Thought Id finally stop and get this cache after a night shift at work when there would be less people driving past. Nice quick find. Tftc!
I had driven past this cache only a couple of weeks ago whilst visiting Springfield, and then realised it was more of a on-the-way geocache, rather than a detour back to grab it. Subsequently, this cache was my first find for the day/evening, and I parked alongside a couple of truckloads. A nice little historical plaque, and the cache was quickly discovered in its fairly good concealed spot. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks 5Meerkats for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. I did ponder whether the train ended up getting built here, or is it still on its way to go past here? ----------This evening, I ventured to Springfield Central and nearby Spring Mountain Forest Park with the lure of a newly published geocache. A drizzly afternoon-evening, so it was a little damp yet dry for my late-night walk.
Choo Choo! Great spot with some good parking. Had a read of the sign as well before making the discovery of the cache. Log signed and business taken care of, it was time to hit the frog and toad to the next cache just a little bit further down.
Cheers for the cache and the fact that it probably is the only reason people stop to read the dedication

I drive past this one all the time and today I finally remembered to stop in the right place. Nice quick cache find. Thanks for showing me this thing which I might otherwise never have noticed.
I found a nice big area to pull over here and made a quick find. Thanks for placing this cache 5Meerkats

It was a Girls’ caching antics day today, and although we didn’t have a KBreeAHH with us, SaintsMadHouse, Cosmonaut97 and I did have Signal the Frog standing in for her, and fully intended on a day of fun and frivolities.
Our day had come to an end, and we were heading back to where we had left 2 of the geomobiles this morning, but we decided we would stop and collect this one. Unfortunately it was more challenge getting to it than expected as we were coming from the opposite way, so had to do some significant detouring to get to where we needed to be. Luckily SaintsMadHouse had already done this one so knew exactly where to pull up, allowing Cosmonaut97 and I to dash over and make our final grab for the day.
There was no view for us tonight as we end our day of adventure.
Thanks for the cache 5Meerkats.

Found with 1minniemoo and saintsmadhouse today on an outing to turn these greenies into smilies. After discussing this adventure for the last month or so, we had decided that today was going to be the day....and that was about as much planning as had been completed prior to meeting up in a semi central location. From there, we had a more solid plan at least until lunch. It was a great day and I got home roughly 13 hours after I left :> We have plans for our next adventure but no dates - we'll get there :>
Finally stopped after driving past this one heaps of times. Nice quick find. TFTC
Needing some more finds in Ipswich for a personal challenge I came out here this morning
Not sure if I did this as CO intended. But my name is now in the log

I am working at Augustine Heights again today, and made sure I stopped in the correct place on my way to work this morning to claim a smilue here. There was ample parking and the cache was a quick find. All nice and dry in it's hidey hole. Name in the log and back on the road to work for me. Tftc!
Found with tic toc. We were not that far away on our first attempt. Managed to get onto the right approach after a lengthy deviation and then made a nice easy find. TFTC
Once we finally made the turn off and got to the parking spot it was easy to find and really fun! Great little hiding spot!
In the area today grabbing a few caches. This was our last find for today. Parked nearby and made our way to GZ. Located the cache, signed the log and replaced as found. TFTC
Traffic was a bit light today so were able to stop easily to grab this cache. Kids love knowing it’s there now and left a swap. TFTC
Our original plan for today was to head south west for a caching day around Stanthorpe.
Well, you know what they say …
"The best laid schemes o' Mice an' Men,
Gang aft agley,
An' lea'e us nought but grief an' pain,
For promis'd joy! "
Translation ...
(The best laid schemes of Mice and Men
oft go awry,
And leave us nothing but grief and pain,
For promised joy!)
… Robert Burns, To a Mouse (Poem, November, 1785)
Well, ours went astray as we were distracted by several FTFs being publishing closer to home.
Having secured 5 FTFs for this morning (so far!) we decided to put our Stanthorpe trip off for another day & continue with a few more nearby caches instead.
Another nice easy find for us this morning.
Very little traffic passing so we were left to do the deed in peace.
Quickly located the cache.
Made our mark & replaced as found.
YES, we read the plaque! LOL …

We are nomads. Having left Perth WA in February 2014 we now live in our caravan and go wherever the will or caches take us.
Recently completing a stretch of work for the GC2018 Games. Time to get back to normal.
Visiting the area while Mrs Felix was in the nearby Marta Hospital for knee surgery.
Welll... How many more roundabouts does one have to negotiate between caches.
The cache was full of water. The cache lid was totally smashed.
Replaced with a new container. All good now..

Cache container, as others have noticed, is not water tight and needs replacement.
Unable to effect repairs, log book wet. New log sheet left.

Was out and about today and though of finding a cache . We were out in the Springfield area so I thought of finding this one. I parked near the offramp and headed over to the cache. On arrival of GZ the cache was quickly found . Thanks for the cache 5Meerkats . TFTC!!!
Didn't even know this plaque existed here the container is a bit cracked so water might be an issue when it rains. Everything inside was fine never the less. TFTC!
Sometimes I just don't understand why you need to put a cache on this spot. Strange but cache is in good condition.
Was running late for a play date with RoddyC, Nadine1989, joojoo57, KerriMG after attending to some business at home. A quick stop, walk, read, grab, sign logbook, replace cache and on my way to our rendezvous.
Not sure if I placed the lid back properly as hinge is broken.

Geocaching day at Springfield area: 20 cache target with 5 Mysteries , a Multi and a Letterbox. Can we do it? With such a great team (2 RoddyCs, Joojoo57, Nadine1989 at the start, then joined shortly after by KerriMG, and after lunch Patrol14 and Sewrainbow join in), who says we can't do it!
So this is the first for the day - a pull over on a nice wide apron and this is indeed a quick park and grab
Log signed by all & replaced again. Found at 8.55am on 28th July 2016. TFTC

After finally finding the correct way to approach this cache we quickly found and signed the cache then read the plaque. TFTC.
Being local I have been wanting to grab this one for a while. Missing the exit wasn't an issue, but as I hadn't looked closely at the relative location I pulled over a bit too early. Those ripple strips sure wake you up.
Cache was easy to find once the clue was used. TFTC.

Haha. Drove straight past this one in error. Know what everyone means about the swear jar if you miss the turn off (or drive straight past while too busy talking). Took the scenic route and finally logged the find. TFTC.
While in the area of another cache took the opportunity of a quiet morning to grab this one as it bugs me every time I drive past it every day...
I have always seemed to go by this cache from the wrong side, but today I knew I was coming the right way, so I concentrated and pulled off the road in the right spot. Over to the plaque, and shazam! One clip seems to have come away (if there was one) but everything's good inside. I was startled to hear voices at one point. There were workers doing something way up high, but I'm pretty sure they didn't see me and there wasn't much traffic. TFTC with a challenge of approach!
Out today with Geo wife & Forbiddenground & his Geo son. A nice quick find & seen on approach. tftc
Today we explored Springfield and surrounds using geocaching as a guide. Parked near the plaque and found GZ easily. Left TB.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

#420 on a special day. Geolze and I tried for A rocky situation 2 nearby but again DNF'd. Have travelled over this one for the last year and finally got it. Took t/b, left Yoda.
TFTC. Finally stopped to grab this one. Lots of traffic today, but just nipped in and out to grab cache. Still in great condition
Quick find after dropping the terrorists at school.
TNLN TFTC
I'll pop back later and drop off some trackables.

we were headed out to the hardware store here this morning and thought we'd try for this one. I have driven past this quite a few times, but never ended up in the right spot...
In the end it was all rather easy. Pull up geomobile beside GZ, Mrs PJATPAC grabs the loot, swaps made in car, loot returned and on our way.
Cheers 5meerkats... the August geostreak continues
