A couple of PNG's with Rassilon256 before a trip for snacks... A quick find here!
#21010 - 1:07:00 PM; Arrived in the Blue Mountains last night with the geohoney for a couple of days of R&R. While the geohoney browsed the retail opportunities along the Leura Mall, I set off for a few of the nearby caches, including this one. The log is quite damp, but managed to add my stamp before replacing the cache as found. TFTC pjmpjm
The logbook is wet but I've signed as best as I can you can buy O rings from Bunnings which will fix this problem thank you for the cache
Found after a short search, soggy but signable log. No golfers here at the time. Thanks for the cache pjmpjm
Thanks for these awesome caches around the beautiful areas of Leura. I absolutely love this area. To make it even better, the southerly has come through, and everything seems to be right again. TFTC
Great little cache that had us scrabbling around for a while, until the obvious...!Log is wet but still able to sign. ....../ ).....' /---' (_____.TFTC . ((__)..... _ ((___)....... -'((__)--.___((_)
when i saw this on my map as i was walking away from sublime point, i was sorely tempted to do as the locals probably do and hug the treeline of the golf course.. but i didn't wanto disturb things, so instead walked all the way around the 'block' to this quiet corner of the course. The cache was found quickly and it looked so iconic i even took a photo. non spoiler photo attached log signed i began the long trudge home. thanks pjmpjm for taking me here with a geocache. this is cache number 4479 ?
Watched a muggle chipping onto the 14th, then went in for the find. OCW Brewmaker. TFTC pjmpjm
I was too busy looking low and at some golfers before EverestHigh told me to look up. TFTC
I think this cache was a bit easier than normal due to the fact it was recently replaced without camo according to the recent logs, but the spectacular view is what I think this cache is about

Found with eemiaj while caching around the Katoomba area, the 2nd day of our visit, log signed as BE5150.
Another quick find, TFTC

Muggled. And not a single DNF! C'mon guys . . . Anyhow, replaced with a very similar hide.
No logs on this one for quite a while now. Guess I should drive over and check on it.
I found it! I was thinking and looking with a different hide in mind but came up with the goods anyway. TFTC
I will placed yet very tricky one to find and no longer in a camouflage container small silver tube micro.
Last one for me today I think, time to grab some lunch and hit the road back to Sydney, thanks so much PJMPJM for the caches. Tftc
Took us a while until we stopped to gaze around. Then it became obvious. Dreaming of buying the house across the road. Only 1.45 million. TFTC.
This one was pretty clever, though it took me a while to get the log out. TFTC!
found with Chippyddd and geodog and georabbit. Cache and logbook are dry. No room for SWAPS or drops. SL TFTC TFTH Replaced cache as found ready for the next cacher
No. 11 for the day. Found alongside my geo buddy Mystic Seer. A sneaky hide, great camo. SL TFTH TFTC. Thanks goes to the CO for bringing us to this location. The view from the street to the mountains are truly magnificent. Thanks to the CO for bringing us to this location.
Went back today so we could tick off this find before we head home- thanks for replacing, even if only temporarily ??
Thanks to the two geocachers who left DNFs and 'needs maintenance' logs. I've just driven over to the golf course and made temporary repairs. The present log isn't waterproof but should last for a couple of days until I can bring a better 'inner' container.
Found where cache should have been (based on another find near Sublime Pt) but cache was gone ??
Pretty sure we found the camouflage, but sadly the cache was missing (as far as we could tell).
Players on the 14th paid me no attention as I searched for the cache. Good simple camo worked really well and worth a FP from us. TFTC pjmpjm
Easy little park and grab. The cache is in good condition, signed and replaced. Thanks pjmpjm for placing the cache
Read all the comments and looked at photos but still no luck. Will try again another day
This cache was actually still in the vicinity, but had suffered from a violent kind of 'cache creep' . . . Looks like someone threw it over the Leura Golf Course fence! Or maybe the recent winds were more violent than I realised. Anyhow, nice new log scroll inserted, and the cache and its camo replaced in the correct spot.
No luck today. Golfers looking for golf ball; maybe cache and golf ball ran away together.
Found tyftc. Magnificent view after a stormy night. Mother nature is just beautiful. Trying to beat a local geo to 1500 finds before dec 31.
Loved it
Unfortunately lost my gps between here and end of the sublime road!
Retraced steps but gone??,!
No more caching for me this holiday!!!

A similar theme to some other caches from today, relatively easy to find. Very quiet part of the world!
Not sure what it is about today, finding a few caches that we have spent ages on in the past!
Found this one easily, good hiding spot, TFTC

The coordinates were very jumpy but we managed to use our brains and come up with the find tftc
TFTC was looking in the wrong natural camo but guess what found it out on adventures with Squirrels0291 and her Geohubby
Out and about in the mountains this weekend, picking up a few caches on the travels! Thank you for the cache pjmpjm. Favourite point from us ! : )
A nice simple hide, but very effective. A nice quiet street for a quick grab. The log was wet so I dried it out using the car heater. I think the container has blown an o-ring and so will probably get wet again. TFTC.
Nun haben wir Mal wieder eine Internet-Verbindung und ich kann euch sagen, dass es hier sehr schön war. Ich danke für s zeigen der wunderbaren Landschaft und Grüße aus Berlin und Rheinsberg.
And here we are. It is 2022, and after moving my life half the world away to Australia, discovering that Geocaching there without my friends was not as fun, generally trying to survive Australian fauna and flora and finding a job, only doing Geocaching on occasion during 2019, and then the pandemic hitting in 2020 and putting almost a complete halt to all traveling and finding, plus finally coming back to Europe to try and redo my life here this year… I have decided to sit down and log online all of the records I had gathered offline during these years. Some are lost forever (don’t trust your phone for years on end with offline logs), but hopefully I will manage to recover enough logs to paint a few broad strokes of what these years were, and the places they took me to.
Apologies in advance to all owners for this (in some cases, very) delayed logging. I can only say that sometimes we are not in the best place, and it takes time to find oneself. Thanks in advance for the hides, the places you took me to, and the stories you shared in the way.

A friend has recently moved to Leura and we come and visit here and help with some things in the new house a couple of weekends during the late summer. Our second Saturday is more touristy and we do a handful of geocaches around Leura and Katoomba, enjoying the views of different parts in the area. The Blue Mountains are a wonder of nature.

I was looking for this yesterday but ran out of time, so came back with rogerW3 and found it with his help. Replaced soggy log with new paper. Signed and returned as found. TFTC
