I write "WRITE NOTE" because it is a time when we can't go on a long adventure, so I travel in the memories of my visits to New Zeusemad. Of this adventure in New Zealand, I only stretch Travel Bug. Writing "FOUND IT" is probably not right anymore, it wasn't today, but I was here before. And unfortunately I won't get here again.
I am sending a beautiful greeting from the Czech Republic.

Spikey guardians almost stopped us finding this, but we got there! Found with Kanenz and geo-family
I have a 3 month sabbatical mostly traveling around the planet. My goal is to find and log 1000 caches. New Zealand is my 4th station traveling from south Christchurch to north Auckland, my first visit here, its far away. This is my sabbatical-cache #518.
It is pleasing to see that there is still some regional industry surviving.
Cheers and thanks,

Dunedin, Timaru, Invercargill caching trip for 3 days with rustynz and Rebel98. This trip involves a very long mission to obtain as many as we can of the new Tuia Mātauranga GeoTour series. We started in Auckland some time ago and intend to finish the series sometime this year. Only 100 caches to get for the souvenir… lol. We do have other caches on the horizon and we’re trying to get as many of those caches as well.
We pulled into Milton for lunch, then thought coming here might be a good idea, rusty decided she'd go for this cache, so we left her to it while watching from the comfort of the rental car. That's the kinda gentlemen we are..lol.
She came back all smiles, so it's safe to say she found the cache.

On a caching adventure with some Westies (rustynz, rebel98 and gorby) to Otago and Southland, on a long weekend of caching fun
We had stopped for lunch, Subway here I come. So mentioned this cache just around the corner, a piece of history. The GPS bounced around a bit, for some reason it looked like the cache was closer to the building. But after spotting the hint item, I was soon reaching for the cache.
Thanks for the hide cat_e_bear

A let's look at this one .
So parked near the gz and a bit of a surch soon had the cache in hand.
Sign log and replace.
All nice in dry .
Great to see these old buildings still standing and being used.
A quick coffee and back in the road.

But of course we had to stop and snaffle a few caches on the way!

After a quick yummy morning tea at a cafe along the street and around the corner to find the next cache. A walk/push through some bushes led me to a chained up goat and a cache.

TFTC #1032 found with rachb, enjoyed this little escape back into olden times
.Quick easy find here amongst the brambles and vines. Cheers. Pity this park has been let go. Could be a great little spot. Needs a CITO to bring it back. When we arrived was trying to workout what these buildings were for. Thanks for the info on the cache page. Much appreciated.
Its Wednesday 24 April and we are off exploring Milburn, Lawrence and Lake Mahinarangi today. Awesome!!
Its another awesome geoventure to Dunedin, with The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby, Jack, Jill and William all along for the trip. Had a wonderful 10 days exploring Dunedin. It was great catching up with local cachers at several events we attended. Lots of walking and driving, with the odd cycle and wave ride to jazz things up. Thanks to all the COs that made this trip a wonderful success. Even managed to bag some lab caches along with wherigos, earth caches and events, with the usual mix taking us to some amazing places..

Rather a nice little park here. With a bit of enthusiasm with a lawnmower and some loppers it could be a pretty neat little park. Add a seat so we could actually have a yarn...If I lived next door I probably would mow this park. It's worth preserving. So what was it here for? A gift tot he community from the mill?
Taybeedragon and I have an eleven day Easter weekend in Dunedin. Although, let's face it, given that we are from Blenheim and Picton that means two of those days was spent in travelling. In that time we grabbed a smidge over three hundred caches. Not bad, considering the amount of time spent way out on the back roads, on bicycles or canoeing on the water. A few virtuals, larges, letterboxes, earths, wherigos, and even ten lab caches in the haul. An awesome weekend!

Found the mill and found the park. Found the cache easily and the log book is like the park, a forgotten mess. We SL on a new logbook popped in a new baggy and flicked the old unbagged log. Returned cache to the hide a bit more hidden than how we found it and headed to the next missing five missing cache GZ's. tftc
Is this not private property? Had a quick look but felt like I was trespassing even though the area is unkempt. Left it without looking too hard - gz is covered in rose bush and I'm not about to get shredded to pieces.
Tim got out of the van to get this, as he took a while, Viv got out to help and as always, just as she arrives, he finds it!

Always wanted to see where the factory is. Sad to see it like this but its good there is a smaller yarn factory still there. TFTC cat_e_bear
Tftc. Love the history here. Came in from a different direction and found an awesome grotto
An interesting stop on my way through town. I felt a bit exposed and the property felt sort of private. I used my car to block me from view and headed in for a quick find. Thanks for placing a cache here. I like old buildings and local history. TFTC.
We went too the fence and the big tree
And I saw a spider and I pulled a rock and found it it was awesome

A bit uncomfortable as long wet grass was a problem, but, persevered and found it. Tftc.
Really unsure about this felt like I was trespassing jumped in quickly grabbed and sneaked out under cover...there load blasts of what sounded like steam coming from in side the building...very interesting thanks for the cache cat_e_bear
I felt really uncomfortable coming in here. Sad to see this neglected spot but interesting to see the original woolen mill buildings. Thanks for bringing us here cat_e_bear
Wet grass and a somewhat overgrown and neglected spot where I had to push through the undergrowth to reach the cache. The area was quiet on a Saturday. Thanks.
A little wet under foot. Search took longer than it should have. Finally cache in hand. TFTC
Stopped here on my journey to Dunedin. Once I worked out a way in it was nice straight forward find.

William and Oprah had just finished a cycle ride to Chrystalls Beach with me. Quite and achievement since William is from Hong Kong and hadn't done a lot of cycling, Oprah from Taiwan and not been cycling for a while ... and I gave them old bikes with loose chains (while I rode my touring bike in mint condition) ... but hey, they're younger than me and you have to get any advantage you can. While the other riders in the AOK Mountain Bike group went for a well deserved drink in the pub, I said "Do you know about geocaching?" These guys are always up for new challenges, so we took a walk and William and Oprah found their very first cache with me. I hope I have them hooked! Thanks for placing the cache.
Thanks for bringing me here.
As another former fibre business owner it is sad to see one of the strongest NZ producers of yarn close down.
Beautiful buildings

Moved quickly to this cache to find a garden in need of some urgent gardening. Bashed through the growth and uncovered the cache fairly quickly. TFTC!
We found the cache on this quiet corner of New Zealand.
There was not much going on, but further down the road there was a A + P show.

Found by a Canadian visiting your beautiful country. I got my feet wet in the long grass, but it was worth the trouble as it will be my most southern cache. TFTC
Day three of my long, long weekend in Otago and Southland and I’m loving every moment of it. Woke this morning in my Airbnb in Winton to the sound of rain so I was a little downcast thinking I was back to wet shoes and socks for the day. However, my fears were misjudged as the day was crisp and clear. Left Winton with a good impression and more than I arrived (pre-arrival all I knew that the only woman hanged in New Zealand, Minnie Dean, came from here).
Making good progress heading towards Dunedin. Although the Police thought I was making too good a progress and have issued me with a fine to slow me down. Oh well, these things happen. A quick find here so I could get on my way towards Dunedin. TFTC

A quick park and grab with Sirbennis. A quick park and grab in a place that I gather was very nice to come and sit and have lunch. Shame to see it like this. TFTC
On a family touring holiday from the UK with Higster. Our drive today took us on the scenic highway from Invercargill to Dunedin. En route we passed through this town. As Mrs JK2 and Mrs Higster were originally the Milton sisters, we had to stop and get a cache here. Found after a short search. TFTC
#127 I remember the sound as the old whistle would go off four times a day. Nice little hide and in good nick too. Plenty of little trails, looks like a lot of people walk through here for whatever reason, TFTC
Easy to find cache that was not hidden. Signed the little woman's new logbook and rehid a bit better. Until the area gets some 'love' the T rating will have to be raised. TFTC
Took a day out with Hevic to Balclutha to blitz a handful of caches. Apart from 2 DNFs we had some pretty good success. This was the last for the day on the way back home. I admit to being a bit disappointed by this one - it was marked 1/1 but is certainly no longer accessible by wheelchair. A shame for the garden, because I'm sure it looked lovely. As for the cache, I think it has turned into a 2/2 but was findable. Cheers!
We left another breadcrumb on our trail around NZ. What a wonderful country. - Zeke & George of Hot Springs, Arkansas, USA
Today was a special day of geocaching in New Zealand, we head out to do three old caches to help us with our Jasmer challenge, Sutton Salt Lake (Middlemarch, Otago), Botanical Gardens (Dunedin, Otago) and Table Hill (Owaka, Otago). We started with Table Hill we followed the instruction in the description to enter the wood, arrived at the PZ we start locking around we after 10 minutes there she was. After we head to Botanical Gardens in Dunedin, this one is a quick find and finally we that the road again to Sutton Salt Lake in Middlemarch and again a quick find. We also did a few one along the road and in Dunedin.
