Found It!A quick find here before starting the walk to the cache at the other end of this trail.TFTC
Quickly found and signed on my way back to the car.Not far down the trail there is a communications tower with lots of cameras and old RailCorp signage.Anyone know what its purpose is?
Cache 14/28 for this month’s challenge, the halfway point!
I DNA (did not attempt) this cache a while back after finding the other not far into this bush. The reason I had to miss this one was because a rickety campervan was parked across from it, with a person laying with their feet out the window.
Didn’t want anymore conversation than I already had on the way into the bush, so I exited and swiftly left.
Today I parked up on a nice warm winters day (you wouldn’t know it was winter). It was a quick find. I added in a fresh log sheet as the other was getting tattered and full, as well as a ziplock to keep it safe.

Nice excuse for an exquisite and fairly long walk to the end of the track in the sunshine a couple of days ago. Hadn't done this walk for quite a few years. Gorgeous view at the end. Unfortunately there were muggles everywhere on the way in and again on the way out. Unusual for this spot. Went back today and found with ease. Many thanks.
Quick find at the end of the bushwalk, made easier by one of the comments. Found with YolkieB. TFTC

Streak Day #2989 - Out with Dave8153 for a quick find to keep our streaks up. TFTC
We were hoping to get this one on our return trip from the firetrail but when we got back the RFS was doing hose training at the end of the road so was a bit busy and chaotic to go cache hunting. We will be back
Our mission today was to pick up caches in the last two sectors we needed to complete our 360 degree circle as per Project GC. This cache came up in one of our list of caches to target and it was a nice easy find. Thanks go to pjmpjm for placing this cache and to Purplepeopleater for maintaining it. The log was signed and all was put back as it had been found before we left, along with ilook4geo.
Out on the hunt today for a few particular caches with goingplaces2. This was one of the targets. No trouble finding it, then signing the log and replacing it. TFTC.
Stopped by before walking along the firetrail with family... had dnf'd this years ago, luckily a quick find today to convert this to a smiley! Tftc

Easy find after some previous attempts when it probably was not there. Tftc and the adoption.
Found with Mr MR after visiting the Dural Return and Earn. He'd picked up this one in 2013 and claims it's an easier find now than it was then . Thanks pjmpjm and Purplepeopleater.
An easy little find at the beginning (or end) of a nice walk along the fire trail.

We spied this soon after we parked before the walk to Out of Range, but there was a muggle in a nearby car, so we waited to make the find until after we returned. A nice easy find and another good reason to head out along the Firetrail. TFTC.

Out on a late afternoon cache run collecting some GA trigs as well as some GC caches. In all we found four GC caches including OGB1, Dural Tunks Bush, Dural Mitchell Fire Trail & Thunderbolts and Lightning. After a short search the container was found. It was a nice warm start to spring so we decided to grab this cache and the other two along the fire trail. Did not find it at first as the smart phone GPS was send us around in circles. We had the right idea, but checked out all the wrong places before finding it. Thanks PPE.
Came out and grab this one today for the heavenly creatures count. I was disappointed in myself not setting this one up in my watch list and grabbing the unloved days when it was replaced. Cant have everything. Thanks Purplepeopleater for the placement. All good at the cache Cheers

A nice and sunny winter's afternoon so great to do a bit of geocaching in the neighbourhood, as there are still a lot of colourful to-do dots on my geocaching map.
At the start of the fire trail we started with a first find. Not too complicated so good to get the geosenses warmed up.

Now that the weather is a bit cooler, I though it would be nice to go for a cycle on a fire trail somewhere not too far from home. Three caches are listed in this area, so it looked like a good option for the afternoon.
There are now some chickens on the other side of the fence. Fortunately, nobody else was around. I had a quick look where the compass was pointing and spotted the container almost immediately.
I added my name to the new log sheet; glad this one has been replaced and is again active, ready for finding.
After putting back the container I was on my bike, heading off to the next cache along the trail.

After seeing this had been recently replaced and there had been a couple of successful finds on the Australia Day weekend I detoured off Galston Road on the way to tonights Coffee, Cakes and Conundrums event.
I'd never been into this part of Dural before. It looks like a lovely area.
There was easy parking at the end of the street and once the GPS had found its way here it was a quick find.
Signed the log and visited some TBs then had a quick walk down the fire trail as I had plenty of time and love walking in our beautiful bush.

I was not planning on a big day of caching but when AlphaDeltaIndigo and Everest High practically turned up on my door step and offered a ride, it was almost impossible for me to refuse their offer. While I missed out on their early morning event hopping and caching down at Oatley, I was happy to pick it up from here.
Our first stop was the ‘Australia Day 2018’ Event Cache at Forestville RSL. We bumped into vk2df in the car park and headed in together. It was nice meeting and chatting with the group of cachers, some who had travelled as far as Canberra, the Central Coast and even Newcastle to attend. I dropped two trackables into the event, which I had picked up in New York to bring back to Australia. Thanks For The Event Cache BindiGuider.
Traffic along the Pacific Highway proved a nightmare as we set a course for the next event, ’The Great Aussie Keytag Trek’, at Fagan Park in Galston. By this stage we were now running rather late and were at risk of missing the tail end of the event. We called ahead to the Cache Owner to flag our impending arrival and managed to find a more fluid detour to reach the event in time. While we ran out of time to partake in the key tag trek, we were able to catch up with some familiar faces. Thanks For The Event Cache Calypso62.
I noticed the ‘Dural Tunks Bush’ in Dural was 22 months unloved, and as soon as I told AlhpaDeltaIndigo and Everest High, they had blinkers on ready to hit it up. An easy find for us, which was nice and great to collect more unloved days, as always. Thanks For The Cache pjmpjm and Purplepeopleater - and thanks for maintaining the cache so it could be found once again.
‘Thunderbolts and Lightning’ in Galston. Finding the cache was the easy part! As many have before us, extracting the log was much tricker than expected. Our suspicions proved to be right on the money but it took multiple checks of every option, before the log revealed itself. Thanks For The Cache Calypso62, you devious nutter!
We continued to ‘Dural Mitchell Fire Trail’ in Dural, and enjoyed the pleasant walk towards Ground Zero. This was another cache, which took us longer than expected but we knew it was not going to be the most straightforward hide. After resorting to the logs of previous finders for clues, we widened our search and broadened our thinking somewhat, before I spotted something glistening in the sun’s rays. I indicated to Everest High and AlphaDeltaIndigo that I had spotted what we were looking for and gave them the chance to see the forest through the trees (or is it the tree through the forest… who can be sure?). Thanks For The Cache pjmpjm and alfyboy.
I was keen to attempt at least one Multi Cache today, so we set our sights on ‘What's Cookin??’ in Kenthurst. We collected the information at the published co-ordinates easily enough and continued towards the final location. Once there, it was a straight forward find and we had the Cache In Hand without the kitchen burning down. A nice sized container was the prize! Thanks For The Multi Cache Calypso62.
‘Four!!!!!!’ Mystery Cache in Dural. I had found the former cache, which was virtually identical to this new one, so knew exactly where to go. A nice quick park and grab for us, as we started making our way back home. Thanks For The Mystery Cache Purplepeopleater.
One last detour on the way would be ’Train Spotter - 46 Class’ in Beecroft. I remember coming here once late at night to have a look but must have forgotten to log a Did Not Find for some reason. This time, however, we were here during day light and the search was a little easier. Co-ordinates are fairly spot on for us and it was not long until we uncovered the sneaky cammo, along with the cache. Thanks For The Cache Blundo Busters.

I love finding an unloved cache, especially a replacement cache with a clean log sheet. TFTC Purplpeopleeater
The old fence has been removed along withe the cache. A new container is now in place.
Doubt this one is still there? Part of the fence at GZ has recently been replaced and it looks like the cache may have been compromised?
Looked quickly yesterday but the dog from the neighbours house was going ballistic so after 5 mins gave up. Used the hints and logs prior to narrow it down but no luck today. Is it still there?
Had a bit of a hunt but couldn't find. Will come back again with GPS and see if that helps.

I had originally started to look for this cache after I parked, but just after I got out of the car, the nearby resident decided it was a good time to bring the recycling bin to the "kerbside". So I kept walking.
Having returned from "Out of Range", I was happy to see the gate at the start of the fire trail and headed towards GZ. I followed the iPhone compass arrow and luckily found the sneaky hide in the first place I looked. TFTC

While it is a bit too warm outside, i know that it will get hotter yet, so I should find some of these bushwalk caches now.
I was led a bit astray from the description and hint at first, but the coordinates are spot on. It was a shame that there was done roadworks being done further down the fire trail so I couldn't get the rest of them here.
Thanks for the cache.

26/08/15. 10:51 AM. Cache #2887. Streak day #430.
2nd of 5 today.
After finding "Wood It Be Here?" in Castle Hill (redemption of a former DNF), I came here hoping also to redeem this former DNF (my last attempt was in May and I've seen since that the CO has put in a replacement).
Once I was parked, I started looking at the wrong part of fence, but kept moving along until eventually making the find. Glad to clear this one now. I then headed to Kenthurst for three caches off one walk; my next find was "The Long Swamp". TFTC.

#2017 (1 of 7 today) (Streak day 80)
After completing a number of chores earlier in the day, I decided to spend the afternoon north of home, and clean up a few DNFs I'd accumulated out this way over the months.
Of the 7 caches I targeted today, 4 were previous wipe outs for me - and I found the lot! HUZZAH!
END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION
Last time I was here the cache had gone AWOL, so no find for me. But in the meantime a little birdie had chirped loud enough to get this replaced. So it was a logical starting point for today's DNF Blitz!™.
Arrived at GZ and unlike last time I immediately spotted something a little suss. Naturally I checked it first (for a change ) and had CIH!

I parked at the gate and headed down the fire trail for "Out of Range" and then "Dural Mitchell Fire Trail". Finished with those, I was back at the car and I assumed I had already made my last find for the day. (All the DNFs on this one gave me no confidence of a find here today). Nobody about, but I still only gave this a brief look before giving up. Might need a CO check?

Stopped by with dad (who has found this cache previously), but no luck. There is a very new fence at GZ that may have affected this placement? Will be back after owner check!
First cache of the day, spent a few minutes looking around before the hide was spotted. Surprisingly given the amount of rain everything was nice and dry here. A devious little hide, thanks pjmpjm & PPE.

Ah closer to where I parked but walked around for 20 min till I finally something caught my eye. very camo cache. wow!! accompanied with Everlasting, Thanks for leading us here.
Search for a while until sevabo found it - good hide spot. Signed the log. Thanks PPE.
Found with imgettingannoyed on his birthday!! Took us a while but fould the little sucker in the end. Extracting the log was tough.
So I looked and looked and then gave up. And move. On down the trail. Messaged the adopted cache owner and his help was a little vague. However I pressed on as we came back past and widened the search from the posted coords. Put my hands where they shouldn't be with no luck. But then I spotted something that I thought it could be. Grabbed it and there was movement. Clever hide.
Being in the area clearing out a few caches close to home. This ended up being my last cache as i was fighting the light and had to get home. This cache is a beauty right on the edge of the bush and could be more difficult then it actually is. Throughly enjoyed my visit here even though i could not find the cache a little further down the fire trail.

This was a very sneaky hide, though I found it quite quickly. More by luck than design I think. There was a muggle mowing the lawn at the front of the property opposite but she did not seem to take any notice of me. Maybe they are used to strange people foraging about in the bush at the end of Mitchell Road.
Thanks pjmpjm and Purplepeopleater.
Thanks pjmpjm and Purplepeopleater.
After seeing some very impressive homes along the way, we parked at the end of the road and soon found the sneaky cache, very well hidden. Thanks for a good hide, we liked it.
Nice little hide! I overlooked it once before I realised. You defiantly need tweezers for this one as the log was well jammed in!
