Out with Tankengine and Dty73 roaming the Penrith area grabbing a cache here and there This was an easy pick up. Kutgw

What an awesome day! Tankengine, Youban and I went and had an awesome breakfast at Percy Plunkett Cafe. The food and service was really good, but the coffee was smaller than expected, but not too bad. After that we got some caches before meeting the rest of the gang (fitzy_1965, minniek, Joolay, contesta, Aquilus1, sacada, GLISS! and Nibletricecakes). We dashed from cache to cache, all we aimed for we found and only had a couple of DNFs. After an all day run around happily caching (only breaking for lunch at Zeus Kebab and Pizza House in Cranebrook Village - which hit the spot!), we headed to the Panthers Club for the event and a well earned drink!This cache: Took longer than it should have to find this one. But Youban was on the ball again and found it in no time. Tftc!!!

I got swarmed by a nest of angry paper wasps. Stung the absolute B'jezuz out of my legs.Went to the car, came back with a can of insect killer and a vengeance.I think I got them all, but beware. Put off of looking for cache.

Between the long grass, angry wasps, and weird spiders. I am okay with not finding this one today!

Stumbled upon the container after prodding around in the long grass. Glad it's not summer time.

Really interesting information about this historic house, which fortunately I could just see from GZ.
I had a lot of trouble finding the cache and was about to give up when I spotted it, as always happens. The cache was in good condition considering how wet its obviously been around here over the last few months.
That rain however had made the grasses here grow to well above my knees (OK I am vertically challenged) and it was really wet. The blackberries have grown well around GZ as have the farmer's unfriends and several other weed varieties so it was a challenging search.
Don't think I'd have done this one in the summer!

Once you get through the spider webs and everything that is overgrown, it’s an easy grab. TFTC.

Not quite a PNG here but still a pretty quick find despite lots of rain-soaked grass and blackberry vines. I could just see the cottage through the grass and mist over the hill, though I wouldn’t have known that’s what it was but for the listing photos.

We have travelled from Sydney’s Northern Beaches to Emu Plains for a short 3 day caching holiday, staying in a park cabin at the Ingenia Nepean River BIG4 Holiday Park at Emu Plains, and are planning to explore the areas between Penrith and Warragamba, including a stop-off on arrival day at St Marys. Hoping to collect some previously solved Puzzle caches and to also complete the Adventure Labs at St Marys, Penrith and Warragamba. Will also be on the hunt for Natural Wonders and Solar System Wonders, to complete the Wonders of the World souvenir challenge.

Today is the last day of our short Penrith holiday, but before heading for home we will be visiting the Penrith Showground Markets (ended up purchasing a pair of blue Budgies and a pair of Gouldian Finches) before completing the Penrith Tourist Trail Adventure Lab (but sadly ended up DNFing it's associated AL Bonus cache), then caching our way to Mulgoa, and finishing up with some previously solved Puzzle/Mystery caches at Kingswood. This was our 8th find of the day, and 60th find of the holiday.

This one took a bit longer, and was more painful, than expected. Lots of very sharp blackberry bushes at GZ, and the cache was amongst them, but we eventually spotted & retrieved the cache container from it's well fortified stronghold. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. TFTC The Booos.

Geoboyfriend followed the geotrail to this one, last the farmer’s friends. Its Camo had been removed so it was in plain view - we’ve rectified that.

Took nothing, left nothing.

Was just left out in the open, placed it back with minor Camo.
