Meh, no find here for us today. There was a little rustling in the bushes which made us a little jumpy anyway... Been a while since this one was found, I'll be back soon to hopefully rectify that!

No luck with this one. But then I'm not getting much help with the satellites to confirm my position and micros are evading me today. Thx anyway

Found @13:30 #6916
Yes found at last. This one has been attempted a few times think this is the 3rd. The camo and color makes suchba simple hide quite difficult and I think you either find it in 30secs or 30minutes. Another enjoyable find today.

Searched for 2 minutes, before hearing a car. Then a second car stopped and a workman stopped to fix the gate right at the GZ. Having a chat he told me it was rammed the night before.
Thanks anyway

Found on 7 May 2018 at 12:49 pm.
After heading out to reef island I then still had some spare time so headed down here in the hope to finish off my 3rd D/T loop which I did. It was super windy now so it was nice to do a few sheltered ones before heading onto the sand dunes.

I was out of time now so just before the car park I looked for this one, it took a few minutes...tricky one.
Thanks Gonefishen07 for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

One of my finds today after attending the annual pre New Year events in Wonthaggi.
After finding the previous one, this one was located near our car park. The area around here has grown a lot apparently, and Chris Tritonz made the find, which took a few minutes even though he'd found it before.
**Thanks for placing this cache Gonefishen07**

This find took us longer than like a needle in a haystack, for some weird reason! But find it we did, log signed and hide replaced. On to our next cache while we are in luck! TFTC Gonefishen07

After the euphoria of the previous D5 find with DAB and Na'wal we began the search for this one on a high. After 5 minutes of searching we all began to think we had lost our mojo until the other Triton exclaimed "Ive got it"!
Thanks for the hide Gonefishen07 [^]

11-Aug-17
The plan was in place today with DAB & the Tritonz to make our way over to Wonthaggi and surrounds to do some caching. We left early to make the most of the day with a long car trip needed and we had a great day out even with the rain, cold & windy conditions. The bundled into one car after the event and made our way further south. We were all looking in the right area until we spotted something overgrown and made the find. Signed and replaced as found.

**Thanks for this traditional cache Gonefishen07** Smile

Friday saw another caching trip planned, with the combined teams of The_Tritonz, Na'wal and myself. An early start was on the cards for the long journey to the Bass Coast. The weather was a mixed bag all day, with it changing from rain to sunshine frequently. The wind was very strong as well, but you have to expect that in this neck of the woods. Once again, there was great variety of hides. It's always a pleasure to cache here and we are already planning our next trip !!
Another great hide here, we are thoroughly enjoying our day so far. TFTC Gonefishen07 Big Grin

While down at Cape Patterson for our annual Easter holiday with family we decided on showing the rest of the group Powlett River. Once that was done &Others and I decided that we could squeeze a couple nearby on our way back. It was &others quick eye that discovered the excellent hide. Thanks for the cache Gonefishen07 another excellent job.

Hi there Gonefishen07.

We found your cache "Desal Destruction Two!"at 12:22:00 PM today, & this now makes our find count 12688.

Today was "cycle day". We wanted to attempt some of the rail trail caches so we drove down to the nearest parking area and pedaled off. When we finished our run we discovered hat we had logged 16 and DNF'd 2 caches.

Coordinate Accuracy: We found this cache around 2m from where our GPS said we should be looking. Wink
Cache Condition: We replaced the log because the old one was full.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Nothing.

Thanks for placing this cache for us to find,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

[Green]With some time off work for the holiday season I teamed up with Square Pegs to head east of Melbourne to the cache rich Wonthaggi area where I found this cache in good condition and with accurate co-ords. A tricky find but then I noticed something. Desal plant looks quiet....

Thanks Gonefishen07 Smile

After lunch, this was our first stop along the edge of the Desalination plant.
We trusted in the satellites and after a little looking abl973 spotted the hide sitting safely in place.
Thanks to Gonefishen07.

We had looked for this cache during a previous visit but without success. Today, whilst Mrs y'stassie scaled the sand dunes, Mr y'stassie went to look for the cache. He followed the little red pointer and looked around and he saw something that he had seen once a couple of times before - yes it was an interesting cache container. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Gonefishen07 for the cache.

In Wonthaggi this weekend for a whole heap of geocaching!

Saturday, and what was planned to be a massive day. The schedule was to travel to Kilcunda via the rail trail, then head back down the coast. Unfortunately I ran out of time and had to head back to Wonthaggi before completing all the caches. Nevertheless a heap of smileys are now on the map, and I had a blast. A huge thank you to Gonefishen07 for placing these, they are great! Ill be back another day to finish the area off! I apologize for the generic logs, but there are a lot of them!!

Clever camo, I was exhausted by this point

TFTC!!

Find #5384

Out and about today on a big caching run with Jacko83, Dannoz and n0w0rries. We were headed for Wonthaggi, targeting some very specific caches with high difficulty levels as well as any others we happened to come across. The weather was not looking too promising, but we were all hoping the weather that Jacko had ordered for 10am would eventuate Razz

Finally arrived at Mouth of Powlett River after a bit of a diversion on the way for another cache. This one took a while to locate, but eventually located under a pile of leaves. Not sure that is what was intended. Anyway, names on the log and off we went.

Thanks to Gonefishen07 for the cache. TNLN

2nd of 28 finds (+ 3 DNFs) on the 1st of August, with ahomburg, Danozz, Jacko83 and Bentley Parker.
Giving this one some love to start our "day in the dunes".

01-Aug-15
Made the trip down Wonthaggi today to clear out some difficult DT and finish my 3rd loop.

Joined by Danozz, Ahomburg, Noworries and Bentley Parker, I had a 'free run' as wife was away - which = no curfew or time limits...left home 630am... got home 4am! Phew - massive day!

Weather was kind to us today - a little cold and windy but rain held off. All in all had a ball and legs are feeling it today.

Our first cache of the day and a taste of what was to come. Searched one spot until trusted coords, took 3 checks till this was found. Clever! tftc

This was the first geocache my daughter in law found before us and honestly I don't think I would have found it without her. Very clever hide and much harder than I expected.

Met up with Team Crackers for 2 days, to tackle the Rail Trail and a few local caches.

We enjoyed the walk, down this fantastic new path. So nice to hear the surf, in the back ground.
The cache was spotted after a short search, signed and replaced.
Many thanks for placing this cache, Gonefishen07, for us and others to find.

An impromptu caching day saw Nut bear and I returning to the very familiar and always entertaining Gonefishen07 territory.
We made this one much harder than it was because on arrival at GZ we decided it was on a certain something and spent a lot of time looking at the wrong thing. Suddenly something else caught our attention and there it was. A very nicely hidden cache.
Thanks Gonefishen07 for the cache.

Was not really up for a day of caching with a cold, but with the thought that the fresh air might do me some good and finding some more of Gonefishen07's high caliber caches I was easily persuaded.
Spent quite a while looking for this one, Just when I thought it may be a DNF, Natasha made the find. Very cleverly hidden!.
Thanks Gonefishen07 for the cache. Big Grin

Today we headed out in the car to find caches that did not have too much walking entailed. Hubby not used to bike riding wanted a day off.
This is our final day in the beautiful area, we have appreciated all the caches we have found thanks Wonthaggi.
This is about as close to a desalination plant ever. Found a very tricky little hide, worthy of a favourite point.
Thanks Gonefishen07 for another great cache

Signed log. Some previous slight damage to cache.

29-Dec-13
After a quick rest in the car, and some 'nourishing' snacks, thankfully the esky was plugged in to prevent melting, we arrived at a very different looking desalination plant than a previous occasion. The cache fooled us for a while, but eventually found it. Thanks for a challenging cache Gonefishen07

Find 1 of 3 today after watching the foundations taking shape at our new house.
Was distracted by some nearby items but finally honed into cache and then it was a quick find, and not so quick extraction - took a while to get the lid off the container. Signed log and repaired cammo as best I could before replacing cache.

Had a bit of a look around before we heard the sound of muggles driving up the road, so we headed back to our car as they drove past us and parked at the gate. No more searching for us here.

Surprisingly, this wasn't the first cache today that these particular muggles arrived at GZ just after we did. As we drove away, I was very tempted to stop and sneak back to see if these people were also looking around the same place we were.

We'll be back...
