US14 ET Highway Trip with Sol de Lune and Mtrax. Day 21. Time to cross a few more US states of the list for Caching, starting in Casper, Wyoming. Our main reason for coming to Rapid City was of course Mt Rushmore, but that did not stop us from getting a good bit of caching done. Not to mention an awe inspiring visit to the Crazy Horse Monument. A huge work in progress. Thanks.

Last cache before we hit town and looking forward to dinner great day out.
Staying in Rapid City and making a day trip to Mt Rushmore and aloop back to the city, enjoying the wonderful scenery along the way weather was perfect.
Greetings from Canberra Australia.
Logged as "SAM" which is a team of three Sol De Lune, Albida33 and Mtrax. Visiting the US as a team for the 2nd time, our mission to complete the ET series but before and after do some more exploring and geocaching along the way. Our tour starts around Barstow and a few days in Las Vegas before caching over to 29 Palms before hitting the ET Highway straying at Rachel and Tonapah.
Our second stage of our trip saw us doing a loop around Wyoming, Nebraska, South & Nth Dakota and Montana before finishing back in Los Angles, our finds for the trip totalled well over 4,000 geocaches.

Visiting from Australia and found with Albida and mtrax during our 4 week US adventure...
Having a great time driving around the Rushmore and Crazy Horse sites, grabbing caches as we went. Heading back to Rapid City after a great day. Cache was found without issue.
Thanks for another one and greetings from Australia.....

Today was one of those days where mother nature just didn't know what it wanted to do. It is spring but she is not convinced of that. So off we went looking for this with sleet coming down on us, but not much, just enough to annoy you. We set off looking for the cache in the wrong spot and of course my Garmin was on strike as it usually does in the woods....so we looked a little more than we should have perhaps...lol. We finally looked in a different area, and bingo, the cache!. I cannot imagine a homestead there, it would be beautiful in the spring, summer, but scary in the winter...Pretty amazing how brave the settlers were!! Thanks for bringing us to this area, TFTC, SL!
Oh, what the hills hold behind the next curve, over the next hill. If I wasn't geo-caching, I would never see the different areas. The walk was short, but the mud was pretty thick. Started on the wrong side of the road, but then the geo-senses kicked in. Being in the hills, the Garmin does jump a time or two. Made the find. Interesting Roof! TFTC
