On my way to the HCMC Weekend Away at Foreman's corner, had a bit of time, so went a different route to pick up some eggs. No problems with this one. TFTC.
I have previously completed part of this series today we took the long way home to try and complete the series it was great to have pull off area close to GZ the log was signed in a flash and replaced as found..thanks Riser5 for maintaining this cache
Thankfully, the parking is large and safe here. There was something very dead close by, so no lingering. Thanks for bringing us here Riser5
OOPs! Another one I forgot to log at the time - caching with CF, BFG and Bruzie. TFTC
Quick find after the chicken crossed the road. Thanks for another Riser5; team
Day 2 of our three day Geocaching trip to Whangarei. This stage included a large loop to the East of Whangarei picking up solved puzzles and some Old School Caches. We signed the log as BBIC for Bruzie, BFG, Infoferret and CrystalFairy.
Quick and easy find. T4TC

I'm on a road trip to the far north, attempting to complete the PWGT Tahi Geotour.
This is day four, touring around Whangarei. In the company of barefootguru, InfoFerret, and CrystalFairy. Signed logs as "BBIC" for brevity.
Will expand on my logs, post photos, qualifying caches for challenges, etc. When I get home. TFTC
Another quick one.

Lots of parking across the road from gz.
Plenty of traffic passing today. Fortunately it didn't take long to get the job done.
Thanks for setting this up

#11,510. I am on a northern road trip to finish off the latest geotour, pick up solved puzzle finals, virtuals, challenges and a sprinkling of other cache types that are close by. After spending the night in Whangarei I have quite a few things planned today before I stop the night in Kaitaia.
Heading back to the main highway now but stopping to pick up caches in this series. Found cache at first place checked. Signed the logbook and returned the cache where found. Thanks Flowersnz for hiding it here and Riser5 for maintaining it. This cache and the others in the series reminded me of the breakfast series of caches in Rotorua.

Container was totally munted...
Put log in a yellow egg I had in my geo mobile .
All good for now.

Quick stop , plenty of parking , a quick dash across the road and a easy find . Could do with a new container though this egg is cracked and broken ️
Found the shell badly cracked. We have added a new log and placed inside a plastic bag back into the badly cracked egg. Needs a new shell. Found with Yvettetb on a lovely Sunday morning drive around Hika searching for caches.
As per message from Nessvab we have added in a replacement log in a plastic bag but the shell is cracked beyond repair so needs to be replaced.
Parked alongside and glad I tucked it right in as a car heading towards me from Hikurangi chose this spot to overtake, pretty close there.
It's Christmas Eve, and in the drunk tank, an old man said to me, don't miss another cache. And so I headed out real early for a quick raid of some local, and some not so local options for finds. Around a giant loop and went further than I thought but back in time for breakfast and some nice quiet roads to travel around.
Heading north for Christmas, we're off to Ngunguru for 6 days along the Tutukaka coast and accompanied by our youngest daughter, middle daughter and family, and will meet up with one of our sons and his family too, so a busy time. Had a great time away and ate well, watered well and a bit of fishing and kayaking, awesome weather mostly too in Northland.

North Island Campervan trip Day 9
After the fantastic holiday I had a few months ago traveling around the South Island, making the most of one of those incredibly cheap campervan deals available at the time, I figured it was worth taking a week off work before the stresses of the usual holiday period to enjoy some of the delights to be found around the top of the North Island.
This would be a great chance for me to seek out some targeted caches such as the TMGT ones as well as some that would help me with my Jasmer grid, missing minutes (for a couple of challenge caches I'm working on) and any other caches that caught my eye.
Last night I was able to spend the night in a small DOC campsite right on the beach in Woolleys Bay. My main intention for today was to get up to Russell in the Bay of Islands. I haven't been there in over 30 years, and was really looking forward to being there again. After that I was simply going to start heading back south again.
I had made a reasonably early start from Matapouri as I knew there would be lots of driving to be done today, so the Twin Coast Discovery Highway was very quiet which definitely made parking up near the caches along the way very easy.
Parking near GZ, the Hint helped me make a quick find here today. Of this series, this was the only cache that didn't have some kind of issue associated with it, and it's no coincidence that this one had a much sturdier container. Finding no problem with the cache or the log, I quickly added my name and replaced everything back exactly as found before getting back on my way again.

Nice find with woolwood9 today.
*We enjoyed the drive / walk around the area.*
Stamped logs as tm/ww NZ which may just look like a black smudge on plastic logs!
TFTC
Found what looked to be someones throw-down container.
*Quick look and the hiding location was found.*

From the Bay of Island we drove to Kawakawa. Then we went to Tutukaka and Whangarei via the Touristik Drive. On the way we had very nice views and great beaches. On the coast we could make a very nice hike and some cache log. The hints were helpful and the coordinates mostly good.
Thanks to the owner for the nice caches.
Greetings from Germany from the Moorhelmis

Beautiful anniversary day weather, so headed out to the coast for a walk on the beach and pick up some caches as well.
First on the list was this one. Despite the attentions of a large boxer dog at the car parking spot, I managed to avoid scrambling the eggs and was soon on our way again.

Whangarei Day2.
We spent a delightful day in the outer region of Whangarei, driving through the rolling country side then onto the sea side where many surfers were enjoying the waves.
A great variety of locations & hides were found.
Thanks for placing this cache Riser5

Caching around through Tutukaka and Woolley Bay and now heading back towards Hikarangi. Quick find here with the local boxers watching. TFTC
The Squirrel and my plans for the weekend was to log as many old caches as possible to go towards completing another challenge. This meant a lot of kilometres driving and a bit of forward planning and plus collect as many other caches as we could. The plan was to travel to KawaKawa Bay and stay at Hemi's uncles home.
Early start Saturday morning with our goal to get to KawaKawa. Google tells me its 266 Kilometres one way, but with caching who knows how many km's it will be.
Left Rotorua after work on Friday with a stop for dinner (Cambridge Roast House). Next stop Huntly for a coffee and a chat with fellow cachers, then on to KawaKawa Bay. No caches done on this leg.
Early start Saturday morning to achieve our goal.
11am - Co Ords good and soon found cache. SLTFTC

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)... Day 2 of our flying visit to Northland. Today, we are hunting for two old caches; one each in Russell and Whangarei. We are also looking at anything else between these points, within short walking distance of the vehicle. it seems a lot brighter today, but rain is on the forecast, and the ground is waterlogged...
We spotted these egg caches on the extremity of our geo search and were immediately intrigued. We wondered how far we could go with this theme. A quick find on this one. TFTC.

Nice easy find. Good start to the day, as we head out to Woolleys Bay for Waitangi Day TFTC.

On the way to Whananaki for a few days of camping and adventure. So nothing like a few caches to lead the way to our destination, albeit a slightly longer way as my quick look at the map ment I missed the quicker route to the North side and ended up on the South side. Oh well, more caches this way!!
A quick find here, with a couple of dogs barking at me from across the road. Replacing was a different story though as I accidentally dropped the log and it took a few minutes to find it laying in the grass.

Looking forward to an eggcelent day along this road today. I love scrambled eggs. Nice to start our day with an easy find, TFTC
A quick find, a 3 legged dog across the road barking away made me work faster!
Cruising around Whangarei, and its environs. A lovely fine day to be away from work!
Thanks for effort put your hides.

Exploring the area with eyelua - parked across the road and immediately thought we knew where it would be, and it was
thanks to all the owners of the geocaches that we found today between Mangawhai Heads and Hikurangi ... we enjoyed all the beautiful places! TFTC and greetings from Belgium.
Third find on a caching road trip before a family function. Muggle vehicles everywhere but the nest was soon found. TFT(eggy)C.
Out on an egg hunt today to complete this end of the egg trail, having hunted out the other eggs a while back. TFTC
Quickly spotted, recovered, signed and returned. First of this series, and it looks like it was heading the way I wanted to go for the day!
Up from Wellington for work, so good opportunity to score a few caches in another part of the country!

Decided to do a bit of a day tour of Northland and grab some easy drive-bys in the process. Thanks.
Spending a weekend in Whangarei. What to do with ones spare time? Caching of course!
On our way out to find CANZ Northland and found this interesting series. We were not scrambled with this one.
Thanks Flowernz.
