As one of the nominated Bums workers, I had supplies with me in case this one really was missing. Like many, I took the most difficult path up to GZ via the line maintenance track on the Picton side and through the bush. After an extensive search and noting that this should be renamed BE2375's, instead of ZA1823, I concluded that there have been pole replacements here. This may have disturbed the hide. I used one of my pre-prepared containers and placed it in the small section of scrub between and beside the new poles on the Havelock side. Then, from here, I took the much easier way down that brought me out not far from the geomobile.
Found it after a steep short walk as mentioned in the previous comments. Not sure if there's a right or wrong way to get there!
Easy find once at the location.
Log is wet and would require a change.

Bit of a scramble to get to this one, the hide was kind of what I expected given the title. Had a good look around - looks like the best way down is the same way I came up. TFTC Bum.
Today RG1972 and I went for a drive down QC drive to find a few caches around Momorangi and then Picton on our return. A great day, spring is definitely just round the corner, we had a nice hill walk, some impromptu scrambling, took some cool photos (including more RG72 selfies with me geocaching) and had a good late lunch in Grovetown on the way back. Thanks all.

Family of ferral goats here today too. Staying Aussie bay on RV tonight. Magic spot. Tftc
A short getaway to catch up with family on the Mainland and drive some roads not travelled before.
Took the easy way up, container loose on the ground next to pole. Covered with bits of wood to help keep it from getting blown away.

A nice quick find today. Getting to GZ was a bit harder, I chose the NOrthern access which was full of chopped down trees. Naturally I took the much easier way back to the car!
It's time to start the trek home. Today the plan is to grab a few nearby caches on a lap of Queen Charlotte Drive and Havelock and Blenheim.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Hard walk up, but rewarding when you see that sliver of ocean in the distance.
Terrain is a little misleading considering that we took the hardest way up and found the wide path afterwards
Log is wet, probably needs a change

On our annual trip to the Tron today. We left in time to take the scenic route and to make a couple of cache stops.
This was our first stop. I had a dnf here in 2013 and see that it hadn't been found in the last 23 months. I climbed up the track not harbouring a lot of home, popped out at the top, looked in the obvious place and there it was smiling at me.
Log a bit damp but still easy enough to write on.
So happy to turn a blue face into a smilie.
Thanks for the random cache bumandworker.

MY gps from geo map has problems here..searched very long where to go up or down .FROM Swiss guy!
Great bush bashing with the mutt to the top. Hoping to find the easier way down! Thanks
Mr W had to do a 'site visit' at Momorangi Bay for work today. The perfect excuse for a Geocaching adventure. Shame about the rain ALL day :-/ This one had been on the list for such a long time that we made a wee detour especially to see this smiley on our map! The week of rain made this a perilous feat for Mr W - the rest of us just laughed in the car. TFTC
A fleeting visit on a stunning but frosty winter day. As is often the way with these caches, after the find I found the route I should have followed on the way in - which was more of a direct line/ brute force approach. All in good order, tnlnsl, tftc.
22/03/17 - Have to admin I didn't much enjoy this one, the entryway was hidden and I scrambled through some of the bush to get to the cache, even on the way back out, the track was less than desirable, however, a find's a find. tftc
With the Grovetown CITO behind me, its off to Linkwater School for their fun day and a few caches on the way.
Yep scrambled around the circuitous route before finding the track back down. Cheers

Damn i went up the wrong way, what a scramble easy way down though , i should have opened my eyes and read the instructions . A good hide ,Thanks B & W
We're visiting from Florida, USA. That was great fun but a terrain rating of two understates the difficulty. Thanks for placing the cache.
It is day three of a three day weekend (Waitangi Day) which gives me the opportunity to boost my numbers in the local area. On Saturday, in the company of Kiwimykl I have done some local Blenheim caches along with the route to Picton and a few Picton caches. Sunday's caching involved the Port Underwood Road and some more of the Picton caches and today's effort involves the Queen Charlotte Drive, Anakiwa and the route between Havelock and Blenheim. As we were time-limited we decided to target PnGs or those caches only involving a short walk.
We left the car parked at the previous cache and made our way on foot to this. Kiwimykl was keen to get this one as he needed it for an alphabet challenge cache in Motueka. We took to the bush and tried the direct route for a bit before noticing a wide path that made its way up to GZ, things got a lot easier from then for a QEF at GZ.

After dropping off Miss 16 at the airport this morning for her school trip to Cambodia/Laos I was needing something to take my mind off a whole month without her.
This is a perfect way of distracting me and being out in the stunning marlborough weather is an added bonus.
A wee drive along the Queen Charlotte drive to finish off the afternoon. Parked up at the road by Aussie bay entrance - and walked down for that cache... then I struggled to find the track for this one - oh well - ended up pretending to be a goat and scrambled up the hill. Should have been a terrain 4 for me here today - QEF once I got to GZ - then I looked around and saw the track. Easy downhill back to the car.
Typical....... TFTC B&W

Day#2 of our trip to Picton via Port Underwood Road and time to head home to Richmond, via another scenic route, of course. Another stunning sunny day and lots of interesting places visited so many thanks to all the COS for their cache placements.
The access point we found, which was quite close to the cache, definitely wasn't a 2 star terrain! Didn't take long to get to the cache, though and another one bagged today. TFTC.

#10024. Took a bit of trial and error to locate a way of getting to GZ. The route to GZ was steep and slippery, but once there the cache was a quick find. TFTC.
[green] After catching up with the two Taybees for morning tea, then a walk around some of my caches around Whites Bay, near Blenheim, we headed out here for the afternoon, an area I had picked because it is full of caches that none of us had visited.
I and the Taybees had tried for this some time ago, but we came up the wrong way and it was a massive bush-bash stupid idea. So we gave up. This time we found the nice easy route up. Well, sort of east. TaybeeNZ found the easy way down, and now his knees are sore. But their colour now match his pants, so that's all good. And it provided a lot of entertainment for myself and the older Taybee!

[green] Another classic example of a cache that needs a trail head waypoint. And this time we could not find the trail head, so bush bashed up, but could not get closer than 40m, defeated by some very thick bush. We could have dropped back down and tried from another angle, but we have too much to do and decided to drop this cache.
It took us three attempts to find a way into this cache, but once we did, it was reasonably straightforward getting to the cache, which was then a quick easy find. TFTC
A bit of a leg stretch while caching along Queen Charlotte Drive, a straight forward find, TFTC.
A great Spring day for a caching run. Mrs Sobad and Sidewaze made a good team - Mrs planned the day and Sidewaze drove. We made a great team here as well - spotted the easy way to GZ on the way in rather than on the way out which she often does. Then the GPS was giving options until Sidewaze spotted the reason for the name and Mrs spotted the cache.
Thanks.
Thanks.
No goats here today, not 4-legged ones anyway. Spent a while looking in the obvious places before the aha moment came. TFTC
As we arrived near GZ, we weren't quite sure where the best access place was to find the hidden track. After a short walk on the road I decided to stick my head in the bush and have a look. Found the old track leading up the hill easy enough. Nice bit of exercise for the day to reach the top. Found the cache easily once there. Definitely more than a terrain level 2 I think!! We enjoyed our trip through the Queen Charlotte Drive (taking the long way to Picton) and it was a beautiful day in the Nelson - Marlborough area too! Thanks for the cache and the smiley.
Managed to make this one a far more difficult bush bash than was necessary. Saw a nice wee entrance point that looked like a track - and it was a track for a short distance. Took the wider obvious route back. TFTC #5593
Definitely not a good place to go in jandals! The baby gorse are prickly. Great hiding place though
This time we read the past logs and found the easy entrance then just needed to climb the slope. Easy find and a nice view. TFTC
Found a GSAK page of unlogged finds from Feb 2014 this was one of them, sorry for the late log. I wonder how many caches I've found and forgotten to log over the years.... maybe a hundred, maybe more easier these days with logging from the field on my phone. TFTC
Quick and easy even without the GPS, bush bashed straight up and took the track back down. Got puffed - must get fitter.
Ok, wow. What I thought would be a relatively straight forward park, quick climb and grab turned into quite a mission. I parked just beyond the second 'Aussie Bay' DOC sign (heading west) and my GPSr indicated I was about 40m from GZ. Now, to find the track! I wandered up and down but couldn't see anything obvious, until I was almost opposite the Aussie Bay campsite driveway. I had to jump a muddy little stream but the 'track' seemed to be heading in the right direction...at first. I decided to bush bash up a steep hill, which wasn't easy, so I was dismayed to find that I was over 90m from GZ when I reached the top of the ridge. More gorse and bush bashing later and I found myself in a gully with steep sides, and my GPSr telling me I had to scale another steep(er) slope! I emerged, scratched by bracken and gorse, covered in biddy-bids, sweaty and slightly bemused by the area around GZ. Spotted the well-hidden cache, reached for my pencil and realized I must have lost it during my 30 minute bush odyssey. Sigh. So I have attached a non-spoilery photo of the log book as proof of finding. Spotted the track on the other side of GZ and was surprised indeed that it took only 3 minutes to descend back to the road. And where did the track emerge? Next to my car! D'oh! This cache deserves a fave point for the adventure factor (for me) alone. For those who wish to use the sensible route, the trail head is at approx. S41 16.405' E173 55.647'. TFTC

B and W, what a brilliant cache. Wondered where we were heading to with the Scooby Doo Gang initially but all revealed itself. TFTC
Great location for a cache. But very disappointed we couldn't find it. I reckon someone has removed it ? Maybe the goats ate it ?
After finding the right way up it was still a work out. GZ was barren and all seemingly possible hiding places were checked.
No grab here today. NHA and Not Chosen! Ugh. Not at base of power poles. Not under metal strapping, that I could see. Wasn't interested in looking in the small bushes of gorse. Presumably I was looking for a film canister judging by the difficulty level.
We saw a goat crossing the road just before the cache but none at GZ today, it was quite a muddy trip up though.
whoops, wrote the wrong date in the log! nice wee spot cache was out about 1/2m away from ZA1823, so i put back in a better spot. thanks, i enjoyed this one!
ps. log is a little damp, but i still managed to write in pen with no problems

Dam it... I have missed the route and did quiet steeply bush-bashing to reach this cache. But it was really awesome hide and easy if you think over. TFTC really much! Nice cache!
#513, found during my kiwi traveling. Log in june, because I was without net. TFTC
Tripped over a vine and cut my head! Blood everywhere! Quick jog back to car for wipes and then off we went again..found on ground away from GZ so put it where it might have been but not really sure sorry!
Took Eliie to this one but we didn't find the access track until almost at gz. That was after doing a full 360 degree scramble of the coordinates. Lost my pen in the bush somewhere so took photo of cache as proof of finding it. TFTC.

Was wondering whether I would attempt this or not then as I drove by I spotted an access track and there was parking close. A short steep walk then spotted the cache instantly. Signed log, TFTC!
Managed to pick the correct access no problem. I suspect this was a vehicle track at one point given it's width and final destination, but for something a bit more agile than ADV's geo-mobile.
Log was a bit wet but a great wee spot, and a nice hide

Went up the wrong track to start with but managed a bit of a bush bash to the right site. TFTC
Knew what I was looking for as I often refer to these in my work situation as a location point. As we approached GZ an appropriate vision for today - the moon looking like a ball over the goal posts!!!! Stiff tramp in and a careful return trip. TFTC. TNLN.
Just a dawdle after the Momorangi caches, very fimiliar with these numbering systems, good cache. TFTC.
FTF Another quiet day on the work front so the lure of a couple of FTFs and a good walk was enough to get me on the road. The path to GZ is certainly short and sharp! Liked the hiding place for this one a lot. TFTC, Biggles.
