Dagje West MacDonnell NP vanuit Alice Springs. Tijdens deze uitstap deze cache gelogd. TFTC.
On our way back to Alice from doing the Owen springs track we stopped to grab this cache, a nice view from up here and a photo opportunity, thanks for placing it
A easy stop as we headed East.
This trip was sort of in place of a trip to a Mega that got canceled due to accommodation problems, I was quite happy when Goose said do you fancy to caching break in the Northern Territory as this would be the last State or Territory for me in Australia.
Our plan was to fly into Darwin on the Friday night have a couple days in the area then start heading South stopping overnight whenever we needed to, our next goal was the drive to the geographic centre of Australia at Lambert Centre and then head back to Alice to fly home ten days later.
We both had a great trip finding some important old caches, large ones and the odd clever one too, we found Ammo Cans all over the place which was nice as i think we have found most of the ones at home in Tassie.
Thanks for the cache.

Back to redeem a DNF from nearly 7 years ago. Great to get rid of the frown!
Thanks redcenterdazza
Our Northern Territory journey began in Darwin around 3am after a very delayed flight. We drove as far north as Fresh Water Camp (northeast of Darwin), followed by a loop to Liberated Cox (out to the west) and Litchfield National Park returning to Darwin. We then headed south with overnight stops at Katherine, Daly Waters and Devils Marbles before reaching our southernmost accommodation at Erldunda. From here we did a day trip to Lamberts Gravitational Centre on onward past Finke. Our last couple of days were in Alice Springs with a side trip via Hermannsburg and Glen Helen, all up covering just under 3800km. My thanks to all the COs with hides throughout the territory for helping make our trip so enjoyable.

Found it. Visited this caches in a sunday evening and night with a car in a short trip to australia. I'VE FORGOTTEN A PEN TO SIGN THE LOGS . Greetings from Brasov, Romania
As you say, a quick park and scramble another opportunity to take fake photos of the car for muggles travelling past! TFTC
Sir_spectre and I went on a long overdue holiday to the Northern Territory. We had some great experiences and saw some amazing natural wonders. Not all went to plan - covid closures, flood effected roads, renovations, hot weather, some car troubles and not forgetting the huge jump in fuel costs
Any caches that needed repairs were fixed and numeous logs were replaced or added too.
Thanks to redcenterdazza from mogni

why not ? a mint tin is still a smiley on the map.
Mogni and myself went to the Northern Territory for a 10 day holiday. We drove 5478 km's in those 10 days. The plan was to go up the Sturt highway and then go via Ayers Rock, King's Canyon and then through to Alice Springs stopping at the gorges/chasm/gaps along the way. As you can expect nothing goes to plan. Day 1 Adelaide to Cooper Pedy, made it just before the Roxby Downs turn off and blow the side wall on the tire of the 4x4, 193 km detour just to get a tire and even then it was the second tire place that had the tire the correct size. We had camels come in to the campsite in Erldunda Roadhouse, they even left hoof prints 1/2 a foot from the tent, at King's Canyon we had dingo's come through the camp ground both nights we where there and at Alice springs we had a mouse move in under the tent in their campground. Some of the aboriginal towns we passed where in lock down because of covid 19 so no going in to get fuel there, that changed some plans. The floods where way worse up in Northern Territory than i realized. Some creeks/rivers i could see the debris over 2 meters from the river bed and down one 4x4 track it washed the road away completely, the hole was 3/4 the length of the 4x4 and over 6 foot deep. The temp was 33 to 36 for 9 of the 10 days and finally cooled down for the drive home. We got 7 different caches types in the N.T. plus every different cache size. It was a good trip but not the one we planned. To many of the roads in the N.T. where damaged and not repaired ( still closed ) so that cancelled plan A but that's just a excuse to come back isn't it. Come back and see what you missed last time when the roads are fixed. We came with 19 regular " geocaching size " containers and a milk crate of small containers by day 7 all the regulars where used as replaced caches and by day 8 the smalls where gone. It was the UV rays a lot more than the floods that killed the caches and almost all the log books where saved, the micro containers seemed to have constantly full log sheets so they where replaced too.

Heading from Alice Springs to Ellery Waterhole, we had to arrive early to snaffle a campsite. I was aware that I could not snaffle every cache along the way, and this was one of the ones I chose. Great spot for a cache.
A nice drive out this way and we stopped off here. A bit of a scramble and the cache was in our hands. Log signed and replaced as found. Thanks redcenterdazza.
Indeed. Why not!

Thanks for the cache redcenterdazza.
A day out with sushilord had been organised heading for Hermannsburg and doing the loop calling in to St Helens and picking up as many caches as we could along the way. We had both solved the puzzle caches along this route and they were targeted as we went past. [^]
It was a near perfect caching day, with 27 caches found, lots of amazing scenery, history and geology with numerous photos taken where we stopped. This was the highlight of my visit to Alice Springs.
One thing I will remember about caching in Alice Springs is....rocks, rocks and more rocks.
This one was our first and a quick find at GZ.

A quick park and grab indeed! Thanks for placing the cache redcenterdazza. Team_Crumble replaced the container of this one.
Day 3 of our *Red Centre Adventure*... and today we went west from Alice. After a stop at Standley Chasm, we were on our way to Ormiston Gorge and I noticed this cache. Initially I was going to pass it by but then I noticed that everyone had been doing that since last November so then I though *Why Not* and went and found it.
Thanks **redcenterdazza** for this cache... please note that you need to replace the container and the plastic lid is falling apart.

I found this cache together with B.F.Pierce during our wonderful vacation in Australia. We drove four weeks with a camper van through this amazing country from Alice Springs to Sydney. We enjoyed the great people, wildlife and countryside so much. Thank you for the great cache! Best regards from Germany!
Erin1405 and I did a round trip from Alice Springs down South along the coast and ended up in Sydney. We had a marvellous time on this amazing continent viewing a lot of new and beautiful impressions. Of course we searced and found some caches just like that one. Thanks a lot for hiding and many greetings from Germany.
After spending four days travelling up on my own from Adelaide, I met up with FeatherWaite in Alice Springs for a few days of travelling around caching.
We visited various places in the West Macdonnells, including Hugh Gorge, then went out to Kings Canyon, up the Finke Gorge track to Hermannsburg, into Palm Valley, then back to Adelaide, taking a week in all. We saw, and camped in some fantastic places, although the late September weather was a little warm!
This cache was a quick find as we made our way back to Alice Springs as we headed home.

Along this adventure we visited and explored many phenomenal and surreal places such as Woomera, Coober Pedy, Uluru and Mutitjulu, Kata Tjuta, Wattarka, Tnorala, Both East and West Macdonnell ranges, Arltunga, Ruby Gap, Palm Valley, Parts of the Finke road, Boggy Hole, Rainbow Valley, Old Ghan Route, Chambers Pillar, Oodnadatta track, Mount Dare, Dalhousie Springs, Painted Desert, Moon plane and I'm sure I've missed a few! Thank you so much for the cache. Found with Ferociousflea and -Beaker- along with our mint 79 series that accomplished alot in this two week time frame.

We had most of the new puzzles solved before leaving home, and with a bit of help from a few friends once here, the remainder now are added to the solved puzzle list. So today it is a trip out to Hermannsburg to collect them on the way out, then, as time permits, the other traditional caches on the way back. This an suited Venn Family, Patrol14 and Rothy6, so in two cars we set out for a drive along Larapinta Drive.
Quick find.
Log signed & replaced again. Found at 2.00pm on 16th April 2017. TFTC. redcenterdazza

Day 5 in Alice and the day will involve driving out to Hermannsburg and seeing some fantastic countryside. Thanks to all the COs for the wonderful hides and showing us around your lovely region.
Found it with TICE [Hiltsu, J&T, kapeka & laalaa]
We had fun with caching few weeks here in Australia ( South Australia and Northern Territory ). Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and huge country!

Here in Alice Springs for the Red Centre Event. Out with Geo-friends going here and going there finding all the hidden caches. Had a great time locating. Apologies for the generic log, however due to the number of caches found, this was the best way to log. To all the CO a big thank you, it was a memorable time visiting Alice Springs and the surrounding areas. TFTC
Here in Alice Springs for the Red Centre Experience Event with DeafGeo....

Team ICE on a two week geocaching trip in Australia. Our main target was the Red Centre Experience at Alice Springs but of course we did some caching in other places too. We drove from Adelaide to Alice Springs and then back. We saw lots of interesting and beutiful places like opal mines at Coober Pedy, Ayers Rock and Kata Tjuta. Our rental travelled almost 6500km on gravel and tarmac roads. The weather was great, only on last day we got some rain.
All the caches logged as Team Ice, T-ice or Tice with kapeka, laalaa and Hiltsu. We had a great trip!
We spent three days caching around Alice Springs. This is so different area than bushy flat desert around it. Lots of beautiful places to see. Truly Red Centre Experience for us.
Thanks for the cache and greetings from Finland!
