Launched with 4 others from Dunethin boat ramp for Davidwazzas CITO. I hadn't read the fine print on this one about the distance so was quite surprised it ended up being a 23+km journey one way. I'd missed the announcement about the car shuffle at the end too so that was much appreciated as I doubt I would have been able to paddle back by the end of it.It was a good day out and we also did some maintenance on a few caches that needed help.TFTC
We were staying nearby for the long weekend and a CITO event on the Maroochy River was perfectly timed for us as we had been meaning to go for a caching paddle here for some time. We met the CO at Stoney Wharf to organise a car swap before making our way to Dunethin Rock to launch. With one more joining us there, we made our way down the river, stopping to find all the caches along the way, and performing maintenance where required. The day promised to be a hot one but there was a nice cooling breeze on the river and the paddle was more pleasant than I was expecting. As we continued, we met up with a couple more cachers, adding to searchers at each stop. Despite early concerns about temperature and tide times, it was a most enjoyable paddle. Thanks jasenjanine
TFTC smile 17478 out and about on a lovely day having a great time finding a few caches on our way to Cito Event with CO Davidwazza Echocage1 Charmad Desister Thank you jasenjanine for placing this cache for our enjoyment
An early start this morning with a drive to the north coast for a river caching day. The plan was to put in at lake Dunethin road boat ramp and paddle all the way back to stoney wharf road boat ramp as the take out point. Along the way we were to collect a few caches and meet a few others at a CITO event. It was a long and hard paddle however, after the event it was great that the tide got to take us out to stoney. A big morning of paddles and caching. With the recent floods and high water flow through this area most of the caches needed some maintenance and/ or logs replaced. It was nice that davidwazza was prepared with tools and items to fulfil the tasks. We spotted the caches and did the checks to make sure all caches were good to go again. With log signed and cache replaced we moved onto the next one.
Regarding our kayak paddle, [chamad](https://coord.info/PRPP06G), [DisSister](https://coord.info/PR1ET7R), [echocage1](https://coord.info/PRDH6CJ), [grannysmith1947](https://coord.info/PR8VQX7) and I set out at 08:45 hr departing from Dunethin Boat Ramp. We paddled a total distance of approximately 23 km (21.5 km before my Apple watch went flat) with a moving time of 4:20 hr and a total duration of 4:45 hr, as per my [Strava record](https://www.strava.com/activities/10642548389). We followed the meandering river and passed by Yandina Creek, Coolum Creek and Coolum Drain, and then as high tide passed, we had the current with us whilst paddling to the Stoney Wharf Road launch location. Mosquitoes were ravenous in the creek/drain mouths, and a thick application of Bushman's did the trick. It was a hot day (forecasted to be 34C) and I depleted four bottles of water, but the occasional river breeze and shade beneath the trees made it an enjoyable and tolerable day.Sadly, this bridge structure is no more! Unfortunately, the Sugar Cane Ghost has moved on from this location, and it quickly became apparent to the group that this geocache in the hinted post was removed with everything else. We did have a search around the bridge side for a cache just in case, but all we found was fishing wire and a hook. To allow this cache to live on, we left a replacement Eclipse mint cache container taped to the wire and tethered. The logbook is in a protective bag to ensure it doesn't get wet. Thanks [jasenjanine](https://coord.info/PR3M82N) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.----------Today, the plan was to kayak the Maroochy River, where the [Maroochy River CITO](https://coord.info/GCAHBZ8) event had been organised to clean up the river. It was an early start getting to Bli Bli and grabbing a few geocaches, and after organising the kayak and vehicle shuffle, we paddled between Dunethin Boat Ramp and Stoney Wharf. Following that paddle, I joined [chamad](https://coord.info/PRPP06G) on a "bonus" paddle to Goat Island / Channel Island in Maroochydore to sap my remaining energy for the day.
Interesting and unusual location .lots of history .found whilst visiting from the UK. TFTC

I remember many moons ago, whilst I was a newer cacher, I had a look for this cache whilst night fishing with dad, his mate and some mates of my own. I remember dad's mate had some experience with caching, but unfortunately we didn't find it. Today however, I returned to right that wrong and secure the find. Once I had left my not so waterproof valuables on the end of the bridge, I began my systematic search, looking in all the sneakier holes around the bridge. After returning to the end of the bridge and reading the hint, I gave it another go and found it in quite an obvious spot! Thanks for bringing me out here jasenjanine!
jasenjanine I found your cache Return of the Sugar Cane Ghost on 19/7/2022, 3:55 pm. This is my find 3797 and find # 11 today. Found it after a brief search. Not many places you could put a cache. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Out in the tinnie with Karicka and Gur. We stopped here for a quick find after a short search. Thanks for the cache
A boat trip on the river.
Did a car shuffle to save time and maximise time spent caching.
The tinny was crewed by able seamen Gur and Beardman75
Cool bridge here
Thank you for hiding this geocache jasenjanine

Time for a late lunch. This was our last stop on our way back to Dunethin after a long haul downstream with Green Team 2 to tackle some Mystery Caches. What a relief to stretch our legs at last. We wondered how to approach this cache, by water or land. Given the terrain rating we went on foot after scrambling up a steep bank nearby. Chris and Vi (GT2) had done this one eight years ago so their less than subtle hints soon had us at GZ. And what a cunning little hide it is.
All was in good condition, unlike some earlier caches today. Thanks for the cache jasenjanine.

As we passed the bridge my fellow talkers had both collected this cache previously so I was left to sign this log myself.
DNF avenged. We visited here a few years back but didn't find the cache then. After paddling further down the river, I popped in here afterward while passing through the area.
I was quite surprised to see some rather large DO NOT ENTER signs and a fence across the entrance. Should we be finding a geocache on a structure that has these signs across it? It seems there have been a few finds lately and there's a well worn path around the fence with no-one else around today so I made a quick grab before moving along.

Thanks jasenjanine for giving us a reason to visit.

Wonderful day with georode and Wallaby Wanderers. We aimed to finish the Maru-kutchi trail. This cache was nearby so up went georode while Wallaby Wanderers tried to take a photo of a snake in the hole.
Thanks for the cache and taking us here jasenjanine. Enjoyed the hunt.

After paddling up Coolum Creek, Brislions and I made our way to this cache. It was located after a bit of a search as I had somehow missed it when I searched that spot :O With our names added to the log, we were soon on our way again. TFTC
Selva Girls and I decided more kayaking cache a must being so hot. And the tide was right to. The plan for me was to correct caches for 3 challenge caches.
We started down in Sippy Downs for me to collect 2 in a clear area. Then onto Coolum Creek and Maroochy River this our 5 visit to Maroochy River and we will have to come back for more.
Total finds for me were 14. So 3 mystery and 11 Traditional. Plus two log sign for challenge I don’t qualify yet. And 1 DNF.
We had a great day. As we got to Maroochy River we bump into more geocacher who already been paddling on the Maroochy before as.

Very pleased to turn our frown upside down and log a smiley for this cache. Received an email earlier in the week from DickBev to say container had been replaced, and as I'd been wanting to come and check out the work that's been carried out on the bridge recently, it seemed like a perfect opportunity to come and try again. Thank you for maintaining this cache Dick. As I've said before, I love this bridge and the history here. Sad to see the gantry has been removed (even though it's heritage listed) but can understand it needed to happen for safety's sake. At least the bridge still stands.
Out for an afternoon drive and called in here to check this one out, unfortunately it was missing so have replaced with a slightly more camouflaged container but the hint and coords are still the same.
As it turned out, we were driving past River Rd a couple of days after our water visit, so stopped by for one last go. This time I was brave and walked out onto the bridge to where GZ and the hint said. Obviously I couldn't find it and the rain had started so I decided to give up the smiley on this one. TFTC coz I love this place.
Second visit, this time on watercraft. Had a notion in my head of where it was going to be (which turned out to be wrong). Was having a good old look until some young whipper snapper muggles came. They were walking out to the bridge lift to sit and enjoy the view so we left them to it. We’ll be back!
With an extra big hint from the CO, we went in search of this cache again - but to no avail. With their permission we have replaced it with the same container and in the same position as before - so its now waiting to be found again. Please don't drop it!!!
Logging a find on this one after approval from the CO - I would put an easy find but maybe thats pushing it a bit!! There was a couple of fishermen on the far side of the bridge with their crab pots but they didn't take any notice of 2 geriatrics lurking about. TFTC jasenjanine
THANKS Dick we just popped down the road and logged the cache. We appreciate you thinking of us. Cheers Janet
Not a DNF but a DNAttempt. My nerves wouldn’t allow me to venture out onto the bridge, and there was a muggle fishing anyway. Thanks for bringing us to this awesome piece of history.
I’m not having much luck with my caching today. This place was on our itinerary as my husband is a bit of an abandoned building explorer. The wind whistling while we were out on the tracks certainly sounded like a ghost train. Unfortunately although I attempted a few iterations of 8, I could not find this. Such a shame. Thanks all the same.
Back down from Townsville to spend xmas with my parents and looking to pick up some T5 caches while were here. I put out an SOS on the Sunshine Coast Geocaching Facebook page for a kayak and JACS Team promptly offered assistance. Not only that but they met us at Dunethin Lake with the kayak and picked us up at the end of the trail. Now that's hospitality. Thank you.
With the Mrs in the front and me in the back we made steady, if somewhat laboured progress along the trail. I did have the feeling we were 'pushing a shopping trolley with a wonky wheel' and the 8km was probably more like 10 as we zig zagged our way along. The Mrs even managed to have us in a spin every time I stopped paddling to check the GPS.
We started at 9am and finished the trail by 1pm with 'Otter' being our extraction point.
Most caches were found quickly after negotiating the hanging branches. I think the high tide may have actually hindered us on some to the extend that 2 were found submerged just below the surface (and obviously unsignable) but it meant we didn't have to leave the kayak all day, except for this one.
Managed to exit the kayak here without tipping the Mrs in but couldn't locate the cache after spending quite a while looking.
Thanks anyway.

What an amazing piece of history. Thanks for bringing us here. Nice sneaky hide!
Drove up from Canberra, for a much needed holiday staying with my parents in Caloundra ... Up here for a few weeks (Christmas, and most of January
Been finding at least one cache a day since I left home, went to Widgee for the NYE Geocaching weekend, and had heaps of fun up there finding lots of caches with a bunch of great people, now back to caching on my own (or sometimes with my muggle parents if we are out and about together)
We came camping for a few days, at a cane farm on the river bank (owned by some good friends of my parents) - too many bull sharks for swimming, but lots of paddle time in my kayak
Paddled up to grab a cache that was not far upstream from the farm, figured I may as well keep going and find another one or 2 ...
TFTC - Scrambled up to this one, from my kayak - lol
... A very interesting bridge ... which ended up being in quite a few of my photos while I was staying here - lol

This took some looking. Ardom took the top and I floated underneath. Eventually I caught a glimpse of the container and Ardom made the grab. However he got swarmed with ants as they had set up home in the cache container. I couldn’t see as I was busy rounding up his kayak as it floated away from the edge. The log was impenetrable with ants so we had to resort to a photo log (see Ardom’s). He was still brushing them off some time later.
SO MANY ANTS! I was still removing them from myself and my backpack when I got back to the car a hour or two later... The cache container must have made a nice home being quite sheltered and having no lid. I took photo proof of finding the container that can be supplied if requested. TFTC!
My muggle friend and I parked near here to launch our yaks for a nice paddle and thanks to the hint we were able to find the cache after a little search. Ants have been making a nest in this cache and the lid is missing but the log book is fine and dry. What a great place to put a cache. Thankyou for taking us to this spot that i would never have seen if not for your cache.
A brilliant morning out paddling with IolantheK, Brother Colin, and teamdfl as my guides, gurus and pirate buddies. There were lots of laughs and general crazy geocacher shenanigans from all involved as we made our way down the river, and after finding the newer caches together, the other group members assisted me in finding more caches I had yet to locate, as we made our way back to camp.
Some of these caches required me to merely reached up or lean over, while for others I clambered up branches, banks or bridges. I generally did fairly well at remaining at least half dry, even if my poise and finesse failed me... much like the night before after having consumed several delicious beverages... but that's another story altogether.
I had fun locating this geocache, and the others held their breath (and cameras) waiting to see if I would end up in the drink, hehe. All good, found and signed. Thanks for the cache

Found with stairman1 and a group of other cachers. We were attending the nearby event and decided to clean up some green boxes on our map. All good here. Thanks Jasenjanine
Found while attending the Five and Fifty event today. We camped over night and got a nice early start this morning. Quite a flotilla heading out. We enjoyed a great morning on the water chatting all the way past all the caches before grabbing them on the return home.
Thanks all for the great company.
Thanks jasenjanine for placing this for us to enjoy.

Found while out with a merry collection of cachers from the 5 & 50 event. Had a lovely morning paddling, chatting and grabbing the occasional cache! I had the task to clamber up and find this one which took a little longer than it should have, but all good in the end.
May have left my pen in the kayak, so you will know that the green smudge is a signature from me, GL, SM and the Herbz!
Thanks for an interesting cache jasenjanine!

Keepingupwith did the hard yards on this one getting wet feet and making the find while we encouraged him from below. TFTC.
Nice old bridge. Really interesting. We didn't know this was here. It's very popular for fishing on the weekend. So we left this one to do mis week. Great no one around, so we could have a good search. Found quite quickly. Tftc

Thursday. After a enjoyable morning's jetskiing on the Marrochy River to celebrate Mrs SP's birthday, we thought we might ourselves up a few caches. As it so happens, our run up the river took us under the drawbridge, and we gave ourselves knowing looks - we would be back after our fun. For some other fun!
So, we found this cache on second attempt (previously DNFd) and also a PAF. '8' was a good clue but there were so many options here but we found it in the end. We replaced the plastic bag - all snug and safe again now - the ants can't intrude. Log book in good order.
This was the 1st of 4 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***jasenjanine***, for showing us this place.

#4171 [15:43] i found this cache on return of my paddling trip. i parked a kayak and was lucky to log right before a fisherman came and settled down right at the cache location spot thanks, interesting place here!
This was the 4th find of the day out with 64 piratelady and roddy c and nadine1989. Im sure the C.O. will never forget me after the series of caches we did lol TFTC I tried to save a poor catfish here until I was told they were poisonus then I was like sorry buddy I cant save you .........
At the Dunethin Rock weekend, we (2 x RoddyC and Nadine1989) tick out a few caches to hunt down
Although we had planned to do this one by road, as we were passing by on canoe on our way back from the new Otter and Dingo caches further downstream, we thought OK, we can get at least one of our trio out of the canoe and onto dry land without too much fuss. As it was, both girls (RhoBoCacher and 64PirateLady) were on land partly to relay a pen to sign the log!!
Good hint had us at GZ in no time.
Log signed & replaced again. Found at 1.20pm on 6th August 2016. TFTC

Beautiful spot we've been meaning to come to for some time. Thanks for the discovery : )
Took a bit of hunting but got it in the end. There are lots of combinations of 8 to check through
A tricky hide with this one. Took a bit of extracting. We completed this cache while doing the canoe series.
Thanks
Thanks
I had previously attended this cache but as there were muggles around, I only gave it a cursory look and decided to come back another day. Today was the day.
When walking to the bridge we noticed a couple of muggles on the other side fishing however they did not appear to be concerned with what we were doing.
We had a look for quite a while without success when we decided to PAF who had found it previously. He did not live too far away and said he would meet us at GZ. In the meantime we kept looking and found the cache just as the PAF turned up.
This is a really sneaky hide.
Everything is good with this cache.
Find #401.

Out on a geocache hunt with adimages. This was our first for the day and had been on our radar before but as a DNF. Found and signed up by both of us. Thanks for the cache! log book bag needs replacing but log dry
Out in the boat today collecting the "Muru-kutchi" series of caches.
As we were passing under the bridge we couldn't help but take a look. The cache is in good condition nicely tucked away out of sight!!
Thanks jasenjanine

Out for a new year's paddle and caching day, we wanted to make it as far as this bridge to have a close look. We'd seen it in the distance before but not had time to visit properly. We limboed under the bridge in the kayak and pulled up on the steep bank, entangling ourselves in a cottonwood tree. We'd forgotten to bring a rope to tie up with so attached the kayak to the tree with the seat strap. Then it was a matter of climbing out of the kayak and into the tree and through various contortionist moves between the branches finally reached the bank.
We had a little "picnic" in the shade with shapes and water, then walked around to the start of the bridge. There were a few people fishing from the bridge down the other end and in the middle. J walked all the way down the length as far as you could go but I got half way to take a photo and retreated as it felt a bit precarious underfoot and scary with only very narrow planks to walk on. Very interesting piece of history luckily retained though.
From previous logs, it was a bit unclear about the best approach but as the terrain rating indicates watercraft are not essential we didn't look for the cache until we were high and dry on top of the bridge. Guessed what the clue eluded to and J found it fairly quickly once looking from the right angle. But retrieving it was a different story. It really was wedged in extremely tight! With lots of wiggling and pulling, it was eventually in hand and log signed and put back in place before one muggle family (who started walking back as we'd found it) reached us. Phew!!
Back to the kayak and back down the river towards Dunethin Rock, with more nice views of the bridge as we paddled underneath again.

We finally found ourselves out on the Maroochy River again to find a few caches we missed while attending the event at Dunethin in August. We have no idea how we managed to not find this one back in August as we had no difficulty in locating the cache this time to add our name to the log book - a good tricky hide.
Thank you jasenjanine for having placed the cache for everyone to enjoy

DNF. Think the clue & GPS points were leading us astray.
Great location & would never have visited if it weren't for geocaching, so thanks.

Out on the river in a canoe with Team__DNF for the CITO event we had an interesting collection of rubbish and a bag cache finds as well. This one eluded us on the way down the river but with a little hint from passing canoeists we spotted the little beastie on our second try. Thanks jasenjanine for the fun on our penultimate cache for today.
how did we miss that ... doh ... LOL

Up from Brisbane with IolantheK for the "Remembering the Anzacs 100 years" Event [^]
Today Brother Colin, teamdfl, Ruzzelz and 'Just a Trifle' joined us to collect a few caches and some rubbish for the CITOE from along the Maroochy River [^]
Our flotilla arrived at GZ and based on a number of previous finders started the search.
I left our kayak and hauled myself to the rails for a better look but to no avail
Me thinks it may be gone

Today Brother Colin, teamdfl, Ruzzelz and 'Just a Trifle' joined us to collect a few caches and some rubbish for the CITOE from along the Maroochy River [^]
Our flotilla arrived at GZ and based on a number of previous finders started the search.

This was the first leg of my attack on the river caches in the company of LaKedi & our very gracious skipper for the morning, FastEd59. Manning the other half of the flotilla were Stacevel Stacey, *SuzySquirrellRachael*, mtill17, & skipper Spinna76!
We had bypassed this cache, as I had planned on getting it later by road, but when the other half of our flotilla seemed to be dragging their heels we decided to head back & make sure there were no problems.
A comedy met us as we approached! LOL ...
Stacevel & SuzySqirrell were hanging on to the bridge timbers for dear life & laughing fit to burst as the tide threatened to carry them (& their watercraft) downstream while mtill17 was clinging on behind some bars (it looked like he was trying to escape prison) & Spinna was doing his best impression of 'Dr. Livingstone I presume' As he searched the undergrowth for the prize.
I was preparing to climb up & join the search when a timely 'found it' rang out & saved me the effort.
All signed & the cache was put back to rest.

What a great morning to hold a CITO event and gather some river smilies. Spinna76, SuzySquirrel, mtill17 and I boarded our luxury yacht for a fantastic day under a beautiful blue sky and bright beaming sun. We teamed up with Fast Ed, Linden/6, and LaKedi and made the rounds with alot of laughter along the way. This one took mtill and spinna a little while to find while Suzy and I used our strong Popeye muscles to stop the boat, um sorry, the yacht, from floating away.

Having been unsuccessful on this one two days earlier, we were back with reinforcements in the company of Spinna76, SuzySquirrel, mtill17, Stacevel, and Linden/6.
Finally spotted by a couple of our intrepid explorers. I'm sure Barb and I checked there.
Good to have it off the radar.

#1144 @ 9:35am ~ Found as part of the CITO event held today at Dunethin Rock. Headed out in the boat today with spinna76. Stacevel and mtill17. Alongside us were FastEd, La Kedi and linden/6, creating lots of jumps for spinna76 in their wake. This one took a little longer as mtill17 and spinna76 searched, Stacevel and I hanging onto the bridge for dear life as the boat tried to float away. (Please excuse the cut and pasted logs). Up for the weekend to attend the Remember the Anzacs 100 Years Event and the Unique Triple R (River, Rubbish, Removal) CITO Event and spend some time out on the water to enjoy the mornings kayaking and exploring the area. It had been our plan to paddle to as many caches on the river as we could on the weekend. Fortunately, we woke to a beautiful morning with little wind to impede our progress on the river and the water was very easy to paddle on.
We had caught up with T-Tech, Iolanthek, Teamdfl, brother colin and ruzzelz and we headed to this cache as some of us had yet to find it. Unfortunately even though we had some previous finders with us, we were not able to lay our hands on the cache. Well it gives us an excuse to visit again to explore some more.
Thank you jasenjanine for having placed the cache for everyone to enjoy.

Found with new geo friends mnance101, mazza151 & pinkypie05 during the CITO Unique Triple R Event on the Maroochy River travelling by canoe. Beautiful day on the water which was fun with several friendly fellow cachers passing us by, some gave us helpful tips on how to steer our means of transport (we are all first timers in a canoe) and fellow cachers assisting in signing logs when we were all banked up. We actually needed an extra hint from a previous finder on this one due to the GPS taking me to a different spot and as luck would have it, they just happened to be rowing past and pointed me in the right direction, big thanks to them for that and thanks jasenjanine & TFTC
Had a fantastic time on a hired canoe at the Triple R rubbish picking up event with my mum mnance101 my sister PinkyPie05 and a friend SnickersAllan. TFTC!
While camping at Dunethin, my Mum mnance101, my brother mazza151, Snicks Allan and myself decided to do this cache.
I was very relaxed because I didn't paddle. TFTC!

While at the Unique Triple R event today, my daughter pinkypie05, my son mazza151, snickersallan and myself decided to do some caches along the river and collect some rubbish while we were doing them. We were told by fellow cachers that they couldn't find this one. We had a look and also couldn't find it so continued on. While doing some other caches, we were told by another cacher that they had found it and gave us a hint. On our way back, Snickersallan got up and tried to find it with no luck. The aforementioned cachers came along while we were searching and gave us some more hints. Next minute Snickersallan found it! I don't think we would have without any help. TFTC!
Originally I had planned to attack the river all by Kayak. Boy am I glad that Staceval, Spinna76, and *SuzySquirrel* came to the rescue with the motor boat! I was part way carrying my kayak when I got the call. Moments later and we were on the hunt!
My appologies about the similarity of these logs but there were so many that were similar and I quite remember what happened at which cache!
This was my first experience for water caching and what a day it was indeed. Our team of four also teamed up with Linden/6, FastEd and La Kedi. I was at the front of the boat so depending on which vessel got there first I would generally race Spinna76 for the find on our ship.
This cache took a little while longer than the others to locate. Spinna had found it previously and 'looked' in the spot where he remembered it. Not seeing it we proceeded to look all over the place until he had another look in the first spot!
Thanks for the cache jasenjanine!

Nice easy find. We use to go fishing and jumping off the old came bridge when younger nice spot
Find #395
Having recently purchased a couple of kayaks.. MinkosDes and myself decided it was time to christen these badboys out on the water.. and what a better way then to do the Muru-Kutchi Trail on such a fine day??? Still getting our bearings on the new geo-mobiles we set off, full of eagerness in search for these prime caches.
At each cache we soon found ourselves in the same predicament in that MinkosDes gracefully glided into ground zero whilst I fumbled crashed and got tangled in nearly EVERY tree, branch and mangrove at ground zero. By the end of our expedition.. we both concurred that there was no need for me to get a camoed kayak as Ninyak (my kayak) was now covered in more mud than actually was left in Maroochy River and had acquired more leaves, branches, twigs and flowers then I'm pretty sure is left on the trees
By the stage we were looking at heading east along the river we decided due to time we would head to the last cache then work our way back.. but what did we see ahead??? This beautiful structure unseen by either of us and new we had to check it out.. especially when we realised there was a cache here.. So we quickly manoeuvred to ensure the kayak's didn't float away and went and explored..
I have to admit.. since starting my geocaching journey I have come to have a huge fondness of old bridges and this one was up there for me.. it was a marvel and we had it to ourselves.. SPECTACULAR!!
Thanks so much for taking us to here JasenJanine!!!

Floating along we could see something arise in the distance... "Is that an old rail-bridge ahead?" we both asked. I had not looked further along the caches we were hunting to read this one. So, it truly was unexpected. This is one aspect of Geocaching that I treasure the most, being taken to locations that are forgotten and of a time once past.
I could not have thought of a better cache to claim my "Fun with Favourites" souvenir as part of the "Geocaching Road Trip '15" on. And, I think I am also going to have to stamp this cache with a Fav' Point, it surly is worthy of one!
With recently become seaworthy, Cassow11ry and I were itching to get our duck on! Being surprised by Cassow11ry grabbing our vessels a few days early, we could not think of a better location to break-in the new Yaks. I am also so very, VERY glad to finalllllllllly convert these annoying little markers to 's... I have been waiting since I started caching to get these caches in my bag, though until today, was never able to.
It was a great day and we had a blast out on the water, going from cache to cache and be honest, just enjoying being out in the wild! Whilst on the open water we gracefully skimmed along. Then, as soon as we had to go in for a GZ, Cassow11ry went into freight-train mode and if anything was in her path... It no longer was, though now in/on her Yak!!!!
Thanks for bring us to such a great location jasenjaine and also, thanks for the cache. The weather was perfect, the Maroochy River was so inviting and the caches were awesome.
