - went on to Ferg's End B - found this one, then returned to GX - or what we thought was GX - getting very frustrated at this stage - gave up and was on our way back to the car when we spotted some unusual - FOUND!!! - finally satisfied - search appeared to be quite off the coordinates
Got home at 3pm from geocaching with daughter in the Tweed, only to log on at home and see there were 2 new caches at Tugun - quick kids - in the car - off we go to see if we can be the first.
Arrived at 4pm and proceeded to look and look ....and look. Getting frustrated we headed off to Ferg's End B(with no luck also)
I was annoyed with myself that we had no luck - this was relieved when we arrived home and logged on to see the cache had already been disovered 1 hr before we were there.
Will be back tomorrow to look again

Having started with Ferg's End B we headed, reluctantly for 2/3rds of us, for Ferg's End A. We arrived at the presumed GZ and started the search. About five minutes later who should come wandering down the path towards us? Two of the PPTrekerz clan. Now the race was on in all seriousness. Again, with the tree cover, GZ was fluctuating. We were giving it good effort all around widening the circle. Not long later Mr PPTrekerz came up with the cache! Congratulations guys on making the ftf. We added our signature and left a trackable. The trackable is wanting to make headway travelling the hemispheres. Please, PLEASE, if you take it, place it soon in a safe cache for moving along. A few other trackables visited with us here too - fresh from the USA.

Surprised no one had attempted this one sooner. The right opportunity arose for a short trip down the busy road to see if we could secure a FTF. Arrived at gz only to find Aussie Liahona and clan already searching - all this time published and we both turn up at the same time! iPhone was a bit scrambled under the tree cover, but after widening the search area it was found - wow a FTF! Thanks Fergclan. Logged at 3pm. Grabbed the trackable.
