After a great morning 4wding in Sundown NP, wayn0 and I had some time to pick up more caches before the event tonight. Spotted this one from the car as we pulled up. Tftc Aussie LiahonaFind #5950
Picked up after setting up the van for a weekend of caching fun around Stanthorpe.
I’m 4 for 4 on this glorious January morning. I feel like I deserve a berry ice-cream! such a shame that they are closed! TFTC
We are on our way back home. We went to QOGM 2022 in Charleville first, then decided to go on a camping trip in NSW for a change and visited also Canberra.
Now we stay a couple of days in Stanthorpe.
Tftc Aussie Liahona and Team Robins for maintaining
Out for a Sunday drive (and it is Sunday today). The weather up until yesterday has been atrocious, and I really did not think we would get out of Warwick this weekend, let alone find at least 10 of the required 20 caches needed to get us to our milestone of 6000. But this morning we woke to a beautiful sunny autumn day, so dressed accordingly, and set off for Glen Aplin to start a caching drive home again. Coffee and Vincenco's added to the enjoyment.
Why is it you don't see a car for miles but when you stop for a cache and suddenly it's Grand Central Station.
Considering all the rain this cache was like a coat - drizabone!
Thanks Aussie Liahone and Team Robins for the hide and a great drive.

Our 4th day on holiday in Stanthorpe. Waiting for Jamworks to open, we went for a drive down the road and found this cache quickly. TFTC!
We came south from our accommodation because we had a select winery for a tasting, a visit to the soaperie, and lunch booked in at Jamworks. When we approached GZ I asked Mrs Woodyrothwell what the hint for the cache was and she answered, “rocks”. When I told her the hint was “magnetic” I think she peed her pants or her fart had a tragic smell to it. tftc
After a really great day of walking in the nearby National Park, we took a couple of small detours back in to Stanthorpe. This road was one of them and we stopped here to make a quick find. We could see the container as we pulled up at GZ, having read the hint.
Log signed and then on our way to see if we can find one more along this roadway.
Thanks Aussie Liahona and Team Robbins

Ahhh so sad this place is closed! thanks for the cache though. Red back spiders around the cache - be careful!
TFTC! Coming to GZ, I was thinking I might not have luck with this one, but no, it’s still there. Now found a smiley on the shortest day of the year! Thanks for bringing me to this location!
Making our way north we have now reached the granite belt and there are a lot of interesting and quite spectacular rock formations around. This was a not a difficult cache to find with ilook4geo. After doing the signing duties, all was put back into its place before we headed on our way for the day. Thanks go to Aussie Liahona for putting this cache into play.
We are now caching in the granite belt with goingplaces2 and enjoying finding some fun and interesting caches. This one was easy to find and soon had our names on the paper. TFTC.
Caching by phone, a better log coming.

Exploring all the roads in this area in a short two days but really appreciative of the caches to guide our way! Tftc
Out on a circuit from King Storm dam to pick up as many caches, and souvenirs, as possible. All that were attempted were eventually found, some taking longer than others. Mostly all the caches were in good condition though some had damp logs. I particularly enjoyed those caches that had been created by their COs, though even some of those made me feel very uncomfortable with their placement whether it was because it was on private property or so close to the highway that they didn't allow for good parking.
Big thanks to COs for placing and maintaining these caches which add another dimension to our travels.
All logs were signed with full name or as SG as I often do depending on space available, tthough signing was not necessarily straightafter the previous logger as sometimes I filled in a space.

3rd out of 10 finds for our afternoon caching. This one was a nice easy find at GZ. TFTC Aussie Liahona and Team Robins
Parked up by GZ and just got out of Mitsi when the rains started - thank goodness it was a quick easy find. TFTC Aussie Liahona
Found quickly with Clan-mess after a quick stop to find some berries down the road. TFTC
Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Aussie Liahona and Team Robins for the cache.
Our last day in the area and heading to the National Park. We made the short detour for this one. TFTC.
Oh no indeed! Don't take me to the bramble patch. . After a fun morning of caching we were indeed heading this way to refuel ourselves and handily grab a couple caches on the way. All good with this one - we were on a time limit which i think we only exceeded by 30 seconds (and that was due to my lack of coordination and slow writing). All good here. Thanks!
I'm sure this road looks familiar. I'm almost certain we came down here for a multi cache final but why we didn't find these one's I don't know. Or maybe I'm getting my roads mixed up. Anyhow I'm here now and at 2am it's about as dark as the abyss. The milky way looked amazing as I walked back up the hill towards GZ. A few spooky noises in the bushes but I'm sure it's nothing man eating size.
A quick flash of my torch soon found the cache on this cool sign. Log signed and replaced before dashing off to the next.
Thanx again Aussie L.

Back in Stanthorpe for a few days to clean up after Mega, where we spent most of the time on the Apples.
There were no brambles - maybe they have all been cleaned up for the moment. But we did find the cache and 'sign-ed' it.
Found at 5:25pm on 6th December, 2015. TFTC.

This was the last day before heading home after spending time at the QLD MEGA Event in Stanthorpe.
The weather was perfect and a 1/2 day of caching was being attempted. TFTC
Found quickly and soon to get to our destination - Brambles Café for morning tea.

Bit of a sad day today, being the last day of the Queensland 2015 Mega Event. Many cachers are already packing up and heading home. Not us though - we have another day to fill in, hoping to find as many of the unfound caches around the Stanthorpe area as we can. Couldn't leave this one behind. Thanks for the smiley Aussie Liahona, and for tempting me to taste one of the yummy icecreams from further up the road.
After attending the QLD Mega we decided to make today a day of caching between Tenterfield and Stanthorpe. Weather was fantastic but highway was very busy - luckily most of our time was spent on the lovely country roads. About every 3rd or 4th cache we would run into other Mega cachers. Great to see variety, creative and a few tricky caches. Thanks to all the C.O.'s.
Enjoying a beaut day in Stanthorpe & surrounds with our good mates DazRascal & Mvyrmnd.
Our goal today was to find as many types as we could & help us reach 4000 finds.
We enjoyed our drive along the back roads to find these caches, seeing some great countryside, beaut hides, lots of laughs and no DNFs.
Many thanks for highlighting this area.
Cheers.

Quick easy find on out drive around the area with Haveanez during the Mega weekend.
Wasn't hard to spot Gz, there is usually a car parked with the Mega flags flying to mark the spot.
TFTC, Cheers.

Well, having hit 2000 for the Mega we're back caching!
Time to finish the Elementaries & the rest of the Apple!
Doesn't hurt to throw a few extras in the mix along the way either.
A quick pit stop in between passing muggle vehicles.
Quite busy for what seemed an isolated country road.
