Today the geocaching plan for Taurus Six and I was to head where there were three first to finds to be had. For the last several weeks we had noted three new first to finds on the Tin Horse Highway outside Broomehill. We had other plans in the last couple of weekends so we had no opportunity to head this way. We could not believe that they were still not found as we neared this weekend. Therefore we hatched a plan that if they were still not found by Friday evening we would set off Saturday morning in this direction. It was a nice drive down from Bunbury through Donnybrook, Boyup Brook and Kojonup. Knowing we were going to be looking for micro nanos on tractors did not fill us with joy , you just never know with big machinery and tiny geocaches how long it might take . However all in all they were predominately nice and easy finds. After we collected the first to finds we headed to Gnowangerup to clean up caches there before heading across to Tambellup. We then decided to head to Mount Barker to the Adventure Labs that had been placed since last we were there and of course you cannot go to Mount Barker without going to the Bakery . Once we had cleared up caches in Mount Baker we headed back up the Albany Highway collecting a few more caches along the way before turning off at Arthur River and heading back to Bunbury. All in all a fabulous day in rural WA collecting geocaches. This was our ninth cache find of the day in this quaint little town . Very interesting structure and area. The native flowers were out in full bloom. Good hint led to a quick cache find . Thanks for the cache DSHS BRWA
The sky is blue and it looks a lovely day but oh boy the wind is cold. Was regretting leaving the beanie in the car! Cool tower here, and a nice straightforward find of the well hidden cache had me back into the warm car and to my beanie! Today was Gnowangerup down towards Denmark day. Leaving Gnowangerup it was a day of caching towards the select caches picked out. The roymerc caches had been highly recommended and called me for a visit. Sure was pleased we went, the quality and fun was worth the trip and experience of visiting them. Denmark has always been a favourite place of mine, so it's great to revisit and enjoy this beautiful area with it stunning scenery and a few nice walks. Dinner picked up in Denmark, it was out of town for a free camp. Nice quiet place by a creek, surrounded by power trails and a mild night quite good for a walk in the moonlight to collect a few. Quite unusual to hear so many birds at night, the magpies singing quite late. I've never heard them quite like they were here, nice though. Thanks for your cache.
Another long trip around AU over the top end with lots of detours. Now heading back east across the Nullarbor.TFTC. Nice quick find.
13 degrees.... feels like 1. Consequently we weren't committed to a long search. MrG cottoned on to the hint quickly while I was still trying to connect the keywords to something... anything.. I didn't get the hint till the cache was found. TFTC DSHS BRWA.
Out and about again, gone down south for the weekend and managed to get Friday off to make a long weekend out of it. Grabbed a few caches today, a little cooler but stayed dry. This is 15692.Thanks to DSHS_BRWA for the caches we found.
WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 25 - Cranbrook to Nyabing via Tambellup, Broomehill village and Katanning. I started with a tough multi, then did lots of roadside caches until Katanning and then started to explore the town also whilst doing a set of labs. The last part of the day was heading to Nyabing and a fantastic show ground camp ground, with under cover caravan parking. I watched yesterdays Grand Prix and am now sitting having dinner at the local gathering spot, not a pub called The Hub. Off to Kulin tomorrow and a series I have been wring on for some time but did not expect to get to, the Tin Horse Highway. After a good look at the structure, I eventually worked out what the clue meant and was happy to locate the cache. Some nice features along the verge to the railway. Thanks for the cache DSHS_BRWA46854.4 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2018 Community Volunteer Tag A#397**Albida**
After an unscheduled stop in Albany overnight due to battery issues, it was time to head home. With a warm coffee in hand, we departed Middleton Beach express for the Mount Barker Bakery. The bellies were fuelled up with a warm pie and we began the days caching with a stop at the Mount Barker Cemetery. The plan for today is to head north via the Great Southern Highway.Took us some time to locate this very well hidden cache. We went round in circles, and eventually read a log that said follow the hint. Sure enough, the very precise hint when focussed on was what was required. Said piece of wood was excellent camo. Cheers DSHS_BRWA! Join us in Augusta, in Western Australias South West, for WA Goes Big 2024 (GCAGV8Y) on Friday 20 to Sunday 22 September. Log your will attend now!
Found during my trip back home to SA after touring the southwest of Western Australia for almost four weeks, including a 5-day visit to Albany. Thanks for the cache DSHS_BRWA!
On our journey throuh Western Australia we are able to find this Cache. Thanks to the owner.
After parking our geocamper in the RV park, we strolled down the main street for the reasonably quick find.

Day Six: Nyabing to Kojonup, via Mount Barker.
Weather: Deteriorating!
I think I got lucky here, plenty of hiding spots! I thought that the hint was a bit confusing! Nice looking town.

Sad, as I've had a tough day of hitchhiking, and I could have checked off another LGA. 15 minutes of searching yielded no luck
Found after following previous logs and ignoring gps once within about 10 metres .
Nice little town .

Great old structure. As with other comments, the coordinates are way out, but the hint was great fun to figure out.
Easy little find on our way home today, the coords were a little off but the hint was very helpful TFTC
One of our targets for this trip to Western Australia was to attempt some challenges, in particular The Great Southern Challenge, The Great Southern Challenge II and The Regional Cacher Challenge III. Today we focussed on visiting as many LGAs as we could in a day and to find at least once cache in each of them. We were fortunate to visit 7 LGAs and find more than one cache in each of them.
The hint was a great help in locating the cache as the coordinates wanted us over 10m away.. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks DSHS_BRWA for the cache.

Found after a short bit of hunting the hint throws you off but Don't give up its close by tftc
Once we ignored the coordinates and concentrated on the clue a quick bit of detective work solved the puzzle.
Found on the way home from WAGB 2021 with I C Nothing, Meme28 and Burns345. Logs signed as MIKB.

Out with icnothing meme28 and kapelula on way home from WAGB21. Nice Sunday be it Monday drive. TFTC
Caching with Kapelula, Meme28 and Burn345 on our way home from the WAGB event. What a great weekend of caching. Our aim for this weekend was to collect our solved puzzles , caches that worked towards one of the many challenges we are after and anything else that took our interest. Caches were found in great condition. Logged as MIKB
The Better Half and I had an early start from Katanning today which meant that the first few caches were done in fog. This cache was the second cache we got to after leaving Katanning in the dark.
Cache found without problems once we ignored the ground zero given and concentrated on the most obvious object, Log signed and cache returned as found.
Thanks DSHS_BRWA for placing this cache for us to find.

Quick find here though the lid of the container had totally disintegrated. Replaced with a camo mint Tin. Nice piece of history here. Interesting to see the flood marker levels nearby. TFTC
Found on our way through Tambellup. Needs maintenance, but log is still dry.
Mini-me found this one super quick. The lid of the cache was damaged but with nothing to replace it we rehid it as it was (hopefully the log stays dry). Tftc.
Found while exploring different towns of the Great Southern. Enjoyed the history on offer in Tambellup. Thanks for the cache.
Tftc didn't bring a pen unfortunately hope pic will be enough beautiful spot
Thank you! I headed out on a super large day trip to find some caches I've had my eye on, due to their age or LGA, or because they contained clues for other caches. I left before dawn and was home after sunset, but saw so much of the countryside. Happy to make the find here, though it did require a number of circles of everything.
We have had a fantastic trip over East, following the Murray River this year.
We camped at Tocumwal Town Beach for a wonderful week before the Clear Water Event.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the area, doing day trips out to Finley, Echuca and Cobram.
We loved the tracks through the forests, spotted 9 Koalas eating happily away at their gum leaves )
We are nearly home after crossing the the Bass Strait, we had made it across to the Apple Isle safely, having a month there to explore )
Then back to Melbourne and the outer suburbs, then on to the wonderful Snow Country.
We followed the Silo Art Trail towards South Australia.
Finally the Nullarbor, a long and interesting drive, now, with a quiet few days camping on the Blackwood River, we have the opportunity of catching up on a few missed logs with photos from our travels.
We found your cache tucked away nicely and with signing duties done and dusted we replaced the cache as found.
Thanks to the CO for sharing this wonderful spot where we thoroughly enjoyed our trip up from Albany, through the mountain ranges to camp at Ongerup and now going through Tambellup.

Mr Beetle made a quick find here while I was still wandering around trying to get some workable coordinates.
Then it was a quick tour of this little town before heading further south.
New power poles were laying everywhere so I guess there's going to be a bit of activity in this sleepy little town soon.
Thanks.

We picked up our first cache in Narrogin then went to Highbury, Wagin, Dumbleyung, Katanning, Broomhill, Tambellup, Frankland, Pemberton, Bussellton, Dunsbourgh and finishing off in Bunbury. A bit of a road trip with Kyzabra today the main aim to pick up some of the feeder caches for the Roaming WA and Discover WA caches by WanderingAus and hopefully claim a find on the former. After about 11 hours and 740 k's we were back with a hatfull of smileys and the main targets being crossed off.
While doing the nearby multi we just had to grab this one as we went past.
DSHS_BRWA I found your cache at 11:55am, this was the 9th of 13 finds for me today and brings my total find count to 4290. The cache was in good order and I replaced it as found.
