Logs
As there's been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
Didn't find it, was looking with SirJOz and AmethystPig. I'm quite sure it's not there if half a dozen experienced cachers can't find it.
Couldn't find this with AmethystPig after the nearby 3rd leap event. We looked and looked and looked some more. There was lots of signs of prior searching, but at that stage no-one else had logged a DNF so we persisted. We were joined by Danozz after a while to continue the search but our ever increasing search radius proved futile. Danozz moved on, then the rain started so we decided that dinner beckoned. With a 1.5/1.5 cache rating, and all the (now logged) DNFs I feel pretty confident in logging that is is absent.
Unfortunately, if maccamob and pprass, who I met on the way to this cache, can't find it, I have to believe that it's not there. This is a great site for a cache melbournechica, would hope that you get a chance to replace it.
Thanks for bringing me here anyway, it is a terrific site with all the rowers wandering past with the 4's and 8's on their way to training.

DNF at 3:58:14 PM. We looked for quite some time and noticed that grey lumps of stone were strewn all over the place - hope it wasn't cacher's at work there. Met up with Bogonghazey and we still couldn't find it.
I found the previous cache here, and thought that this might also have been an easy find. I was out caching with Biggles Bear #1 and we were heading to the 3rd Leap cache event, and stopped by to look for this cache. He had already done it, but together we still couldn't find it.
At that stage, the last log was a find. Since then, I have now seen Pprass' DNF, so now I don't feel so bad not finding it. This is a great location, so I hope it can be resurrected (assuming that it has gone). Thanks for placing it.

We looked high, we looked low, we looked in, we looked out, but today there was no way we could work this one out!
Our caching eye detected that a thorough search had been conducted prior to our arrival, but we looked for 30 minutes without success - suspect it's been muggled.
Thanks for the hunt anyway melbournechica .

Looked for ages while enjoying lone drummer hammering away, sounded great in the amphieheatre. Alas didnt help me find the cache.
Called in on our way to the 3rd Leap Event. We'd found the previous cache here with no trouble, but this one was a different story. Just as we arrived with pprass from one direction, bogonghazy arrived from the othet. We all searched around for a good 15 minutes, gradually widening the search area in the process. Found many stones scattered about, but no sign of a cache anywhere. Our thanks anyway to melbournechica.
last one for the afternoon on the bike. was going to leave this one - thought it would be too busy on a Saturday, but the parties were a fair way off so in I went. immediately to hand. Thanks melbournechica.
I've never been to this spot before and it was absolutely beautiful. Quick find but then stayed longer just to look around. Thankyou melbournechica!
I used to come here to watch women's circus 15 years ago.
Great to come back.

Was having an Australia Day BBQ within 10 meters of the cache and was showing a mate what geocaching is only to find one practically under our noses. TFTC :-]

Found it after going on bike ride to the city with rebel acts thanks for the cache
8/9 for today. Again, I was initially confused by this one as I remember finding another cache very close by and hidden the same way (although I can't remember the name ... I think it even had the same clue). Anyway, managed to log a sneaky find despite being watched by a group of party people dressed in very retro but very cool outfits. Great day for an outside party, that's fo sho. TFTC melbournechica.
Found by Darren amongst a lot of muggles. Simone and Ruby did the main bit of scouting. Took the little crab and left crayons.
Thanks for the Cache!
Thanks for the Cache!
Nice find, worked this cache into my evening jog- have been to boat house a few times but had never noticed amphitheater , what a great spot, thanks Chica!
3/01/12 5:48 PM Find #723 What a great location and a surprise! I've been in Melbourne now for over a year after moving from NZ so caching works well in discovering places like this. Thanks Melbournechica for bringing me here and for the well hidden cache. I dropped off "Getaway Tag" for a layover in this nice spot.
While nightcaching and searching for GZ, I had left my caching ale in the centre of the amphitheatre. While ferreting around at GZ a small fox knocked over and drank my beer. Cheeeky bloody fox. TFTC

Been here many times running up those bloody stairs! Never realised there were some others hiding around the corner. TNLN, TFTC!
Nice to see it make a comeback - Awesome place to visit!
Nice easy pick....even more so found totally exposed - doubt it would have survived the W/E had I not turned up. Signed log and re-cammoed.
Thx for the cache melbournechia

Had a feeling I had been to this one before and other peoples logs explain why. Thanks for the cache even if it wasn't a new location.
Such a nice day for it. Found it pretty quickly and avoided the muggles doing cardio on the amphitheater steps! TFTC
From here on in, the lead up to Christmas is starting, so I was please to be able to fit in a few cache finds this morning. I am trying to clear out the 10km circle around my house and this cache was within range. On arrival at the cache area, I kind of thought the area looked familiar. There was an old cache here (http://coord.info/GC256MZ) and you have chosen the exact same place to hide yours! Wow, what a co-incidence. I hope yours doesn’t end up in caching heaven like the old one did. Thanks for the cache Melbourne Chica.
Very beautiful and creepy place to be at night, but after a bit of a performance from one of our group members we found it, thanks for the cache!
Visiting for a function nearby, liberal use of the clues and the find was made without GPS.

Hmmm........ is it Groundhog Day today?
Just as I got to GZ a couple of other cyclists pulled up at a nearby picnic table but luckily they basically ignored me as I retrieved, signed and returned the cache. This is a beautiful spot and youngest daughter has played in this amphitheatre a couple of times. Thanks for putting a cache here melbournechica.

was a quiet grey wednesday morning. so it was easy to get the cache .thankyou for bringing me here.[:x]
With the car out of action today I was glad to be able to walk to a cache on my lunchbreak.
The trouble was that there were two women set up for a picnic almost on top of GZ . I had to wait some time until they were off chasing their dogs down before I could pounce and retrieve the cache.
Cheers melbournechica, thanks for getting me out on a beautiful day.

Found easily in plain sight even though there were muggles sitting around. After signing the log it gave it more camo so it would not be so prone to being muggled. TFTC melbournechica
We missed this one last time we were in the area, as there was an event on in the amphitheater, with people sitting virtually on top of GZ. Not busy today, though we did get to spy on a lovely wedding for a little while. TNLN SL. Thanks!
A rainy morning was the perfect time to be here and yes I have been here before and sure enough I knew where to look. I even checked the logbook to see if I had signed it before but no, so I added my log.
Always a pleasure to come down here
Thanks

I am sure I have been here before! We were walking around the area, just passing by, so we dropped in. A loverly day to be walking near the river.
Thanks, Robmc.
Thanks, Robmc.
Claimed on our return from a nearby puzzle cache. Lots of tourists around today enjoying the intermittent sunshine. TFTC
We have often noticed this architectural feature but it seems hardly used. It was extra quiet today so had a leisurely find at 4:14pm. TNLN TFTC
I knew where to go as this is in my stamping ground. Left a crab, took a koala. Thanks melbournechica.
Found on a nice day out at the river.
Hmmm..a case of Déjà vu, I thought to myself, surley the cache is not in the same place as the last Ampitheatre cache. But yes...there it is.

After looking for the previous cache in this location some months ago, I sort of had an idea where this one might be. The geoson and I wandered down to the amphitheatre and walked straight up to the cahce location. I spied the obvious spot as the geoson unveiled the cache. After a big high five we signed the log and went back to teh car. I really love this spot and would love to come back for a picnic one day. Don't tell anyone but we threw a few stones into the water from nearby bridge. My sone loved them splash as they hit the water. thanks melbournechica for replacing the cache as a new posting. cheers A.
Found it together with nadya. Had to wait for the area to become clear from muggles, spent this time having a nice walk on a nearby trails and bridge. TFTC!
Our local. Came for eine kleine Nacht cache while the dog hunted for possums but didn't catch any. Hide tricky, but not too tricky for us tonight. We'll bring the kids back.
One of those caches that is all downhill to GZ, which of course means an uphill walk back to the geomobile - I really need to do this more often! Anyway, great place for a cache which I found this evening after a short search. Thanks to melbournechica for the well hidden cache.
Found it this afternoon after dropping mrs Iamapom off at the airport for her work trip to NZ for a few weeks.
Sadly, on the way to this, I saw the aftermath of a woman being run over by a BMW on Merri Parade. Let's hope she's ok, but from what I saw I doubt it.

TFTC. Love the location. Just went mountain biking and thought I would have a look for some caches.
Found @ 14:10hrs. I also had been here before,I believe in March this year. Thanks for the new cache.
For the third time tonight, I had a definite feeling of déjà vu while finding a cache but at least with this one, it was placed by a different team to the one that placed the original cache . With time running short, I did have to check the hint after which I was soon signing the log at 21:20.
TNLNSL, although a couple of our geocoins had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks melbournechica.

Easy find early Sunday morning, and got to watch the kayaking muggles lug their gear down the hill and launch, too!
I needed a find today to fill in the third last day on the calendar. After a major DNF in the city I was glad that I had held onto this one as it was well after dark that I managed to get there. It was a too easy find as it was very exposed although intact. Thanks to melbournechica for the cache.
Hit the road for another one of our night caching runs with my good mate Blacklegend (Marshy). Our route would take us from Ivanhoe, on to the city to grab some new caches, and then out to Lilydale and then down to Belgrave.
First find for the night, and a nice quick find. Love this location which used to have another nearby cache. Thanks for bringing us back here.

Found on another legendary night caching run with my good mate Marty (Quasar3671). Have done one here a little while ago, in almost the same spot. Was impressed then with the bluestone amphitheater, and am still impressed. TFTC.
30/08/2011 00:21 {*FTF*} It was late at night and I was out collecting my one box-a-day. Sill's Bend was that cache so on the way home I thought I would collect a Munzee as well, when my modem tone fired off telling me a new cache had been published. It was still a few minutes to midnight so it was going to be after midnight when I arrived giving me a find on the 30th as well. A quick read of the listing had me suspecting where this one was located. Putting on my headlamp resulted in one of the plastic arms breaking off so I shall be contacting the seller to see what can be done. I had purchased two, so swapped to the backup unit and off I went. On arrival I recognised the area from the earlier cache that was here a few months back. A quick search soon had the box in hand and YAY I was first! I saw no-one at the car-park so figured I was in with an excellent chance here. Oddly enough I heard noises as I was signing the log so turned out my lights. I think kids were crossing the nearby bridge on their bikes, though why they were out at this time I have no idea! TFTC melbournechica Took GCA pathtag as the FTF prize. LN SL

**2TF** Found at 2.40pm by Mrs 80. After finishing the days duties headed off to find this new one. Having found the last cache in this spot this was a quick easy find - signed the log and left a TB before heading homeward and some more shopping duties. TFTC
5.45 On my way home from work I decided to take the caching way home. This is a lovely part to the Yarra. What a place to have a concert etc. Nice easy find although there were muggles about bringing up their canoes.
