Logs
Despite the hint from La Vista (both logged and in person) I couldn't find this one.
The landmark is a beautiful looking brown trout, like many we recently caught. My non caching fishing mate spotted the cache first it was about 17m away from GZ but in an obvious place. TFTC
Well, we're just trying to grab a few quick roadside caches btwn Invers & Dunners. But we are not having much success.
after lots of hunting around and gps ? playing up we gave up on second attempt, we will perceive
Quick find after a lot of head-scratching. Cache-holder must have been moved by someone wanting a better place to sit...
Almost missed this one as the cache had been moved well away from the given GZ. TFTC
Found in the ONLY place it could be Had to wait for some muggles to move but then it was a quick find. TFTC
Went to GZ. Scratched our heads and then made the 10M walk to the most likely spot and made the find.
Nice "monument" for want of a better word.

TFTC, my friend Kelly found this one. She loves this treasure hunting thing! Tried to get this one earlier in the day by myself but was too busy so came back later. Nice spot!
8th find of the 12 Caches of Christmas. Had to be a bit sneaky with all the muggles around. TFTC
Stopped our camper to decide whst to do for dinner. Thought "there's gotta be a cache at the trout", and of course there was
Quick grab on a beautiful Boxing Day. No humming coming from the Trout today. TFTC.
That high pitched noise was really irritating - not sure if it was an equipment malfunction, or designed to stop people loitering at night?!
I found a different cache here about five years ago, so it was neat to return tonight and find the new one. TFTC.

Had found a cache here previously with gpsmith about 5 years ago so was fun to return again. Wasn't quite how I remembered the area!! Funny how we change things in our minds.
And agree, the high pitched hum was horrible!

27th find of 30 finds today with ingidayna and gargamel & azriel on our 21 again mission. TFTC
27/30 today. A night find with wethreefourdices and gargamel & azriel. All the times when the children were young and the cows were still needing milked by me, there was a cahe just wanting me to sign it. ummmm what did I do before geocaching?. TFTC, no live fish today.
Right where I thought it might be. Nice cache, I'll be watching for tricky hides from you now! Thanks.
Found on the way home from Te Anau while the kisa were climbing all over the fish.
Luckily we had seen these kind of "boxes" before, otherwise it would have been tricky I think As capital of brown trout fishing of course the town have to have a BIG trout statue TFTC! DallasJr from Sweden
quick find when driving through - but cache on the ground, so rehid where I thought it should have been - may need to be checked, TFTC!!
Had a great fathers day looking for Caches. It was a great day for it. Thank you.
A quick easy find with not many people around, although a few came by as we were leaving. TFTC
I have always thought this monument was a great idea in the middle of town. I still do as despite a lot of cars parked close by the find was made.
Thanks

@1315 It is very good to see this iconic spot with a new placement. It was very much a "tie the shoelaces" situation.
Thanks kryshan,
Jim

I found this months ago, and clearly just forgot to log my visit, as it keeps showing up on my 'haven't found' list. Thanks. Fun cache.
I knew exactly where this one would be .... and wasn't disappointed! Quick find and a cool container. TFTC
thanks for cache took grandkids for a walk and showed them grandma's treasure hunting game.
FTF!!! Horay! A quick find while travelling through Gore today. Good to see another cache here. TFTC
