That got the heart pumping. I wondered what I had. Great spot. Visited on my bike. Thanks for bringing me here. TFTC

I spent almost an hour here digging around the hint under broken wood pieces to no avail. I tried messaging the owner regarding replacing the cache, but with no reception and knowing they probably wouldn't get back to me for ages and myself not get back here for ages, I decided to replace it. Should the CO not want this, they can throw the replacement away. Having only a micro cache in my car I had to get inventive to increase its size. As I'd upgraded the new 'cache container' last week I had no problems parting ways with the old one.

I was parched before arriving here so after all my efforts I felt like I was dying of thirst. Having so much water rushing past me here was rubbing salt in the wound, and who wants salt when they are so thirsty! My original plan was to head home via the Richmond Range so I headed across the creek and spied a bush lemon tree with lemons so ripe they looked like oranges. I grabbed one, cut it up with my trusty multitool, sucked as much juice out of it as I could, shuddered with the sourness, and went at it a few more times. I laughed at myself for how desperate I was for fluid (I did prep water for the trip today but left it on the bench at home) and decided I should take the shortest route to a shop. Besides, it was mid afternoon and I hadn't eaten either.

I enjoyed this area. Maybe not the smell so much. Thanks. Smile

I found the tall log but the map said it wasn't near it I was confused and gave up

Out for a drive and found this while exploring the dam area. Tftc

Thought this was supposed to be damaged but it appeared water tight. Have put the log in a plastic bag and placed it a bit higher just off the ground that might be the reason for the previous few comments about being damp or in water. All is good otherwise the hide is getting overgrown but still accessible from the left side. Thanks for this oldie

Found with Rambolina
We zeroed in fine on an obvious GZ, but the stump stability was little questionable, and
then it was there in front of my eyes, not even covered with camo

Well from the last cache to this one we just kept hoping the road would keep going with no obstructions and wide enough for the car. We were fine and arrived here no worries. The hinted item was not visible but with a bit of crouching it was spotted and GZ and the cache found. Many thanks wolfweb and Beadzoo for placing the cache here ensuring we stopped and appreciated the area. Cheers!

Spent the morning touring around Toonumbar Dam, and this was the first cache on our radar. A nice easy find thanks to the great hint - using a phone as a de-facto gps has its drawbacks - Thanks wolfweb for showing us this lovely little picnic spot. Cheers from Bindair Dundat and Princess Madelyn.

We didn't exactly park close to this one. So we wandered over to GZ and as luck would have it not only was a car parked very close to GZ, a couple was also eager to walk to where we were headed.

Even though our walk was longer than it needed be it was a perfect afternoon and the countryside provided us with a gentle breeze and birdsong.

Found after a little bit of diversion 'work' (muggles). T4TC ww.

The plan is to find a few caches then head west to find Forest Giant and The Lost Garden of Eden. Big Grin
But first, this one. I was tempted to go for a swim but I do not have time. A short search before spotting this one. [^]

Visiting nearby with some geocaching buddies and Mr_07. Enjoyed a stroll down the road through this pretty bushland. With a bit of a stretch the cache was in hand and we were away to make more discoveries.

Thanks for the cache wolfweb!

Staying nearby in the cabins we came for a walk. Such a lovely area. I came down at 5:30am and witnessed the mist rising from the stream - such a pretty site. I wonder if there was a farm house nearby at some stage as there is a lemon tree close to the picnic shelter. Lots of birds today. TFTC

Staying at a nearby house and took advantage of a cool interlude after some rain to take a walk to this cache. Lovely area, lots of birds and some spectacular tall gums. TFTC wolfweb.

This is not a part of the world I would have normally visited, but I was invited to go along with a few geocaching friends to spend the first, few, fresh days of 2015 in a cabin a stone's throw from this geocache. It really is a magnificent area with abundant wildlife, silent serenity and miles from anywhere.

It has been raining a lot and even a few showers while we were here, so it is green and the creek flowing nicely. The dam is still about 18 inches below the spillway. I walked all the way around to the other side yesterday and planned to come back with the other 6 geocachers with me, but as is always the case, a group raid was not to happen.

Today though Net88 went for a morning explore by car and upon passing this spot, parked near the shelter and decided to grab the geocache. Initially I navigated us into impenetrable bush, but a backtrack and another entry point saw us right. Then only a few branches stood between me and the container. All in great condition here and likely with a few visits to come over the next few days. I hope this geocache brings many others to this beautiful area! TFTC wolfweb and Beadzoo Smile

I had been invited to spend a few days with some great caching friends at Toonumbar Dam. I had never been there before but the company was going to be good, it was going to be good to relax and there were a few geocaches nearby.

After breakfast this morning Captain Terror and I decided that we would go exploring. We jumped in the car and headed off, after checking out the dam wall and patting a friendly, but very sweaty horse, we decided to grab this geocache.

We parked the Subaru and I followed the Captain blindly like usual. Hmmm this is pretty thick, are you sure there isn't another way? We backtracked and followed a much nicer path towards GZ. When we got there the Captain signed our names before replacing the cache as found. Thanks for the cache wolfweb.

A weekend escape had us camping at Woodenbong followed by a day 4WDing through the National Parks in the area.....I was at ground zero and about to delve in and search when a red belly black snake slid by - so while I haven't signed the log I hope you will still accept this as a find - I got out of there very quickly........TFTC!!

Oops just realised I missed logging this one.
We went out the a drive today and managed to just stay in front of lcbails for most of the morning. We arrived at GZ and decided to syop for lunch.
Soon after lcbails drives up, then not long after Mattyrx drove up. Have a quick chat with all then we finished our lunch while they all went off in search of the cache.

We had just found ‘Gums of Logan’s Run’ nearby and were heading west toward the dam. As we drove down the little track from the accommodation at the dam we saw a couple of cars near where we expected GZ to be. Saw a few familiar faces – it was Waldenclan, about to search for the cache. We also met LCBAILS and chickcj82 who had just located it. It was nice to meet some other local cachers, especially in these surroundings. The son and I set off in search of the cache, while the wife (not interested in our hobby at all) took the daughter for a walk up a little track to get a closer look at the overflow. Once the cache was found by the boyz, we joined the other half up at the overflow and took in the views. This is a fantastic place for a hide. We really liked this one, and it gets a favourite point from me. We grabbed the TB from the cache and did a couple of swaps taking a shell and a butterfly, leaving a pathtag, magic bean and a hatching egg. Nice one Wolfweb and Beadzoo!
