Found on dusk on our way back home. Lucky we had a torchOn our way to the Wiseman Ferry after Color River paddling event. Huge day but picking up some on the way. Signing as CC24 for Canberra CachersThanks for getting me out and about SearchnLog
The big HAVOC kayaking trip is over and we are all rather weary however, there is always energy enough to find another cache, or two. TFTC SL as Smittengranny
Find # 13052Following an epic paddle on the Colo today, after a brief rest a few of us went off caching on the way home and off to the next event.Always energy for just one more - with Smittengranny, KittyKatch, and Joolay. Many thanks to SearchnLog for placing Wisemans Reserve for us all to enjoy. Your contribution to the game through the placement and maintenance of this cache over the years is appreciated.
After the dinner event tonight, I stopped to find this cache. A pretty cool spot for a hide, with views of the river below. TFTC
Found It!A nice little walk here and a quick find once I got to GZ. Not a bad view either!TFTC
Followed the path in towards the cache. Just a short walk and an after dinner one so looking light. A nice straightforward find here tonight. We started the day with a 40 minute drive, a mass kayak drop, car shuffle and an event. An early start to have us out on the river about 8am. Lots of Canberra caches taking advantage of the opportunity to join in on a paddle up the Colo River had made our way north to join in for the day. We signed as HSC24 (hunter, Sydney, canberra) for all our many people, and groups, almost 30 people. The tides were gentle and flowing with us. A beautiful river, calm, great bushland setting with the hills high about us and crazy, fascinating sandstone rock formations into the water by us.The caches were a mixed of finds. Easy generally but just the attachments, strings, or tops on occasion. Permission sort prior, to replace any needing maintenance that were clearly missing or in need of repair.A great day out on the water, shallow at times across sand backs and fish jumping. Great scenery, it was easier going than expected. The change of tide brought a calm stand still to the water and over 14km and 5 hours later, a gentle tide change to paddle against which wasn't noticed and we made ut to our end spot.Quicker than expected to finish, off for some caches, shower, rest and then the dinner event at Wisemans ferry before a few caches on the way home. I'll sleep well tonight, but a great day. Thanks for the cache and fun!
Spending some time caching around the NSW/ACT southern tablelands with lots of side trips. TFTC.Today was a trip to Windsor, Sydney to join a group of cachers from Hunter, Sydney and Canberra to kayak the Colo River. Signing as HSC24 (HAVOC, Sydney & Canberra)Today was the big day with a large turnout of many cachers with many caches. There were some caches with signs of being swept away, one totally gone and quite a few in need of repair. The maintenance crew did a wonderful job.14 km later and we were finally at the end. What a long paddle.Finished off with dinner at Wismans Ferry with a few caches on the way there and back.An excellent spot and a superb hiding spot. Awesome.
Drove up to wisemans today to collect various puzzles and misc trads. This was the last one of the lot. Cool Little Rock feature at GZ. TFTC
Heading home via Wisemans Ferry, lets do several finds. My 500th find of 2023. Log rolls full so I squeezed my entry somewhere there.Another TB discovered, now retrieved. Now with TBs Canadian Flag, Pittiplatsc, Corona Express Cruise Ship, Bierkrug, USA Bear and Technology Tag in tow.
I'm not normally a catcher that goes through the bush - but was determined to get this one Such a lovely spot Thanks for the cache
We thought thi smay have been a park, and planned to have lunch here, but oh well, it had rocks to sit on. What a unique bit of wall this is. Thankyou for showing us this natural feature.
After a great day caching around wisemans ferry, I stopped for this cache on the way home. spotted straight away as it seems fairly exposed, I guess not many muggles stop here. Thanks for the cache tnln replaced as found sl
What a lovely treat we discovered on our way out of Wiseman’s Ferry. A little gift with a fantastic view.
Found this one on the way out of Wiseman’s Ferry back towards Sydney, after a few day long camping trip nearby. Nice and simple find, and a great view that was completely unexpected upon arrival!

A nice quick find after a short walk along the path. Pretty nice views from up here, I usually approach Wisemans Ferry from the northern side so I always forget how steep this descent is. Nothing like the other side which follows the river for ages.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Slight diversion to pop by and collect this cache to reflect our visit to Wisemans Ferry. Driving thru the countryside today and stopping at awesome places. Stopped in town for a drink after getting the ferry over. Fascinating area. Found with i_halfpint. Lovely spot.
Nice little find. All dry and hidden out of the rain. Container has a crack in the bottom. TFTC
Quick find after doing the 2 GNW Al's. OCW Brewmaker and It's Dozzie. TFTC SearchnLog
Found at 9:55 AM GAFF1.
Our first day at Wisemans Ferry after leaving Freemans Reach where our Land Rover was being repaired. We camped at Carinya Ski Ranch which was quite expensive for the facilities that were available, however the scenes that we could see between the permanent vans was quite nice.
We made a plan to do a few caches on our way to a special cache to complete our next D/T and this was the first one on our list. A bit of a bush bash and then the familiar stepped sandstone cliffs where a cache can be nicely hidden without getting wet. The cache was found in a very precarious location and we wondered how it has lasted this long perched in such a manner?
Thanks SearchnLog.

Out today with the GroWife as today is our last day of leave before returning to work.
We headed out from home and made our way up the Pacific Hwy, then on to Peats Ridge Road, then on to Wisemans Ferry Road to Wisemans Ferry for lunch before returning home.
I picked up a number of Caches along the way.
This was a quick find.

We spent the day driving the Convict Road, to show my Dad some of the constructions during his visit, and find some caches. We managed a dozen, 9 GC and 3 GA finds, with just one DNF for a great day in this spectacular region.
After seeing geocaching pics of a death adder in a spot just like GZ, I was cautious to stick my hand in, so decided where the cache likely was and poked with a stick, the tell-tale sound of plastic soon echoed.... TFTC! Nice spot.....

After lunch at the St Albans Inn for the GCNSW event, we decided to pick up a couple of caches on the way home. Stopped in the parking area and were followed by The Bebes and PelDroedGwin. A short walk to the GZ and with four sets of eyes, the container was quickly found.
OCW PelDroedGwin
Following the GCNSW event at St Albans we made one final stop on the way home.
Met ziggieau and Aubeasty at the parking spot and we all walked down to GZ.

A quick detour with my noob cacher friend. Spent 10 minutes or so searching in motorcycle gear in the pouring rain. Slippery rocks and leaves were a slight issue. Saw a likely spot and bam. Didn’t sign log as it was lashing rain. Can supply a pic if needed. TFTC.
Nicely tucked away in a great location. Have been here before many years ago and DNF'd.
I recall the views being better back then as you were able to see a lot more of the river from GZ which is now obstructed by trees.

Well spotted by geogolfer at my first thought a very nice hide and amazing location TFTC
Coming back from staying at Wisemans for the night. Quick stop and quick find. SL and replaced. TFTC.
What a simple but effective hide. I was fascinated by the formation but didn't look from the right angle to see what it hid. Until I did. The river looked very calm, veiled in the afternoon smoke from the hazard reduction burns further west.
Thanks SearchnLog.
Thanks SearchnLog.
Quick find today whilst hunting a FTF in the area no luck with it . But thanks for bring me here Cheers
Just a short stroll from the parking spot. Some nice natural rock carvings. Found the cache, signed the log then just beat a passing shower back to the car. TNLN. TFTC.
TFTC. When we felt the force we had to look back and CIH. Thanks you catching spirits for guiding us in our sandstone quest.
Exploring the Hawkesbury and people such as Mr Wiseman today, we stopped for this cache soon after enjoying the views from Hawkins Lookout. Lovely rock formations here, and soon we had the cache in hand. Added our name to one of the loose sheets that people have contributed for logging.
Thanks for the little walk, the views and the cache!

Today we opted to go caching in a new area on the Hawkesbury River with some friends. A number of good finds in an area we have not explored previously.

After stopping down towards the ferry for some lunch, we headed back towards our starting location via a different route. We passed this cache and went hunting. The clue pointed us towards a large rock, but how do you dig through it?
An alternate angle revealed the cache. Unfortunately the two logged residents were not present.
