This road trip was hatched about a year ago by Tycoon Otto and myself. The original plan was to go back down to the US and hit some power trails, but it morphed into a 13 day, 17,500km geo-odyssey. During this road trip I had several highlights:

1) Got my 7,000th cache and well onto my way to 8,000.
2) Signed 1,026 caches in a single day (HMD power trail California).
3) Visited 18 states in one single 24 hour period.
4) Got 12 different cache types in a single day.
5) Visited "Mingo" the oldest active cache in the world.
6) Signed 1,548 caches during this 13 day period.
7) Cached in 48 states.

More importantly, there were several memories and sites I will never forget. I thoroughly enjoyed the town of St. Charles, Missouri and Cadillac ranch on Route 66.

I will post a picture of our track log in GCZ02V (Seeing Seagulls) and GCMQ1X (Weigh up), the first and last caches in this road trip.

As always caching with Tycoon Otto was a blast. Thanks again for a great caching experience.

To all the cache owners that made this possible, thanks for the cache and happy caching!!!

US14 ET Highway Trip with Sol de Lune and Mtrax. Day 24. Time to cross a few more US states of the list for Caching, starting in Casper, Wyoming. Today on the way to Sheridan from Forsythe we went to the little Bighorn reserve. The story as presented by the park ranger was intense and a bit messy. The rest of the day was roadside caching and visits to small towns along the way. Thanks.

and Welcome to you Hysham we might as well stop for a few caches while we are here...

starting in Forsyth we have reached the top of our driving loop now heading south back to Wyoming via a few small towns Hysham and Harin and stopping in Sheridan.

Our main aim was to visit and geocache in a few more US States.

Greetings from Canberra Australia.
Logged as "SAM" which is a team of three Sol De Lune, Albida33 and Mtrax (me). Visiting the US as a team for the 2nd time, our mission to complete the ET series but before and after do some more exploring and geocaching along the way. Our tour starts around Barstow and a few days in Las Vegas before caching over to 29 Palms before hitting the ET Highway straying at Rachel and Tonapah.
Our second stage of our trip saw us doing a loop around Wyoming, Nebraska, South & Nth Dakota and Montana before finishing back in Los Angles, our finds for the trip totalled well over 4,000 geocaches.

Visiting from Australia and found with Albida and mtrax during our 4 week US adventure...

After missing accommodation in Miles City because of the Rodeo, we had to venture a little further west and ending finding somewhere to stay in Forsyth.

Up the next day and while heading to Little Bighorn, we starting grabbing caches from the git go.....and all those that we found were fine.

Thanks for this one and for adding to the fun of our trip. Greetings from Australia..... Big GrinBig Grin

Quick park and grab for our first find in Treasure County, Montana.

We headed out on what would become a ten day, five thousand mile, geocaching adventure. Our goal was to make sure we found a cache for every county we passed through. Also, we wanted to complete our collection of the forty eight contiguous states. We saw much wonderful and scenic country, met many nice people, and found many very nice hides in our travels. Our journey took us from West Michigan through Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, Montana, South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin and then through the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and across the Mackinac bridge and back home. Thanks to each of you who added to our enjoyment during our journey.

Signed the log as BigCatCog ( or BCC ). Thank you for placing and maintaining this hide.

Find #2301 since we started geocaching from Grand Rapids, MI, on 24 May 2009.
