So far today I have been quite lucky with the traffic and it has been easy to park up and grab some caches along the road.A quick and easy find here, in the first place I checked. And nobody seemed to notice me at the side of the road.
Being a new cacher, this is my first find of this kind. Taking notes for when I begin hiding my own caches in Auckland.TFTC and the thanx for the idea.
We were driving to Wellington and stuck behind a particularly slow couple of cars so when we saw this cache was here we took the opportunity to stop and let them get ahead. After waiting for a few trucks to pass from the other direction the cache was quickly located and the log signed. Very chilly and windy today. TFTC.
Was confused for a sec but the magnetic comment gave it away grocashe number two for a newbie
We found a magnet from where the cache used to be but wasnt sure if this was the cache. No logbook to sign.
Pak u byl as popojet zase dl. A njak prochzky urit taky zvldnu. It was a beautiful sunny day from the morning. I found some drive-in caches in the village of National Park and drove back to Torangiro National Park. I went to see the lava mounds and Tawhei Falls and collected caches that were left after yesterday's visit. Especially the ones on Bruce Road towards Ruapehu Mountain. Then it was time to move to Lake Taupo, where I will have a base for the next few days. On the way, I collected some caches and enjoyed the landscape. Thanks to everyone for their caches and greetings from the Czech Republic.
As per previous logs, we found the remains and a small bit of log paper. Might pay for CO to disable until they can rectify it.
Left our Basecamp of Rotorua to explore the cacheline around the central North Island with Kre8ive, stunner of a day! Collecting a few from Trangi as we pass through on our way home. #48 for today. Not sure whether or not to count this, referring to prior comments. Pic included of potential find. Recommend disabling until fixed to deter faulty cache
Sounds like it needs replacing.Next time I'm up there I'll replace it, but that may not be until late January/Early Feb
unfortunately the cache has been broken and is on the ground in bits.
It's spring time, and that means weekend road trips to go see bands play, which in turn means geocaching. I woke up this morning in Taupo with the only goals being to get back home to Wellington and find a few caches along the way. this was one of them.A quick stop as the traffic zoomed on by taking no notice of me (I hoped).---Thanks to skott.c for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with Geocachers like this creating them and placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.[DGSc-Bulk] tagging to help me generate a list for GC30AD8 - DGSc Challenge.
Very very windy today, and miss 7 didn't want to stay out of the car longer than 1 minute to find it. A minute later I got it!
No time is easy for this cache lol. Even at 445am there is plenty of traffic going by. Thankfully every time I go by I can see the cache, so it was quickly in hand early this morning. Log signed just after 445am. I’m on a mission to break my previous caching days record of 13 days, which was 10 years ago, today is day 10.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Found this out on the ground since the magnet has come unglued from the inside of the container. Made a quick repair with some masking tape so I could replace the cache properly, but not sure how long that will last, may need to check, TFTC
Another quick park and grab. Thanks for placing this here - and special thanks for the smiley .
#997 on my way back north towards Taupo with the aim of getting my 1000th before the new year. Getting there! Nice drive too. TFTC
A nice quick find on our roadtrip up north. Easily spotted from some distance away so we rehid with some extra cover. I have the soggy log to pass on to the CO when I see him. TFTC skott.c!
We targeted this on the journey past as D knows the CO. Quick find, saw the fish as we approached. The mechanism is no longer functioning and logbook soaked, so we weighted down with some bark and added a waterproof strip. Thanks skott.c
Easy find lying out exposed. Magnets use by date has run out. Pushed cache out of site
Found whilst on way back from Waiouru with ABCDF4, quick easy park and grab, TFTC.
Right on muggle highway 1! Easy to find, and got a nod of approval from owners dad . TFTC
Hey looked for far longer than we should have couldn't find checked comments can see a few people couldn't either got a sweet photo to add to our scrapbook though
I am roadtripping up to Auckland this weekend for a mates 50th birthday, and have broken my journey up a bit by stopping for a few caches along the way (as you do lol!).
I have driven through the villages along the road beside Lake Taupo many times over the last 30+ years but but never really stopped to spent much time at them before, apart from letting my lad play in the occasional kids park when he was a nipper. One of the bonuses of caching is that it makes you look at places differently, so I was happy to make this one of my stops today.
A quick and easy find here today. There was no-one else around whilst I signed the log etc before replacing it all as found and then getting back on my way again.
Thanks for placing this cache.

Found the log only no canister. The log was in a Ziploc bag...
This cache might need a fix-up

Day two of my road trip from Auckland to Nelson in my newly acquired convertible cachemobile. Finding a few caches along the way. Parked across the road and walked carefully to GZ. All good here. Cache found exactly where it was supposed to be. TFTC, Biggles.
Travelling down to Whanganui this week for work. Taking the scenic route and collecting some smileys. Quick stop here. TFTC
Sorry late find post by 6months haha ... just realized I had not posted only Drafted. TFTF
Together with TEMBO! I had a really interesting geocaching-trip today. We could find some geocaches, met some locals and had a great talk to them.
Concerning this geocache I want to say thanks because we had much fun in searching and finding this geocache! The cache made our trip even more interesting!

Found with a sister during our expedition to NZ (from CZ), where we explored part of the North Island and could visit our classmates and friends that we have not seen for several years, as it is here, in Auckland and Napier live ... Thank you for cache ...
Still keeping an eye on the road progress. Road works appear to be finished on that stretch but still lots of cones and so many conflicting speed signs that are so weird, someone's been having fun, assorted signs of 100, 70, 50, randomly dotted along the road towards Motuoapa, some are only a few feet apart, it would make a great puzzle cache!! The big tall signs have not been replaced yet and there's no islands built for them. We'll keep watching.

*****Cache may need some help! ***** Roadworks are in progress, lots of cones, the signs and poles have been completely removed, fish have hightailed it out of there, probably gone upriver to a deep cool pool, BUT we checked today and the cache is still there!! Don't know how long it will stay in place, it looks very rough and temporary around the hide area so it may need to be rescued. Cacheowner, please contact us if we can help.

Rasch gefunden. TFTC

On our 31sttday in New Zealand we travelled from Turangi up to Rotorua. We enjoyed the drive along beautiful Lake Taupo even though the weather was not that great. But we were glad that after the heavy rain last night it was at least dry. We then had a longer break in Taupo where we were really surprised of the hustle and bustle there. And afterwards with visited the Huka Falls and then on to Rotorua. Along the route we stopped every now and then for some caches. Most of them we found well but there were again some DNF's.
This one we searched a little longer than what was really necessary but we only found it on the second go. Anyway, happy to have found it.

Heute: 2.

Today we made a trip from the National Park Village via Taupo to Rotorua, thereby visiting many new sightseeing locations and looking for caches, too. On this trip we searched, found and logged a lot of caches. The weather was between good and very good all day long, colder in the morning but it got warmer in the afternoon. Funny clouds were our compagnions the whole trip.
Almost no muggels observed us as they had other things to do than observing harmless geocachers.
Thanks to skott.c for showing us this location and for the fun we had at Fishtailing Prohibited (Waikato). The search we had here today didn't take too much time.
Greetings from Germany and hope to see you soon in the forest.

Doing the 400 minute challenge, and I didn't have this one ! Only 20 more to go ! Thanks
A nice easy and fast drive by ...just what we like ...it was good to stop and get out of the traffic flow south .thanks skott.c for the cache
Heading south in our motor home- had just managed to overtake a truck and then of course a cache we hadn't found appeared and we had to pull over. Just signed and crossed the road when the truck came rumbling past again oh well. Thanks for the placement skott.c.
It was time to go to the next shade of green on my GC.COM calender for today so a trip to Turangi was needed to get the numbers.
I removed old munted logs from the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
