After replacing the cache twice now I decided that this is not a good area to place a cache. So it is best to archive it.
Had a decent look for the cache but it looks like it might have been washed away with teh recent floods.
If anyone finds the remains of the old cache could you check to see if there is any remnant of our travel bug DALK.
Thanks, Melbridge.

Second time lucky for this one. Didn't find previously, but was feeling lucky after FRF at Nake

After a couple of DNF reports and a recent bushfire I decided to check on this cache. I couldn't find the cache so I placed a repalcement but the old GZ is now bare so I have moved a little. Now the will be about 20Ms of bush bashing.

Trees and burnt stumps are in abundance and it makes for a very dirty caching environment.
Yorki & Hound and GeoJen & I searched almost the entire burnt area but did not achieve any success.
Not a good way to finish up an otherwise successful days caching.
Got the distinct feeling that something was absent "The Cache".
Thanks Treking Trev for bringing us to this area.

A recent fire in this area has added a number of burnt stumps and black trees. Was supposed to be our last cache of the day after finding 10 others in and around Caboolture with Virga 13 and GeoJen. Think this one may have gone up in smoke. TFTC Trev.
For some reason that took a bit of searching. Was a long way from starting point ?
An easy walk to GZ soon had the cache spotted. Congratulations (I know it was a while ago) on your 2000 find and your 50th hide, but still a great way to mark both of those milestones

We picked up 2050 and Grey Gardy on the same pass. Initially the Tom Tom put us on the wrong side of the swampy creek for 2050 after a little walk in but a trip back to the car soon had us on the other side where we made a quick muggle free find. We completed the signing duties and rehid. TN LN TFTC.
Certainly not much happening in this street for Grey Gardy (Nice Cache Name) expect on pulling up some ones dog put out the welcome bark. We could have almost reached this one from the car window and made a quick find. Lots of road works nearby so hopefully this one won't get impacted. We signed the log and re hid. TFTC

Left pirate medallion, took nothing. It was all too damp and yucky
TFTC!

This was the last find of the day, now we off home for happy hour.
Thanks for all your caches Treking Trev

Daylight was fading when I parked to get this one but I decided that I could get it.
I don't think I had parked as close as I could but I enjoyed the walk against a brisk chilling breeze.
Luckily there was enough daylight left when I arrived that I could spot the hiding spot.
As others have said things are a bit damp inside.
TFTC.

Just read the 'wesso family' log and can tell you that the next downpour has happened and this cache had a drenching. Emptied the smelly water out, contents are slimy and wet. The log isn't wet, but doesn't feel totally dry, if you know what I mean. It will be fine with a little sun. Good thing it was double bagged.
Found @ 1245
We parked at the end of the street and made our way to GZ. This turned out to be a nice quick find thanks to Geoson who found it by accident.... He tripped over it [:o)]
We signed the log and replaced it back into it's hide.
The log was a little damp and we emptied the H2O out of the container. So should be good for a little while until the next down pour

1187 - We were off to visit the ego mother up the coast this afternoon, and with all of the traffic on the highway, we were happy to take a detour to grab this one. Found the cache with some water in the bottom of the container at 1:08pm. The log book was dry as it was secured inside the two bags. Grabbed the Yellow School Bus (YSB #3) TB.
It was a nice walk in to the cache, and like others before us, we parked on Grogan Street and walked through the bushland, but upon arriving at GZ, saw there were some better alternatives. Not to worry, we weren't in a hurry today and it was a nice walk through the bush down to a creek. Thanks for bringing us back here Treking Trev.

Found without problems. The cache has a small amount of water inside but because of the double bagging and dessicator, the log is in perfect condition. Thanks Treking Trev
My son Mitchell found this one before I did. He loves this geocaching thing.
1 of 4 Cache clean up today. Replaced log book with a small temp log until the wet seasion is over.
Easy find, I put more goodies in the box. TFTC, First for 2012 and I think I dated the log the wrong date.
7th of 8 finds for the day at 12:10. 4/4 of yours for the day.
My TomTom must have thought I needed a good walk as it parked me on Grogan Road when one of the Courts nearer the cache would have provided a shorter walk.
Cache was in good condition.

Although we tried to park as close as possible and even thoughwe enjoyed the walk through the trees we weren't surprised to find a road not too far from GZ. You get that sometimes.
Loved the "donuts" on the trakcs just near the "no bikes" signs.

Out on a day through the North Side
I soon found the cache and it is in good condition.

Oh boy. I used to frequent this bush when I was a teen and doing "teen things". Nice quick find, TFTC.
Lovely little spot to walk across at the end of a long day's caching. Thanks Treking Trev for a lovely cache.
Once again the in-car GPS turned what could have been a lovely stroll across mowed lawns into a bush-bash.
After follwoing a winding path and crossing less than swollen rivers we eventually located the cache.
TNLN and we identified a short cut for our return journey which saved us heaps of time and walking.
Congratulations Treking Trev on your 2050 milestone. I'm confident though that you are onto bigger numbers as we speak.

Treking Trev has placed another successful cache for Jnr and Snr Dancing Queens. Jnr said what about over there and then Snr went and looked and found it! We took the BRINGMICHWEG Travel bug and replaced it with a geo coin.
Great walking tracks in this area, as I found out coming in from the difficult side! TNLN TFTC
=) found tonight around 7pm, nice how you always find these little pockets of bushland at the end of suburban streets Treking Trev !! thanks again for the cache =)
If Fangsoki can go about something the difficult way, he will Being night time, I did not noticed the large expanse of park where GZ was. Noooo.. but I did notice the bushland next to it - and trotted along the path - until I got within 70m the cahce.
Into the bush I went - only to find the big park With the cache soon located and signed, I legged it through "the much easier terrain" park back to the car. Oh well - nothing like getting the heart pumping. TFTC Treking Trev - and congratulations on your milestones

Found by Sunshine Toledo and Jinga2 at 2:30pm. We approached this cache from the track and had to cross the creek to get near GZ and could do so because it is so dry at the moment. The cache was easily found and it is in good condition Out: TB. TFTC.
Was just replacing the cache when Bristracker and karenhippo turned up. Had a bit of a chat, then it was time to move on.
Nice round numbers there TT!!

Parked near the park and thoroughly did not enjoy being watched by a pair of Caboolture bogans as I walked across the park towards the cache. Co-ords were spot on though, and a quick find. Congratulations on the big 2K finds too. Luckily the bogans were gone for my return journey. TFTC.
Another new cache for us to find

Nice to find a Treking Trev cache after a long interval. Today I hosted a CITO Event in Caboolture so couldn't do much caching until afternoon, but I knew this one wouldn't be too sneaky. I remember Trev's 1020 - boy has he moved on since then. Lovely caching day. Just realised it was only published yesterday so I came at the right time.
HOORAY … *FTF* @ 05:45. Caching in the dark is excitingly different, however it does have it's downfalls … especially if you forget your torch. And i parked the truck on Grogan Rd (which is where the garmin took me to). I spotted an entrance track into the park as i pulled up, but i was 380m from GZ. Oh well, a nice morning for a walk.
It was when i started along the track that i realised i had forgotten my torch. [:o)] Lucky my HTC has a good 'flashlight' function. I used it to negotiate my way through the tracks until i reached the open field … ... there's an open field?
I finally got to GZ, and with the help of my phone again, spotted something worth checking out … yep, a cache! [^]
Congratulations on your 2000 finds and also for your 50 hides. This one is our 39th Treking Trev cache. So thanks for your efforts Trev (and Marg), we look forward to many more. Took FTF envelope (Thanks again) TFTC
