Logs
The tree that the cache was on has been chopped down by owner in new house. C/O will need to replace closer to the corner where there is parking and trees.
Took longer than should as hadn't read previous log which noted hint changed from chevron to in tree right of gz.
After a little looking cache was found. The weather today not so nice tho
Heading to Marua today, so stopped off for this one. Future cachers should take noteof the owner maint log from Sept 14 as the orig hint no longer applies. Quick find with the updated clue. TFTC
From the Bay of Island we drove to Kawakawa. Then we went to Tutukaka and Whangarei via the Touristik Drive. On the way we had very nice views and great beaches. On the coast we could make a very nice hike and some cache log. The hints were helpful and the coordinates mostly good.
Thanks to the owner for the nice caches.
Greetings from Germany from the Moorhelmis

Whangarei Day2.
We spent a delightful day in the outer region of Whangarei, driving through the rolling country side then onto the sea side where many surfers were enjoying the waves.
A great variety of locations & hides were found.
Thanks for placing this cache Riser5

I nearly gave up on this one! L
Thanks for the clue from a previous log I found it.

Chevron? I nearly gave up on this, then I read the logs. Unfortunately my GPS only shows the latest 10 logs but there was one that gave enough of a clue. The updated hint post was "New cache, Hidden in the nearby Tree. To the right of GZ. Head height. Use your eyes" for those that had the same problem as me. TFTC.
After wandering up and down the road several times, we read previous logs and saw CO had posted new hint. Nice easy find once we had the new info TFTC

On the way to Whananaki for a few days of camping and adventure. So nothing like a few caches to lead the way to our destination, albeit a slightly longer way as my quick look at the map ment I missed the quicker route to the North side and ended up on the South side. Oh well, more caches this way!!
Might need to update the hint here, as I spent a good 5 minutes hunting around the hint item as there wasn't anything near the GZ. After a while I read a few logs and came across the maintenance log and the new hint. Found with no problem once I was looking in the right place.

I didn't think chooks lay in trees. My hens definitely liked to roost in the feijoa trees. A quick find once we followed the GPS, TFTC
New cache, Hidden in the nearby Tree. To the right of GZ. Head height. Use your eyes.
Nope, no fried eggs here either. Seems as if the post with the hint mentioned has been removed and cache has either gone with it or buried in 2 foot of grass. Didn't hang around and continued on our journey.
Short on time , and bearing in mind the previous logs decided not to bother stopping for a fruitless search ... maybe on a future trip.
Couldn't locate the post hole in question in all the tall grass....Regards, tv
Chevron has been removed but post hole still exists - co-ordinates are sound but log is wet. TFTC.
Spending a weekend in Whangarei. What to do with ones spare time? Caching of course!
Arrived at GZ to find the fence down and an electric fence erected to retain the heifer lumps. Checked out the "Chevrons" but these were all well away from GZ. It looks like someone has missed the corner and taken out the fence and any "Chevrons" which may have been there. So, your egg was probably fried.
We will put this one on watch, to see what develops.
Thanks Flowernz.

Found as part of my Post Mega northen road trip. Really enjoyed a part of the country I hadn't seen before. Thanks to all those who have placed cacahes to encourage us southerners to come your way!
I finally made it to Matapouri Bay today after a false start last Tuesday. Today it started fine and stayed that way all day.
Used to but not any more.
Cheers for the cache.
#25 Muggled by the locals who then swarmed over to see what we were up to, they must have thought we were going to let them into another paddock
Easy find - another egg cracked, but all good.
Added a marble to the egg so it will rattle now.

A nice quick find on a beaut day's caching up north, not an area I get to visit very often. A slightly early visit for me, I should of waited till fry-day.

Neither of us are fans of fried eggs but another egg cracked to reveal another smilie TFTC.
9154... Didn't want to get flipped over by making this fried egg over easy, and certainly avoided being runny over too, TFTC.

Fried eggs should always be eaten with bacon where possible mmm I can almost smell the bacon cooking. Tummy growling now. Quick find after the muggle who pulled up behind us, left the area. TFTC

Spent the weekend visiting family in Whangarei.
After breakfast in the town basin (Bacon and Eggs / French Toast) we were inspired to find some more eggs!
Quick and easy find. TFTC.

A day release pass from family meant a caching trip could be done. Teamed up with good mate Butchie Bum to tackle the east coast caches and couldn't pass thru without nabbing a few eggs on the way! TFTC
Driving the loop from Hikurangi to Whangarei via Tutukaka, collecting a basketful of eggs. Had to check a couple of the hint items before we found the Fried Eggs #3. Thanks.

After finding a poached egg it was time to move on and start frying some eggs, I do like my fried eggs, sunny side up on a piece of toast, arriving near GZ was able to find a car-park not too far from GZ and it was a quick walk to GZ, managed to find the cache in the first spot I check, what a nice spot for a cache, thanks for placing it here and for bringing me here to this spot, also decided to bring Dream, Passion and Journey Travel Bug along to visit this cache as well, TFTC TNLNSL (3684)
Decided to drop a Travel bug for a quick visit while it was passing through as it is in a race
We are on our second caching holiday in New Zealand and today was our last full day of caching. We have been limited with the caches we could search for after Marco badly sprained his ankle at Cape Reinga and is on crutches – but this one was easily accessible so we decided to give it a go. This was a nice quick find for us. TNLNSL TFTC
A beautifull day for caching so decided to grab a Dozen Eggs and a few other caches too! T4TC!
Well, mini mob had turned his ipod on by now ... sitting in the back seat singing "Dancing Queen" very loudly. Another good easy find. Omlettes are next!
Having a fun afternoon as we enjoy these colourful little eggs all looking in good condition and well covered.
Quick find, we spotted a farmer just along the road but he didn't pay much attention to us.TFTC.
I had been planning & looking forward to going out to visit one of my favourite beaches All day... the multiple notifications ( a dozen? how eggxciting!) going off all in a row was like an alarm-clock ringing LOL, quickly loaded them up and out the door. It was surprising NOT to bump into anyone, as apparently the coast was crawling with cachers today...
These rural areas can be deceptively quiet at times... so was lightly a-fried, but for naught as no muggle farmer appeared.
Another quick easy find. Oooh enough for a big omelette perhaps? all this caching is working up an appetite!
