After 157 finds just off the Hume I'm happy that this cache has done its time and am happy to archive it to let another cacher potentially enjoy this spot. Sounds like I also need to do another adventure with paegle boy!
It's no longer a park-and-grab as you now need to park 250 metres away at the roadblock. Two blackened stumps were noticed on approach, one of them exactly at GZ. The old fencing tool found by the previous cacher is still hanging on the fence. Looks like this one needs a cache check. It's our first DNF on our caching trip to attend the Oz Mega in Murray Bridgge during Easter.
Yes, you have stumped us!! Spent about 30 mins searching in the obvious spots, with GPS showing 0 feet away....we give up. We did find a cool old fencing tool, but not the cache. Better luck to the next cachers to try their luck. Tfth xo
Quickly pulled off the Hume to grab this one this afternoon.
Nice little walk down the old section of road.

A quick and easy find on the way to work. Not a soul about as I walked down the road to find it. TFTC
7657. [green]What? I had to walk? Looks like they've decided to block it off so the short walk is a bit longer maybe. Still an easy find once the right object is looked at. [/green]

We're on our annual Christmas Adventure to Adelaide for two weeks to see family, caching along the way. It was a quick detour off the highway and we soon had the cache in hand.

Once again, Rapidlywild and I were off on another one of our fun and epic geomissions. This time we were gallivanting around Mittagong, Berrima and Bowral [:o)] We were blessed with perfect caching weather, so what better way to make the most of it than to jump in the geomobile and head off for a great day of caching? With an 8:30am start and a 4:00am finish, by the time we arrived home I was absolutely, well and truly geobuggered! lol
Lets just say we had a lot of fun with this one with RW on 'gate' duty lol. But once there, it was a nice simple find before RW was on 'gate' duty again! [:O)]
Thanks for the hide, steeba

Ok, so it was time for specimenX and myself to invade some of the Northern parts taking our Geomission to Mittagong, Berrima and Bowral. This one had been planned for a week or so, so preparations were made on the impending long day / night adventures. Esky - Check, Water - Check, Fruit - Check, Batteries - Check, Bug Repellent - Check, Caffeine - Check, Car Fuelled - Check, Geotools - Check and GPS loaded - Check.
It seems we had everything ready to go, however Rapidlywild had a little snooze in and the planned 0800hrs start turned into a 0830hrs start. Ooops. So once we were on the road, there was a little while before we reached our first cache. We had decided to commence the mission just outside of Goulburn as there were a number of caches along the hwy I hadn't collected.
In total, today I made 44 finds and 3 DNF's - not a bad batting average if I say so myself. By the time we returned to Canberra, it was almost 0400hrs and we were exhausted. Not our biggest mission however 19.5 hrs isn't anything to cry over either lol.
Quick find on a beautiful day.
Thanks for the cache steeba

Thanks for the advice. I pulled in and parked on Amber Close. Walked a short bit to GZ and soon had the cache in my hand. Now back on the highway to Canberra. Thanks.
Nice easy find. Pumped to find TB after all. Seems not all get logged out. Grabbed ladybird TB.. TFTC
Quick find. We tried this one last year but it wasn't there so glad to get this one out of the way. Took trackable
Had to trek in after the road was found blocked.
Nice quick find.
Many thanks to steeba.

After a pleasant day in Wollongong yesterday we headed off south again this morning grabbing a few caches along the way as the holiday winds to an end.
We pulled up here a little bit puzzled as to why they don't want people to go any further down this road but there must be a reason, we just couldn't see it.
It was a good excuse to stretch the legs so we headed off to gz following the GPSr needle but as we got closer just the geo trail. The cache was found in the first place we looked in a very likely hide. From gz we could see the freeway being quite busy with vehicles speeding passed and on the other side a small herd of cows peacefully watching what we were up to.
Thanks steeba for the cache.

On our way home from Sydney and New Zealand before that, and time for just a couple more caches. Thanks Steeba.
Easy find. Nice and close to the freeway too. Theres sandbags across the rpad so I parked about 100m away (I drove around the road closed signs!!)

Day trip to Wollongong. Found the road which lead all the way down to GZ , not sure why its blocked off as it actually doesn't go anyway , no idea whats going on here but found GZ in quick time , I was in two minds weather to get this from hiway or not as I think last time it stopped and thought no, but this time was all good , good to tick of some caches along the route back..
Last one of the day before heading back to Canberra.

Visited with FurFacesLL as they hadn't made this find before. Took TB angel.
Heading home after playing in a masters softball competition with hccatcher11415 in Sydney. The team was good enough to snag the gold medal in the top division, well done!
Drove right up to this one in the fading light.

Pretended to stop at the emergency phone, but well off the road. The phone is defunct and the old road near the cache was being utilised by running ground water. Another vanless and granny less find yea.
One of the few caches that are accessable after rain. All the others that I wanted to get today were either submerged in stormwater drains or the paths to them were a foot under water.
Today we were traveling from Leura in the Blue Mountains to Canberra. On the way we made some stops, some were just for coffee, some to visit historical places. Berrima was one of those places and so was Goulburn. We liked the latter better, although Berrima has a very lovely stretch of river that goes behind the old church (and of course there is a cache hidden there...). We found al the caches we sought for today, so it was a good one

Done on the way back from Canberra. Already late at night and we couldnt drive right up to the cache due to road work material on the road. The cache wasnt in the stumps though but on the floor. We placed it back in one of the 2 stumps there. Owner may want to confirm it is well hidden.

On a trip to Canberra we stopped off every once in a while to stretch ou legs and do some caches. To all the cache owners we thank you for the views you provided us with, as well as the enjoyment of doing the caches that we did.

Found on a trip to Sydney with Blacklegend and Poynts95. I completely forgot to log these, and have been flat out with study (secondary school). My appologies for the late logs and for them being generic. My thanks to all the cache owners for hiding and maintaining their caches. TFTC.
Found on a trip to Sydney with my daughter Jacqueline (Bubble o Bill) and her boyfriend Corey, who has only just started caching, his being his first trip / time caching. Corey signed as "CoreyP". Also had with me my 6yo twins, James and Jemma. We decided to hit a few caches there and back, with a total of 60 being found between Tocumwal and Sydney and back to Tocumwal.
We had a nice trip which had one hiccup, my car overheating for a short time around the Gundagai area. There was only 1 DNF, but we scored 1 Earth Cache, 1 Virtual, a few multis and mysteries and a swag of trads both hard and easy. Corey loved caching and kids had a great time finding as well.
Saw the cache driving into GZ range. Quick find and we were again on the way home. TFTC.

Found the black stump, found the snails but alas no cache. Rock in the stump indicates where it might have been but is no more.
Hopefully the highland visit was as uncomplicated as this cache! A quick one offering a different view of the highway! Thanks steeba.
Quick find on the way back to Canberra. Spotted by Mehitabelcat before we even got out of the car.

Our second find on the trip back down the Hume from Sydney to Melbourne after seeing our beloved Melbourne Storm win the 2012 NRL Premiership!
A quick find just off the highway which allowed us to see the highway from a different angle. Usually we're the ones zooming past without taking notice of our surroundings.
Thanks for the cache. Even though Geocaching added approximately 4 hours to our already long journey, we found it to be a brilliant way to break up a fairly boring and tedious drive. It looks like we'll have to add a few hours to every road trip we make just to allow for Geocaching time.

Heading to Canberra with Zhaoy for the first time and picking off new caches along the Hume. Glad to see them as I had cleared most of the drivebys on this route a few years back. TomTom didnt have the access road marked but we found our way to GZ and Zhoay was excited to see the horses nearby.

Our last cache for the financial year and another hole in the calendar filled. Have driven past this one so many times and always seem to have been in too much of a hurry to stop. Today was a more leisurely trip so we stopped and soon had the caching duties done and were back under way. Thanks Steeba.

We had to park further away from this one than most people would, but we didn't trust the space saver spare tyre to drive over the rough road.
Quick find in the dark, thanks

It was getting quite late and we had a fair way to drive back home still, but we stopped for this one, nevertheless. A deserted road, cold, dark, and near Ivan Milat's territory - what else were we going to do? We stopped the car a few hundred metres from the cache since we only had a space saver tyre on the back and there was all this gravel piled about. We walked down and made an easy find, while I thought about that urban legend where the boyfriend's head is used as a drumstick on the roof of the car. As it was, we found a cache and got a smiley, instead. Thanks
Passed by yesterday but I was on the freeway so I could not stop. Today, it was easy, once I've read the description of course!. TFTC
Dutifully got off the freeway to grab this one. Had to walk the last 200m due to big piles of stones in the way, but then found the cache no worries. TNLN. Thanks.

In a big week of caching and mega event in Albury/Wodonga, I stopped by this one after passing by it many times. A short detour, and parked right beside the cache. Was hoping to see Paegle Boy at the mega, so hopefully will catch up at a nearby event.

Did this cache with "Socks" on the way to Bungonia for a weekend of caving. We came down the wrong ramp for this one and stopped at the roadside phone. Saw where the cache was likely to be hidden from about 20 metres away. Thanks for bringing us here Steeba.

Found it with DKmacca on the way to a caving trip at Bungonia. We missed the correct turnoff, but we were able to stop safely and find the cache. Thanks for showing us yet another bit of the old Hume.
Quick grab. The road base piles are dumped in a way that is like an obsticle coarse. It will only take one pile to add a few hundred meters to the walk. SLTN TFTC
TaurusSix and I had hoped to get a lot of caches near the highway today, but the rain intensified and this was the last for the day. Retrieved TB.
