Unfortunately we are now no longer allowed in this area and all the trail signs have been removed. (Basically any part south of the Bibbulmun track towards the Weir will incur a fine if found in the area.)
Will relocate this series to another spot soon.

TFTC, co ords off a bit. Then again my GPS has been going crazy. Cache in good condition (not trying to do the series, just logging some more caches). Thanks!
I had tried to head to this one the previous evening, but as it was getting late, and from where I was it seemed a bit of bush bashing would be required, so I headed back to the camp grounds. After packing up this morning, I headed back down the road, and took some right hand tracks till I got to gz. Cache found in good condition.
Having lost sight of the markers on the way to this one, I resorted to google maps on my phone to help me find tracks to lead me to GZ . Once there, it was a quick find in a well shaded area. I added my name to the log before rehiding as found ... all good with this one as well.

Found while on a short one-week holiday to Perth and surrounds.
Needing a decent bushwalk I headed to Mundaring Weir looking for some trails.
I could feel the heat making my way up here (30degrees +), but at least the cache was in a great shady spot.
Thanks for the cache, Chwiliwr.

Back here this weekend to have a go at this set of cache's. Easy find and got the required info. Added 1912 penny and 1962 half penny to cache.

Accidentally found it on our "normal" bushwalk (no planned geosearch, no GPS with us). The cache was visible so tried to hide it little bit better. Anyway - thanks for the cache.
This cache is such a long way from #13 and the trail markers were lacking on this section of the trail so it was a frustrating walk with plenty of backtracking, and in the end some straight line bush walking, to reach the cache. A quick find since we approach from a direction where the cache was visible. Thanks for the cache Chwiliwr.
I went in a clockwise direction having been in the area the previous week. I still had a lot of uphill sections, lost the track and myself nearly, I tried hard but found my way.
What a great walk, nice views, kangaroos, claustrophobic pine plantations where only pine trees grew - sterile.
But yeah it was a good walk. Now I mis placed teh logs didn't I and did "Wier oh Wier" instead of this one. I walked past this and had to double back. Some cross country bush bashing, but all good, just increased the hike and the time [which I dont have] Thank you Chwiliwr

Part 3 in our run another of the CPS circuits. The length and terrain certainly seem to be increasing. Some nice views over the dam and through the bush. We disturbed a few roos in the heat and did not really have any issues with the. hides although mobile reception is very bad in the back half of the circuit and leaves you stranded trying to get the images for the two mystery caches. The track markings are a bit hit in miss and seem not to have enough at key points particularly at intersections and when the track seems to bend away from GZ. We completed the signing duties and have a growing collection of cards.

Did this series in reverse so this was our fifth. We will gather the clues and return another day for the mystery caches.
First time we've ever followed trail markers, it was lots of fun! This one was a bit off GZ.
Found by the richlink / iluvtrekking boys team while the girls were off doing the easy stuff. TFTH.
Out with iluvtrekking for a days caching in the hills. The boys volunteered to do the hard slog and completed most of the Mundaring CPS caches while us girls cached in the town itself.
We went out today to track down the CPS series by Chwiliwr with Kimakazi. I attempted this series last year but when we arrived for some reason the coordinates werent on the Gps except CPS-17. It was a beautiful walk through the bush and a great way to do this series and a couple of others along the Bibbulmun Track. Thanks Chwiliwr the walk.
2nd in the series. Might stick to the track next one,,, punching through the bush with Geo sister in law trying to keep up with Geo Husband, Brother and Nephew,,, hey boys,,,, your legs are longer than ours.

Quick find on arrival at GZ because the cache was visible from 30 metres away ... maybe the weather removed some of the camo. I hid it a bit better. Took an overland route here from potter23's nearby "Weir oh Weir could it be?" cache. Maybe I should have stuck to the trail. My geo-wife thought we should have. But we both enjoyed a startlingly quiet walk through the introduced pine trees just before arriving at GZ.

[:(!] After lunch with Go All Blacks, I took a liesurely stroll to find this cache, arrived at GZ and within a couple of minutes I had the cache in hand, the cache was easily seen because it was exposed so I cover it with natural material. TNLNSL TFTC/TFTH
What a lovely spot...pretty sure we came in the wrong way,but beautiful and cool for a rest. Tftc.
I spent waaay too much time trying to find this cache. I didn't have very good GPS reception and the indication of where GZ was kept jumping around by up to 50m. Searched what I thought where all the obvious spots before finally giving up. After completing the rest of the caches in the series I decided to come back for one final try. Reception was still poor but found the cache quickly this time. Calculated the locations for the two bonus caches only to find that I had about a 1km back track to find them. TFTC.
Come from Weir oh Weir could it be? - yet still lost track mmm so wander along via bushland - enjoyed myself but no see any animals yet... finally found the container and signed the log. Thanks Chwiliwr.
As directed, I continued along the Paten Brook trail from #13 to here, which was a reasonable walk, and at times the trail was heading in the wrong direction to where I wanted to go.
Given how closely spaced 14-18 are along the trail, I wished there was more caches between 13 and 14 so that it wasn't such a long gap between caches.
A quick and easy find here, and I discovered that Gwiber and Nont had been here before me today, I didn't remember seeing their logs in #13.
Thanks Chwiliwr!

Continued on down multiple choice paths, through this lovely patch of forrest, to this cache. Seems like some recent gardening had been done around GZ.
Two down, only 8 more to go... Quickly signed log, took the card and off to number three. Thanks for the hunt Chwiliwr.

We parked in the carpark near the start of Paten's Track and completed the circuit in an anticlockwise direction as suggested.
The 'gumleaves' guided us around and we only strayed from the track for short distances to find the caches which were all found very quickly.
It was quite a long walk, especially as we had already completed the CPS series at The Spectacles and Karnup this morning and found the final as well. But it is a really beautiful area and now we could take our time.
Thanks Chwiliwr for bringing us here and thanks for the hunts.

Eighth cache for the day, the GPS had me searching slightly off to one side of where the cache was located. The cache was well hidden so wasn't easily seen, but it was located in the end and the vital information was retrieved. I passed a family walking the trails and each time I call in to find a cache they pass on by as I'm signing the log, I then pass them on the trail while walling to the next cache, They must be wondering what's this guy up to!. Thanks for the cache.
The wrong co-ords and that's my own fault for just sending it to the GPS with out reading the logs. But I was not the first at the wrong GZ if I may cut and past The Machman [and there was distinct signs that a Cacher
had been searching the area with great gusto prior to our arrival.]
had been searching the area with great gusto prior to our arrival.]
I spent a good half hour searching for this cache only to find on getting home that the wrong co-ords were published. I will be back!!
After finding CPS-13 and another locally placed Cache we decided to head off to look for CPS-14.
As we were walking we discussed that the planned trail was not taking on the desired route
and had to finally make a diversion up a water run-off trail to reach GZ.
On arrival there seemed to a very likely object in which to hide a cache, and there was distinct signs that a Cacher
had been searching the area with great gusto prior to our arrival.
We searched systematically the area, then expanded our search a little, then out to 20 meters from GZ, but no joy.
We were a little disheartened as we needed the info contained within this cache to find the final puzzle caches.
Eventually we gave up and decided to move on to CPS-15.
As we left GZ I emailed the Chwiliwr for guidance, and just as we arrived at CPS-15, a prompt response was received
apologising that the wrong coords had been posted and in fact we had been searching completely the wrong area.
With the new GZ in hand, we then backtracked back down the trail to make a swift find at the right coords.
So after all that a bonus joint *FTF* !!!!
No log would be complete if i were not to mention that absolute torrential rain that was drowning us as we trundled
up and down the trail....im sure we were quite a sight !!!!
TFTC and for your prompt replies.....!

Okay so with the odd sprinkle of rain now, we continued on from CPS-13. We still weren't too sure about the track for a while but it seemed to be taking us towards where we wanted to go. Hmmm 60mt's off the track for GZ, we both had misgiving right from the outset here, but trust the GPS. We arrived at GZ to see that blingg had the same GZ. We spent ages here (mostly not in the rain) the sun even came out for 3 or so minutes? We searched and searched but no luck. Time to move on as it was getting quite late. Photo attached of a muchly perused log (Would make a good spot for another hide 1 day??) As we left the area The Machman emailed CO hoping for some confirmation that we were blind? So we trudged onwards to CPS-15, over 1km the way there when an email came back oops a typo seems to have occurred. Damn do we have to go back 1km, Hmm maybe I'll stay here whilst you go I mused. Not! Okay only 300mt's back to the correct GZ, okay I can manage that. Arrived at GZ a bit disheartened by now, but a relatively quick find for joint *FTF* (spirits now flying high) TFTC Chwiliwr
