On a warm day we were out for a walk. This was one of the caches we had in our sites as we wandered down to Beach Rd. There were a few muggles about walking, but we had a clear run when we got to GZ. The puzzle took a number of sessions, but we got there in the end. Found the cache at GZ quite quickly fortunately.Family matters have brought us to Melbourne for a period of time yet to be determined. As we spend time here however it gives us the opportunity for some caching in areas we would not usually get to.We chased a wide variety of caches and Labs with some great puzzles and Labs in some beautiful spring weather.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache gmj3191.**SKI Pair****

Found with icw. I was initially puzzled about how to extract co-ordinates from this one. After re-reading the instructions several times and dropping a few pins around Beaumaris on Google Earth I hit on the solution. Tftc.
The bay was at low tide and tranquil. Most of the water birds were taking it easy. Meanwhile up in the coastal shrubs the honeyeaters and thornbills were hard at work.

Only saw two noteworthy birds little black cormorant and Australian Ganet. The others were waiting for some fisherman to throw his chips overboard. TFTC with
Found it in the rain.
Lucky there was tree cover to shelter under.

COVID lockdowns were perfect for solving puzzles and we finally got around to actually visiting this one today! TFTC
Our fourth Archibald find to end a perfect day in the Bayside area. We still have a few solved ones to collect and only one more to solve. An easier puzzle than most and I do like Ben Quilty’s work. The coast was clear at GZ which resulted in a quick find.
Thank you gmj3191 for all the great caches we have found today and for all the maintenance. We had an absolute ball!

I've been working my way through solving the Archibald series, and this puzzle was different from the others I'd tackled. While the puzzle was solved a while ago, today, I was in the area completing one of my daily walking challenges. Once at GZ, I found the cache fairly quickly - which is ideal for a busy location. I grabbed it from its hide, pretended to have lunch, and reapplied some much-needed sunscreen. Thanks for adding something to my little adventures around the bay.
With an Archibald solved today, I had another look at this one. With some fiddling around and a couple of attempts, the checker gave me the green light, so I added this to this afternoon's outing. I spied where I was sure it was hidden, but heard the crunching of gravel as a muggle approached. Then another couple from the other direction. Finally I was able get in an grab the cache, sign my name and replace it. Now off to two DNFs in a row.
Thanks for the cache. Maybe I'll have to check out the remaining ones. Then again, maybe not.

Out and about today in-between a short shift at work and a big card tournament in Clayton today, deciding to go out and collect some caches before the rain sets in today. A very successful afternoon all in all with only one dnf. Thanks for the cache and the little suburb adventure.

Not the most pleasant day but I needed to fill in an empty spot in my caching calendar. The solution to the puzzle was kindly provided by Emandel.
Quick find today. I’ve enjoyed solving the Archibald series, and I’m looking forward to the 2022 edition . TFTC
Can't remember when I solved this one, but it was probably during one of the 2020 lock-downs. Anyway I'd left it for a (metaphorical) rainy day and today was that day - one of just five dates that remain unfilled in my 366 grid.
After doing some shopping this arvo I drive the 20 mins or so to the area and parked nearby-ish, then walked to GZ... where I found a teenager standing about two feet away from the hide, staring at her phone.
Thinking she might be a cacher (Why otherwise stand in EXACTLY that spot?) about to make the find I did a rapid about-face and took a little wander for about ten minutes. When I returned, she was... still standing in exactly the same spot, still glued to the phone. (Which admittedly is not generally unusual for people these days, but those who have found this cache or have the final co-ords will understand why it's a bit of a rando spot for someone to stand doing that.)
I wandered off again; another ten mins. She's still there. It's actually kind of weird. I decide to walk past this time, as I do I see she's just... listening to music on the phone. But why does she have to do it there? Especially as in my walk-past I've also spotted what I am now 99% certain is the hide, right in front of her.
I stop again some distance away out of line of sight, decide that this cache is a wash for today, and start looking for a back-up to go after instead. There are a couple a short drive away, so I'm reading descriptions and deciding which to go for when... she walks past behind me. I wait for her to pass completely out of sight then head the other way, back to GZ where I check my hunch for the hide, and find... a very generous-sized container, as many of these Archibald caches seem to be.
Signed the log, visited a few trackables (I may return here to drop one or two off at a later date). Thanks for the cache and the ongoing art education, gmj3191.

I have been enjoying working through the Archibald puzzles and one day I might get around to finding all of the caches.. this one was a super easy find .. thanks for the puzzle and thanks for placing and maintaining the cache .. can’t wait till the new Archibald exhibition hits Geelong.. I’ll be there.
Yippeeee! Quick find. Love the Archibald and look forward to the event along with renditions of stories and it’s controversies. Totally unplanned outing until a few hours ago - nothing like spontaneity! Out and about with Crustyvarmint who happens to know some awful poetry about Archibald but at at least it’s awfully clever enough to be funny! Fun day out for the mountain lass to see the sea, breath the ozone and find a few caches with a puzzle buddy. Solved during lockdown as a distraction so finally here we are. Puzzle series is a great concept and suits my brain so TFTC and the FUN.
This is as far south as we plan to go today. Approaching GZ, Ronice walked straight to the cache. How does she do that?
Log signed and the container rehidden, it was off to the next discovery.
Thanks for your work gmj3191.

While in the original lockdown last year we worked through many puzzles interstate in anticipation of our 'freedom' but once it was made clear borders would be closed, we stuck to local caches. The Archibald series, just some of the ones we managed to solve. Today we wandered around the local district picking up some of them on this glorious sunny winters day.
We had to wait for many muggles sitting around enjoying the sun and the views to leave before making the find here.
Thanks gmj3191 for another fun puzzle to solve.

Solved this one quite a while ago, and finally got around to biking over to sign the log today. Thank you for the fun cache!
Ben Quilty is my favourite Australian artist, and I loved solving this puzzle, I could look at his work for hours. The puzzle took a while, but oh what satisfaction once I got it! Beautiful day to cache, so on my lunchtime walk I popped over to find this. Hardly anyone one about which was great, however the nearby bench was very popular with passersby and from there, not only did they have a magnificent view of the landscape, they also have a great view of the cache hiding position. After waiting (well, I went on a short walk) for muggle No.1 to move on, I grabbed the cache, and moved away to open and sign the log. Time to put the cache back and you guessed it, more muggles on the bench. Another short walk for me and when I returned they were gone. Phew, replaced the cache and admired the view from the bench for myself. TFTC gmj3191, I love this series. Fav from me.
A well hidden cache here. Took me a while to work out the puzzle, but got there in the end. Muggles are a problem here but just had to wait for the right moment. Nice souvenir was located in the cache. Thank you CeejayDenno. Might tackle the other in the series now. Thanks for the cache.
Well I can say that this puzzle had me somewhat stumped and I needed to reach out to a friend to assist.
Fortunately, I wasn’t far off and could safely say that this was on my to do list when the opportunity arose.
Well today is the day and whilst it’s raining sporadically, I managed to get to GZ between rain events.
As I was within 2m of GZ and about to start my detailed hunt, 2 Muggle walkers appeared from a nearby path. So had to wait until they left and then it was in for the grab. Whilst doing the business and looking through the loot, a dog walking Muggle passed by... Far out, this place is busy on a wet miserable day, what’s it like when it’s sunny...?
About to make the return and another Muggle zips by... arggghhhh....!
Righto, I am going to have to be quick here... sure enough, all tucked away and no sign of Muggles.
The cache, container and log are in excellent condition and I am 2nd on the new log book.
I visited 4 TB. Took a path tag and left the other stuff for someone else.
TFTC gmj3191.

As the CO had been out and replaced the missing cache, I went out today to find it. Luckily its a fairly nice day for a walk with no rain coming down. This time GZ was clear of council workers and there was only 1-2 odd muggles walking past for which I waited to pass.
A nice quick find today of a shiny new cache container and fresh empty logbook. There was a bit of treasure in there but as I already had some of these items from the generous CO, I wasn't going to be greedy and left them in there for the next finder to enjoy.
Thank you for the great puzzle and cache here gmj3191 I'm going to tackle the rest of them now.

Well, I went and did an Owner Check, but I couldn't find it either.
Things have sure changed a lot down there since I placed it, with some beautiful lawns and facilities not dreamt of in 2011.
I've replaced it, but it wouldn't be the first time I've replaced a cache that was really there all the time.

So finally after several attempts at trying to solve an Archibald puzzle, and after generous help from the CO, the puzzle was solved.
So I headed out to find the cache. After identifying GZ I looked around for about 10 mins checking from different angles. Couldn’t see anything.
Then a large group of Kingston Council workers suddenly appeared from behind the fenced off area opposite GZ so my search stopped and I had a cover story which I spun to one of the workers about how I was here trying to identify a particular species of tree. They bought my story. Then I left.
Not sure if this one is missing or hidden deeper down or it’s my poor eyesight not seeing it.
I’ll be back, thanks anyway gmj3191

Today Kmace and I joined forces to cache today while The _Evil_Muggle was playing wood turning in Tooradin. We headed to this area to find some of the Archibald Prize caches. I found this series last summer and solved them, some with a little help from the CO. This was the first on the list, as it was the first going up the Bay from Frankston on the map. It was a very warm, Summer Saturday afternoon by the time we got near GZ. Parking was at a premium in the car parks, but none were completely full. We found a park in a nearby street to GZ and Karen minded the car with windows down while I set off to make the find. She had found this one three years ago.
Despite there being lots of cars along the road and in the car parks there were surprisingly few Muggles along the track near the cache and it was easy to find a gap in foot traffic to find the cache and extract it. Most people must have been down on the beach. Great location and great puzzle which really made me think!

Made the extra walk in the rain to reach this cache. Having completed all of the other current puzzles, I only realised on the train to Mordiallic that I hadn’t seen this one yet.
Doing a mystery caches on the train isn’t as easy. Thought it would be an easier to divide and do conquer like the other newer ones in this series, and have it solved once we got there. Reading through the cache, had me perplexed but some ideas came to mind. Yet couldn’t get the green tick. Another idea came to mind, a little more trial and error, and let out a big woo hoo!!
A little surprised when the green tick finally showed!
A little further than we planned to walk today, but made the effort in the rain, thunder and a little lightening to sign the log book! Really lovely cache. TFTC!

Outing with my 25km limit. Crowd people at beach today. Solved the puzzle was last year. Found your cache gmj3191, thank you so much for placing it.
As we can now wander up to 25km, and can have up to 2 hours of recreational activity, I'll re-enable my caches.
Melbourne is currently in a Stay At Home situation.
If you found this cache within walking distance of your home, go ahead and log it.
This is within the bounds of legitimate exercise.
If you found this cache by driving to it, you're interpreting the rules to your own benefit, and not the community's. You should not be travelling to exercise, and interpreting caching as exercise is a long stretch anyway (pun intended).

Came to grab this during my lunch break. Had to wait a while for there to be no foot traffic to retrieve it but fortunately there was a long enough break for me to grab it, sign it quickly and put it back. I enjoyed the puzzle. I don’t think I ever would have solved it without the hint. TFTC
Woo first puzzle cache! Interesting little puzzle, plus a great hiding place. Took one of the koalas and replaced it with a batman patch. TFTC!

Disabled for the duration of the Covid-19 crisis.
Although exercise is ok, beaches, parks etc are gradually being closed, and we are being asked to stay home.
The possibility to transmit the virus by surface contact exists, so why take chances?
At the end of the day, geocaching is a game, and we are dealing with a serious Public Health issue.
We need to get our priorities in order.
I believe the responsible thing is to disable all my caches, until the crisis passes.
Thanks.

A late evening drive this side of town to ensure somebody was home to serve a summons on meant that MontsII and I had an opportunity to park near this cache! I stayed in the car and sent him forth you find the cache. Thanks for placing the cache gmj3191 and for the puzzle. I really need to come caching over here more often!
This time I agree with the choice of the 2011 Archibald prize!
At this time of the early evening, the place was deserted and I spotted something out of place that revealed the cache - wouldn't like to come here on a weekend.
Thanks gmj3191

Victoria Day 3: Mornington Peninsula
Drove down to the Mornington Peninsula today for some Vanilla Slices, good views and some caching. We started off at Brighton, and then headed up towards Arthur’s Seat, before having lunch in Sorrento. Capped off the visit with a trip to London Bridge and Diamond Bay Beach. Collected quite a few caches in some amazing locations today, too. Thanks for all the fun and views!
This is the specific log for this cache:
First cache of the day, and this one was a holdover from the last time I was in the area. This was a little too far off the main chain of caches for me to pick up, so I made it a point to make a quick stopover to nab this one. Quickly found by the lovely coastline and helped cleared another in this series. TFT? And Cache!

It was a lovely day for a cruise along the beach and grab a few finds. I had solved this puzzle about a year ago and loved doing it. I had made a deal with my teen daughter today, caches in exchange for her song choices. Found a parking spot easily and we were soon at GZ where I signed the log find while my daughter took a fake phone call for passing muggles. Back to the car, sadly in time to see the parking inspector photographing my car...doh, i forgot to buy a ticket. Oh well, at least we found the cache, thank you
Had to wait for a few muggles at this one but as it is a beautiful day, we decided that that wasn't too bad. Thanks for the cache.
Slowly working our way through the Archibald series. Not sure how many left to find but I'm sure there will be another before I catch up. Thanks for the cache.
Found & signed log with Let Them Eat Cache (which will become our team name when I retire this geocache name). Seriously, my wife did all the work on this one, I just drive her to the locations & enjoy the walk/view/sunshine! TFTC!
We've solved all the current Archibald puzzles (at this stage 2011-2018), and are slowly finding the caches. Three down, and now this one (& our 2nd Archibald for the day). Looking forward to the 2019 Archibald! Photo close-ish to GZ (but not really). Probably closer to original coords. Thanks gmj3191 for placing these caches & all the work that goes into the puzzles.

Today was a short work day and needing a non trad I came home and solved this one. The numbers was the easy part, but then what to do with them. Some more re-reading and bingo. A beautiful afternoon to come down this way. Lots of people taking advantage of this sunny day. I did manage to quickly retrieve the cache and sign and replace. Thanks for an interesting puzzle.

I have really enjoyed doing the Archibald series. I think I have solved them all and collected all the caches now. Until the 2019 one comes out.
I solved this a few years ago, but never having the chance be down this way. A friend of mine has had a few entries in the Archibald, painting Rex Hunt, Wilbur Wilde and others. I’ll have ask him why he stopped doing Archibald portraits.
Thanks for the puzzle

The last few weeks the temperature has been falling in readiness for winter. Geomum prefers this time of year to cache, but there has been a lot on lately and we haven't been out caching much. So like a squirrel gathering nuts, she has been preparing for an epic winter caching season and has been solving lots and lots of mysteries.
We did resort to using the hint to solve the puzzle. No shame here. The hide was so boldly placed! We managed to sneak in and sign log between muggles.
Thank you for placing the cache gmj3191! We look forward to solving and finding many more.

After a great morning paddling at the Geo Confluence event I thought that I would grab a few caches in the area.
I managed to solve this puzzle before the additional hint was added but had not gotten around to collecting the cache. Today I got to the GZ and made a quick find. TNLN. TFTC.

I knew I had a free day to cache coming up so started solving puzzles in the bay area ready for a frestyle assult. Today was time to collect them and I decided a bike adventure may be the easiest way for the majority. My endurance levels and enthusiasm don't align though and I spent most of ride thinking of were I could buy another drink and food. All up 43km ridden and 43 caches collected with 30 plus on the bike.
A jogger was doing laps here so stealth was needed plus plenty of muggles. Found after a couple of false starts. Thanks to gmj3191 for placing this cache.

Well this was my first attempt of any of these series and certainly an interesting way to do a puzzle. I enjoyed learning more about a topic that I've never been very good at. Surprised by some of the entries that qualified. Struggled on one of the answers, which meant that the checker didn't work but the CO was kind enough to assist.
Ran out of time a couple of weeks ago when I was in the area, so this morning being wide awake at way-to-early o'clock thought I would come back here. Parked a far distance away, so I could enjoy a walk in an area I don't get to much. Certainly the time to find this cache, pre-dawn on a windy wet morning. Didn't see one other person until after I was heading back towards the car.
Cache was found well hidden in the obvious place when at the GZ.
Thanks for the interesting puzzle gmj3191

Found at 1100.
I targeted specific caches today. Ones in different councils/LGAs for a challenge in Canberra, a large or two, several puzzles (like this one) that I had solved from my desk at home, and all of them had to be within striking distance of public transport. I was relying heavily on my myki card. I think that by the end of the day I'd almost worn it out.
This cache was easy to find except that there were several muggles walking past at regular intervals. It was a nice day for walking, it would seem. Eventually there was a break in the pedestrian traffic, allowing me to access the cache stealthily.
Thanks for the puzzle cache gmj3191!

In keeping with my efforts at finding beach-proximate caches during winter (thus minimising muggle presence) I thought I might put a smiley face on this odd little question mark.
I say odd and little because I can't for the life of me understand why there have been so many failed solutions according to the geochecker. Might this account for the relatively few finds over the past six years? Who knows? All I know is that unlike a number of mysteries I have laid eyes on this yielded the correct co-ordinates with a minimum of fuss and the hide was relatively straightforward.
I'm sure that the CO will have all the answers the next time I see him at an event.
One more puzzle in the Archibald series unless the CO is working on or about to put out a puzzle cache for the 2017 Archibald.

I solved this puzzle one lunchtime at work. I was very pleased that I worked out the coordinates all by myself! . Today I got an opportunity to find the cache. There was only the odd person about so it was a quick retrieval. Picked up unactivated TB from Uluru. TFTC
That took a while waiting for muggles to come an go go and come. But it's signed and we have the tb. Tftv
After a message from the CO confirming that it was still there I returned today to try again. This time I found it quite quickly and I was sure I had looked in this spot previously! I must have been a little unobservant!! Thanks to the CO for the challenge and the cache.

Solved the puzzle with the aid of the hint a few days ago. But no luck today finding the container. Even the details in the description did not help. I noticed it's been a few months since the last activity was logged so maybe it's gone or I just missed it. Will try again.
This was one of the very first puzzles I solved but I had never managed to get here to make the find. Tonight was the perfect night for a short walk and quick find at GZ. TFTC.

Decided to do a spot of caching after work today. So a quick call to n0w0rries, and we were soon on our way.
Once in this general area, I noticed I had a few solved but unfound puzzles here - "Finishing all the Archibald caches" being on my 2017 bucket list, we made sure we grabbed those at least.
However I soon realised I only had this one half solved. So with the information I had stored in notes, we soon finished this solve on the fly.
Very clever!

OzHockeyChick collected me for an afternoon of puzzle cache pick up.
Following in the footsteps of the intrepid vivdrogers, we made our way towards GZ.
A doggle walking it's human was spotted and we patiently waited for them to move along.
Spied the hide straight away and promptly discounted it.
Spent a few minutes searching at a different level until I returned to that suspicious location.
CIH! Signed and replaced.
Thanks gmj3191, as always, a nice sized container and easily accessible. [^]

I was looking for a nice beach to take the kids, and like all caring and selfless parents, I was doing that by scanning the GC map for interesting caches - that happened to appear next to a nice beach. I saw a puzzle, solved it, "and that," said I, while smiling to myself, "will be where we go tomorrow!" And so it was, that I found myself packing towels and crocs, organising buttered bread and ketchup, and gathering a bag of buckets and spades.
We drove down astoundingly easily - well: once I'd got beyond a few hairy bits in the city.
I parked and signed my life away to the parking meter, through a phone app, and we walked down to the sand. Eldest had a bit of a grump as it wasn't good construction sand for the fort he had carefully planned to build, and preallocated jobs to his siblings for. The other three dived straight into the sea and larked about for a bit. I found a fish washed up on the sand and tried to save it, but despite my resuscitation efforts, it was a gonner (see pic ).
We walked to the car via the solved gz which involved walking past the car and beyond a bit which confused the kids for a bit, till I made the tell tale "retrieval moves" and it dawned on them what I was doing.
Back at the car we tried to find a good chippy, so we could make chip butties for lunch. We ended up walking Ng back and forth and then driving on to the bit with a giant clock on a roundabout and trying there. Now I have the inside goss and know that the best chips can be found at half moon bay. We went a bit further up for another swim and then went home to get aldi shopping and play "hunt the smell" in the kitchen. I think the slightly dodgy fridge and some ricotta were, in combination, responsible for the smell.
Thanks for the fun day out I'll return soon to look at more art

TFTC. We had solved all of this series a week or so ago and were keen to go and find the hides. We did get a nudge in the right direction from the CO for this one. This was the day to collect. The weather had cooled a little from the weekend and it was a work day, so we were hoping that there would not be too many muggles out and about. We were right. This was a nice quick find.
This was our last find for the day after geocaching along the Bay area. We solved this puzzle months ago and finally had a chance to visit gz. Signed the log and geoson swapped some swags. Thanks gmj3191 for a great cache.
We enjoyed completing the research for the Archibald series of caches. We learnt some specifics to add to the overview that we already of this art exhibition and prize. Today we went to look for the cache. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. Thanks gmj3191 for the interesting series of puzzles and the caches.
The last of the Archibalds that I had left to do. I had figured out the mechanism, but botched the source data, causing me to miss out. A helpful push from the CO helped re-direct me accordingly.
Tough retrieval with all the muggles on their morning jogs and dog walks. Left a Halo action figure to protect the cage log!
Thank you again for exposing me to the Archibald award and portrait series.

This weekend has seen us finding a lot of caches up on Mt Buller from this CO. Wanted to grab this one on the way back to increase our cache types for a day count.

We solved the puzzle of this one a couple of weeks ago. We'd got close previously but hadn't put two and two together until a pointer from the CO in the right direction. Geo-son grabbed this one pretty quickly and emerged with quite a few scratches. The things we do in the search for a GC. TFTC.

This mystery was solved by Miss A some time ago, but we saved it for tonight to find, and knock off a square on our soon to be completed P366. I am really loving these puzzles and am much looking forward to the 2016 instalment. We had lots of fun tonight, with a swim at Dendy Beach, then drove to this one for a musical jam at sunset. Love it here. Retrieving the cache gave me a few scratches, but needs must and the log soon included our name. TFTM
I've had this one solved for quite a while, so now looking at it I have no idea how I did it. Today was the day for cleaning up solved puzzles, so off we went to grab it. A quick find ensued at GZ as no one was around. Thanks for the puzzle, and for the hide. Only one more in the series to get.
# 907 Got around to solving this one almost 2 months ago. Geo-son is normally the puzzle solver but he had tried and given up on this one some time ago and was quite surprised when I told him I had solved it! It was about a month later with a vacant P366 day coming up I suggested we complete this cache. We parked in a nearby side street and made our way to GZ under the cover of darkness. I was initially concerned there may be issues with works going on in the area but they were about 40m away. Collected compass rose geocoin, and signed log. Apologies for logging this one sooner. TFTC gmj3191 (especially for creating a puzzle that I solved before geo-son.)
Tricky puzzle gmj - definitely needed your hint.
Reasonably quick find tonight, despite my failing night vision. Glad I brought my GeoDaughter !
Geo coin had been cnecked out by earlier cacher (1-10-15) Log book still in cliplock bag, but a tad damp. Decent size cache. TFTC

One of relatively few solved mystery caches I've got around to seeking out. And what a cosy position for a cache! Never been here before. I seem to recall solving the puzzle via fuzzy intuition more than anything particularly methodical, so wouldn't have been sufficiently confident to make the trip without the little green smiley. Thanks for this gmj3191! Deposited a coin [Micro Compass Rose Geocoin].

I was out and about this afternoon finding a few mystery/puzzle caches as I was starting to get a bit behind in my attempt to qualify for the [ Mystery Cache Monthly Challenge (GC5MTHY)](http://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC5MTHY_mystery-cache-monthly-challenge?guid=d6d1b5a5-f77c-4e7f-9e08-3126adab0029) by finding 31 mystery/puzzle caches this month. This was #23 of the 31 mystery/puzzle caches that I needed for the month.
I definitely wouldn't have been able to solve this puzzle without the hint. Thanks to the hint I eventually found some numbers but it still took me several manipulations of those numbers to get a tick from the geochecker. At this time in the afternoon it was easy to get a parking spot in a street across the road from my calculated GZ. Only a couple of muggles around, although one did insist on chatting to me for a few minutes. Anyway, after a very pleasant short walk I arrived at a likely spot where I quickly found the cache. I signed the log at 4:25 pm and then headed off to look for another of the CO's puzzle caches. TNLN.
Thanks gmj3191 for the tricky puzzle and the well-hidden cache in a very picturesque location. I've been learning a lot from this great series about all our talented Aussie artists. [^]

We were out this way micaparamedic as we had few solved mysteries around here and we need them for the Monthly Mystery challenge.
we had obviously heard of the Archibald prize but until now we did not know much else.
This was an interesting cache page that has opened our eyes to hoe the prize came about and also his interesting life, but unfortunately we are still not keen on that type of painting.
Again we needed a big push to solve this one and it has taken even linger to get to this area to locate it.
Today has turned into a real gmj3191 day and has been great.

Found this one tonight after work. I had tried the other day but my phone ran out of battery that day. This cache was my target for tonight as well as increasing my caches found at night. This was an easy find after parking nearby. I increased the terrain rating on this one by choice (or stupidity!) The cache was hidden but not camouflaged. Signed log today.
Thanks for the cache gmj3191.

Found on my way home from my nearby school. Without some assistance from the C/O, I would have never worked out the puzzle. This is my first puzzle cache so I'm glad it was so close in such a beautiful location. Took a pathtag and SL. TFTC gmj3191!
We had a few Archibald puzzles solved, so BettyBoo3747 and I did a bit of a caching run around Ricketts Point, grabbing the odd caches as we went though the area.
I guess this was the original, but I have to say I prefer the later puzzles as they required you to look at all the entrants for the prize.
I have been to a few exhibitions of the prize, but none recently.
A nice spot for GZ, and some good view around the corner where we sat to write the log.
Thanks, Robmc.

# 7431. Robmc and I had intended to go snorkelling with guinea pigs down Ricketts Point way today but awoke to some light rain and a grey windy day so converted it into a caching run down along the Bay.
Now to our last Archibald find for the day. Another interesting little puzzle and a great portrait. We have enjoyed all these Archibald puzzles so now all we have to do is wait for this years judging and the new brain teaser.
Left one of my new Phryne - Mirror pathtags here.
Thanks gmj3191

Found with a prod in the right direction from the ℅. Had got 50% of the way there, burn couldn't work out the first part of the coords. Turns out I'd overlooked a piece of information and it was easier than expected. The cache itself was easy to find and in good condition. Thanks!
Find #123. Found with Geo-Dad SirJ-Oz
I like the caching, not so much the logging, so SirJ-Oz is generically logging my finds for me.

Find #1618. Found @ 17:35.
Today's plan was to attend a couple of school fetes (the kids' school, and that of my nephew) then find a puzzle cache (in order to qualify for a challenge cache). We decided to combine some caching near the beach with an early fish and chip dinner.
I'd already found my required puzzle and an opportunistic trad with skirrel, The Good Lady Wife and youngest geocachelette, but had this one as a backup plan. Since I was in the area anyway, and the kids wanted to play on the beach for a while, I went for a little stroll to collect.
I'd solved this so long ago that I don't even remember when it was. Every so often, it would pop up on the map to remind me, but I was never quite in the right area. Today I was in the right spot. At GZ I had to be circumspect with all the muggle traffic, but managed to find a window to make grab, and one to replace.
After wandering back to the car, we bought fish and chips from a great little place in Mordialloc (Tommy Ruff), then returned to the beach to eat. Just as we set up the picnic rug and laid out all the goodies, the heavens opened. We scurried back to the car and resumed the picnic in the car at the beach - with the windows completely fogged over (because of the hot food).
Oh well, best laid plans of mice, men, cachers and picnic goers... I view it as a double tragedy because I "happened" to choose a slice of beach that had two more close by caches on my unfound list. Another time I guess.
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.
Thanks for the cache gmj3191.

Woohoo at last we can log this one after some help from the CO (feel a bit guilty about claiming a find). Really need to do some work on these puzzle caches but we enjoy trying to do them. TNLN TFTC
Find #266
Had tried and failed on this one a few times. Got a prod in the right direction from SirJ-Oz at a recent puzzle solving workshop and I had some new avenues of investigation. It turns out I had been pretty close all along but a new variation on an old idea got me the green light. Heading back from an errand further down the bay this weekend I was able to pick this one up. No problems with the find. TNLNSL. Thanks for the puzzle and the cache gmj3191.

Planning on a ride down to the beach today, I looked at this one this morning before I left. Surprisingly solved it very quickly and had the green tick on my second attempt. A few walkers at GZ made my search a little tricky, but a little patience soon had me with the cache in hand. I tucked it away and moved toward a seat, signed, and then quietly returned.
Thanks for the cache, gmj3191.

Spot on coordinates for this cache! Quiet1_au had been organised enough to bring the updated coordinates, and with GJMMelb and me tagging along. TFTC and the puzzle!
I'd tried unsuccessfully to solve this one some time ago and put it aside to work on easier puzzles. Returning to it again I discovered some extra hints and with a further clue from the CO finally cracked it (I had been on the right track, just didn't try some variations). Today on my attempt to reach 2000 GC cache finds with lochb and G' of GJMMelb we stopped to grab it - an easy find as the coordinates were spot on and the cold wind was keeping pesky muggles away. Out and about today with Dunko no real plans other than to have fun caching really enjoyed the time exploring the locations along the way. Many thanks to gmj3191 for the effort in placing the cache

Another great find on an enjoyable caching adventure with BorisB&Natasha. We had the the puzzle solved for this one a while ago and decided today would be the day we went in for the search. After a bit of a search at GZ we soon found the well hidden cache. I was part of the catering team for last years Archibald prize so it seemed fitting to finally tick this one off.
Thanks gmj3191 for the cache.

Knowing that Nut bear and I would be in the area today I set about solving a couple of mystery caches in preparation for the day. It would appear from previous logs that it had not been such an easy one to solve. Fortunately for me I'd looked at the right time. With absolute spot on coords for us today the cache was quickly found in only the second place I looked.
Thanks gmj3191 I really enjoyed all aspects of this one. The history behind it, the puzzle and the finding of the cache.

Ah it's about time I found another gmj cache. Mornings are dark now so early morning cache bike rides have stopped. I tried solving this puzzle some time ago but kept failing to get the right co-ords even though they looked plausible on Google Maps. Whilst I was sorting through a pile of paper that had accumulated on the desk, I came across this one again with all the required info staring at me. For some reason using the same logic as my previous attempts the light came up green this time. Must have been a typo previously.
This morning Nature Dragon and I had a couple of hours spare to explore some caches on the outskirts of Bayside. I forgot to take the final co-ords and clues with me but had some idea where it was suppose to be. We searched and searched but found nothing which meant my memory wasn't quite so accurate. Giving up we started heading back to the car park. One more look into another spot on the way finally produced the sort after reward. Thanks for the cache G.

We found this cache today at 5:55pm as number 25 of 26 on our Right Around Southland afternoon. Knowing that we were running out of time before "HA" was going to call us to pick her up from Southland, we skipped a heap of others and made a beeline for this cache as we had solved it earlier in the day. Just in time as she called just as "A" made the find. Thanks from D, H & A B-A.
I had actually tried the correct way to solve this one ages ago but didn't take it far enough. After a bit of a push it fell into place, only to find that the CO had upped the hints anyway!
At gz today the cache was a quick find with the hints, and despite the nearby mowing tractor.
