What a view ! Out on my Bike today to do Parramatta Sackville Lower Portland Greens Rd Chaseling Rd South then to Wisemans. I knew there would be a cache somewhere here. GPS is spot on. 32 out today. Found. In good condition. No pen. I will send pic to COTFTC
We're camping at Wisemans Ferry this week and today I went on a caching excursion to Ebenezer and back via wherever.
This was my first find of the day and it took a little while for my phone's GPS to point me where I had to be. Nice hide though ... I liked it.
Thanks for the hide SearchnLog.

Found at 11:41 AM GAFF1.
Second day of our Wisemans Ferry visit and we decided to explore the north side of the river after the rain finally eased up.
A lovely drive along the Bicentenary Road - which suddenly changed to a slick mud surface, but we loved the adventure.
Dived straight into the bush and after a bit of "wonder if it is on the other side of this thing" there was the nice little camo with a film canister that wouldn't co-operate to come out
Thanks SearchnLog.

A couple of helpful hints made this one a quick find. As said expand your search from the GZ a bit. TFTC.
After some morning paddling with POE and Crash 2079 we parted ways before and agreed to meet later for another paddle. So in between time some more caching was done.
After reading some other logs we expanded the search and found something that was a little bit different to what we thought the hint meant.
We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC

Having to come up the coast today on a solo work venture to collect some laboratory equipment. I decided to make a detour to these caches on the way back. Surprising the number of people taking their daily excise on the track today. We all practiced the appropriate social distancing rules.
Thanks SearchnLog for creation of this cache All is good at the cache.

On my way home after the GCNSW event I made a slight detour to this one. I missed the track initially, and after a little bush bashing I was there. Widened my search as I didn't think it could be so close to the road then found the little fella hiding by a rock.
It was home to hundreds of large ants with big bottoms, so once they scattered I could get to the log. TFTC

Passing through and made the find which keeps the streak alive. Ha ha which makes it even better because I was in my way to a clothing optional festival. Tftc tnln interesting container.
Finally found after a widening search - I think about 15 m from posted coordinates. Cute cache container and having made the find the hint made sense...sort of. TFTC
Yes!! Thanks for the giggles! We went on a bit of a bush bash from the intersection. But as it turns out we really didn’t need too!!
Stood on top of the thing for ages trying to interpret the hint!! Love the Cache container definitely not what I was expecting TFTC
What a fantastic cache. Read the hint, gave me a little giggle as I found the cache! Worth a favourite point! SL TFTC!! ️
Tftc. Coords had us close to the track, but Mrs Jaybeem ventured in further, taking into account the terrain rating and soon spotted the cache.
I parked in a convenient spot, but should perhaps have gone on a few more metres where I would have spotted a neat track leading towards GZ. Ah well, that's how it usually goes: one finds a better track on the way out than on the way in.
I scrambled up the ridge and made my way through some bush, before coming upon the easier track. Then I hopped around several times, following the needle on the compass, but not spotting anything. All the time I was trying to figure out what the clue could possibly mean. Being new to Australia, I was quickly informed by locals about the difference between "indigenous" and "native". Other English-speaking countries don't seem to differentiate in the same way.
Eventually, I had a look in the right place and had to laugh about the camo. Very funny! A bit of prodding and jiggling released the container with the log sheet. If I remember correctly, the log sheet was full and I had to find a spot out of sequence where I could add my name. There is plenty of space to add a new sheet, if the next cacher could take a bit of paper along.

Today we opted to go caching in a new area on the Hawkesbury River with some friends. A number of good finds in an area we have not explored previously.

We approached GZ for this cache, and nothing seemed obvious or stuck out that resembled a cache container. Reading the logs indicated that the cache was about 3-5 metres from the nominated coordinates.
We expanded our search radius and a few minutes later, one of us found the cache. Not sure how this resembles the clue though.
I took some updated coords: S33 24.794 E150 56.736

Cache: 4 of 10

Out in the afternoon for some caching goodness before tonight's A League game (when Sydney FC put the cleaners through Perth 6-0).
Managed to grab seven out of eight attempts, but unfortunately ran out of time to grab the final *W2W* cache. I'm very familiar with the ships of the First Fleet as the area I live has a number of streets named after them.
A pleasant dirt road to follow north of the Nepean - not too much traffic going the other way, and the road itself was well maintained.
Before getting to them I found another traditional and a multi, for which I'd had GZ for a while.
Good day!

Today I set out to cache up to Wiseman's Ferry and around to Ebenezer to grab a good two dozen caches. After filling many bottles of water as I knew it was going to heat right up I was off!
I started looking around the published coordinates , but after not finding it I spead out until finding something I mistook for a GCA movable cache. (It even had a gca card inside!) I signed the log but left it there.
I returned to my car, ready to log a dnf and opened my gca app to find the name of the cache, but nothing was nearby. ut when I read the logs of this cache I soon realised it was the right one.
Thanks for the cache.

After a trip to St Albans, decided to head to Sackville via this series. Being muggled out at the first cache and then a DNF next, this was my first find in the series. And even this one required a quick read of some recent logs as it was away from where the iPhone was pointing me. Took nearly as long to extract log from container Interestingly after I signed log and replaced, the iPhone said I was within 2m. Go figure.

Like other searchers, we found the coords a bit out. We read previous logs and broadened the search, and when we found it, our coords were
S 33 24.793 and E 150 56.738, which are very very close to those mentioned by Toriaz in 2014. Otherwise all good!

Day 3 of a school holiday trip to Wisemans Ferry in our brand new geomobile, spending a couple of nights at the Del Rio Riverside Resort, and collecting some caches along the way as we explore this historic area.
Today we were on our way back home, going via Lower Portland and taking the Sackville Ferry route back to Maroota and the Old Northern Road, then down through Galston Gorge. This was the 2nd of 17 finds for the day, 17th find of the trip.
Pulled off into the side road and then walked up the 4WD track to reach GZ. Checked in a few spots before locating the “almost” indigenous cache container, which gave us a chuckle when we saw it. TNLNSL, then replaced as found. TFTC SearchnLog.

Tftc, returned with the updated coordinates from a previous log and Azzepious in tow. Found the cache closer to the new coordinates but still a bit away. Finally knocked off this dnf!
Walked to GZ and found nothing so then widen the search area and soon found the cache container. Did not understand the hint until the cache container was found. The log was signed and the cache container was replaced as found. Thank you SearchnLog for placing this cache.
We also found that the co-ords were not very accurate for this cache. Found nothing at GZ, so did a wander and went wider with the search until an individual was spotted taking shelter from the weather.
We were greeted and the cache container was released for us to complete the duties. This container gave us a good laugh, especially in relation to the hint. Our thanks go to SearchnLog for another cache in the series.

#1084 armed with the information that this was out by a bit & other coords stopped to look for this one. Still raining a fair bit but the umbrella kept part of me dry on the walk to the cache soon tracked down the cache the log was very dry pity I wasn't though.
Signed the log and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache SearchnLog

Off to the Central Coast today to do the country run and pick a few up on the way. Found this one at our second attempt on the way back in the evening, after going back through the old logs to glean some clues. Even after using some more accurate co-ords we were still 4-5 meters from the cache. Searching a little wider it was soon found, have seen 2-3 like this in our travels. Gets a fav point from us. TFTC
Didn't have a very good look for this today. Hadn't pre-read logs and didn't know it was somewhat away from the posted GZ. I spent a bit of time looking but with small kids getting impatient in the nearby car, I pulled the pin. Will be back one day I guess.
I headed back up to Ebenzer to try and finish TeamMerlins wonderful series and grab a few others while I could. I went via Wisemans Ferry again to grab a few around there I missed last time.
Still no luck finding this one. I saw that someone had posted a photo hint but I had no reception to download it. Next time!

Out with JJCC for an afternoon cache run in order to find our daily cache to keep our streak going.
Being a bit time poor this afternoon we headed for another close cache within our 15km radius. Parking on Chaseling Road we walked up towards GZ and started searching. After about ten minutes of not finding anything we double checked the logs and noted an earlier 2014 log which mentioned an alternative set of numbers. Plugging these into the GPSr pointed 16 metres away and when we were about 4 metres from those coordinates we came across one of the locals from an indigenous clan. From this point on everything pointed towards the cache...so with the cache safely in hand, we both signed the log before replacing as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition.

Missed another one!! Searched around the original co-it's, nothing. Also my bro found some other co-ords, no luck either!
Stopped today and search for a while but came up empty handed. Left for another day
We picked up a couple of potato scallops and some calimari rings and headed off for a Sunday drive. We love that geocaching takes us to interesting places we wouldn't otherwise visit. The run along the river picking up caches in this area made for a great circuit trip today.
I think that's the first indigenous one of its type we've seen.

It was beautiful weather so i took a little walk around Wisemans Ferry looking for some caches. It is a great area and I have taken the opportunity to go along the conivct great which was very informative and interessting to look at.
After, I went to the Del Rio Riverside Resort and took the Ferry across to have one of their yummy schnitzels on the waterfront.

Day of caching at wisemans ferry and surrounding..
We decided to head home via the W2W power trail, while we still had some daylight left.
On our way to GZ we were held up by a couple of Wombats crossing the road.
Very cute and great. To see wildlife around.
Found this one pretty quickly with Spy79. snoopy1976 & Dave8163

Found it. It took us a while to find it. I am not too sure why the hint is indigenous??
After paddling the Kayak up Macdonald creek almost to St Albans today, enjoyed a fast and slippy drive up here for a few caches.
Walking around here searching I felt something hit my ankle, I froze, looked down and shrugged it off....but upon returning in my search pattern looked under a ledge to see a short grey snake!
Did he strike at me ? I think so.
Lucky I'm tall and not short, might of killed a dwarf or child, who knows!

#2991- I like others before me were having difficulty turning up anything and there were a limited number of logs on the GPS. When I tried the i-phone to access more logs and the co-ords that had been mentioned, it had no reception. Suddenly, I got some reception and managed to access them. Then the cache was straightforward. Cute, but indigenous?
A quick and easy find, did not need the adjusted co-ords, a quick widen and had him in a headlock and knuckle-deep retrieving the cache.
Thanks for the updated cords Toriaz. This one had me scratching my head for while.
Was in the Webb's Creek area for a day outing and I departed for an hour to nab a few caches...this is as far as I came along the Bicentennial Rd, and as stated was a simple find. Thanks for bringing me up here - I would have never ventured to these parts if not for the geocaching

As it was Mrs C's birthday we decided a day caching in the Sydney area would be a grand way to spend it on this gloriously sunny Winter's. We enjoyed this series, it took us to places we may not have ever visited if it weren't for caching. We really liked that we knew that there would be safe spots to pull up right next to or near GZ (an important feature some hiders forget on country roads).
Another spot where the GPS jumped all over the place and we had to use suggested coords in the logs. Even then, they were about 4 or so metres out but we spotted something very obvious and sure enough it was the cheeky little cache!

I used Toriaz's coords for a reasonably quick find. An interesting indigenous object.........
After reading the logs it was a quick find. Haha good hide! Bit of laugh for the end of the day! Walk up the trail to the top as the view is breathtaking!
Yay this is my 2nd attempted, Everlasting found it before us thanks Searchnlog for the beautiful cache.
Great day out for caching - enjoyed the travelling with geofamily. Thanks for the caches around here.
I DNFed this cache a long time ago. The coordinates were a bit out and it seems I misinterpreted the hint, which meant my mode of searching assumed something much harder. Today, we were in the area for a kayak, and had reason to pass close, so I was able to clear up a long standing DNF. Thanks (finally)

Temp of 42 deg, the coordinates are out, and the hint is one of those ones that you understand when you see the cache but is useless at helping you actually find the cache. I admit I was a bit grumpy at this one, and didn't un-grump until I'd drunk another bottle of water to recover from the length of time I was out in the heat searching for this one.
Eventually I found it, after reading previous logs & increasing my search radius.
I've added my coordinates to the log, they might help a future searcher.

Sorry that this is a generic log, but I'm catching up on a year's worth of logs. I'm sure I really enjoyed this cache. Thank you for placing it.
We too found this one around 10 metres down the slope from GZ and on the other side of the track.
Then the hint made sense. Useless before the find!?!

We think the clue was not very useful, and also a bit off the mark. The coordinates were about 10 meters off. A joint find together with zargfinders.
Took too long to find. Coordinates were a good 10m out. Sorry but didn't really appreciate the clue, and it wasn't helpful anyway. Thanks SearchnLog - a nice bit of bush.

Out on a caching run with Geotooter today. Thought we'd do the run up to Wiseman's Ferry and pick up this series. Walked up to GZ and nothing jumped out at us. The hint didn't seem to make sense so kept widening our search and suddenly, there it was. Now the hint made perfect sense and we certainly had a giggle! By our estimation, the cache was found around 10m from where our GPSr said GZ was.
