AaaaAaa WATCH out for the slugs and this cache was nice and heard about the history TFTC rating
Well it's ANZAC Day today. Our little Maungatapere Community has been having a service run by the local primary school kids for 20 years now. It's at a reasonable time - you bring a plate to enjoy a cuppa and chat afterwards. We moved away for a few years so it was nice to attend today to commemorate the sacrifices made by our service personal. It was also a good chance to catch up with old friends. My daughter wasn't recognized as she was only 5 when we left the area. Now she's 17 and very tall. Anyway we then went home and watched a movie before I set off for Auckland for a few days geocaching. Only time for a few finds today before I'm off to drop a monarch butterfly chrysalis to the Grandkids. A quick find in an area of Orewa I've never been to. Thanks for the cache
I came to New Zealand with my wife on honeymoon
It is hard to log all the caches, I found here in New Zealand, so excuse my mass log for caches around Orewa, please
At first i started with caches around Estuary Cycleway, then to Red Beach, Hatfield´s Beach, Millwater and Silverdale. Some of the caches are now disabled as i can see, and some of them were disabled, but were on place.
After consulting with owner I made maintanance on some of disabled and missing caches.
I found many really nice caches...it was awesome, but i think, that some of them (for example Bison caches) have too low D/T combos...but owners are really helpful, so I managed to find each of them. I usually borrowed bike from my brother in law and then in the early morning, or in evening went geocaching. I really liked that routine. So I´m really thankful for all the caches on/near Estuary
I need to write here, that I really like nature in NZ...its a big difference between Europe :/
So – TFTC, guys, and especially The Wonder Stuff for placing and G-2 for placing and hints...and sry for mistakes in my poor English...have a nice day(s) there and u should come to find some caches here in Slovak Republic

We still had a bit of time left before our takeaway would be ready for collecting so a PNG seemed ideal. We tried to show Granddad the house we looked at up here, but couldn't see it (probably already been replaced with 10 more). Daddypig pulled up by the water tower but it was raining and we really didn't want to run down the road, so he drove just a bit further .............and went too far. Turned around and parked opposite. GeohoundandI ran across the road and grabbed it. Now off back down the road to pick up the Thai takeaway.
Quick grab on our way to have a look at the block houses...

It is definitely a great view as you drive along the ridge. I haven’t been up here for quite a few years and the development is amazing. TFTC
A nice quick find thanks. Wow there is a lot of new development going on up here!
Time for another trip to the North Island for Ms_KR and me. Wellington and beyond here we come. Today we revisited some dnf's from yesterday, and headed out West to see family. Wow it is still pretty hot which I think is unusual..
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

The nearby Evelyn Page complex is huge. Living in Christchurch, where she is born made me think of her art work that's well represented there at Te Puna Waiwhetū, especially Summer Morn. Tftc
The drizzle was settling in so did a quick park and grab before heading downhill for an icecream before heading back home.
Out and about with the elder Future Finder taking the new geo-wagon out for a spin. Of course, we stopped for a few hides along the way. This is one of those hide that pops up on my GPSr when I am passing through or caching in the area, but have not actually got to, until today. A quick drive up the hill and we managed to park right next to GZ. GZ was nice and obvious and it was just a matter of peeling back the long grass to reveal the hide. Nice views from up here. Cheers for the cache placement 2newkiwis and thanks to G2 for adopting!
Quiet a lot of overgrown sharp looking pants so I didn't dig too deep for this one at the risk of getting hurt but when you look over the bushes it is a good view
Out with Jag50 and my niece and nephew on a big caching adventure. Great view from up here. We let my niece locate her very first geocache.
Quick park and grab. This one was found by Aiden's young niece on our way to the CITO at Crocodile Island.
Out for a days caching with Remaker13 and Riser5 - logging as T18. Nice view TFTC
Out on a caching adventure with Tikitour and Riser5 to get 100 geocaches for the hidden creature souvenirs. Logging at T18. TFTC
Nice easy find, also found some gorse with my finger.
Nice easy find, also found some gorse with my finger.
Took the Orewa offramp heading north instead of going through the tunnels. Last time I stopped here there were builders working across the road so didn't hang about, but no one around today. Quick park and grab, didn't even need to turn off the car engine. TFTC
Quick find while in the area - just as well it was a park and grab in the rain. TFTC
Persuaded Ric to take a diversion up the hill !
Luckily we were driving not walking.....!
Good views....Ric soon had cache in hand !

On the way to the top of Northisland in NZ Kap Reinga, what er have to do? Geocaching! Quick nice find. Greetings from Germany. TFTC
Kind of got our co-ords wrong but discovered we were parked as on top of this as you could possibly get! Therefore this was almost a serious park and grab. Urban sprawl now creeping up from the rear. TFTC
Driving around Orewa to see different places I haven't been to before, naturally with geocaching that is always a possibility. Lovely view from up here although dam cold! So out and in I flew.
Well, todays weather forecast was for rain, all day, and they got it right. Very right indeed. I don't know about a cache mobile, today a waka would have been more fitting or even an ark. Got enough piggies and puppies to exceed the two by two rule too.
Target for today was a couple of letterboxes, a few unique Southern minutes of degrees for a challenge cache I'm creeping ever closer to achieving and anything else that I decided to stop in the pouring rain to try and write and get every single drop of rain down my neck.
Onto the main business of the day. Head along the linking road up to Kaipara Road then back down SH1 via Warkworth and some other places.
Up here for a quick cache then back on track again. A few snails guarding the container today.

Just searching for possible caches to do today and realised that we'd done this back in March, sorry for not logging. thanks for the cache
Today was my final day in NZ before returning to Australia. Was out this morning in the Orewa area for a caching run and this was the second find for the morning.
Parked at GZ & spent some time enjoying and soaking in the ocean air. Got to work to read description and hint resulting in a quick find. GPS had me going to the long grass but satellite view had me at the proper location.
SL & replaced. TFTC!

Went to a couple before this without any luck so glad to find this one straight away! Taking my daughter on driving lessons with a few stops on the way . Wonderful view - have never been up here before so thanks for bringing me here.
Quick find as had to be up here from home to see client at 8.30, and as ended up being very early it was time to cache,
No problems with muggles at this time

Found it. GPS jumping but no need to go off road much. Container had a bit of water in it.
Found with Chosen1978 on Mega Trip. Last find of long day. Thanks for bringing us here to this wonderful part of the country.
Last find for the night, quickly located cche and logged as found with Granville86a, TFTC!
I arrived into Auckland at 7am with Edvern via the overnight bus from Palmerston North. We are a day early for our first Mega appointment - the GeoNorth tour, but there is still no time to waste. Straight away it is into a hire car and onto 101 Dalmations. Nice sunny day, perfect for caching.
101 is done, now to do just a few more to make sure we get 100 caches today (some of the dalmations had run off)
Found almost on dusk. Nice sunset from here.

Very quick find, which was good after the time spent not finding a cache up the road.
Fantactic views today, the tide was in so the river was looking nice, even if it was an overcast day. TFTC

We spent the afternoon in the Orewa area finding the many new caches that have been published. Funny enough we had found a cache at Westward Ho in the UK a couple of months ago. GC2PV7P. Quick find for us. TFTC.
