Finally got back to this one to officially log our visit. The first time, we got there and our pen didn't work (lesson learnt to keep more than one in the car!). Brilliant spot
Another cache found with richlink.
We have enjoyed travelling The Eyre Peninsula using Geocahing as our guide. We have seen many interesting towns and locations along the way.
Thank you so much to the CO’s who have placed and maintained caches for the enjoyment of all.

Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. So once again trying and fill my calendar with multi-caches and complete loop 11 again this year. [^] For my third goal I will try and get my DNF numbers to single digits. That should keep me busy again this year! [:o)]
Off to the west coast for a Holiday. [^] Holiday Sal Style that is. We are sightseeing - if there happens to be a cache there - great - get it. Luckily caches are in really interesting spots anyway.
Day 8: Port Lincoln - Day trip to Lincoln National Park.
Heading out for a drive through the park we called in here and after a bit of searching i made the find.
***Thanks wheres wolly for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

Quick find on the way home after spending time time at Mikirra Station (lots of koalas spotted in the trees) and at the lookouts along the coast. TFTC!
Well it’s 2021 and I have finally said good bye to a not so great 2020 and it was great to finally be able to have a reasonable holiday as I have not had a decent break since 2019.
Made to South Australia and finally crossing the boarder and then being greeted by a couple of very friendly SA police offices for which i had the official paper work to allow me to enter.
After making my way west along the Eyre Hwy I went as far as Penong and the Eyre Hwy which I have not travelled along since the late 70’s when I was on a holiday with my folks and this was the last holiday before I started full time work as a sparkie and finding a few caches as I go.
Geocaching when towing a van is not always easy and I have to be a bit selective on which ones I decide to try and find for safe parking purposes especially along busy highways.
So after leaving Coffin Bay my next destination is Port Lincoln which is down the bottom of Eyre Peninsular off the Flinders Hwy.
I’m hoping for better weather soon I don’t mind it being cool just not rain showers when you are out and about.
Another new day in Port Lincoln and it is time to relocate the van and head down to the National Park so I got up early packed up and headed off.
So after setting up the van at Surfleet Campground it was time to explore the South West area and the weather is finally looking good.
Turned left out of the NP and was looking forward to where this road was going to take me.
Another reason to stop and check out the area and luckily I didn’t come across any quick sand.
The cache was soon spotted and I added my name to the log.
Thanks wheres wolly TFTC.

It was also a good spot to stop and air up our tyres after coming across the dunes from Wanna .

During our new years break, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I headed to the Eyre Peninsula to travel around the various coastal towns. We started the trip with Jeep trouble, but then continued in our alternative vehicle without 4WD to stick to the main tourist roads where possible. We travelled south-west to Tumby Bay and Port Lincoln via Whyalla, Cowell, Cleve, Arno Bay; west across to Coffin Bay; and then north-west to Streaky Bay and Ceduna via Elliston, and Venus Bay. We then headed back east staying in Kimba via Poochera, Wudinna, Lock, and Darke Peak.
Today, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I spent the day around Port Lincoln. We spent the morning seeing the town and marina, and then headed south travelling past Port Lincoln National Park to check out Whalers Way. It was still a little cold and nippy with the wind about, but otherwise a sunny day.
We found the recent replacement cache by Brad&Janet, where that Geocacher hasn't logged this one yet? How odd. As mentioned, the clue no longer makes sense to this container type. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks wheres wolly for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

Found on our Eyre peninsula extravanganza. Fascinating spot. Loved it
It has now got to the stage where we have over 750 draft logs waiting to be completed. These range back over at least a couple of years.
We are not a fan of generic logs but with everything that has been on our plates recently we reluctantly have to admit this may be the only way we can get this back log cleared. If your cache is in our backlog it usually means it is one that we wanted to spend more time creating a much more bespoke log than this. But we are not managing to achieve that goal. So in the interests of getting the backlog cleared we have decided to resort to this long form of TFTC as a way of getting a large number of them cleared.
We apologise for the lack of commentary specific to your cache or event. We are somewhat targeted in what we go after. There are unfounded caches within a few kilometres of our home which we published before we started 8 years ago. We have just never got around to o looking for them. We like unusual cache types, puzzles in particular, older caches, and tend to target a much more wider group of caches when we travel. We like remote caches and caches that bring us to an interesting place. It is likely that this cache found its way into our find list because it fits one of these criteria.
As cache owners we appreciate the effort that goes into hiding and maintains caches so thank you for that.

We made a decision to take a two week break and head to the Eyre Peninsula. We were keen to return to Coffin Bay and also to explore some less travelled areas.
We had three nights based in Cowell. One of the highlights there was a drive along the 4WD fire track along the top of the Drake Range.
Then we headed to Port Lincoln for five nights. We have been out to Memory Cove on one day and to Coffin Bay NP on another. We have explored the the town, seen stromatolites, and found a number of great eateries. And some special caches too.
Along the way we stopped at quite a few wheres wolly caches

well that was a quick find. wasn't expecting to get 20 months unloved. it's there and in good condition.
Day 6
I drove out of memory cove where i spent the night and via a few more caches dropped off the key and decided on the spur of the moment to go to whalers way for the afternoon. Then staying one more night in Port Lincoln before going back to chasing kayak caches.

We spent the night at Red Bluff, on Whaling Way, and found this cache as we drove out there. It seems the, previously replaced, cache is missing again. I replaced it with an eclipse tin, inside the rusty tube, and refitted the cap. tftc.
Found the remains of the cache camo. Replaced the cache and log with a M&M container inside the old rusty camo. Interesting location. TFTC
Found what appears to be the cache (rusted tube ), however the lid was a metre away and no log in sight.
Quick easy find on the way to the sand dunes. Found with Rusty19 & Jo&Alco. Container is very rusty surprised the log isn't wet.
Easy find. Container is damaged, probably burnt in the fire thag went through here.
Found it. Canister now rusting through. Added another piece of paper to record log, otherwise nothing else in cache. XanBrother.
This was no mere cache find [:o]
It was a wonderful stroll along the track to find a mere cache
The Mere looks good in the sunlight with a breeze blowing.
Such bright blue water should have flamingoes on it !!
I didn't taste the waters at GZ, but I know that they would be saltier than the Dead Sea

Mere is not a term used in Tasmania so had to google what it meant. So we learnt something from doing this cache!
A quick find of a cache that needs a little TLC.
Thanks.

A mere stop during a lovely drive of the southern EP, introducing friends to the joy of Geocaching. It was a superb location (logged 18/7/16 - yes, two years late!)
Found It with i, dax.

Can't believe it survived the fire. Lucky, I guess. It may not last too much longer, though, as it's almost disintegrated. Tftc13/06/2014 12:28 pm Find #692
Miss GG and myself were on Mini camping Holiday in Port Lincoln and we decided to break up our drive around the area and grab some caches on the way.
We hand picked all the caches this time on our way over and the caches that we did in Port Lincoln as its quite over whelming arriving at a new location with so many caches.. at the end of the day we use caching to make the drive to a location more interesting and not to do every single cache in the town.. as that will be no holiday at all. Gotta leave some for the next trip right?
Please forgive us for a generic log, as we are logging days after doing these caches, We enjoy the challenge of every cache and we try to put custom comments on the ones we remember.
Today we were making our way south for a little explore
Look like this cache was the lucky one... still here but the container needs some love
Thanks for the cache WheresWolly
Until next time - First thing you know I'll be back in Bow River again

oday was Darknstormy and my first full day in Port lincoln so we decided to make our way south for a look around
The day was looking to be great, weather was beautiful and some great sights were in store for us today
I apologize for the Generic logs but as we are logging afterwards all that was done becomes forgotten..
Another cache that survived the fires?
Thanks for the cache wheres wolly
I also apologize for the floods of emails you are about to get

We have returned from Canada to discover a few more Australian caches! What a great way to explore the "land down under."
Found the charred container. Contents a little damp.
Thanks for the fun wheres wolly!

Needs repair, even though a person has put a slip of paper in it, due to fire damage the container is allowing water in.
I found the cache container it survived the fire but everything else inside it was ashes, i put a log back in it anyway, needs a bit of work
Took a while for the GPS to settle but it happened eventually and we soon had the cache in hand.
Thanks wheres wolly

Logged from my phone using the Geocache Navigator by Trimble. Night out caching with Taff 00. His second time caching and we all had a great night.
