After a fair bit of planning yesterday I had an objective of completing the 25 different DT challenge in the Tinchi Tamba wetlands.I marked out my route which was probably going to make me more of a Leyland brother than Id ever hoped to be but I thought I could squeeze it in.Unfortunately at the second of my planned caches for the day I pulled out to take off and collected a concrete block that wasnt in view. Bang, front skirt scratched and big puncture in the side wall of my tyre. There goes the time I needed to reach the goal.Any way I stayed the course and gave it a shot and came up short by about 5 caches. Dan that punctured tyre.Anyone this cache was found safe and well. A signature was applied to the log and returned safely to its hiding place.A big thanks to the cache owner for making this ache available to be found bet fellow cachers.Cheers
A nice little area, and I parked in between this geocache and *Scenic Sanctuary* to walk to both without moving my vehicle. I targeted this geocache first, and despite its difficulty, I made a quick find once I had arrived at GZ. The cache container and logbook were in good shape, and the container was nicely camouflaged. I did wonder what the deal is with the fenced off scrub area just above this geocache? Thanks LJCJG for the cache placement, and 5Meerkats for its ongoing maintenance.
----------
Today with an early morning start, I commenced with a hike in the southern area of Flinders-Goolman Conservation Park. Three targeted summits from Mt Elliott Road were ascended, and it was a mixture of steep terrain, lantana and other spiky vegetation, and a few rock scrambles; a tough walk, but also enjoyable under perfect hiking weather that wasn't too hot.
Following the walk, I started to make my way towards home, stopping in Redbank Plains, and a few areas in Springfield and Brookwater. In addition, I walked around the new Brisbane Lions' new training ground at Springfield Central Stadium / Brighton Homes Arena, and finally stopped and made a circuit of Spring Lake in Springfield Lakes.
I was able to participate in / complete three Adventure Labs during my outing today:
• [Brisbane Lions in Springfield](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/52ec5b27-1076-4417-a161-3e53fd947ca4);

This cache was just like your favourite restaurant including the time. Thanks for the cache and bringing me to the area.
I enjoyed a great walk in the Springfield bushland today picking up a few caches. I started at Opossum Creek Parkland and headed up the ridge to find an elusive unicorn. Then took the western track down towards Brookwater Rise Park. When I arrived here, I was not sure which way to go, but I soon saw where it was probably hidden. The camouflage is quite good as I must have looked right at it several times before I finally saw that it was a cache.
I was here a couple days ago but as I was short on time I had to run before I had the chance to find it. I was overthinking it though and it should have been a quick find as I walked past it several times.
It was a quick find today, but I was so scared of there being an 8 legged friend on it I had to use two big sticks like chopsticks to fish it out of its hidey hole. Luckily, not a spider in sight. Tftc

I wandered down the hill and through the park to make a quick find here. Thanks 5Meerkats and happy caching
Out caching with a muggle family to introduce them to the game. This was our second find & involved reading some previous activity to narrow down the area to target. Then resorted to a PAF & found the cache just before receiving a response TFTC
Geocaching adventure with woolwood9. ???We visited many good caches and trails on our trip and had a lot of fun! ????Really appreciate the cache owners effort putting this container out. ????????All logs stamped: tm/ww NZThis was another good hide!
Not inside the fence!! But is not a very easy place to get to. Trust me dont wear thongs. Watch out for snakes!!!
The difficulty rating snd GPS pointed to a crafty but obvious hide on the top level.
In the end, the cache was somewhere different down below.
TFTC!

Out enjoying a day of caching with Blkthunder… after finding Scenic Sanctuary we wandered down to find this cache… it’s in much better shape than its neighbour…
Blkthunder kept lookout while I did the work… a nice quick find… still trying to work out the hint… tftc…

A quick find after enjoying burgers and chips from nearby takeaway. Lovely park, playground and picnic tables. TFTC
took a bit of head scratching as my GPS had me wondering around in circles. Got a bit more methodical and grabbed it quickly. Nice hide TFTC.
Took the high ground initially, then worked my way down and clearly put my trust into the GPS too much, which lead me astray. After searching for a bit I decided I wasn't making any progress and walked back to where I entered in from...and there it was, staring me right in the face. TFTC
With a nice early start, Kestal and I were treated to a stunning sunrise travelling east for a caching day, both with different geo-goals. This one made the list cause Kestal announced in the car that I didn't look after my interests so she had to do it for me ...and this one filled a hidden date for me. One less needed now . Thanks 5Meerkats.
**# 17192** Found on the Qld leg of our 2017 winter escape trip.
All perfect sunny winter days again, perfect for a cache hunt in the area.
Not many muggles around and a good safe hide here.
Picked up 2 TB's and taking to Bris in a few days.
Thanks for the cache 5Meerkats,

Down from Toowoomba with Eskies5 to grab a few caches. Back at the car and after a quick drink break we headed to this one. This hide fulfilled a goal for Eskies5. I was sure I had been here before, but nope...must of been another place. Eventually we changed our search area and we had the find in our hands. TFTC 5Meerkats

Having grabbed another cache near here, mcm726 and I headed on down here for this cache, passing some kids playing basketball. As we arrived at GZ, we manoeuvred our way around a fallen tree, then realised where we were most likely needing to look. And very shortly afterwards I was removing spiders web off my arm and handing the cache to mcm726, who signed the log and placed a TB inside.
Thanks for the cache 5Meerkats.

After a short drive from the last cache, 1MinnieMoo and i, started to walk along the path past the kids and family's playing in the park, to head to the GZ. after the short walk, we came to the point where we had to leave the path, a fallen tree here didn't not make the task easy, but we scooted under the tree and soon had the container in our hands, we signed the log, i dropped a trackable into the cache and then we put it back in its spot. heading back under the tree, we returned to the car, happy to have made another smile on the map. Out on a caching day with Roddy C and his wife today Picking up some caches down this way on our hitlists. This one you need to be careful going down the hill and coming back up as we both nearly slipped and fell straight down the hill. Oh and the march flies lucky we were quick TFTC
Some caching time today with RhoBoCacher once again around the outer suburbs of Ipswich, despite the hot (sometimes 34 degree) weather!
Under torchlight now, we read the description and thought this could be easy, but it was the "slippery down there" cache.
Log signed & replaced again. Found at 6.25pm on 20th November, 2016. TFTC

2.10pm. Took a while to locate this one. Don't understand the hint unless there is a hard rock café or similar?
Thank you. David.
Thank you. David.
We were in the area visiting family and couldn't resist the lure of this one.
It started to rain just as we got to GZ. It took a bit of searching but we finally found it. Signed the log quickly in the rain and replaced it as found.
Cache is nice and dry. (We're not . )
Thanks 5Meerkats

I run every morning close by and I did not know that there was a cache ^^ original, nice place.
thank you very much

As I approached on my bike I had some idea what area I may be looking in and I was a little deflated (thankfully just me and not my bike tyres). Anyway soon found my way down to start taking a look. I just happened to reach and move on item and was about to keep going to my expected search area, but what is that looks like a container to me. Sure enough first spot I checked and the cache was in hand, soon with a signed log.

It's Friday and I headed out this way on a (slightly) cooler day with Team Benders. My caching buddy soon discovered that I usually take the difficult way to GZ. We cleaned up a few caches at a relaxed pace over a couple of hours.
GZ was fairly obvious but it took us a few minutes of peering and poking to locate the cache. TB located the sneaky hide where I'd already looked

Out on a caching expedition with Ms Maddy.
This is the last one on our 5Km round trip.
After a small search I located what we were looking for.
Had a look at the contents in the container and signed the log and returned it to where I found it.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks LJCJG and 5 Meerkats All good with this cache

cache find #1917. In the area today and turning our geomap into smiley faces. We strolled down the oath and it was MR GT54 who found the cache. TFTC.

Another lovely park. Looked for this cache in the pouring rain. So refreshing! Thanks for the cache 5Meerkats!
Well hidden in from view off the path that ends. Hard to see if a bit dark. Nice walk to the drainage basin.
From the ratings, I thought this was going to be a hard find. Very easy and not far off the concrete path. TFTC!
Ahhh what a lovely Bushy Bushwalk I had tonight!
I came by after dinner needing a cache to fill a particular D/T grid. I pulled up in the zoomoiin Shroom not too far from the cache. By the torchlight I found what seemed to be a good way in, and sure enough it was. I took a slight detour thanks to my iPhone sending me a little north of the ultimate find. Once I looked around a second choice of GZ became apparent, and very soon after I had a cache in hand. Log signers and safely tucked away!
Thanks for the cache.

Out and about with barbbowman for a Friday Frenzy Judging by the other logs, I was expecting a slightly tougher walk to GZ, and then a rather long search, but that wasn't the case with this one for us There's a paved pathway almost all the way to GZ, and happily the cache was in the first place I looked [^] Doesn't often happen that way TFTC, 5Meerkats.
FastEd dropped us off at Geebung train at 6.15
IolantheK picked us up at Chelmer at 8.00
then off to Springfield we go
continuing down the path from Scenic Sanctuary we made our way to the 'entrance'
in and down we go
a very quick find by IolantheK

Tonight was a perfect night for caching - a cool night and full moon in a cloudless sky to guide the way. Parked nearby and strolled down to GZ. After looking in a few wrong spots the cache was soon located and log signed. Tftc
Like everyone was initially a little lost with gz it wasn't too long before I had the cache in hand tftc
Well I earned the smiley here. So many options. Not sure about the fenced area. It looks like a drainage area, but then it would not have a gate.
The clue still makes no sense, but the terrain rating helped with the find. I probably spent almost 10 minutes looking for this one. Very well hidden indeed.

Found the path that leads to what looks like a dog off leash area, except you'd probably lose your dog in it.
Searched in area that I thought looked right, wasn't having much luck. A quick PAF proved I was on the right track but GZ was a little way off, around and up a bit, so I searched and then I got it. A tricky one but all good. Cache stocked with lots of nice little swaps. Tftc.

While out trying to get a Cache for International Caching day this one came up. So I headed to GZ and like some of the other finder before me I thought where do I look first. After a quick look around and picking where I'd hide a cache I started the search. I had looked in the same spot a few time when I spotted it. Nice hide. TFTC.
Wow what an adventure, went high, went low, went everywhere. If it wasnt for having a rather unsuccessful caching day i would have given up.
Rather confused, as the caching rating is high but various cachers found it easy. Just when i was about give up and think i dont know how to find caches anymore, had one more prod, luckily my faith has returned. Tvmftc.

I have had this one on the radar for a while, as it fills in a D/T square for me. I saw the Meerkats log yesterday which made me more confident that I could grab it with the family. We ventured out there after lunch today, it didn't matter so much about the family access in the end as the geokids were asleep by the time we got there! So Mr PJATPAC did the honours. I agree that it's a weird little spot. Thanks for showing it to me and for ticking off another square in the D/Tgrid. Cheers 5 Meerkats for keeping it alive
Well, this is a first. I have never logged a find on our own cache before. But, this scenario calls for it. We agreed to adopt this cache for LJCJG after they relocated overseas. We didn't even know where this cache was until today.
We had been procrastinating for ages to come here, but today it was actually Mrs Meerkat's suggestion that bought us here.
This place is nothing like what we expected. The park is great! Nice and new and plenty of room for the kids to play and paths to scooter. The walk is indeed very strange. And the destination simply bizarre. All in all a great cache location.
Mr Meerkat found the cache very quickly. The iPhone had the coords 6m away from GZ, but the hide is obvious, so no adjustment necessary, we think. The cache is dry and well stocked.
It's often said TFTC. But in this instance, it is really appropriate. TFTC LJCJG!!

So I walked the path to nowhere but went I got close to GZ my gps went bonkers. I thought, in there? Seriously. No now its saying just outsidevthe fence on the edge of a rocky cliff. No is it at the bottom of the cliff? Ahhhhh! Which one? An easy find eventually!
Wow. How overgrown is this place? Looks like the forgotten garden. Only went on the way through today and time beat me. Maybe next time.
Wow. The forgotten park. Guess they though more people would have dogs that would come down here and use it. Had to fight through the overgrown path with my bike in toe. Found easily TFTC
