#23134 @1155Day 3 of an 8 day trip: Drive from Canberra to Melbourne, then by air to Flinders Island, Launceston, King Island, and back to Melbourne, then drive back home to Canberra. Today, I was targeting counties, preferring to also find caches with certain attributes (e.g. size) to help with various personal goals. Cache easily found after a short stroll. TFTC.According to [Project-GC](https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC31NCB/3968 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") I qualified for this challenge with caches found on 366 calendar dates (366 needed).
[maplerosenz](https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?u=maplerosenz) has used [Project-GC](https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC31NCB/3968 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did.366 dates of 366 completed. TFT Challenge, Team Crackers!
I was working in the Cardinia reserve. Didnt have much time to find many but this one close whilst waiting for the Geotech team in the main dam wall. Wondered over and made a quick find. TFTC
I check this cache and found my note since 2018 which I forgot to log before COVID that I had qualified from the project GC checker after I logged "write note" on 19/8/2019.(kangas11 has used Project-GC Checker to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did.)Thanks Team Crackers for placing the cache
I was in the area today for a Knox U3A bird watching walk and this was one of a number of caches found after the bird watching activities. This was a quick find when I realised I was nearby although retrieval of the conatiner was a little tricky.[LynJoh](https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?u=LynJoh) has used [Project-GC](https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC31NCB/3968 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did.366 dates of 366 completed. Thanks to Team Crackers for the cache.
Oh my goodness I love a challenge cache. I'd come here just for a walk when I spotted this and was like, I HAVE to get this cache! Thankfully the find was straightforward with a very well maintained container. Getting the statistics however I remember was a struggle because I kept getting dates mixed up and having to wait another year [raindoctor](https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?u=raindoctor) has used [Project-GC](https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC31NCB/3968 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did.366 dates of 366 completed.
**Challenge Complete!**Although I "started" caching back in May 2011, I was one of those newbs who found around 30 caches in my first month and then didn't cache again for a year, and then found some more and then basically stopped again until a full decade later. It wasn't really until May 2021 during the pandemic that I reignited my love for caching. So I never really thought about going caching on **Feb-29** or the significance of it to fill in my calendar grid. However, towards the end of 2021, I discovered my love of challenge caches and started my 365 Day Streak.Which when I finished my streak in October 2022, it meant that I had only one empty little calendar date square staring at me, and I had to wait **OVER A YEAR** to finally tick that box.Well I dam well made sure to get out caching this year on **Leap Day** and finally tick my **Feb-29** date off and qualify for this challenge. I think I have had this challenge cache on my radar since the beginning of 2022, and it seems almost surreal to have the checker finally give me that most beautiful of sights...the **BIG GREEN TICK**!Of course, I just had to finally get out here to find it. Lucky today was finally the day. I got off work a bit early and so I finally had enough time to come grab this one. So after work I hopped in the geomobile and made my way over to GZ.The area was actually fairly busy when I arrived, as there were several muggles out and about. However, I was luckily able to sneak away without drawing to much attention to myself and made the quick find once I arrived at GZ.Challenges caches are my absolute favourite type of geocache and I can't think of too many challenges that I have worked towards for longer than this one. So for that alone this one would earn a favourite point from me!**Now for my qualifications**[horror.fan.jm](https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?u=horror.fan.jm) has used [Project-GC](https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC31NCB/3968 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did.366 dates of 366 completed. A huge thanks goes to [Team Crackers](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=3e759bb5-6c22-465a-adbd-913815d537ab&wid=54df8a23-2895-40cd-8b81-161559001a6b&ds=2) for such a great classic challenge. TFTC.**Cache Maintenance Status**The cache container was in good shape and the logbook was clean and dry with plenty of room for future cache finders to sign.
Challenge accepted in May 23 after returning to find this challenge cache after a previous failed attempt...qualifying stats attached. Thanks to my 366 days streak that is still going but about to end. [Tiz13](https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?u=Tiz13) has used [Project-GC](https://project-gc.com/Challenges//3968 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did.366 dates of 366 completed.
Out for a great day of laughs and finds with Snips and Co. We'd walked past this one without realising and in fact it wasn't showing at all on Snip's phone. But we went back and signed. I'm very happy to say I qualified for this earlier this month, after only 3 years of caching. Lucky the Leap Year was this year.
Oooh, another challenge to add to my list of things to achieve. Today is my 15th Cacheversary - you would like to think I'd have managed to fulfil the requirements by now, but alas not, however, the log book has been signed in anticipation of that great day
bunadoorian fulfills challenge Give Us This Day Our Daily Cache Challenge Vic. When this was signed back in 2018, I didn't think I would ever qualify but set about to do my streak. All I need to say is COVID. Yep, certainly made a mess of my attempt. As it turns out, I managed to qualify for this last year but hadn't looked at challenges until I was looking for one to log for today. Yay. Thanks for the challenge and for the cache.
Out for an afternoon caching run with GJMMelb. We searched for some time, checked hint, looked at fence and thought uh oh this looks new... Checked logs and searched for new hide but without any joy.
Challenge accepted. I still have a long way to go. Qualifying log will follow eventually.
Oh my goodness - a challenge of challenges!!
I started working towards my 366 day calendar grid pre-covid when I realised that there was no way a 366 day streak was ever going to happen.
Ad Labs had just started coming out, and when I realised that they logged as finds in Seattle time, I thought I was on a sure thing. I diligently targeted pairs of days with a regular cache and an AL find, thus collecting a find for the current day AND the day before.
It was only sometime that March that I started to notice my nice full GC grid wasn’t the same as the Project-GC version, which was looking like a piece of Swiss cheese. Then I realised that PGC doesn’t count AL finds, and this is the site that challenge checkers link to (although ironically, not with this cache).
So, I made the best of it and looked at filling my grid as a 2-year-, and then a 3-year- and finally a 4-year-plan.
Initially it was in the months leading up to a February 29 that I realised I could leave gaps on Thursdays and Fridays, because they would become much easier to fill as Saturdays and Sundays the next year.
And so it went on.
Ultimately 2022 was the year I had time off and could also close those final holes.
But then the challenge cache went missing when I went out to collect it. Subsequently it was replaced, but today I again couldn’t see anything on the fence at knee height.
So I have replaced the cache (again). Sorry.
It is now a waterproof logbook, in a ziplock bag, under a rock, behind a corner fence post.
I think I have closure.

Found with sir_spectre while on a huge Victorian holiday. A lovely spot to stop and stretch the legs and grab a few smilies.
I qualified for this challenge a few years ago, and at last I get to sign the log.
Thanks

round one was a DNF. There is a new fence at gz, i think the old cache is 1 meter on the now " wrong side " and unopen to the public. Messaged the co.
second visit. Got permission to replace it. now a bision on the fence. knee height.
Stopped to get the challenge caches near the dam. Also to get more caches in this LGA.
this should do for my qualifying stats
Longest Streak
656 consecutive days with finds from 5.9.2015 to 21.6.2017
Left with Mogni the day before Christmas to go down to Mount Gambier for Christmas Day. Then on the 27th left for Victoria. Plan A was to go to the Ottway Rangers, complete the Geo tour in Ballarat and then head to Geelong and take the Queenscliff ferry over to Sorrento then grabbing new LGA's on route to almost the New South Wales/Victoria border and the old 2001 cache near there. Also attending a community day event, a CITO and a couple of other events as well. Then head in to the high country and come back to SA in 11 days. Things didn't go to plan. Turns out that one of my almost new tyres was defective ( side wall blown out ) and blew in the ottway ranges on a narrow road in the rainforest, Drove to Melton to stay overnight and get a new tyre there, tyre machine broken and the other 5 tyre companies not open so off to geelong for a new tyre ( and some caches on the way and in geelong ) . The event we where going to attend in geelong didn't turn out, he was late by ALOT to his own event. Then to ballarat to same day since we had a b&b booked for the next few nights. Planned on getting the ferry at 1200 and ended up on the 400 pm ferry but we did attend a event and CITO in geelong. Then we drive into the rear end of a thunder storm with forecast 20 mm dropping for the next few days. Cancel the high country and change targets to letterbox D/T for fizzy grid only using letterboxes and same wirh the multi fizzy grid plus fizzy grid only using victorian caches plus any challenge caches we where near. Plus getting a few more victorian 2001 caches. And finally any caches that had 40 more more favourite points. Only got soaked to the bone for a couple of days but the water on the tracks was noticeable. On the return home tried to get the rest of the missing LGA's around the Melbourne CBD i missed in the last mega. Still a fun trip was had if not the planned one.

It will be another year or 2 before I qualify for this one, but I was hoping to sign the cache as encouragement unfortunately I could not find the cache.
A challenge that we qualify for - how novel!
Dad and son headed to the reservoir on a sunny summer afternoon, found a couple of challenges and a traditional before heading for home. Thanks heaps for playing and creating this cache.

Merry Christmas everyone! A lovely Christmas present for me is the ability to now log this cache. It’s been a long road filling gaps. I’m thankful for being told about caching in a Lear, which was before I knew about this challenge.
With all of my grid now filled and the fully coloured table attached, I am now adding this smiley to my name.
Thanks Team Crackers for placing this gamepiece in the wild for us to find.

After taking 6 years to complete this challenge, I was sad to find the cache had been recently lost behind a large chainlink fence Huge thanks to the CO for very quickly remedying the situation meaning I could finally sign the logbook on this cache that had been quietly taunting me every time I came here LOL.
Thanks Team Crackers for being #9 on our list of most found CO's and for contributing to the finds that meant I could finally put this challenge to bed.

We have placed a 400ml sistema in a new location until we can sort out a new container for this one.

Out on a blustery winter's day - even though I qualify I had no luck getting my scrawl on the log today...next time...
Out and about with echidna44 and aufit for the day. Have not been here since the kids were young. Nice easy find especially since aufit had already been here before. Thanks forthe cache Team Crackers
Out with xambo4u and au.fait, we had a day of caching walking in the beautiful Cardinia Reserve.
I had waited a long time to qualify for this challenge. Well over a year for the last day to fill in - 29th Feb in a Leap Year - but then came COVID !!!
Thanks for the Challenge Team Crackers.

A busy day, attempting to log more types than I ever have.
Mission accomplished: get today's event organiser to said events.
Logging my first cache a month or two after Leap Day in 2012, I finally qualified for this challenge at the next (somewhat obviously), with an event just after midnight, followed by my 3000th cache, Day1976’s soon-to-be-archived Significant Hike Challenge. It's taken me just over three more years to get here.
But here I am.
Thanks, Team Crackers. After a brief rummage on the edge of the greenery, I can finally make my mark.

I found this cache today after the event in the park. Although the park was super busy today there was only one couple at Gz who left just after I arrived. They left and I found the cache. We qualify for this cache according to our stats. Thanks Team Crackers

Day 3 of my extended long weekend.
Found with sharkiefan. An early Start seen us up at 5am and heading to the eastern side of the big smoke for an attempt for 12 types in a day, along with 4 Old caches I required for the Jasmer. With the big day of caching, it seen us getting back at 9pm and travelling over 380ks.
Leaving the Community Celebration Event - Crystal Brook 6,000 Event. sharkiefan said that there was a challenge cache around here. after checking the map she directed me to GZ. Looking over the requirements I realised that I do qualify for this challenge. Woo Hoo.

I'm happy to say that we have signed the log and also qualify for this challenge. We plan to return to this area to do some more caching, an area that isn't far from home and has some lovely drives with lots of caches to enjoy, including many solved puzzles that need to be signed. The cache was found in great condition and well concealed.
Thanks so much for the challenge Team Crackers.

Out today caching with Brainiac03 with the intention of clearing out cardinia reservoir and some nearby multis through the day.
This was one of the challenge caches that I sadly do not qualify for at the moment but hopefully will change that soon.

We've found this cache between a lot of rubbish.
A CITO should be done here. We've taken one bag of rubbish from other people with us, as here is no bin in the area.

Having drunk it's water down on the peninsular for the past 25 years or so, I thought it high time for me to visit the source of the supply
Today the weather was glorious, the waters were sparkling and the carpark was empty (save one other vehicle, the occupants of which could be seen off in the distance, apparently undertaking the 1 hour return walk of the dam wall)
Hence the finding of the cache was made so much easier
And in excellent condition it be!
I completed a 366 day streak back in December 2016 which assures qualification for logging this cache
Log signed and cache returned to whence it was found, I myself set off across the dam wall to seek out a few caches awaiting my attention
Many thanx to Team Crackers. Love qualifying and seeking out a challenge cache

Covid-19 restrictions are now off and geocaching is on again so time to enable again.
Due to the new Covid 19 restrictions Geo Caching is not a reason to be out so we are disabling our caches untill safe to enable again.

Having had a streak of 640 days and over a Leap Year, I've filled my 366 days' worth of caching.
Hoping life returns to some semblance of 'normal' so that I can one day get to log this cache.

The cache was found quickly today, though the hint didn't quite connect for me.
All is in top condition and the log was signed with ease.
Alas, I'm currently only at 217 of the 366 dates that I need, so I'll put this in my pile of incomplete challenges and wait until those other 149 turn up at some point!
Thanks to Team Crackers for placing this cache!

I got a bit scared at this one with the dirty undies, beer bottles and then stopped looking when saw syringes.. roaming Howie spotted it not long after.. I’ll have to wait a year to officially log it though! Thanks for the challenge.
A while to go before I can log this one but at least managed to find the cache and sign the log for future! Thanks for the hide
Need to come and sign this one now

It was time today to go looking for a few challenge caches with ilookgeo as we really enjoy these. No problem in qualifying for this one as we currently have completed our calendar quite a few times over. Thanks go to Team Crackers for issuing this challenge and for placing this cache.
Did a selection of caches today with goingplaces2 and had a good day by finding different kinds in the mix. Logs were signed and each one was different. Thanks for hiding this cache.
I qualified for this on 31/12/2019, after about 9yrs of caching! For a while I was very proactive at finding 1 cache on every missing day, a few years of working through that and I was very close to completion.
It’s been a long road and I’m happy to have spent so much time exploring outdoors. Thanks team crackers

For all the years I have lived in Melbourne I'm surprised I have never visited this park before. A lovely spot and it was pretty quiet this morning. Even the weather cooperated and it was nice and bright without being too hot to stroll around and grab a few caches. After a few finds having worked through the virtual caches I headed on to this one. There were a few other cars about but I was able to covertly look for this and made a quick find in a likely spot here. My fifth find of seven for the day. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the challenge cache Team Crackers.

Its wonderful to see we qualify for this Challenge Cache, our next challenge is a trip over the Nullabor again from west to east to find some more Challenge Caches on the Easter on Seaboard.

I qualified for this challenge more than a year ago after completing a 403 day streak. This was the first time since then we’ve been to this park, so I took advantage of being here to go and find this one. The clue was a bit cryptic but the finding device actually took me pretty close to GZ. It had been playing up all day. The cache and contents are in good condition. Thanks for creating a challenge achievable by some of us less agile Geocachers.
Visit the reservoir to do the ARs caches nearby. Found this cache but I didn’t qualify for this one. I will reach over 366 days in April 2020.
We do so love a Challenge cache and so we simply had to come and search for this one even though, over 14,000 caches later we still don’t yet qualify. We live in country with only around 300 caches in total and only became aware of the daily grid 7 years ago, but sadly on the 29th February 2016 we were at home with no caches to find anywhere near us! However we are determined to finally qualify on the 29th February 2020 - the only date we are missing - and so in just under a years time we should be able to turn this Write Note into a Found It log. The cache itself was soon found once at Ground Zero and the log book signed in anticipation. Thanks so much for the cache and for the challenge. Greetings from Zimbabwe
While in the area doing an AR cache, I had come up and try for this cache again. Almost a year ago, we failed to find this cache. However this time it was a nice easy find, in the obvious location, with some protection from some moldy ladies undergarments.
February 29th seems to be the day that people struggle with. For us, the last February 29th happened in only our second month of geocaching. That was before we were premium, before we knew about daily streaks for an entire year and before we knew about finding geocaches on every day of the year. All I knew at the time, was February 29th doesn't happen often, so lets get a few caches.
So glad, I did because doing that and a daily streak for 385 days, means we easily qualify for this challenge cache
Thanks for the challenge Team Crackers

We finished our 366 day streak of caching last year but totally forgot about this challenge cache till we set out to put some caches in this park ourselves. Thanks for placing this challenge cache out. We were glad when we finished our streak at 366!

What a beautiful day. I took a friend for a ride in the sidecar, and we had a milk shake in Gembrook before logging this cache. Thanks for the fun Team Crackers.
I remember when I first started caching someone told me about the 366 challenge. Luckily it was just before the last leap year so I could tick off that pesky box on the calendar! The 366 has actually been completed for a while, but I had never quite gotten around to finding this cache. I decided to rectify this today. Having found a cache with a few names in the log, I am now wondering if two caches are in play as these weren't the recent finders names. Hmmm! I did pick up a TB that has been in there for a while. TFTC!

I’ve been working on this challenge all year.
Being in hospital and rehab for most of the month of December for the past two years, I’ve been caching nearly every day this Dec.
Well, with a day of paddling at Lake Nagambie today, my calendar is finally full!
Since we were practically driving right past on our way to PP7’s event, we decided to stop by and finally sign off on this awesome challenge.
Cheers Team Crackers

**Find #3147**
**Mystery Cache Find #475**
I noticed that this cache had been replaced a couple of days ago. That came as a relief because it meant that my failure of a month ago wasn't the result of my caching mojo being 'on the fritz', the cache had been muggled.
I returned today and after a dog walking muggle left, made a quick find in a place that I had looked during my first visit.
It took me just over six years to complete my P366 and I'm glad that grid is now complete.

Back from holidays we are doing a bit of cache maintenance.
This one was missing so a new container and log have been replaced.

It took me just over 6 years to complete my P366 and I completed it just last month. I've been looking forward to coming and finding this cache now that I've qualified for the challenge but it wasn't to be. I took note of the D/T rating and the coords seemed good, but I couldn't spot it. Either the hint is too cryptic or I need more sleep before I go out caching and that didn't help me either. After searching for around 15 minutes, I reluctantly gave up for now.
Like The Terminator, I'll be back.
Like The Terminator, I'll be back.
My plan was to get the trads and maybe one of the multis here today but as I was having coffee and checking out the map I saw this Challenge cache that I qualify for.
Upon arrival there was a muggle dude parked right in front of GZ so I went bush to find the closest trad and when I returned he had gone.
A quick find here and cache in mint condition.
Thanks Team Crackers

Since moving from New Zealand I have been enjoying the area, exploring and finding caches.
So far I’ve knocked off 4 of the states. VIC, SA, NSW and A.C.T
No two areas are the same here and almost every place I go is stunning. The beauty of caching is that it takes you to so many places you would never usually find.
Thank you to all the cachers out there for hiding and maintaining their caches. Especially to those who put so much effort into creating unique and fun hides.
The caches I’ve found in Australia so far have for the most part all been in great condition. Keep up the good work.

We have completed "This Day Our Daily Cache" not only for one year but two. The silly things you do as newbies until you run out of local caches. We did think about moving to Melbourne but thought better of up rooting without jobs......no job no petrol for more caching lol

As usual, I needed to find a cache today for my streak (is that over yet?) I headed here, to an area I like to avoid. You see, despite been a strong swimmer, an occasional sailor, a kayaker and scuba diver... I don’t like unnatural bodies of water. Dam walls are not my thing. Ive come here once before for a cache, and I have to say, it was a lot less terrifying this time around. I guess nothing overflowed etc last time hey! I pondered which item matched the clue, found some ladies underwear (I thought I might leave them there the next cacher might want to take them home and wash them, you never know), and signed a log. As I extracted myself from a bush a rather interested muggle appeared, the passenger in a passing car. Opps. Dressed in my finest “I’m hanging around in the shed today working on my car, nobody will see me tracksuit” I tried to look respectable, hoping, upon hoping, that the car wouldn’t park, and ladies underwear wouldn’t be associated with me... I guess they will, at least distract people from the cache! TFTC and for the challenge Team Crackers. I have attached my found cache calendar.
No luck finding this one.
Son did find some ladies undies.
Confirmed with PAF too.

Did not find it! OMG! I’ve been qualified for this cache since the last Leap Year and with a day off from work, I thought it was about time I found it! Do you think I could find it! No!! I parked at GZ, which is the furthest parking spot from the entrance and had Beethoven’s 5th Symphony blaring on the radio in anticipation of my imminent find! And then a mini bus pulls in and parks next to my car! The driver gets out and asks me “where are the kangaroos?” So I politely gave directions to alternative kangaroo viewing locations and waited for them to leave. Which took forever! So while they were piss farting around looking at maps on their phone, I did some CITO disguised cache searching. All I came up with was rubbish!! Crap! The tourists finally drove away only to be replaced by more tourists! So by now Beethoven had finished and I was still empty handed. With a steady stream of cars arriving to take in the view, I gave up! I will be back!! Anyway thanks for the challenge?!
Finally found after several years of gradually knocking off my daily caching calendar. Keen to finish this one and after fulfilling the requirements last month l figured that l would venture out this way and sign my name in the log book. Found with omegaman1971 this afternoon as we both qualified for this challenge, thanks Team Crackers for the cache and for bringing us here.(my first time ever)

Planning a day trip to Cardinia Reservoir and discovered this challenge cache. We certainly don't qualify after caching for only 13 months, however reading the logs, glad we grabbed a cache on February 29 2016 when we first started. Sounds like it was a long wait for some people.

Found it, well that was the easy part, that took about 30 seconds. Getting the qualification requirements took about 2 months short of 3 years. I have looked at this cache many times over that period and just assumed we would never get it, it wasn't something we specifically aimed for but it just seemed to fall into place for us, where about a week ago the last square filled up and bingo, it was time to go and clear this never never cache of our map. Who would have thought when we started this journey, we would achieve the 366, in fact we hadn't even heard of it, but hey you learn something new each day. Well it was nice to cross it off before the journey ends,

Today we explored Berwick and surrounds using geocaching as a guide and picking up a few caches on the way and this was one of them. An easy find by Mrs "T" have fullfilled the requirements to log this cache, a great place for lunch.

Despite Spiffy- trying to keep me on track and wven planning an annual leave day on leap day... I still stuffed up and didn't get a cache last year on the 26th Nov....I even took my geokid GT02 to find a cache in that day last year but I had already found it previously. This year although it took til 9pm, I finally did my P366. Yay. I can finally log this cache!
With the P366 calendar filled about two years ago, I am happy to be able to qualify for this challenge. This is a fantastic location, and I had been further north along the reservoir a few months ago, but time and other commitments meant that I had to leave this section for another day. Well today I was back, and with glorious afternoon sunshine I was soon adding my name to the log.

I was out today to visit the Na'wal parents today with the geo kiddies for an early father's day visit. The plan was to make our way to Aura Vale Lake as it is an area that I spent a lot of time at when I lived up this way as a child. The weather didn't look promising but thankfully the rain stayed away for us to enjoy a great morning. I had finished my calendar colouring some time ago and I;'m looking to finish it for a second time later this year. This is the second challenge I have done for this. It's not an easy challenge by any means and from memory the other challenge was a 5 rating. We pulled up the geo vehicle close by with no muggles about and made a fairly quick find here. Challenge picture attached. Signed and returned as found.

In the area to assist with the show n shine. I qualified like many others on Feb 29 this year. Still haven't been caching for a full 4 years so it was my 1st time getting a shot at the 29th. I'd actually seen this cache before when I was here 3 years ago for the same event but was years away from a leap year. Now I finally filled the calender. Happy days. Thanks for the challenge. Tftc
Having found my first cache not long after the previous leap day I was in no hurry to complete my calendar as I knew I'd have one little square that would take almost four years to fill. However early last year I realised that the opportunity to complete the calendar was fast approaching. As the year progressed there were some days that the need to get a cache was very inconvenient added to that was a trip to the USA with the non caching family who were less than interested in which days I needed to find a cache. (Try telling your kids we need to stop for a cache before we go to Disneyland). In the ed it was all worth it as I'm able to finally claim this smiley. only 3 or 4 months after becoming eligible. Eighthknox suggested we head out for the find and with all the young kids in tow we were able to quickly find the cache. TFTC
It had been a few months since achieving this challenge, and with the Kings and Queens challenge cache found the day prior I thought I would see if nanton34 would be up to making the 365 day challenge official by putting our name to this cache. I had both kids with me and nanton brought across his youngest daughter. Once we had both arrived, finding the cache didn't take too long at all to find, with nanton34's daughter stating this cache was easy to find - we knew it was anything but with several trips on dates last year where we wanted to do anything but find a cache with inclement weather, travel and busy lives making this one a particularly difficult challenge to achieve. After finding this one we set off to find the others nearby. tftc
We found most of our caches in 2014/2015 - the second half of last year became a bit of a slog to get a cache for all our missing days. We've rediscovered our joy in caching this year with the pressure off to make finds on a particular day. It was all pressure we put on ourselves, mind you! It's taken us a couple of years to realise that a relaxed approach to caching works best for our family.
Today the eldest geokid was running in district cross-country at Crystal Brook picnic ground so the youngest geokid and I got to Cardinia Park early in order to find a few caches - this was our prime target. Phew! Done. Now onto the next challenge . . .

Found and signed while caching in the area earlier in the year with Glanville Girls & Wozzle68 and I am able to claim as a find now that I'm eligible

Found it. Haven't filled in enough days yet. Will log the find when I complete the challenge.
Almost forgot to log this one. We've been waiting for leap day 2016 in anticipation of logging this challenge. We signed the log on an earlier visit to the area. Thanks for placing Team Crackers.
Thanks for placing the challenge Team Crackers. I started caching in January 2014 and toward the end of that year I decided to try and completely fill in my calendar on the 29th of Feb this year. Success, although at time I struggled to find motivation to get out and log a cache I managed to complete the job.
I started caching three and half years ago and although I finished my 365 Day calendar back last December, I had to wait until today...my first opportunity to find a cache on February 29th...before I could qualify for this Challenge.
Having attended my third "Leap Day" event in Officer, I made my way over here to find this cache. When I arrived the car park was vacant so I was able to freely hunt out the cache...which didn't take long. Before I had finished signing the log, Team Thommo showed up.
With the log signed and the cached returned, we both left for the "Leap Day" event...this time it was one that I had organised for less than a kilometre away at the bottom of the dam wall...funny about that .
Thanks Team Crackers for this challenge cache.

Thanks so much Team Crackers for providing us with such a challenging cache. Having only been caching for a couple of years, it was a real effort to keep the streak going as long as possible, until a few days of sickness in January last year put an end to it. However a resurgence saw another good effort to complete it all bar 29th February. To ensure that one I ran a well attended event yesterday today in Shepparton, so can officially claim this one, which I signed on the 24th of this month, on our way home from the Cowes event.
To claim this cache we have travelled as far north as Cooktown, all the way over to Albany in WA, and spent our golden wedding anniversary geocaching in Tasmania for three weeks.
Thanks again for helping us see so much of this magnificent country through the eyes of geocachers.
We have booked our flights to attend WA Goes Big in June, and, whilst there, sign their equivalent to this cache in Mandurah.
We have given you a favourite point for our wonderful memories

I finished my Project 366 today!! Yipppeeee!! - what an EPIC adventure this has been!
I'm really glad that I cottoned onto the Leap Year 29th of Feb thing early into my caching life, I attribute this cache not being too far from home to making me aware early on. It would have been terrible to have to wait another 4 years! Being that I (we) have only been caching for 641 days to have filled in 366 days is a bit of a feat. It's mainly due to a streak I was able to do in 14/15 ---> Most consecutive days with finds: 296, from 2014-09-18 to 2015-07-10.
Would I do a streak like that again --- NO -- Do I recommend it to anyone NO. I became obsessed and I would hate to calculate how much $ I spent on petrol traveling out of my home area just to find a cache! With that said i was extremely fortunate and did quite a few trips away in that time also making the job easier.
My advise to anyone trying to do this challenge... leave the caches close to home so you have them to do on days where you really can't get out further away to find a cache. I have changed my caching style a a lot since finishing that streak: Apart from FTF ( I'll still cross 4 lanes of traffic for one of those) the compulsion to find them all has gone (thank goodness), now I'm guided by who the CO is, (I love that I can be nearly anywhere in Australia and the CO of of this challenge pops up) location and or % FP. When we travel my family cringe at doing all the caches on the way and I don't blame them there are only so many rest stops one family can stop in. I'm drawn to Earth caches and of course will always go out of my way for a virtual or web cam but they are rare. Isolated bush caches are great, significantly old ones are pretty cool too, location and execution are a big factor for me now. The only problem with that is I run out of Fav points quickly.
Anyway TFTC Team Crackers, Happy to have my name in the log book. SL TNLN TBV
