I checked on this cache this morning and it has indeed gone, but the hint is still there. GZ was under at least 1m of water - fast flowing by the look of it. I wonder how far it went - it should have floated. Out to sea perhaps and washed up on a beach? Maybe a bonus find for someone sometime.
Rather than replacing the cache, with the risk of losing it again, I've decided to archive it. For those wanting to complete the series and needing the clue it is: D=0

Didn't find today. Found what I believe is the hint. It was lying on the ground within an area that would have been completely washed out in the recent flooding. (Based on the "high tide" markings)
Sixteen hours, 100 caches, mission from Rolleston to North Canterbury and back. #5 of 100. Nice easy one here. TFTC.
Running a bit behind in my logging. Trying to catch up before Mega but running out of time before we leave. Log still to come. TFTC
First find pof or caching morning. First find for guest cacher Tom. Swapped highlighter for mughty bean. TFTC!
Drove down to this one but thought we were going to have to give it a miss as there were two fishermen along the river side who thought we looked rather suspicious. Did a U-turn and managed to park right along side GZ. As Z-NZ figured out the best way to get the cache, I took off to distract the fisherman closest to us. Z and I had been trying to figure out what they were trying to catch, turned out out guess of whitebait was right. I learnt a great deal about whitebait today, even though I don't eat the stuff (... can't stand the EYES looking at me )

I'm getting a good range of walking around today. Found cache and rehid as muggles approached. Realized id forgotten to get the number so hung around looking dodgy. Tftc
The hardest part was finding the right access as there was a labyrinth of roads around GZ. I suggested to the navigator (who normally does the job well but having a crap day today) that we take the right road, but he said otherwise. We ended up doing a very circuitous route before the cache became a drive by.
Cache was in the first place StreetWalker searched but he didn't spot it, took a woman's look to find. TFTC.

#5341. We've driven down Lineside Rd many, many times, but never explored this area. A real patchwork of tracks. Cache wasn't too hard to find once we got to GZ. TFTC.
Although the hiding place was obvious, the cache wasn’t and we missed it initially, but soon returned to find it. TFTC
Exploring kaiapoi on Easter Sunday and finding lots of new areas we didn't know existed. Tftc
Found with Tramper Ted during a drive through the Canterbury countryside after an orienteering event today.
Mrs TT spotted it first.

Found it together with Team Autoværn on our New Zealand tour back in 2013.

Had a spare hour up my sleeve and coming from a DNF I wanted to grab a blue ? I had solved the other day. I hadn't collected all of these yet and thought I'd pop in for a visit. Love stopbanks. It is cool you have access to these ones. I have never been here before. GZ was all mine and the cache was quick to hand. Signed the log and collected the vital bit of info. Thanks for the cache and tour.

Looks like it's been a while between visitors. A quick stop, waited a while for a train and looked for the fishies in the river but none of either so off we went. Cheers
NZ12. After lunch by the coast, it was time to head north. It was more about finding good exits to check out. There were a few people fishing along here, but up by the bridge I was alone and grabbed the cache quickly. Thanks.

Chocochunk and I decided we wanted a bike ride and get some caches. We remembered seeing the K20 Tour many months ago. We had already done #9 and #10 but redid those two numbers today to get the letters and numbers to complete the puzzle.
Managed to find 46 caches on a mornings adventure with Mrs G. Decided to come out again in the evening to try and make it 50 for the day. Grandparents visiting meant we could both head out and have a bit of a nighttime fun. Used to live in Kaiapoi, and nearby t'boot...used to bike and run around here a lot. Parked nearbyish & walked in. Fun at night! Quickly cornered the cache after first having a quick check to reassure ourselves that there were no bogans parked up! ha ha. Thanks. 49/53
Tricky finding the way in on 4 wheels probably would be easier on 2. Soon located the cache. Thanks.

#1,156: KO'd #1!
GeoYoungling #3 and I came up here today to make some finds that have been on my list for a while. I've been solving several LGM hides lately, and wanted to start clearing the backlog. I've also been wanting to do this series for some time, and today turned out to be the day. I wanted to do it by bicycle, but just couldn't find the right day for it, so we did it by car.
Took an interesting turnoff from the main road to get to this one, but it was very direct. Had a nice chat with a muggle family out walking up on the bridge. GY#3 made the find (happy as ever!), and we collected the info, and the Sparky TB. Will help move it along.

The first find for our K2O marathon. We managed to locate all ten caches starting with this one. Also dropped of sparky travel bug.
Once we took the right road we found it quickly. Very dark here tonight. TFTC.
A hot walk from Murphy Park this afternoon. Found fairly quickly after recalling the clue. Thanks.
No 2 of my cache finds in the time available today. Looking forward to finding all in the series. Was almost muggled at this one but safely back in car when some local hoon muggles went past and gave me some weird looks. Kiwicampnut.

I hadn't really considered what this tour included when I set off and unfortunately didn't read the instructions until I go to #2 which meant that I didn't pick up a number here. Never mind, it was a pleasant drive out. TFTC ds8300
Edit: Corrected date

Time to do a tour of the outskirts of Kaiapoi.
I am doing these in numerical order.
Cheers for the cache.

heading out to Rangiora today, so took a quick, short detour to find this cache. TFTC
A fine day; set out late in the afternoon to give these a go. Nobody around, quick find. TFTC.
Decided we better not try to drive to GZ - that bridge is lower than our rented campervan! Walked in from Lineside road and made a quick find while a nearby fisherman was busy watching the water. Thanks.

Some how got lost coming here from K2O Tour #2. By the time I got back to a point where I thought I might be able to get to it (looking at a map since I got home I now think I would have just got lost again) I had used up too much time and had to keep moving if I wasn't going to end up late home. The boss (20 months old) is getting over a cold and mummy is not allowed out too long by herself.
Quick pick-up. Lots of whitebaiters out today - all focussed on trying to will the little blighters to their side of the river and into their net!!! TNLN. TFTC.
A very popular whitebaiting spot today. The rubbish appears to have been cleared away too. TFTC
Whitebaiters on either side of Bridge 21, both watching to see if we are going to put a net in the river . Sat down to eat something, with the car for cover. TFTC, TNLN.
3739. Planned our way in and drove up to the cache - it might be Number one in the tour but it was nearly at the end of our tour before we arrived at this one.
Thanks

Muggles aplenty with camper vans not far away and people on motorbikes and walking dogs. Became a train spotter. None trains seen but got the cache. Surprised at location but cool
Busy place with plenty of whitebaiting and kids fishing, being so focused on the their fishing, I think I managed to avoid their attention. TFTC
Another satisfying find with several whitebaiters nearby. Headed home from here knowing #10 & the Gums would be busy with schools just out. TF Another Cache
The ballast on the bridge was interesting. Would be a very nice spot if not used as a rubbish dump.

A couple of people on the walkway but cache easily retrieved. Looks like the beginning of a great series!
Although the Polar Blast had arrived I just had to go caching today in order to cross another day off on my way to fulfill the 366 Day Caching Challenge. So clad in ski clothing and goggles I went out into the snow showers to trek today's 4.8km return journey. The lack of footprints and only a few car tracks made it obvious that most people were keeping warm indoors. 40 minutes after leaving home I was signing the log during a hail shower, thankful that this day's objective had been achieved. This was a truelly memorial cache find.

Got a feeling if we dont loose the numbers we will enjoy the series ! All the very best LGM

Parking was handy and a pleasant walk to the cache. A fisherman was keeping his eye on us. TFTC
TFTC. An interesting place to get to and a nice clue to avoid searching in unnecessary locations. It is apparent that others with little concern for the environment have been here.
The hardest part was getting off the main road.Obviously a popular spot with the Kaiapoi glitterati for parties. Looking forward to the series.
A quick find just on Dark, very quiet, with only a Jogger passing by.Shame about all the Rubbish scattered around.TFTC
First not to find. As I approached the cache area, I discovered a group of teenagers gathered around a bonfire, right near the coordinates. They didnt notice me since they had been staring into the fire. After poking about in the dark, I realized that I would have to make my presence known to get to the cache which I wasnt keen to do and I wouldnt be able to get the cache at that point anyway since I would be exposing it to muggles. So, muggled out at 10PM.
FTF Found the smoking remains of the fire, but could not see anyone about so went for the cache. As I was signing, a goods train rumbled on by. Thanks for the hide.
